Brolo Milano Via Melzo Reviews
I'm not vegetarian, but I really enjoyed this spot. Have menus in English if you're not an Italian speaker. Would visit again.
Very tasty food. Not a strict vegan or vegetarian but I would go here daily if I could.
We loved everything about this place. The food was excellent, great ingredients, nice atmosphere and very good service. We will definitely go back when in Milan.
I was delighted to experience this place. Yes, the place is an experience. They have amazing coffees, cakes, muffins and most of their recipes are vegan. They do make sure all of their recipes use organic produce. That fact will be pretty evident from your visit. Tried the carrot cake and the beetroot muffins. The cake was subtle with a nutty flavour. I personally liked it. The beetroot muffin was definitely the highlight, it had dried fruits that added a touch of surprise. You will certainly enjoy it. The people here were super sweet as well, cared enough to brief me about what they do and what they have. Felt nice.
A cute vegetarian restaurant with a cozy, farm-to-table vibe. It's advisable to make a reservation. The staff are genuinely nice and friendly. The food is exceptionally fresh and delicious. We indulged in banana bread for dessert and it was amazing. Definitely looking forward to returning 🥗
Unexpected vegetarian place. Very lovely atmosphere and staff. Dishes are very inspiring. If you are here try zucchini flower chips, you won’t be disappointed. And to the previous review, they do their homework. If you can’t read Italian they can offer an English menu, just ask.
We stumbled upon this adorable farm-to-table restaurant by chance, and the cozy vibe made us happy to wait an hour (even without a reservation—it was packed!). As a group of four vegetarians, we were excited to dig in. We ordered the black garlic pasta, quinoa salad, pumpkin risotto, poached eggs with bread, and the broccoli balls. Unfortunately, most dishes arrived lukewarm or cold, including the broccoli balls, which we expected to be crispy and warm. The risotto was well-cooked but underseasoned, and the quinoa salad needed dressing (though the staff kindly brought us oil and vinegar). The poached egg dish was a surprise—instead of bread, it had something like oatmeal, and it lacked flavor. That said, the space is lovely, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive. With a bit more attention to seasoning, temperature, and execution, this place could be fantastic. We’d be curious to try it again in the future!
Unfortunatelly we didn’t have an overall good experience… the flavour of the food was good, besides one pasta that was the most tasteless and boring pasta I ever had. The dishes took almost 1 hour to arrive (we ordered pasta) and for my surprise, my paccheri came uncooked as in the picture I am adding here. (In my opinion is completely inadmissible to serv uncooked pasta (specially in a restaurant that took so long to get it ready). When I complained and they took my dish to get it re-done, my second one (mondeghini di zucca) was already ready, which means, if my first dish was not uncooked and I have eaten it, my second one would be cold by the time it was served. Dessert wise , the cheesecake was delicious and the coffee was nicely served in an individual mocca.
Disappointing Experience. We walked into a beautifully designed restaurant with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the promise. Service: Embarrassing. There is no English menu, no one to explain or direct. Both waiters were visibly impatient and unwelcoming. Food: The waiter recommended a dish that turned out to be watermelon soaked in soy sauce. One bite was enough - we sent it back. That’s not the salad / vegetables we asked for. The waiter cleared our table with such frustration. We genuinely felt like we were being asked to leave. Thankfully, the soups (carrot and gazpacho) were decent. That’s all we ended up eating. €46 for two soups and a bad experience? You decide. For us, it was absolutely not worth it. There's no reason to return to a place like this.
