Manory's Troy Reviews
Best breakfast around. Best coffee around. Fast friendly service with a smile. Huge menu. Everything was so fresh and tasted homemade and cooked with love.
Had a great lunch with a friend. Food was delicious, server was friendly and helpful.
Went a few weeks ago for breakfast. It was a very cold Sunday morning. Place is always packed and for good reason. Wear warm clothes because with people waiting to be seated the door is open often and the cold just rushes in. Ordered an Irish coffee and received an Irish latte. I guess an easy confusion. Either way I was not disappointed. It was very good. I ordered the chicken and waffle Benedict. My chicken was hard as a rock but I ate it anyway. Others got 1 of the waffle specials and other got a different Benedict. Both raved over their picks. Now back to my choice. As I said I ate it anyway. When it came time to pay the waitress ask how everything was. I told her about my chicken and said I ate it anyway and don’t worry about it. She took it off the bill even though I ate it. Don’t know too many restaurants that will do that. Inside has shown its age, it’s 100 yrs old but that is its charm. I’m sure the chicken was a fluke and I look forward to going back.
Came here while visiting the campus and reviews are consistently correct! Our service was top notch and food was awesome. We would have appreciated the music volume slightly lower but at least they played good music!
First time for breakfast, my son said it was amazing and he was right. Food excellent. I did get an order of sausage and biscuits to go as well. I'm sure I will not be disappointed. Most definitely will go back. The iced latte yummy. We had a party of 4 with a baby and we enjoyed every minute.
Food was great! Excellent breakfast. Cannot recommend the cinnamon rolls enough. If you come here I strongly recommend to get the specials. The regular breakfast feels on par with other local places but at a higher price. The specials and local sourcing really make this place stand out. We got 2 breakfasts, coffee and a cinnamon roll and the total bill with tip came out to $50. Our service could have been more attentive at the bar but we were not in a rush. They had Christmas movies playing and it made the place very cozy. Definitely recommend!
Founded in 1913, this dinner puts out typical diner fare with efficiency and great service. We liked it so much, we went back. The eggs benedict were well received but the favorite was absolutely the pancakes... Both times. Both times the pancakes came out exactly the same way, crispy on the edges and perfectly cooked. Both visits were with different waiters and they were both great. No, it ain't fancy, but that's not why your there
Super friendly service! I came here for the first time because my dad is visiting me in the area. The portions of the dishes were HUGE, it has a great lively American diner vibe. The banana chocolate pancakes were delightful, you could taste the aromatic bananas and the pancake itself was not overly sweet so you could use the syrup to your own taste. They had an open kitchen which was great but the fan needs a little attention because the dining area was slightly smokey when we were there. Otherwise great experience and food!
Step into a charming time capsule at this classic diner, a beloved gem nestled in the heart of downtown Troy, NY, with a history spanning over a century! As soon as you walk through the door, the enticing aroma of frying oil wraps around you, inviting you to indulge in some seriously delicious eats. This all-day spot offers a mouthwatering array of breakfast and lunch options, along with delightful baked goods that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Don’t forget to swing by the charming ice cream window on the street side—it's a must for both locals and tourists alike! Come for the nostalgic atmosphere, stay for the fantastic food, and experience a piece of culinary history that you’ll want to return to again and again.
Eat local at the oldest restaurant in Troy! Warm welcome of delicious smells on a snowy day. Our food arrived hot and prompt and with a smile. Trade-off booth comfort (they are old!) for the charm of this place, frequented by locals. We saw cops, politicians and blue collar workers - all here for the comfort food. My peppermint bark decaf latte was delish! (Even if they didn't have decaf espresso - no matter, they made it with regular decaf and it was perfection). Bacon was a crispy delight. Had a fun and relaxing time here.
Had a great breakfast here. Everything we ordered was good (lumberjack pancakes, classic french toast, pumpkin bread french toast). There were a lot of good choices on the menu, so we'll have to go again. We were seated quickly, but it got busy later so I'd come early on the weekend. Staff was also friendly. My only issue is there were a ton of latte choices but only lipton for tea.
The home fries were legendary here. I recommend them wholeheartedly. This is definitely a special pancake place. Many pancake places offer very bland pancakes, don’t worry about that here. Their pancakes were good. I got biscuit and gravy- the portion were generous! I will be coming back here. You will be served well here.
for the price and taste of their crispy chicken sandwich you’re better off going to mcdonald’s. the chicken was super hot yet had a rubbery and gooey consistency inside as if it were frozen and got left out on the counter too long to thaw. both the fries and sandwich were flavorless. more of a tourist spot that a decent restaurant, couldn’t imagine anyone choosing this as a go to restaurant besides it’s only aspect of having mimosas if that’s your thing. save your money go somewhere else
