Ukiah Brewing Company Ukiah Reviews
Great spot. No pressure. Tried both the porter and pilsner and it's hard for me to say which one was my favorite. Tried the cod sandwich, and there was no disappointment. Friendly staff.
My wife had a bison burger and loved it. It was served exactly how she asked, very rare and my margarita pizza was awesome. Wasn’t busy but steady. Not an advocate but they are flying gay pride flag. My wife didn’t like the Pilsner beer but thoroughly enjoyed the porter which honestly should be on nitro. I loved the west coast IPA but no surprise there. For dessert we split a pumpkin date ice cream and we loved it! The service here was amazing and we couldn’t speak better of our server Brice.
Ukiah Brewing Company is such a great spot downtown! I love the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and wide selection of beers on tap. Their food menu has something for everyone—whether I’m grabbing a casual lunch, enjoying a night out with friends, or bringing the family along. It’s the perfect mix of good food, great drinks, and local charm that makes Ukiah feel like home. My favorites are: Ahi tartar, ceaser with prawns of course, a margarita pizza and add pepperoni, and of course their delicious deep fried green beans and fried pickles are a must!! My favorites drinks are a Paloma, and of course a coke in a bottle! It also helps that my office is directly across the street, it’s truly a gem! – Kasie Gray, Ukiah Realtor® & Community Guide
Food was delicious. Wife and I both got the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avacados, and tomato) sandwiches with fries. Bartender served up great drinks and gave us some suggestions on things to check out in the area. Would definitely highly recommend this place for food and drinks if you're ever in the area.
I love this place. The food is fantastic with a broad menu of terrific items. Everything I have had has been very good. The beer is epic! I love it. A creative selection of unique beer. Brewed on site too.
All I had was a Pint of the Palace Porter. No food for me. I sat at the bar and chatted it up with the locals. Real friendly people and the staff was great. A great micro brew atmosphere. The bar was full when I arrived on a Wednesday at 7:30 with only 2 seats empty. I have no problem coming back to this place. See my YouTube channel Coolest Life.
What a fun, funky spot. Fabulous wait staff! Loved the stage area and wished we were here during a live show. The decor and lighting make this a great spot for a date or fun outing with friends. Really enjoyed trying a flight of on-tap selections. Nice that there are 4 and 8 flight options for UBC and other producers. Don't sleep on the in-house desserts!
I got the fish and chips, buffalo wings and Palace Porter. The food, service, and facility were all great. Wings not too spicy, and were really good, didn't bother my stomach. I'll definitely start dining here again, when they stopped table service years ago I hadn't been back but they definitely do it now.
This was my second visit here and they have only gotten better since my last visit. The food is excellent and so is the beer. They've also remodeled the inside and added patio and sidewalk seating. I was amazed by the kids menu. They have the standards but also offer a serving of avocado, a fresh plate of raw veggies, and several other options I wouldn't expect.
Restaurant is located on a corner on state street in the older downtown area. Interior is comfortable but not warm or romantic but comfortable. Wait staff was very tentative. Prices are a little high i.e. hamburger $15.00 to $20.00. I ordered the fish and chips $15.00 fish portions medium size but very good. Crab cake starter 2 cakes was excellent but pricey 19.00. hamburger 15.00 pint lager 5.00. bill total was $57.00. however they do time from time have live music. Tonight was live jazz music. Front entry requires step up not ADA compliant no handicap parking. No parking lot you must park in street and walk to restaurant.
I’ve been going to UBC for over 10 yrs, A wonderful Gentleman named Kevin Brogan remodeled this Restaurant around 2010 or 11, Thank GOD because it was a dump by then. i have been recommending the fish n chips and the Burger for 15 yrs, the house brew are excellent, the staff not always friendly but some are Amazing. This restaurant has changed hands around 5 times now, There was and hopefully still a Wonderful Mexican Gentleman that has cooked there for many years, hopefully he is still there. i used to frequent this restaurant aleast 2 times a month, i haven’t been there in over a year because i always take my little Dog with me, and he stays in his little bag and doesn’t get out of it. One day i went in during the winter and rainy weather and they had changed their policy and so because there was no outside seating available i couldn’t sit inside with my little dog after 10yrs because the waitress told me some other person had let their dog run around the restaurant No one was allowed to bring their dog in anymore. I understand i guess but had to go elsewhere and haven’t been back since. I would like to go back soon and see the new offerings and have the BEST Beer in Town.
This is a cozy brewery restaurant with good beer selection and food. It also has a well stocked bar, especially stocked with many additive free Tequilas like Fortaleza, which are hard to find in many bars. Tried the Tuna Poke and the Taco. Food was good, not the traditional recipes, though. The West Coast IPA I tried was balanced and well hoped. I recommend this place for the town visitors who like local brews and seafood.
It is awesome they allow dogs. The place is cute and the fresh roses are a nice touch. The burger is excellent. The fish and chips not so much. The batter was a bit raw/under cooked on the inside. The fries were nice and crisp. The server was nice enough, not helpful with the menu for suggestions. It is downtown so great to walk around and check out the shops
Witnessed the bartender make at least six "signature" cocktails that called for St. George Gin pour Seagram's Gin instead. Using cheap bottom-shelf gin instead of the premium gin (as listed on the menu description) at premium cocktail prices should never happen at a quality establishment. Do better.
Used to be one of our favorite spots to go. But lately the portions have been getting smaller (notably with the fried pickle appetizer), and prices seem to be going up (notably with the beers on tap). UBC takes a while to update their menu, and this time was rather disappointing. Tried the “Shrimp Cocktail”. Which is not an actual shrimp cocktail. Instead, received 6 seared shrimp costing $16. Like really? Should have sent it back, but that’s not really our style. We just won’t be super excited to go back anytime soon. Try out some other local spots
I have wanted to try this place for quite a while now. When I arrived there was no front host so my party had to wait for some time. The extended wait period did give me time to take in the atmosphere of the restaurant. Although it had nice decor the lighting was so dim it was difficult to really take it in. When seated we were nestled in the far back corner of the room against the performance platform and speakers. It was even darker back there. Although we were brought to our table we were given warm water in ice less glasses that I suspect was from tap. The staff stated that they would be right with us to take our order. They did not return. It was after quite some time waiting we decided to use the digital order option. I do prefer to have interaction with staff but thought it would get things moving. Placing the order using the app was easy. After that it was another long wait for our order. This gave me time to notice that we couldn’t see any decor from our table. At this point my expectations of the fare were weary. Much to my delighted surprise the beverages and appetizers arrived. I tried the stout beer and found it very enjoyable. As well as two types of Mimosa wich were ok but Prosecco tasted a little flat. The small dishes we’re also very good. We had the fried pickles. They had a great crunch. Also we had the cheese bread. So good it was hard to share. We also enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. I had a few things I really wanted for try but settled on the bison burger. I was not disappointed. It was made exactly as I ordered on the app. I also had the sweet potato fries. The little baskets were fun and made the plate inviting. I really liked how the waffle cut maintained a super crunch. I also ate the prawn pasta. It was just right and paired nice with the crostini. Next dessert. I ordered three of the items that welcomed from the case as I first entered. This preceded a long wait and an uncomfortable interaction with another staff. They were dismissive and generally rude. I was finally able to collect my desserts. They were delicious! I truly enjoyed everything I ate. Which is why it was even more disappointing that the staff was inattentive and generally inhospitable. So if you go there you may enjoy the food but make sure you have time to wait. And the fortitude for the demeanor of the staff.
