Church's Chicken Tyler Reviews
Food was not fresh the chicken had to have been there for a while so it was not fresh
Went in with my family just before 7pm. Customer service was excellent! Food and cleanliness was equally great too!
The lunch crew on Tues JULY 7th had it going on! Very friendly and fast service with a smile! We normally don't get chicken fried steak at a fast food place, inside of a gas station... but there was a special for 4.99 a meal. We had 3 people with 3 orders. One with a side of mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and two with okra. Steaks were made fresh and served hot. Option of white or brown gravy. The white gravy was actually really good and had a thyme flavor. The entire order was correct, hot and fresh. Biscuits were hot and fresh. Great job, and we will be back for chicken next time.
I stopped in to order the spicy classic chicken sandwich. They made it fresh and the bun was soft and the chicken hot. I was pleased. Only $2.99
In spite of being a gas station Church’s the food and service show that the manager and employees care about their customers. The chicken was fresh and crispy. The biscuits were soft and sweet. I have had great service and great food every time I have visited.
We were in Tyler for a doctor’s appointment and stopped to get a snack between two adults and two children. We were discussing getting 4 chicken strips, and the meals came with 3 or 5 strips. The manager was there working and he asked the employee to give us a 5 piece meal - then he said, “Give them two 5 piece meals!” We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals and were amazed and so surprised at the kindness and generosity of the manager. He was a blessing to us. We look forward to eating there again when we go to Tyler. Thank you Mr. Manager! You are greatly appreciated!
The food is hot and fresh, spicy chicken cooked fresh everyday,
Was great, hard to believe they're located in a service station. But, definitely doesn't stop the drive thru line from going around the building! Unfortunately their prices continue to go up & portion sizes continue to go down. We still love their Biscuits though! Great customer service.
Chicken was good, macaroni and cheese so so, okay was delicious. Staff was on their own time.
So so slow.... The truck in front of me drove off.....now I see why.....the guy finally came and told me just a few more minutes.....fries are old....chicken was good a hot.....and not so great, had a funny flavor. Was not worth the wait.....next time I'll pass this churches on by....
Chicken was terrible! While the chicken itself was completely cooked, the breading tasted strongly of undercooked flour. Fries were undercooked and limp. Sweet tea was sickeningly over-sweetened. I was curious about Church's "Texas chicken", but don't think I'll try it again.
They tried to charge me 31.09 for 8 pieces of chicken. No good.
Always has attitudes no smiles nothing don’t even speak back just says uhmm.. barely gravy on my potatoes… sure doesn’t look clean … just poor customer service… I wanted ranch instead of bbq sauce gets mad slams it back in the box throws the ranch on the table then they have no tenders at 7 o’clock how when yall close at 10pm … stop giving them your money
Absolutely worst, drive thru was horrible, intercom attendant never listened to my order, only got some of my food, waited over 30 minutes and just left, no reason to expect it , never again
Rude and uncaring attitude at the drive-through window service. And to add to their incompetence that I was exposed to, I was given the wrong meal. However, I did not return to point this fact out because it would have been a waste of my time, so I continued on my trip
Arrived at 8:40 to see a sign say they close at 9:30 and was working and everything was locked and closed down. I went into the gas station area and saw a lady leaving the bathroom and unlock the gate and asked her if it was closed to have her just ignore me. If y’all close at 8:40 then change your time on your door. Wouldn’t go again since I was rudely ignored.
The fried chicken tasted like what a refrigerator smells like. My son and I ate it anyway and were both sick within 2 hours. Never again.
We waited in line for about 30 minutes for our food, service was extremely slow. Only to get to the window and the worker asked us what was our order. What do you mean what was our order? Then left to start making it, so it wasn’t ready. We just had to drive off after that. Won’t be back.
I live about 2 miles from this church's chicken but I will have to start going to the one on Gentry pkwy WAY BETTER SERVICE than this sorry place on old Kilgore hwy. Always have some stupid story about anything you ask them . Like today FOUR sauces packets for a 10 pc and 3 large sides . That's only today's bad experience. Other times have been worse. Don't waste your money and time with this place.
