Benvenuti a La Tana Nel Bosco, situata in Via Due Giugno.

AMAZING PIZZA AND FARINATA! Welcoming atmosphere and family-run business.
We discovered this restaurant online and it was a pleasant surprise. Excellent food, and the owner and his son, the chef, were very friendly. We ordered a house appetizer and a sliced beef steak with mushrooms. We both enjoyed it very much, the meat was of high quality. I recommend it and will definitely be back.
Combine quality products, welcoming and friendly staff, a family atmosphere, super clean bathrooms, a friendly and helpful owner, home-cooked food... good wine, meat, porcini mushrooms, pizza, focaccia, arrosticini, desserts all truly delicious... and here's La Tana nel bosco! And I can't wait to try the homemade pasta, maybe next time! I was inspired by ravioli, pansotti, and even sgabei and cured meats, but we were full. Another detail that struck me positively was the attention to little ones: stuffed animals and toys, a small slide, as well as a changing table in the bathroom. Thanks for the lovely evening.
The place truly feels immersed in the woods, despite being practically next to the road. What can I say? It's quiet, the food is excellent; I tried the tagliatelle with cheese and honey, which piqued my curiosity. Excellent homemade tagliatelle and a great dish overall. The meat is also good, everyone is very friendly, and the place is truly peaceful! I hope to be able to return soon!
Over the top! The restaurant has an old-fashioned style, reminiscent of trattorias of yesteryear, well-kept and clean. The menu is varied, from pasta dishes to meat dishes, including the wonderful baked potatoes that almost no one makes anymore. The pizzas are amazing, with excellent dough and generous toppings. The owner and his son, the chef, are simply the epitome of politeness and customer service. The pizza chef, incredibly friendly, chats with customers and shares interesting and entertaining anecdotes about his past. In short, a place where you eat well and feel at ease. Just a couple of small tips: the pizzas are perhaps over-topped; despite those who skimp on toppings, a little less would be fine. Dessert, especially the tiramisu, should be served in traditional glasses rather than on trays, which certainly look nice but are awkward to eat on. Everything, however, was more than excellent; we'll gladly return.
We just wanted to try the restaurant and ended up going twice.
Congratulations! Friendly and attentive service staff, like at home. Fresh and quality products, exquisite dishes of traditional local cuisine, even the grilled meat is delicious. The true Neapolitan pizza is fabulous, the Master Pizzaiolo is a delightful person, the best pizza I have ever tasted outside of Campania. Surprising price-quality ratio.
A unique experience for those seeking quality and expertise in a dish, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the place. Chef Michele Lecce let us taste his take on pizza with potatoes and scamorza, and I must say the quality is top-notch. In fact, I'd say it's the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever tasted in La Spezia and its province. Then there's focaccia, sgabei, cured meats, cheeses, various appetizers, and finally panna cotta. A medium beer to go with it. And all this for the modest price of €23. What can I say? I highly recommend this place. Excellent.
If you want to go back in time and relive those childhood memories, this is the restaurant for you! A welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and attentive, caring staff. You can eat everything... from pizza to appetizers, first courses, and second courses, both meat and seafood. The dishes are generous and excellent. Everything is strictly homemade. I highly recommend it.
The only place in the area where I was able to try "Croxetti," a typical dish from the Vara Valley, topped with sausage and gorgonzola (see photo). The grilled meat was also excellent and plentiful. The location on the edge of the woods was beautiful. Returned on October 18, 2022. I confirm my review, adding an excellent, sizzling tagliata (see video), the Croxetti with mushroom sauce, and the delicious ravioli with meat sauce. Compliments to chef Alessio!
Good food and service
Delicious food in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Great view of the mountains on a clear day. Really good bread (foccacie) and pizza.
Awesome restaurant, friendly owners and customers and tasty meals. Although they only speak Italian it wasn't hard to understand. I'd highly recommend their tiramisu (either with or without coffee) :)

The route to get there is a winding one, and the place is very spartan, like a real den in the woods. We start with an appetizer of Sgabei cured meats and cheeses, which is delicious...the ravioli with meat sauce and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms add to the restaurant's appeal, but the tagliata with arugula and cherry tomatoes loses something. The staff is attentive and courteous. The owner is friendly. They make this a place I'll gladly return to.
Nice restaurant even if not really close to hand. Good food, home cooking with the flavors of the past. I tried both the sea and land dishes and I admit that both were good. Absolutely acceptable price if proportionate to the quality. The only flaw is that the service, in my opinion, is not too fast and needs to be adjusted a bit to obtain a perfect result
