My wife and I wanted something sweet so stopped here. Their ice cream treats are huge and too sweet for us. But that isn't a knock on the service or anything. Just a personal preference thing. Service was quick and professional

It’s Sonic and the burgers are great when the sales are on. A big fan of the onion rings. Love when the slushies are 1/2 off too. As long as there are these kind of deals, we’re sold!

I was absolutely delighted to see employee "Kai" on roller skates when bringing my order. That is something that has been missing from my "Sonics" experience as of late. I would like to see more servers on roller skates because it makes it a pleasant and entertaining experience.

Had a good burger, but I said I didn't want cheese on my burger, but it was there when I got it, and it wasnt even melted which maybe I shouldn't complain about because I could take it off, but if I had wanted cheese, I wouldn't have been happy it wasn't melted. Amazing pricing, and staff who helped me really wanted to make me happy. Offered me a nice glass of water when I didn't want anything to drink. Now that is service.

We always stop for their slushies when traveling up or down Hwy 50. It’s easy to get here from the freeway. Normally the back part of the parking lot has homeless - but you have no need to go back there anyways. The bathrooms are hit or miss. Sometimes they are really clean and other times they have been worse than gas station bathrooms.

Good cold drinks, Very delicious and tasty. I was there just to order drinks . The order came out fairly quick and service was great. I will be coming back sometime soon to order food and more items in order to see the difference between the 2 kind of orders. As far as ordering just drinks, the service was great and the drinks were delicious. So, I will recommend you to get some refreshing and more nutritional drinks here than other places. Do not forget that they have the milkshake special all evenings!!! Milkshakes are awesome !!

food was good, but only luke warm. it came to our stall about 10-15mins after it said it was on its way. staff was friendly. I'll return but giving 4 stars for the wait time. and it was post lunchtime so I wouldn't have thought that long of a wait. I like the screen order thing but it should be on both sides so my passenger doesn't have to lean over on my side in order to read the menu lol but my food was hot and ready so that I can get back on the freeway conveniently..... delicious hands down we definitely need a closer location

The manager Carrie at this location is a rockstar compassionate and understanding warm and welcoming ordered in the app the Smashburger burgers forgot to take the pickles off in the customized part of the app didn't notice till I bit one of the pickles by then the pickle flavor was on the patties asked if I could speak with a manager explain what happened with the pickles and she told me don't worry about it she would make me fresh ones and send them out to the stall I was in she walked them out personally and put extra mints in my bag to get that pickle taste out my mouth I wish you manage more fast food places not just Sonic's fast food places in general they need more people running their business like her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a great experience my first time going I got a pretzel twist, a smash burger, a pickle fries, and a dr Pepper, these items were made aware to me that they are made fresh to order and indeed they were and I would say the smash burger was better than any smash burger I have had. And the customer service is a younger crowd so I can’t complain they were nice and approachable and things happen we are only human so the things that went wrong I’m not going to make note of it because there is only so fast a worker can be and the wait time is an exception I would gladly wait for my food as long as my food it up to the standards the store has for it self and what they want for there customers.

I love sonic because they have a little of everything and its fairly cheap. you usually get a decent amount of food for the money you spend here. I love that there is so many different ways you can order. ex. walk up menu, drive thru window. or car stall. I love the endless possibilities to the drinks you can make here. this is just an all around good stop to eat. so eat here or don't. I don't really care lol.

Love the food and drinks but it seems like no matter how slow of a day it is the details of our orders get messed up. They almost never give us our sauces and usually forget things like adding jalapeños

The carhop service aspect of Sonic has always appealed to us; we stay in the comfort of our car while we wait for our food. Now with the COVID-19 restrictions, carhop service makes Sonic well suited for fast food. In our last visit the service was very fast and helpful. The food is typically 2.5 or 3 stars. Stay with the fried items, like popcorn chicken, onion rings, tatertots - consistently tasty and less risk on texture. The burgers have been on the sloppy side - patty is overcooked, bun is soggy. The drinks and shakes are good - helping this get to 4 stars. Lots of sugar and lots of calories. Drinks and carhop are 4 stars; food is 3 or 3.5 - so I get 4 stars

Only used the drive through line, didn't stay for car hop service. We were breaking up the trip on a 100° day from Sacramento to the Bay Area by getting fresh fruit shakes. As usual, the shakes were great, just wish they still provided the bigger straws because the fruits (one strawberry and one fresh banana) weren't going through the straws well, LOL.

I love their slushes. I order through app.and get Happy Hour Price (1/2 price) all the time. Most times it's great but twice I had to call inside because after 10 - 20 mins. it was still LOADING after I entered stall # as per app. request. The Patty Melt has been my favorite but only available limited times.

When paying for our food the cashier appeared to be texting someone instead of giving us our change. I never thought the food here was that great. I ordered the chili cheese tots, they were okay. I also got a shake, that was pretty good but hard to eat while driving.

Service was fine but they were out of the items needed for the new Transformers slushies. Seeing as this the premier week for the movie and afternoon it is a bit of an oversight. They also did not apologize in respect to not having it. Otherwise the service was prompt and agreeable.

This is one of those places that sounds soooo good because you rarely eat it, but then you do and it instantly turns to a mistakes were made situation. The cookie dough Sonic blast was absolutely delicious and a welcome treat on the super hot day I ordered it. That said, the milkshake machine was broken and the order service seemed to take way longer than usual (and I was the only person in the drive through at the time), though that could've been cause I came at shift change time or something. Service was horrible. Several customers had to go and find an employee for our food. They made an excuse they all went away for lunch because it was super slow during the lunch hour then big rush of multiple orders came at 1 pm. The food was very good. I got a cherry slush with nerds (never disappoints) and a hot dog. It didn't come with any ketchup or mustard or anything like the picture, so that was a little disappointing. It tasted average. There's always questionable cars and people parked to the back of the lot so it's a bit uncomfortable staring right at them as you wait for your food at the stalls and eating in your car. Molly brought us our food who was very quick and also super nice.

The food is great. It's carnival fare. My son loves it. I feel like you get what you pay for. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not my initial idea when thinking burgers and fries. It hits the spot. The drinks are over the top. Shakes & slushies make it a summer destination.

The chili cheese tater tots and strawberry limeade are my favorite here. There's even free refills. It's a win win.

This Sonic looked alright. There didn't seem to be much staff on hand, the same girl served multiple cars from what I saw. She was well mannered and nice. Also, one of the ordering boards inside wasn't working while I was there. The wait for my food wasn't long, and the food turned out pretty good. Had a Pretzel Bacon dog and the French toast sticks. Tasted pretty darn good. This location needs some attention but otherwise not bad, would go here again.

This sonic is my pit stop going to Sacramento from the bay or vice versa. I've always had a good meal here on my road trips and if im tired enough from work ill stop and take a nap in the way way back before I continue my drives home.

This is the second time I've been to Sonic but the staff kindly put up with my odd request for a corn dog in a milkshake (they gave me the corn dogs separately so that I could dip them as I liked). Fast food is fast food but what stands out at the Sonic in Vacaville is their service. Quick and efficient every time I stop through (and it’s often)! I can’t recommend enough - GET THE APP!!!! Who can resist getting drinks at 1/2 off all-day thru the app? And I usually get some tater tots to snack or if I need a little more I go for their sandwiches with the toast. Thanks to the people working at this location for making it the reason I return! This Sonic is pretty well kept from what the public sees, the stalls are normally free of garbage and the inside ordering area is also normally clean. Thanks to the crew here for keeping it together at this roadside stop!

It was ok. They forgot our dipping sauce so be sure to remember yours. My brownie cookie dough milkshake only had chunks on top and there was some blue stuff in the bottom, could have been a candy from one of the other slushes they make but was unappetizing mixed with chocolate as it looked a weird mold color after I stirred it. Prices seem more expensive than when they first opened but maybe just my perception. Pull-up stalls always closed, they always rotate new staff so the staff always seem rushed and stressed out

I used to love this place because of the shakes... But the last few times its been literally garbage worthy only. Ya we go through late but if you can't get the fries warm TELL me. 1/26: apparently they are one od the few places in town who cant split a bill partially cash, part on a card. Employees seem to know less each time I come, while the lines just get longer. Taking out 2/3 of the inferring stalls waa stupid. Each time I come I remember why I haven't been recently. Lines can be long and if there's more then maybe 2 cars there's a good chance the wait time will be super long. Otherwise it's fast food people, bright side slushies, the best kind of ice, and good breakfast all day.

My son wanted to stop here because he always sees thier commercials on TV needless to say it will be a one and done experience. He really wanted a chili dog and was highly disappointed when what he got was a school lunch quality chili dog. The burger I ordered was ok and i thought the ocean water drink would be light and refreshing but it was so sweet it tasted as if you melted cotton candy down with coconut and served it over ice, his limeade was just as sweet.

Food was okay. They were out of popcorn chicken and chicken tenders which is what I generally get. My hope dog was okay. Tater tots are always good. But for some reason the food doesn't taste as good as it once did.

Our last visit, the menu display in the parking bay was down. Tried using the app which was useless because with the menu display down, we couldn't specify our spot. The manager on duty was able to make things work so snaps for him. The onion rings must be from a new supplier. They were disappointing. Corporate must be cutting corners and it shows.

Food was good, missed a couple small things like sauces, forgot to put bacon on one of our burgers (it was a pick up order via the app), and I can understand running out of things, but being Sonic and a place known for their HUGE drink variety, how do you run out of cup carriers, like I had 5 drinks and had to create a way to hold all five of the drinks without them spilling all over the car... Luckily we ordered enough food that I could pack it around the cups. If you're reading this around the time the red bull slushies are around, they're freaking good, go get one. For the food, their burgers are always a win, mozzarella sticks were good, fries/tots good, jalapeno poppers though overcooked wouldn't drive me to not trying them again unless the third time I get them it's the same but I'm hoping that won't be the case.

The ice cream and such is good but I've always had bad experiences with the rest of the food. Several times my burger would be cooked too long or held too long so it's totally dry and wasn't fun to eat. The other items I've tried also ended up being "meh" so if I do come here it would only be for the shakes.

I was kind of excited to come here because I've never been to a Sonic before and everyone I know loves them. I was sadly not that satisfied. It was kind of fun parking and ordering from the car to then have our food brought to us. The good however was not very good. The onion ring batter tasted like they put sugar in it and the chicken sandwich that I order was pretty much just bread, a hunk of chicken, and a disgustingly large amount of mayonnaise. I might return to try their drinks, but I will definitely not eat here again.

Sonic was at a convenient location. Staff taking order was not professional. You can hear that he had the microphone on, but did not acknowledge he would be with us shortly. We said " hello? Easy on easy off of the Freeway to get here. The drive through line is usually long, recommend you go to one of the boxes. Some of them do not work so cross your fingers you drive to a working one. Our blasts weren't really blended as much as I thought they would be. Our jalapeño poppers were a tad oldish. Fastish service for how busy they were.

I wish they'd learn to make a sundae. Sometimes I order a strawberry sundae and add hot fudge, or I get hot fudge. There's rarely enough hot fudge. Recently, the fudge ran out long before the ice cream. And I am not taking a huge amount of fudge with each bite. It's also all on the bottom so I have to dig for it. If I order hot fudge with strawberries added, I usually get a few little pieces of strawberry. It's too expensive for what you get.

Went to sonic drive thru waited several minutes to be acknowledged in the drive thru until we gave up and went to a stall. Got our food and they forgot the groovy sauce and no ketchup. Push red button it'll be right out....no no it was not. We actually had to call a second time aprox 5min later to get groovy sauce So now we have cold fries. the pickle fries were cold and soggy well past the allotted "sit time" We are from Tennessee and hoped California sonic standards were equivalent. Hoping it was just a bad morning

I believe it could be better, I ordered my cherry limeade without lemon wedge and it still brought it... the produce in the burger taste a bit old... the fries were delicious. I believe it has potential. Will try again

My son and I came to Sonic after his doctor's appointment for lunch. We chose here today specifically abuse the parking lot is also a "park and ride" with 5 EV level 2 chargers, so I was able to charge my EV while eating here. Ordering is simple. If you park your car in the drive/in spot, you can place your order through the menu kiosk which is available at each spot. If you rather order at the building and eat at one of the few table inside or outside, there is an order kiosk inside and one outside. The food is delivered to you by an employee. They used to roller skate out to your car to deliver your food, but I noticed the 2 people delivering food that day did not roller skate. I got the Double Sonic Smash Burger and it was very good with nice seasoning. My son got the Supersonic Double Cheeseburger and Strawberry Shake (my son really love their shakes). Overall rating: -Food: 4/5 -Ordering: 3/5 easy ordering through the kiosk, but the one inside the building was missing the menu, so unless you know what you want to order, there is no reference. -Service/Food Delivery: 2/5 because they lost the nostalgia of the roller skater delivering your food.

Stopped in for a quick bite as I passed through. I had a burger, fries, onion rings, and a shake. It was mid-afternoon on a Sunday. They did not seem too busy, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone asked for my order. The access to the lot is kind of weird, but not incredibly difficult to figure out. The food was OK, but they seem to put a lot of sugar into the onion ring batter… it tasted sweet. Not my favorite. The facilities seemed to be unkept OK, but did not feel “clean”… kind of like things were wiped off, but still had a residue. I think this location is fine, and the food is the same as any sonic I’ve been to.

Taste is a 3.6 for me out of 5. The ordering process was pretty easy online. Then, when we had to go in to pick it up (because most of the ordering stalls were closed), we were told that they weren't taking orders and that we would have to go through the drive thru. Then we had to wait in line for half an hour in the drive thru for some pretty mediocre fast food. I'll save time next time and just go to Der Weinersnitchel.

Was nice and clean but got order wrong they did attempt to fix it but in the process of doing so they cause the other food we ordered to go cold because the girl took the whole order back not just the wrong item when we told her she had to walk back in and get the bag at that point it had changed hands more times then a dollar bill. Usually food is good and service is fast. Today was not good at all. I was the first car there ordered a shake and the spots filled quickly. I watched three cars get their order that arrived after me. I left without my milkshake.

I was not happy with the quality of food. I bought a large chocolate shake and it tasted sour like the milk was bad or something but because I was driving through i couldn't take it back and called it a lost. Hopefully they improve and don't sell crap stuff to customers

Beware of the non-discounted discount meals!!! I went there with a friend at 12:32PM today to take advantage of the two cheese burgers for $7.00 deal. I ordered two with everything, two without tomatoes, and a large coke. She told me my total was $28.03 at the window. I said that was too high! I had ordered two of the special discount meals at $7.00 each. I didn't hear a reply for about a minute so I drove up to the window and was told my total was now $23.65. I told her my total shouldn't be more than $19.00 with the drink. The girl behind the window said she didn't know anything about and just did what the register tells her. So I just paid her what she requested, instead of $18.89 I should have had to pay. Even though I had brought it to her attention, she didn't care and I was still overcharged. I felt a little cheated. My ticket# is 363614, drive-in #5207. You can see on the ticket that I wasn't getting the discount as advertised.

This place is purely dessert driven and they are great but their food on the other hand was nasty. So if your hungry Do NOT eat here. The food is horrible. I ordered a chicken club that had no chicken and purely tasted like fried batter. I Opened my sandwich and it looked like they slapped two pieces of texas toast and put a thin slice of lettuce on it amd closed it up. I couldn't even see the chx. That should have been the fist sign. I then bit into it and tasted like pure grease. Wrapped it up and threw it away. So disappointing. In the bright side, the banana shake was amazing. Desserts great, Food not so much.

First, no one took our order from the stall after we pressed the red button to order. We had to go through the drive through. Second, the employees didn't even know about their own secret menu. Tried ordering a purple Sprite, and we had to tell them what ingredients were in it, and even then, they didn't know how to mix the ingredients together. Will not be going back to this location.

Our dinner was gross and disgusting. We had a double cheeseburger meal, and chicken sandwich meal. Our fries were old and cold as if they were reheated. \nNo stars! Service ok .

I'm sorry. I never rate this low, but the burger was served cold and the tater tots were too salty to eat. Were we not pressed for time on our trip, I would have returned the drive thru order.

This experience was horrible. We asked for fresh onion rings and fries and they were all cold and expired, even our kids meal. The drive thru window was slammed on us after we requested fresh onion rings and fries. To have spent almost 50 bucks I feel this was totally unexceptionable.

I come here all the time but this time was a disaster. I parked in a stall and tried to order, but the order taker said the stalls were full and to use the drive thru. Of course it's going to be full I was parked there. The drive thru line was out the parking lot. I ended up using the app but could not enter my stall. But there were employees delivering food to other cars. I went in to the lobby and I see another employee on break eating I asked for assistance and she was really nice and helped me out. My food came out but my drinks did not make it. I checked my food and the burgers were put together very sloppy 1 even had 3 pieces of cheese just thrown in there. I asked for my drinks and the young girl took my receipt and still didn't give me what i ordered. I asked for a medium sprite and I got a mini. My tater tots were cold some were cooked and some was not and my chicken strips were burnt. I was so disappointed. I could see through the window and all the kids working there were in phones laughing eating and drinking but the paying customers were waiting more than 20 mins.

Food was okay. But Omg the server was so rude. We asked for sauces and she made it seem like her life was interrupted. Then she brought the wrong sauces so we asked again (nicely) and she brought them so rudely. She laughed at my husband over the speaker when we asked for the right sauces. Irene please take a class on customer service and people with different abilities. Shame on you.

Super dirty and there is mold on the walls. Food tasted like it had been sitting out and now have food poisoning from this place definitely am not happy one bit. Will not be returning here ever. For reference of mold within restaurant please see attached photo

I wouldn't have given them such a bad review if I hadn't been screwed over twice by this place. They bring your milkshake to you melted, plus with a mixture of what the other person in your car ordered. And they've done this twice. And expected a tip afterward. -_-

We ordered 3 meals with 3 drinks and 2 ice creams. Only one meal was correct out of everything. Even some of the tater tots seemed frozen still. Furthermore the girl who took my husband's order got really snippy with him after she realized that he was ordering more than one thing. Horrible place and we won't go back.

Don’t know what that last review was but the service is actually crap. They’re known for rolling out in skates to give you your food but when they’re understaffed all you get is attitude, and your food held hostage after paying online. My elderly partner was talked over and dismissed when getting my order by a snarky lady at the drive in. Good service or even just transactional service is hard to get these days. Like we paid what do you mean your not accepting orders or giving us out food? Literally nothing left out the story, they initially refused to give us my order until we walked in and had zero patience required to communicate respectfully to new customers. So unprofessional to tell us you’re understaffed after we placed an order scheduled for pickup and there were less than 5 cars (including ours) in the drive through. The food was ok

I went here and ordered a cheeseburger with cheese and mustard. Only it had lettuce tomatoes onions mayonnaise on it. I ordered a large cherry limeade. I got a small I ordered a Powerade lemonade slushy I got Powerade with a little bit of ice in it. Terrible service don’t go there

Local community food delivery person, online order, I called to pick up the food when I arrived, she responded quickly. I waited at the parking window for more than 20 minutes and didn't get my meal. I called again and she said they couldn't find the order and asked me to cancel the order or keep waiting! If the staff could pay attention to the online order during the first call, I wouldn't have wasted 20 minutes here. Irresponsible operator and arrogant attitude! Please note that there is more than one similar encounter here! Many times! ! !

Whoever is working tonight Wednesday closing shift needs to be fired ; horrible little teenager with an attitude problem. I waited in line 13 minutes prior to closing. (Line in front of me and behind me) the car in front of me was told to wait 5 minutes before ordering. When I go to the window she told me they were closed , i said I’ve been waiting almost 15 minutes your really not gonna take my order. She immediately responded “no you haven’t”. What a troll for an employee.

Horrible drive thru experience. The shake was nasty and so was the tater tot was not in the bag. I had to ask for them 3 times. I was also told one price at the intercom and another price at the window. Ripped bag . Had to ask for drunks

If this establishment shows how that $20 an hour employee is? Beware. I placed a mobile order for one small strawberry shake and one small tater tot. My order was received per my email confirmation at 11:47, but okay printed out per their receipt printer at 11:51. I did not leave the incredibly quiet location until 12:14 with my items, however these workers know to clear their work board so their time metrics aren't "bad". However clearly, clearing the board didn't bring my measly 2 items any faster. No, my shake was no longer frozen and my tots were cold. When looking over to the business door, I could see at least 3 different red shirt staff members skulking around seeming to do nothing. Waste of customers time, money and just a poor example of this $20 an hour worker.

I want to share my disappointment with the service during my recent visit. The way the situation was handled showed poor customer relations and little empathy. What could have been a simple fix instead turned into a condescending interaction that made me feel like I was in the wrong .when it was a check in error with there app. We did not complain about waiting over 40 minutes for the sweet treat we came for with our children. However, when the food finally arrived, it was ice cold, and the ice cream was melted and not in solid form. As you can imagine, that was very upsetting to my children. The only thing I expected was a reasonable solution and a respectful approach. I hope this is taken seriously so that other families do not have a similar experience

We ordered DoorDash Sonic today. There was a time not too long ago that I would go to the Sonic in Vacaville on a regular basis because I love the food. The last 2 times I've gone I've been very disappointed and today was the worst. I got a cheeseburger, it came with no cheese. The taste of the meat was disgusting. There were 2 tomatoes on there when I had asked for no tomatoes. The Onion rings were so burned they were like eating little pebbles dipped in batter. One bite and i tossed all in the garbage. My grandson's hot dog was dripping wet and had to be tossed. As of today Sonic has lost my business I will not go back and eat at that horrible place! Yes I got a refund but it doesn't make up for having to eat a peanut butter sandwich instead of a good cheeseburger.

Worst experience ever at sonic! First, the lady taking my Order had zero customer service, Then they gave me a hard time about splitting the checks and making the payment and providing me with a receipt. The food came out super fast. I’m mad. I spent money on eating this. The strawberry limeade taste like the soda has ran out and it’s watered down. The chili cheese fries that I upgraded are soggy and old.. The manager seem like he’s very inexperienced. Just throw away the whole entire sonic!! The staff has an entitled attitude that is very arrogant. If you don’t like your job, don’t come to work simple!!

I requested a double cheeseburger with no mayonnaise, just mustard. I got a double cheeseburger that had mayonnaise on it – – and I had to immediately go to the hospital as I am allergic to mayonnaise! I don't know if this makes a difference or not but if you are a person of Color, I'd HIGHLY recommend that you look at your order BEFORE you leave the premises---it seems that the people at Sonic in Vacaville have an aversion to getting your order right!!!
