Trattoria Piemontese Torino Reviews
Lovely traditional piemontese food in a family restaurant atmosphere - small and big tables covered in tablecloths, hastling waiters with large food trays, and a window overlooking the street. House wine is extremely affordable.
Yeah, this is a place to go. The food was awesome... Felt very local.. definitely not touristy and very very tasty... I might've got another plate of pasta instead of dessert...We made reservations for the next night while we were still enjoying our meal...

(For two) Good traditional food. The gnocchi (1st choice of the menu) were very nice but the quantity was maybe too much, depending on how much you usually eat. 🫣 The hamburger was actually two beef patties without bun (or anything else ?) – just potatoes and sauces as sides. But at least the steaks were nice 🤷🏻♀️ In conclusion : you can go, it's tasty and approved 👍🏻
We came to this restaurant on a few occasions and we've always had a good time and experience. I have no bad points to highlight, the only thing is that last time we went portions were noticeable smaller compared to past times we went
Unlike most people who were upset about the long wait, our food came quickly and we were really surprised, as I had read the reviews before going to the restaurant. And I told my friends that the only drawback of this restaurant would be that the food would arrive late. Anyway, our food came on time, the quality of the food was good, I can't say it was great, because I've really had better Torinese food in another local restaurant. The attitude of the waiters was very great and friendly, the only weakness I can get is that, there were eight of us, and we asked for bread and parmesan cheese, but for the first series, we received bread and parmesan cheese for two, which was resolved by asking again. The taste and quality of the wine was normal. Even though we were noisy, the waiters were still nice to us, which was very valuable. In general, the environment of the restaurant is excellent, the quality of the food is acceptable, the behavior of the waiters is excellent...
Friendly place with a good mix of local dishes at reasonable prices. The portions vary in size. Absolutely spectacular: the bagna cauda.
Trattoria Piemontese is aptly named: the offerings honor not just the Piemonte region, but Turin specifically (also). The restaurant and the menu are traditional, and down home - like going home to mom’s cooking. If you want to experience an off the beaten path, neighborhood restaurant that serves truly traditional food, be sure to eat here.

We, two couples have chosen this place to eat where the ?normal? people of Torino eat. It was a recommendation from a blog. Even the outside seats are not too comfortable and the atmosphere at firs…
Restaurant was recommend by locals, as traditional restaurant. We probably didn't understand local traditional food, and less than average service didn't help at all. We weren't impressed, to be honest. Food bland, fresh, but without taste and flavours. This is why we didn't risk with dessert, and skip it.
I visit Italy several times a year, and I can honestly say this was the worst meal I’ve ever had in the country. The food seemed like it had been prepared long in advance and simply reheated. Very poor quality overall. I blame myself for ignoring the warning signs—despite the 4/5 rating—and choosing this place based on a recommendation from our hotel reception.
The food was not very good, its was okay but very blend. Some of the things we ordered never arrived, it was very bright due to the office lights they use which destroys the atmosphere. Will not go again obviously.
There were a lot of problems during our dinner but i will start from the service. The waiter was rude and came 6 times in a period of 10min to ask us if we are ready. When we got ready, we ordered pizza and she replied that they didn't serve pizza(they had 20 types of pizza in the menu). We ordered a foccacia which was probably frozen and warmed a little bit. The food came quickly but most of it was not made at the moment. Then we asked about the desserts(they are not in the menu). She told us all of them and said that she would come back in a min. After 30min of her not coming and around 5 tries to catch her attention we just gave up and went to the cashier to pay. Okish food but chaotic service.
I do not share details, but the service was just awful. This was not even made up by the food, which was from decent to good (I am originally from Piedmont, I know what I am talking about). It is just not worth, you can have better food and way (!) better services in soooo many places, that I do not see why I should recommend this place or take here any of my visiting friends.
The food was good. That's pretty much everything positive I can say. The service was absurdly slow, we arrived at 13:45 and left at almost 16. By the time the plates went out, some of them were even cold. It was definetly not worth the wait. The service was hectic, which meant there was a lot of confusion with our orders. Disappointed to say the least.
Service is extremely slow, inconsistent and doesn't match the value delivered by the kitchen. After waiting for one hour for the first starters to come, we queried the waiters and we were told that"here we are cooking everything fresh and at the moment" (that to be fair I wouldn't expect anything else from a restaurant....) The quality of the food was between average and decent, with large choices of typical Piedmont dishes. Maybe waiting half an hour for each different course didn't help to appreciate the food. Everything spoiled from the service. I do not recommend, spending two hours an half for a lunch, where we chose a predefined menu, seems to much..
You have to wait for eternity just to be given the menu. Then wait for another eternity to make your orders. I don’t even know if it’s just terrible service or something that has to do with racism because all the other tables around us (they arrived after us) were not having any troubles with getting their menus and ordering the food. In the end we just left and enjoyed the food at another place. Just don’t go there, waste of time. There are many other places in Turin with great hospitality and food.
This is my second time coming to this restaurant. The first time was with my local Italian friends. The experience was very good, so I came here a second time. However, this time we got very bad service attitude. The waiter was very rude and arrogant when serving the food and taking the plates. Without asking, she took the cutlery and plates right out of my friend's hands. Furthermore, while all my friends were finishing their second courses, my first course hadn't been served yet. I went to inquire and was told repeatedly "You must finish your first course before I serve the second course.", which I couldn't understand at all…… Twenty minutes later, I asked again, and at this time they told me very impatiently and forcefully: "Your two dishes are already being prepared and will be given to you right away."... It’s a very, very bad dining experience , I felt offended and disrespected, I will never come again.
