Today, July 23, 2025, Wednesday, I, a motorcyclist, and 6 of my other motorcyclist friends, obviously ALL on a motorbike, stopped for lunch at this restaurant IL RIFUGIO DEL CACCIATORE in Montebruno on the SS.45. The food was EXCELLENT, as was the drink. The price was very good and the place was also very convenient for those arriving from the sea, from Bobbio or from Penice... 100% RECOMMENDED...

A rustic restaurant offering good, plentiful food at a reasonable price. When my wife and I were there, the place was packed. The staff was incredibly attentive. Service was good, however. Reservations are recommended.

Charming and absolutely delicious! My family is visiting for a month while staying with Nicoletta. The wonderful bar tender was kind to us although we don’t speak much Italian. She made us an early chicken dinner that’s flavor was out of this world! It was so good! Their homemade gelato is tasty and perfectly priced. This place has a lot of charm and even the customers were kind to my children. Worth the visit. We’re going back today!

We arrived by chance, returning from a day trip, and sat down at a table in this pleasant establishment with the intention of enjoying an aperitivo. It was a very positive experience, thanks in part to the kindness and friendliness of the owners. The appetizers and cured meats were plentiful, and the spritzes were particularly noteworthy, especially the last of the three I drank. Definitely worth revisiting to try the food.

I stumbled upon this little trattoria in this mountain village purely by chance and because of a minor breakdown. Excellent food and very friendly, helpful service. After the meal, the friendly lady contacted a local mechanic who promptly repaired the minor damage. Thanks for the help!

Menù vario e porzioni abbondanti. Ho mangiato davvero bene l'unica cosa che mi ha un po' spiazzato è che i primi piatti sono arrivati al tavolo già con il parmigiano sopra. Consiglio vivamente

Locale accogliente con un profumo di storia misto ad autenticità. La trattoria offre specialità liguri di ottimo livello esperienziale data anche l'ottima materia prima utilizzata. È anche pizzeria con forno a legna di buon livello. Personale gentile, disponibile e adeguato al locale. Merita sicuramente la visita. Si consiglia di prenotare qualche giorno prima. Un plauso per le adeguate misure anti contagio.

Excellent value for money, the tagliata was really good and plentiful, the mandilli were good and plentiful, the appetizer was plentiful... I would also consider the option of ordering a dish for two, given the quantity. It's a country restaurant.
