If you're on the hunt for a genuinely tasty ramen experience in Torrance, Santouka, tucked inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, deserves a spot on your list. Often cited as a top contender in the area, their multiple locations within Japanese communities speak to their authentic flavors. Unlike some of the richer, more complex ramen styles, Santouka focuses on the clean and satisfying taste of their broth. With distinct options available, the quick service and thoughtful presentation of separate noodles and toppings allow for a personalized dining experience. While more of a fast-casual setting, the quality of the ramen shines through, and at around $20 per person (with three size choices), it offers excellent value. For those seeking a quick yet high-quality meal, especially ramen enthusiasts, Santouka easily ranks among my top South Bay recommendations. The convenience of ample free parking in the Del Amo Fashion Center lot is an added bonus. Definitely a solid choice for a flavorful and efficient ramen fix.

This is my Girlfriends FAVORITE Ramen. Being in Mitsuwa gives the atmosphere a real Japanese vibe. The broth is light but still plenty of flavor. The wait is always short and the staff are accommodating. I would recommend checking out Santouka in Mitsuwa if you have never been and we will definitely be back.

Loved the spicy miso ramen! Great flavor, highly recommend. I would say the Spice level is medium. Give it a try!! :)

The Ramen is excellent. I love the rich broth with a savory taste. The noodles texture is just right on the firm side. The pork belly is thick but tender. My go to is the Spicy Miso Combo with the Ikura rice.

Whenever I crave ramen, I come here only. That's all I have to say. My go-to order is the salt ramen. Taste is simple, not too salty, and never disappoints. Also, you don't have to pay tip. Come here if you have a ramen craving!!

This ramen restaurant is located in the food court of Mitsuwa Supermarket. This noodle shop originates from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan. Their ramen are delightful, and the soup has a richer flavor but a bit oily. The price is also reasonable.

The food court at Mitsuwa might just be one of my more favoured places of convenience. It’s a compact paradise packed with solid food spots, all dishing out generous portions at great value. My go-to? The spicy miso ramen from that one Ramen Santouka. Now, before you say, “But I can’t handle spicy!”, relax. It’s more of a flavorful nudge than a full-on fire alarm. Spice lovers might find it a bit tame, but the depth of flavor more than makes up for it. Trust me, your taste buds will forgive the lack of a five-alarm blaze. The staff are always lovely, the ordering process is smooth, and while the wait is usually short, I like to use that time to grab a dessert from one of the other stalls—because balance, right? If you’re looking for a quick, satisfying, and flavorful bite all in one cozy corner, Mitsuwa delivers every time.

Great lunch spot for quick and tasty ramen. Located in the Mitsuwa Marketplace which has plenty of fantastic options. There’s plenty of parking since it’s adjacent to the Del Amo Mall. Service is quick and friendly. You can customize the size of your ramen and get add-ons as well. I usually add extra pork and it’s worth it!

I came during the early dinner time (around 5 pm) on a Tuesday, so the line was really short, about 2 people ahead of me. I came on a Saturday before, and the line was super long, maybe about a dozen people. I always ordered the same thing when I visit Santouka: #83 aka D combo - medium miso ramen & char siu bowl. The broth is creamy and delicious, not too salty, not too watered down. This is as good as any fast food ramen you can get. The marinated egg and noodles had good consistency. The roasted pork in the ramen can be a hit or a miss, sometimes it's nice and soft, sometimes it's chewy and a little tough. The char siu rice bowl has a good marinate, although the topping can be a bit fatty. Service was quick. I waited maybe for about 10 minutes before my beeper notified me to pick up the food. FYI, the beeper doesn't work if you wait outside at the outdoor patio. The cashier warned me about it.

Order large miso ramen. The food was good and delicious. Would visit again.

Broth is thick and seasoned nicely. One of the better places I've been to. I would come back for that alone. Noodles and toppings are generic and not custom to the restaurant. Generous Noodles and light on the toppings. The tea egg is missing something. I'm more used to getting these in China, and they are much stronger in flavor. Rice was better than I expected, but the tuna was not well made. Great stop for a quick bite.

Ordered the salt Ramen with salmon bowl side. The soup had good flavor but little salty, noodles were nice and chewy. The pork was on fattier side but probably adds more flavor. The salmon were flaked too small so couldn't tell if they were good but the little salmon roe add bursts of salt. This was the Torrance Del Amo location and had outdoor seating. Reliable place to go.

Pretty good ramen at Torrance Mitsuwa near Del Amo Fashion center building Carson St (formerly Western Ave old location) halfway to Seiwa Market. I haven’t eat at new Mitsuwa food court since at old Mitsuwa food court love the ramen flavors & Hiyashi Chuka as well. Sometimes good; sometimes terrible. The service is pretty good. Tonkotsu ramen is my favorite such high quality. I highly recommend visiting there again. The parking lot is big, plenty of space. Night time is great for customers visiting to Mitsuwa Marketplace. (Yeah no homeless. Just safe.)

Hit or miss ramen spot. Honestly, sometimes it's really good and other times it's just alright. The meat tends to vary quite often, way too much fat ratio in the ramen and bowls. Otherwise, service is fairly quick and parking is nice!

I have had delicious ramen from other Santouka locations. This was just average, though the spicy miso broth was salty and delicious. Noodles were chewy and the seasoned egg was hard boiled, not the creamy soft boiled yolk I was expecting.

Santouka used to be good because we didn’t have or know better. Now that there are so many better ramen joints around, you really don’t need to go to Santouka anymore. Mediocre broth Mediocre noodles Mediocre meat Mediocre rice Mediocre everything Just get some mochi donuts a few steps down and have a better time.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - large miso ramen. We’ve had this place previously at the old location by Carson and it was always great. Unfortunately, it missed the mark this time as the broth was much saltier, a bit grainy in texture, and bitter. The ramen was good with a bit of chewiness or bite. The pork slices given were inconsistent where one practically melted in your mouth and the other was tough. Ambience: N/A - location was in the Mitsuwa food court Service: 5/5 - quick and to the point. They take card at this new location! Value for price: 3/5 - a bit pricy for the quality we were given. Pretty disappointed as we had high expectations from previous experience

Prices went up but you can tell the broth isn’t made the same anymore. It’s not as rich, silky and flavorful as it used to be.it used to have an opaque creamy white color but now it’s more clear with light flavor. You can tell they don’t put in time and effort to cook it for a long time anymore. I found a new spot, sadly I won’t be returning. Sorry for picture without food🤣 I ate it but the color of the broth is what I’m referencing to. No silky rich porky bone broth anymore. More oily

#9 with side order of an egg was over $20. Good flavor but oily. I had to skimmed off the excess oil and some oil remains in the noodles. Probably won’t return bc the excess oil, especially after seeing the solidified oil from the left over. Service is one star bc there was no service. She took the order, tap on the card reader w a pen, hand over a pager. Not one word of thank you or please tap your credit card here. I asked for water and got three words answer “bottle water only “.

We ordered two large miso ramens today and both orders came with little to no meat. Whatever “meat” we got was completely inedible and all fat. The quality continues to deteriorate at this Santouka location.
