Osteria Barcellona Torino Reviews
Delicious dinner and truly delicious dishes. The quality and freshness of the fish were evident. We'll definitely be back!
Everything was excellent: very fresh fish, well-cooked and delivered. Even the limited menu shows attention to quality. The appetizer deserves a special mention: tuna and tomato. I won't give away any spoilers: try it!
A true gem, a family-run restaurant where passion for cooking shines through in every detail. I was enchanted by the owners' dedication and professionalism: she, in the dining room, is incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly, always ready to offer advice with a smile. He, in the kitchen, is a true master of flavor. The menu, entirely based on seafood, is a guarantee of absolute freshness, something I greatly appreciate. What struck me most is that the menu changes daily based on the catch available, making each visit a unique and always surprising experience. The dishes are truly unique, with superb flavor combinations that delight the palate. Furthermore, the value for money is nothing short of excellent. The restaurant is welcoming and well-maintained, with the option of dining indoors or on a closed, air-conditioned veranda, perfect for any season. I highly recommend Osteria Barcellona to anyone looking for an authentic culinary experience, featuring the freshest seafood and unforgettable flavors, all in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. We're always happy to return!
This intimate restaurant offers some of the best seafood I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The highlight was definitely the food, which surpassed all expectations. Ilaria, the owner, was also fantastic, making us feel right at home with her warm and attentive service. A must-visit for anyone who loves great seafood!
How many places do you know in Turin where you can eat fresh, well-cooked and beautifully presented fish, served with kindness and friendliness, for €42 per person, including wine? I can't think of any others! The secret lies in a young couple: she in the dining room, he in the kitchen, with so much passion and care for what they do. Just don't go in a rush like someone who wants to leave after half an hour to go to the movies. When the place is full, you may sometimes find yourself waiting a few minutes for your dishes, but I assure you it's worth the wait and the expense... We've been a few times and have always found the menu to be limited, based on the fresh fish of the day, but always of high quality. So, a round of applause for this little place and these two great young people. You deserve it. September 13th. We returned to rediscover the pleasant things about Turin after returning from vacation. I can confirm everything, including the friendliness and cordiality. I've added some photos of the new delicacies. €104 for three, including wine... what else?
Small and welcoming environment, very few tables. We spent €59 for two fish starters, two fish first courses, water and coke. The menu varies every day and this shows the freshness of the fish cooked. I think prices are normal for Turin, 15% lower than in Milan. I would happily stay here again. I recommend the brandacujum and the pasta with prawns. Friendly and professional staff.
Azzardo: the best place to eat seafood (and not only, because the desserts are also a strong selling point) in Turin. The ingredients are of the highest quality and freshness. The menu varies based on the availability of the catch, but the common thread in each dish is the ability to convey beauty and goodness, crafted by young people who love their art. (I ate there three times on July 8, 2023, and I will definitely return.) I stand by my full review after a few months, after returning two or three more times. I should add that, in the winter, the meat dishes are just as good as the fish ones—that is, fabulous. The orecchiette with lamb ragù is remarkable, but the red wine braised beef is the absolute star: incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth. I'll definitely return soon to try the lamb (Last visit: December 15, 2023).
A small, welcoming restaurant offering flavorful Sicilian cuisine. You can feel Sicily as soon as you step inside, starting with the decor and the photos of fresh fish hanging on the wall near the register. It's impossible not to notice the evocative, dream-themed mural at the back of the room, truly striking. The cuisine is home-style: simple, authentic, delicate, and delicious, with an eye for quality. Everything is fresh and expertly prepared. Excellent value, generous portions, and superb quality. With two covers, bread, a small bottle of water, the Mediterranean platter, two first courses, a dessert, and a coffee, we paid €22.50 each. The restaurant is very small; there's also an indoor terrace, but seating is limited, so reservations are required. If you want to experience a small but welcoming corner of Sicily in Turin, you can't miss it! Congratulations, and see you next time!
As a former chef, you can recognize the exaltation of the raw materials and the passion and professionalism in the preparation. All the fish dishes were well-balanced and overall complete in their flavor and pairing. The chefs in the kitchen, young but with considerable knowledge, knew how to handle and enhance all the ingredients. The option of choosing meat-based dishes from the menu was a real winner for one of the two diners. We were transported to an era when the "ostu" was willing to chat and spend time with the diners. Overall, the evening was very intimate and peaceful, providing us with culinary experiences. Thank you, we'll see you again!
Really nice local restaurant, with a small menu full of tasty dishes. The owner is also super friendly, it's always a pleasure to return to eat there.
A hidden gem in the heart of the San Donato neighborhood, Osteria Barcellona offers excellent seafood dishes—delicate, flavorful, and beautiful to look at, with perfect portions that leave just enough room for dessert. The owner is friendly and welcoming, offering excellent menu suggestions to suit your needs. Highly recommended, it's worth a visit, especially if you want to escape the busier areas of the city center for a quieter lunch or dinner.
A very cute place, small but welcoming, with a lovely outdoor terrace in the internal courtyard. The owner is very kind and helpful, and the food was absolutely top-quality and very well-cooked. Prices are reasonable, and the place also offers an excellent lunch menu at reasonable prices. I'll be back, highly recommended.
The appetizer was a good, dry fried fish dish, followed by a main course of grilled octopus with a Mediterranean salad. The food was good. I also tried the first course of scialatelli with fish, which was also good. I'd go back.
Cute, it perfectly embodies the idea of an osteria. Small and well-kept. A place for couples. Unfortunately, the food didn't satisfy us. The orecchiette alla pescatore were cooked well, but lacked flavor. The fish, while certainly fresh, was burnt and bitter. Let's just say the sauce didn't add any flavor. We then tried fried calamari, but unfortunately, it was also browned during cooking. Probably old oil, but the cooking wasn't perfect. I then peeked into the kitchen and it didn't give me the impression of a particularly well-kept place. Too bad. Furthermore, the dinner, which was supposed to be a celebration with my wife, was ruined by the usual rude people with a capricious child.
