Tip: Ideale per cene estive grazie all'ampio spazio esterno. La scrocchiarella è molto consigliata, specialmente quella con combinazioni particolari come spalla di maiale e zucca fritta.

El Tocororo Via Izano Reviews
Best pizza I have tried in Italy. 🔝
Review written by Fabio Verdiglione, DadCook, based on my personal experience: El Tocororo: An Explosion of Flavor in Madignano El Tocororo isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that captivates all the senses. Located in Madignano, in the province of Cremona, this welcoming and meticulously curated restaurant offers a menu rich in dishes that stimulate the imagination and satisfy the palate. Pizza: The true star of the restaurant, El Tocororo's "scrocchiarella" pizza is a masterpiece of lightness and crunchiness. The dough, made with sourdough, is worked with care and attention to create a fragrant and flavorful base. The variety of pizzas is truly extensive, with classic and gourmet options to please all tastes. More than just pizza: the restaurant's menu also offers a wide selection of first courses, second courses, and desserts. Traditional Cremonese flavors meet Mediterranean and innovative influences, resulting in unique and refined dishes. A special atmosphere: the restaurant's atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful. The service is impeccable and attentive to every detail. El Tocororo is the ideal place for a romantic dinner, an evening with friends, or a family lunch. My advice: don't miss the Roman-style pizza. And to finish off your meal, order the homemade dessert. El Tocororo: a restaurant that will win your heart and your palate. An experience you must try! Tip: Book in advance, especially on weekends.
I had the homemade ravioli with pears and ricotta, mussels marinara, and beans and onions as a side. The first course was generous, and the sweetness of the pears gave it an extra kick. The mussels, for the second course, were plentiful, open, and very tasty (I finished the whole sauce! It was just the right amount of spicy!). The side dish, beans and onions, was truly delicious, and I love onions. I'll definitely be back!
An evening with friends at this place where the specialty is scrocchiarella served on a huge platter. They also do burgers and much more. The scrocchiarella is delicious, with so many variations and truly interesting combinations. I particularly enjoyed the one with pork shoulder and fried pumpkin, oh so good. And dessert? The cheesecake was absolutely mouth-watering. The place was packed, but we were served in just the right amount of time. The staff was friendly and attentive to every request and question. The nice thing is that if you don't finish your pizza, they give you a card so you can take it home. I'll definitely be back. And I highly recommend it.
Everything was delicious. Super-leavened pizza, soft and delicious. The scrocchiarella, with two different types, was also very good, with special overcooked ingredients. The tiramisu was very good, and the staff was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was very quaint and beautiful.
Ok

Suitable for group dinners. Spacious and well-kept. Restored former farmhouse. We had pizza al palo, very good. Conversation was comfortable. Clean, vintage bathroom. Free parking nearby, but not very large.
Pizzeria and restaurant located in Madignano. Very good pizza, crispy and crunchy for those who like this type of dough. You can choose between a round pizza or a peel with multiple toppings. The place also serves a full menu, and I'll try them next time. The desserts are delicious; I tried the homemade tiramisu. The only downside is that the place has a lot of tables, and given the quality of the pizza, they're all full, so the wait and ordering process is a bit slow. However, the flavor is truly outstanding, so it's worth the wait. Reservations are essential, as they're always full. Recommended, but be patient. Top.
The scrocchiarella is excellent, with a super light and digestible dough and fresh, high-quality ingredients. I'd say it's a fair value! The cheesecake with salted caramel is also good. The place has a large outdoor area, perfect for a summer dinner, and the staff is friendly and helpful! I highly recommend stopping by to try all their scrocchiarella flavors. I'll definitely be back to try more!
Decent food with excellent service
Honestly, this place left us with a bitter taste in our mouths. Really small portions and high prices. The meat was well-cooked but... tasteless. Then I asked for a small handful of pasta for a newly weaned baby of a few months. They brought me giant snails with simple tomatoes... the baby ate max 2, I paid €8 for them. We ordered a tagliata, I swear it wasn't 80g. We ordered bread twice (three 3cm slices of baguette). We asked for a carbonara, specifying it as large (even paying extra). The portion arrived was really small, and then it was mediocre. We skipped dessert and coffee and left. As for me, I definitely wouldn't go back.
Pizza super!!
Ok
Do they deserve one more star? In my opinion, no. The place isn't bad, but eating in the cold on a cold day didn't seem ideal. I tried it with my partner on a birthday party, and there were several things I didn't like. First of all, as I mentioned, it was cold. We were in the dining room created from the portico, enclosed on three sides by transparent sheets and heated in the corners by two pellet stoves (which, I'd say, weren't enough). I'm not saying I dined in a jacket, but it would have been better. Roman style: at a birthday party, you can't force guests to split the bill equally when I ordered two round scrocchie (Nordica and Giada) and two bottles of water (half a liter), spending 50 euros. Not to mention that the next day, when the birthday girl informed me, the bill had risen to 33 euros each. Kudos to you for the disorganization (besides, you can't legally force this split). Let's get to the dishes: either it's a scrocchiarella or it's a pizza, ditto with cured meats, or it's a raw ham or a culaccia, the two can't coexist. Prices are the same (I don't agree): €14 for a round scrocchia with culaccia, dried tomatoes, and burrata seems excessive to me, especially since the filling is cold and the dried tomatoes ruin the flavor of the cured meat. The best is yet to come; the birthday girl, who was asked to pay a €2 surcharge, asked if she could bring her own cake, as it would have dirty their plates (absurd, I'd say), and on top of that, a measly cake with a number that honestly wasn't even good. We'll be back, I don't know; we were better a few years ago, a classic place for aperitifs or after dinner.
