Maps Osteria Valchiusa Reviews
A small trattoria in a mountain village: the atmosphere is, I believe, still from the 1950s, but you'll find it very clean and well-kept. The food, well-cooked, boasts top-quality ingredients: the meat is locally sourced! Excellent potatoes, I believe from the mountains, and the wine by the glass is also good. The staff is friendly and helpful. In short: much better than the more prestigious restaurants in larger towns. PS: The prices are definitely fair!
A quaint trattoria. The lady and her staff are exceptional, from the moment you enter the restaurant to the entire service. They cater to their guests' needs with kindness and courtesy. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh and delicious. The meat is excellent, and the fresh pasta is fabulous. We'll be back soon.
Located in Valchiusella, this restaurant is a typical Piedmontese trattoria. Their specialties are local dishes, such as Valchiusella tometta cheese and their truly special minced meat or tagliata, which are sourced from a local butcher. A visit is well worth it during mushroom season, when the dishes are exquisitely prepared. You can try mushroom salad, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and fried mushrooms. In spring, you can sample the fabulous "zuppa di aiuche," made with wild local herbs. After a wonderful excursion in this valley, Maps is a perfect place to end your day. The restaurant is only open on weekends; we recommend calling to check the availability of the products you'd like.
Local ingredients, exquisite dishes, and the owners are incredibly friendly. The appetizers already make for a complete meal... High-quality raw meat, superb Russian salad, delicious peppers with anchovies... Then a traditional soup—soup, to call it a soup, is an understatement—something fantastic...
Great food, affordable price: recommended
Very good and cosy restaurant. Last summer we are there a lot of Times. Hopefully soon we'll come again!
CYCLISTS A MUST STOP!!! Cyclist's menu for 5 hungry bikers: - 1 salami - 1 kg of spaghetti with meat sauce (scarpetta) - 1 kg of raw meat - 1.5 liters of Bonarda - 5 coffees and sparkling water €12.00 ...what more could you ask for? Everything was truly excellent. Kindness and hospitality abound! A warm place. We were lucky to find a table available only because it had just been vacated. The place was packed on a Saturday lunchtime.
Lovely owner, good service and delicious food (highly recommended) in the small city with good air and friendly people ^_^
We went for lunch on Sunday, the place was welcoming and the food was excellent, but the service could be improved...
Authentic trattoria, serving excellent Piedmontese cuisine. The meat is excellent, the fresh pasta dishes are delicious, and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful.
A perfect little spot to hang out with friends and share delicious appetizers, followed by one of the house's first courses. It's best to call ahead if there are more than three of you, as they may not have room or be ready to welcome you. The agnolotti are good (better with red wine than with Castelmagno), and the appetizers are excellent. The bread and breadsticks are already good, and as soon as you arrive, a welcome salami is set on the table, complete with a cutting board and knife... Appetizers that are on the menu: anchovies with red wine, potatoes and fresh tomino cheese, mashed potatoes and cotechino, and chopped beef (to be seasoned). The desserts are also good, but I wouldn't have served the bunet with caramel sauce. There's also an outdoor seating area, a bit messy but pleasant, in the midday sun, with a shaded area as well.
A lovely little place, perfect for dinner on these warm evenings thanks to the cool breeze. Very friendly and helpful staff. A casual, homey place. Reservations are recommended. There are only a few tables, and it fills up quickly. The raw meat is excellent. The appetizers and the tagliata were good, but it arrived overcooked compared to the requested medium, so it was a bit dry and sprinkled with too much coarse salt. The vitello tonnato had a lot of visible fat and was very reminiscent of thinly sliced boiled meat. The sauce was too thin compared to the Piedmontese original. Keep in mind that on a Sunday evening, after the lunch tables, you have to make do with what's left. Overall, it's good and offers a good quality/price ratio.
Osteria restaurant in Drusacco Valchiusella. Reservations are always recommended, especially on weekends. The menu offers a variety of appetizers, including the unmissable carne crudo and vitello tonnato. The tagliata steak with fries is highly recommended as a main course. Don't underestimate the generous portions. Very quick service and very friendly staff.
Very tasty
The online hours cannot be judged; they clearly don't correspond to the current summer 2025 hours. I asked the girl setting up the outdoor tables if reservations were possible for Sunday evening dinner, but she said they were closed. Never mind, I'll try again when they're open and see if they'll kindly update their opening hours.
