Caffè Sole Via Vandalino Reviews
Ottimo bar per colazione, brioches e croissant ottimi. Personale gentile e competente e locale tenuto molto bene
For an appointment on Via Vandalino, we stumbled upon this bistro and couldn't have made a better choice. The staff are friendly and efficient. Daily dishes, fresh ingredients, and a vast menu with a variety of options. We opted for pasta with broccoli, sausage, and anchovies, a simple tomato pasta, and I must say, the sauce was fresh and not overly acidic. We then continued with delicious potato, eggplant, and toma croquettes with green beans, and a Milanese with mixed salad and water—all for a very fair price. If I'm ever in the area again, it will be my go-to place for a quick stop.
I stopped by chance because it's not in my area, but I was particularly impressed by the excellent coffee with plenty of foam and the chocolate treble clef treat. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I think I'll try to stop by again.
The best bar! I often go for breakfast with my sisters. They welcome you with a smile and make your day brighter! Very kind owners. It's our favorite bar. Delicious croissants and excellent coffees and cappuccinos. ❤️
I've never had better brioches than theirs; crisp, light, and incredibly fragrant. Every time I go there, I want to eat two or three... cheerful, friendly people, always smiling. Spotlessly clean!
We stumbled upon this bar by chance while passing through, and found an elegant atmosphere and impeccable service. The bartender was friendly and always ready with a joke. The croissants are definitely a cut above average. We'll definitely return for the aperitivo.
Ho avuto l’occasione di pranzare da Titti. Una persona solare e gentile. Il cibo buono, il personale è cordiale. Molto soddisfatta. Tornerei volentieri!
The coffee is good, the cappuccino excellent, and the pastries are top-notch! 👍👍👏 Even at lunchtime, the food is good (despite it being a bar), and they also have some quality wines. The staff are friendly and remember your preferences... so to speak, you can ask for the usual after they see you a few times 👏👏👏, but unfortunately, during peak lunchtime, there's a bit of tension among the staff 👎 It's a shame because the 5°☆ is within their reach.
Di passaggio per lavoro, mi sono fermato per una veloce colazione. Buona scelta di brioches. Personale gentile, sia la ragazza al banco che la signora che serviva ai tavoli. Piccolo dettaglio: col ca…
Nice place, clean and welcoming. Great for breakfast or aperitivo. Good service. A bit out of reach in its location nested under the porches of a recently built neighbor. A little gem in an area where there is not much around
Il locale e ‘ carino e pulito .. brioche e caffè buoni.. la signora bionda che serve ai tavoli gentilissima e simpaticissima.. il suo collega o capo ( chissa) gran maleducato continuava a sgridarla i…
Went there the other evening, got a bottle of prosecco, 3 spritzes, they didn't bring anything to the table to nibble on, just a mini cup of peanuts and a small plate of crisps, they won't see me again, price 50 euros, who knows?
We have frequented this place several times and we have always had a great time!! Titti is missing!! His professionalism was unquestionable!! Everything had to be perfect and it was!! We went there but all of that is missing!! The cream cannoli are no longer the same!! And the coffee, although it represents one of the best brands on the market, is not well cared for in every respect!! It has a strange taste!! The appearance is not the best!! In any case, there is no care and love in the coffee!! In addition to the significant cost of € 1.30, you need to give added value to the product!! In any case, the place is always beautiful!! You bought a Ferrari, you can't drive it like a Panda!! Those who choose the Top must continue to be Top!! Good luck!!!
I'm sorry but all that remains of this bar is the name, coffee €1.30, it tastes like everything except coffee, dry brioche €1.90, the service and energy that we felt before are sorely missed!
This morning I had a latte macchiato, it seems excessive (to say the least) to pay €2.90 for it, especially considering it's on Via Vandalino. Never again.
Judge for yourself: I was asked to leave my admittedly valuable umbrella outside the establishment, in an unattended umbrella stand. My legitimate request to keep it near the door, inside, or at least to have a guarantee of compensation in case of theft, was met with such annoying arrogance it was almost grotesque. Isn't that enough? Okay... I was "kindly" advised to leave it "outside but visible," as if this were a brilliant and safe solution, while I was sitting a dizzying distance away, unable to intervene in the event of theft. Surreal. Only thanks to the intervention of the other owner—fortunately much more sensible and accommodating—was I able to keep the umbrella close to me, in a bag they provided, even though it was too small to cover it. And here's the stroke of genius: the gentleman in question, with an unparalleled sense of the ridiculous, handed me a Santero bucket just over 30 cm tall to catch a few insignificant drops. Unbelievable. But that's not all: to top it all off, this individual, in his usual haughty tone, dares to insinuate that the umbrella could have "damaged the furnishings." Why? Because of two drops of water on a shiny, waterproof shelf, which I promptly wiped away with a handkerchief before getting up and leaving? Yeah? Really absurd. It's clear that our only option was to leave the place immediately, after having consumed and paid. But wouldn't finding a more intelligent solution to such a trivial problem have been smarter? Of course, it would have been not only possible, but mandatory for the managers. But it's clear they're totally incapable of it. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and completely disrespectful, unbecoming of anyone who calls themselves a business owner and works in contact with the public. I would have expected professionalism, especially considering that politeness is our priority, and secondly that one of the people with me and I are also entrepreneurs, and we certainly don't treat our customers this way. This kind of attitude is the worst possible advertisement for the place. But don't worry, I won't be the one to say we'll never return, because it's obvious. And I can already imagine the hysterical response, along the lines of "we don't need customers like that." Any advice? One that the rude manager certainly won't want, but which I'll offer because I'm feeling charitable today? Always remember that the wheel turns, and mistreating even a single customer is a grave mistake for anyone who passes themselves off as a professional. I'm attaching photos to avoid unnecessary disputes. Lots of love.
I spent two days in Turin for work, and while staying at the hotel in Piazza Massaua, I stopped for breakfast at this bar. The decor is very nice, and there's a wide selection of sandwiches and pastries. If it weren't for one of the two bartenders who, in a very rude manner, started loudly giving orders and rudely addressing his colleague (who was rushing to do both of their jobs and pretending not to notice, given the embarrassment of all the customers), the bar would be really nice. How to ruin a bar through ignorance and rudeness.
