Trattoria Muro Treviglio Reviews
My wife and I decided to have dinner at this trattoria. Since it wasn't a weekend, there was no one dining, or rather, only four people in an average-sized restaurant. This initially made us think we couldn't expect much, but within 10 minutes, the restaurant was packed. The waiter greeted us with a welcome prosecco and two "fritturine" (fried fish) as a welcome aperitif. We then ordered two very good pizzas for dinner, and a tiramisu for dessert. We were also offered a complimentary digestif. Prices were average, service was very quick, and the waiter knew his stuff. Congratulations, we'll definitely be back.
Amazing service and kindness.
We came in by chance as I was passing by with my husband and we were very satisfied. As soon as we entered and sat down, they brought us prosecco and zeppole, welcoming us and leaving us the menu. We wanted to try everything, but unfortunately, our stomachs only have a limit. I had the grilled fish (€23) 🔝 and my husband had spaghetti with clams (€18), which were also spectacular; perhaps an extra minute would have made the dish even more delicious. For dessert, tiramisu (€7) was also divine! With a bottle of water and a Coke, we spent €57/58. I don't remember exactly, but I'd say that was fine, because paying a little more but eating very well is satisfying! We also looked at the dishes at the neighboring tables... I've already eyed the dish for next time. Good and professional service.
Super
Lovely place! The pizza oven wasn't working but the food the restaurant served was amazing. Portions are generous. Everything is fresh. Great service. Highly recommend.
This place is a must go and definitely will come back
Delicious food and thoughtful service.
I went there with my family a few weeks ago. The place is beautiful and bright with large windows. However, this very positive aspect turned out to be counterproductive, as it was really hot and there was no air conditioning at our table. The outdoor seating area was also nice, but we avoided it due to the heat and the mosquitoes. The pizzas were really good, as was the appetizer, and the bill was fair.
Elegant and bright, the restaurant features an outdoor courtyard where you can dine. Everything is very well-kept and clean. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the friendly and knowledgeable staff immediately puts you at ease. The food is delicious, carefully prepared, and as you'd expect from a restaurant that prides itself on Neapolitan cuisine. The pizza is light and flavorful, and the ingredients are fresh. The seafood and the cuisine live up to their promises; flavorful Neapolitan cuisine is well-priced. The ideal place for both dinners for two and small parties. The Totò hat, pizza, and desserts are highly recommended, but the rest is also worth trying. Reservations are recommended.
Really cute place and super friendly staff. They welcomed us with a small aperitif: white wine for the adults and soft drinks for the kids, along with fried zeppole. Generous portions and delicious. The scialatielli with three tomatoes were amazing! Next time I want to try the pizza too!
Amazing food. Very affordable. Pretty bad service but that's Italy.
A seafood salad, two grilled farmed sea bass, a bottle of water, and two coffees of neither good nor bad quality, bill €96... definitely understandable when the aromas of the catch take you to the sea, but too much for a farmed sea bass from Greece, four peeled prawns, and a piece of Atlantic cuttlefish, zero flavors, zero aromas, two equally tasteless grilled vegetables. Limoncello unclassifiable.
I'll start by saying that I've been to this restaurant several times and have always had good food, even though it's not exactly cheap. I think you're willing to pay a little more than average to eat well. Last night, I returned with five of my guests, who I'd already told me about the quality of the food. We ordered two peppered mussels to try while we waited for the first courses. The result: tasteless mussels, equally sloppy, and definitely not fresh, not to mention old (unanimous opinion). We moved on to the famous Totò's hat (two for four people): the same, bland, tasteless, with pizza dough that looked like bubblegum (unanimous opinion). I called the waiter and made him very clear about our disappointment. The waiter called the owner (I think) to the table, who swore that the mussels were extremely fresh and that the kitchen staff, or rather, the chef, was always the same. I think this is impossible, since, compared to other times, everything was absolutely "not good." I went to pay and they didn't even have the "savoir faire" to offer a liqueur, a coffee (at the very least they should have done so, if not even offered a discount!!) In short, 6 people, two peppered mussels, two Totò caps, a baked sea bream (I think it was sea bream), a bottle of wine, 4 desserts for a total of €270.00. If everything had been as usual, however "salty" the bill, we would all have been satisfied, but faced with absolutely anonymous food, poorly cooked and stuffed with not-so-fresh fish, forgive me but you made a terrible impression. I think I'm done with Marechiaro... prices are absolutely outrageous now compared to food that is, to say the least, not good. Among other things, the place was practically empty despite it being a holiday, unlike what happened months ago: could it be a coincidence!? Who knows?
Table of four, two pizzas arrived after 45 minutes, the other two after another 15 minutes. The dough was raw, lacking mozzarella, and the spicy salami was concentrated in just a few spots. Extremely slow and disorganized service. All in all, 70 euros for four pizzas and four bottles of still water. I definitely won't be returning.
