Il Boccio Via Sant'anselmo Reviews
The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Highly recommended 👌
Just off the main pedestrian drag. Great service from the young staff. We sat on the terrace and it was very pleasant. Very good, and surprisingly large, pizza. Pasta dish equally of good quality. Even the house wine was perfectly passable. Well worth visiting for a good experience at a very reasonable price.
Good prices and great portions of tasty, freshly prepared food. Quick and friendly service, the staff was very well versed in English and French, amazing! We had a good time in the garden, thank you!
Went here for family evening meal. Great food, particularly the pizzas and fondue. Service was great, staff very helpful explaining the menu. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for families.
Relaxed, casual atmosphere which is great if you have children. The food was wonderful and dishes were abundant. The owner was incredibly nice and even offered some of their own homemade Ginepy and Mirco at the end of dinner.
We had 2 fantastic meals here, the first night was fantastic and the second night 14 of us arrived , 7 adults & 7 children and the food, service & ambiance was amazing, the shrimp ravioli was Devine. Juri & Gianga are the greatest & attended to all our requests.

Revisired: Lunch: crowdy, noisy, the antipasto wasn't impressive (tomatoes half ripe and hard, mozarella far from being buffala or even frim Campagna), but all in all good. The firdf time I went there was for dinner and they ticked every box. Much better. Quick, well behaved, lovely garden setting... I tried to make a photo but I couldn't stop eating so... use your imagination. i recommend making a reservation though. The place is small, filled up quickly and many guests that came with no reservation were disappointed. I suggest you don't go there for lunch but for a substantial snack.
Slow service. Unpolite. Warm white wine. Pizza was ok, but cheap ingredients. Would chose the Napoli, otherwise below standards.

To be very honest, the food was a disappointment- the pizza was really rubbery, the dough had not risen properly. We ordered Calzone with mushrooms- the mushrooms were from a tin can! Very watery a…
Could have been 5* for all.. this our second visit... on our first the staff were superb and our large group each payed seperatly... but this time, the owner was there and was quite rude to us, not allowing a split bill... it was not as if they were very busy... well, shal not going back there...!
...food it's average, price are honest. I ordered mezze maniche which took 5min to reach my table, so I asked if it was pre cooked, and I got a funny face from the waitress telling me...nor of course not! At 21:45 it was me and one more person in the restaurant, they decided to turn off the music, making me feel I must leave. Customer service is a must in catering business
I’m sorry but the pizza was horrible. It was all wet and the topping had bad quality. The cheese and tomato sauce was in one mix and made pizza wet and grey. If you go to the place at the beginning of the alley you will get way better pizza. The only reason this place gets two stars is because they had good service.
Sitting outside was nice, the place and waiters have informal relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the time but not the food. Not sure why this restaurant received such high rating. The Carpaccio plate seem to use cold-cuts, not raw meat, sprayed with olive oil and tomato. Main plate, polenta and meat was inedible - the meat was very salty and the polenta was tasteless. We are not Italian speakers. They provided few fixed-price one page menus - Italian only. We needed the waiter's help to understand it. The one we used posted a 1st, 2nd and main plates was marked 20 Euro but apparently the main plate had a high extra charge of 14 Euros by itself so we ended up paying 34 Euros - each, for this meal which unfortunately left us hungry. This restaurant was on a list of discounted restaurants (by our hotel) but they refused to acknowledge that and did not provide a discount.
This restaurant was recommended by a local shopkeeper who seemed genuine enough. We asked for good local food and the menu seemed touristy but nonetheless we thought we'd give it a try. We were ask…

I went there with my family during our family trip. The reception lady was surely in a bad mood. A dozen of vacant tables, and telling us that it's full, and she needs to make arrangements since we did not book in advance. Don't open the restaurant if you can't manage to be polite and show a commercial smile. I will NEVER go again.
Horrible experience before you even enter. Greeted by (what looks like the owner) and asked: do you have a reservation? I answered no sorry. The owner laughed and said you think you can eat here without a reservation? And shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Disgusting behaviour. Don't worry we found a better place to eat :-) I suggest you culture yourself and learn some people manners too while you are at it. Very childish behaviour to say the least.
