Ristorante Da Leone Venezia Reviews
The food was absolutely amazing!! Very authentic! the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth! Food was so rich flavours and very affordable prices. The staff were lovely and made our dine in experience beautiful! Will definitely be visiting here again when I return to Venice!
This restaurant has the best pizza and pasta in Venice! I’ve eaten it twice within three days! It’s really tasty and good service here! Highly recommended!
The food was very good. I ate outside under a heater and had a wonderful experience. The holiday season is just starting so it’s very festive and the outdoor staff sang Feliz Navidad!
Good experience having lunch here... The food was delicious, the staffs were friendly, and the ambience was nice, not too noisy. Too bad the kids menu was not available. Seating areas are available on the ground floor, first floor, and also outdoor. Free wifi for customers is available. Toilets for customers are available on the first floor.
Bonne surprise !
I ate at this restaurant for lunch, ordering spaghetti with cuttlefish ink, and cuttlefish Venetian-style, both were excellent. There's super friendly staff and it’s also a comfortable place where relax a bit after walking all morning through the Venetian streets. I will definitely be back! J'y retournerai certainement !
This is a restaurant to which we have gone twice during our 4-day stay in Venice because of its delicious food, warm service and good ambience (I like their Murano glass and utensils specifically). We have ordered their antipasti of mussels and clams which are very fresh, a vegetarian pizza and a chicken and mushroom spaghetti with an appropriate degree of tenderness and taste. The lunch ends perfectly with a Soft Heart Chocolate Cake and a Cappuccino. What’s more! Price of food is very reasonable by Venice’s standard. Very close to St. Mark’s Square and Doge Palace!
We came across this resto in Venice and took our lunch there. We tasted their rice risotto which is one of venice's famous of and it was good. They serve Filipino food also. Yes, they won't give you tap water instead they serve bottled water which is a bit pricey.
Amazing tasting food & good price. Garlic bread offered very expensive and does not have any garlic though. Gnocchi & pasta are worth coming back for though!
🇵🇭 LEONE D‘ORO RISTORANTE 🇵🇭 As soon as I spotted the Filipino flag outside the restaurant, I knew I had to check out their menu. The staff were super friendly and could see my excitement as a Filipina looking through the options. They mentioned they had adobo as a special that day, along with a twist on sinigang. By this point in my trip, I was really craving rice and some good Filipino food. So, I went for the pork adobo, a shrimp seafood zuppa that was similar to sinigang, and of course, rice! It really hit the spot! They also had a ton of tasty Italian dishes that looked amazing. If you’re in Venice, you can find Restaurant LEONE D'ORO @leonedorovenezia at San Marco 280, just a quick walk from Piazza San Marco. #queeniesfoodjourney #queeniesdiabadassfoodjourney #queenieeats #queenietravels #leonedoro #leonedorovenezia #venice #venezia #filipinofood #filipinofoodmovement #filipinocuisine #filipinofoodie #adobo #rice #comfortfood
It’s our first time in Venice and we wanted rice and soup and came across this place. We ordered from their secret menu and had the salmon sinigang and pork ribs adobo. We thought the sinigang was really good. 4 stars because it’s a bit pricey. we had 2 entrees and 3 bowls of rice (8euros each! Same size as a bowl of soup from Panera and I guess the rice isn’t included with the entrees), and there was a 12% service charge. Our bill came to about 92ish euros. Honestly never paid that much in the U.S for 2 entrees of Filipino food with 3 bowls of rice, taxes, and with an 18% tip. Honestly our fault for not asking about the prices since it wasn’t listed anywhere. So my advice is: ask, always ask! I do recommend the salmon sinigang!
We ended up having lunch here by chance after visiting Doge’s Palace. It was super hot outside, so we ducked in quickly. The place itself is cozy, and they have outdoor seating, which is nice. The service was friendly and fast, no complaints there. But honestly, don’t expect the food to blow you away—it was pretty tasteless. So, if you’re just looking to eat something to keep going, this will do, but if you want an amazing meal, this isn’t the spot. Also, it’s really pricey. They don’t serve tap water, and you’re stuck paying 4.5 euros for a bottle, which is just ridiculous. In short: decent spot to sit and cool down, but don’t get your hopes up about the food, and be ready to spend more than you’d expect.
The staff where friendly and inviting, while the food was fresh and delicious with beautiful presented, I did personally feel like the portion size of the meal was too small but I am a big eater. ( the bread basket help) But I would still recommend this place.
We passed by this restaurant a few times since it was close to our hotel and finally decided to try it. The staff—many of whom are Filipino—were very friendly and warm, which was the highlight of our visit to this restaurant. The food itself was just average and quite overpriced for what you get. Sinigang is not on the menu and tastes nothing like sinigang, lobster pasta is also bland. The most expensive meal we had in Venice! Overall, nice people and convenient location, but the dining experience didn’t quite live up to the cost.
Nice enough place, food was good - particularly Venicien liver I had, and portion sizes are generous. The outside sitting was also nice. But lives up to some negative tourist trap expectations. Staff were way too pushy in trying to get us to buy "rice", very likely as we were ethnically Chinese - but even after explaining we are Australians they kept pushing and I think are deliberately trying to mislead customers into thinking it's a carb replacement. Only to trap you when the bill comes with an ridiculous €8 charge for 10 cents worth of rice on a side plate. Luckily we only ordered one.
Filipino food (sinigang and adobo only) for special order nagustuhan namin kahit medyo pricey. Kapal! Sobra naman! Wag naman ganun mga kabayan!
The food quality was decent. My fiancée and I love calamari, so we always make a point to try it whenever we’re on the Adriatic coast — from Italy to Croatia and beyond. What stood out to me this time, though, were the prices. First, there was a 12% service charge that wasn’t clearly mentioned on the menu. Normally, we’re used to a flat-rate service fee, so this was a bit unexpected. Second, when you order a main course, sides like fries aren’t included — you have to pay extra (for example, calamari was €18, and a side like fries was l €7+). On the positive side, the service was quick and we got our food fast. What I didn’t appreciate was being handed the bill without asking right after we finished eating. I understand it’s a tourist-heavy area, but it still felt a bit rushed.
This place was a huge disappointment. The food was horrible. The waitress was begging for tips, when the restaurant already adds a 12% tip on your bill. NAKAKAWALANGANA. LAHAT NG TAO NAG CECELEBRATE NG PASKO!!!
I've never felt so ripped off by a restaurant. A ridiculous 15% "service fee" at the end. I felt completely scammed. We were initially drawn in by the staff, who promised us authentic Filipino food, a rarity in Venice, that wasn't even on the menu. The Filipino dishes were decent, about an 8/10, but the Italian food was a massive disappointment, maybe a 5/10 at best. All the while, the prices were totally over the top for the quality offered. If you want to get your money's worth, avoid this place.
I have never experienced anything like this before. We went to this restaurant expecting a pleasant evening, but the waiter’s behavior was shockingly rude from the moment we sat down. He was dismissive, rolled his eyes when we asked simple questions about the menu, and then — unbelievably — told us to leave because he claimed we “gave him a weird look.” We were stunned. We hadn’t raised our voices, we hadn’t been disruptive, we hadn’t done anything except sit quietly and order drinks. Being kicked out for something so absurd is insulting and humiliating. The whole situation ruined our night. Management did nothing to address the situation, and no apology was offered. If you value respectful service and basic hospitality, avoid this place at all costs.
