Hosteria il castelletto Via Venticinque Aprile Reviews
We went to Hosteria il Castelletto and had a truly enjoyable experience. The traditional Emilian cuisine is fantastic: gnocco fritto, tigelle, all kinds of pasta… everything delicious. The waiters are kind and helpful, always ready to offer advice. Overall, a truly excellent evening worth repeating.
This is one of the best restaurants in Milano area. I would recommend this place to get a Michelin star.
Excellent
We went here for dinner and had a wonderful time. From the service to the location, everything was excellent. The quality of the dishes was proportionate to the price. The staff was truly kind and welcoming, and they agreed to let one of us have a tasting menu and the other a main course. Not only that, but they also brought us two main courses. A level of attention to detail in the kitchen and the customer service that is hard to find these days. Not to mention the food: excellent, fresh, and truly delicious. I'll definitely be back if I can. In total, with a tasting menu, a water, a glass of wine, and a main course, we spent €60. Thank you for everything.
Birthday dinner, with a set menu. Restaurant located on a road connecting to Peschiera Borromeo, free parking in front of the restaurant. Large restaurant with several rooms. For appetizers, we tried gnocco fritto and cured meats: delicious gnocco fritto, light and crispy fried food, and good cured meats. We then tried a trio of appetizers: tortelli with pumpkin: out of this world, pisarei with beans: also really good, and another type of pasta, closed with caxxo and citrus fruits: very unusual but good. Tigelle with cheese and Nutella... really well-cooked and flavorful tigelle. The waiter service was quick and polite. A truly wonderful discovery, reservations are definitely recommended. I will gladly return to discover their à la carte menu.
Most delicious food around Milan
One of the best in Bettola!
Great place, very nice atmosphere, great food and excellent service. Young lady with glasses (forgot to ask her name) was very helpful and gave great advice and information about the dishes. Hope to have a chance to come back again soon. 👌
We ate at the garden, loved the food and the service and the ambiance of the inner garden
Lovely food, good service and great prices
Outstanding service, lovely food, thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Il Castelletto is a friendly and welcoming reataurant with dishes coming from the traditional cuisine of Emilia. Since when you enter, you feel a warming atmosphere, which last Sunday was underlined by the red chequered tablecloths. The restaurant develops along some corridors and seems really large: nevertheless, service is quick and kind. I believe the entries are a must: the traditional one includes the typical gnocco fritto (warm, squared bread pastries that you are supposed to eat with salami, ham, coppa, lardo, mortadella, that deliciously melt on the gnocco) which I suggest to accompany with some sparkling lambrusco. Alternatively, you may have some bruschette. Then, try any pasta (lasagne, or with ragù; last Sunday I had some tagliatelle with truffles), which should be followed by a more structured wine, like a Gutturnio. If you still have some space, you might have some meat (my father had a very tender tagliata, my daughter some polenta with melted cheese), ir simply some vegetables. We could not try the dessert, but coffee was good. On the walls, there are pictures of last century's rural life, and frames with rhousands of business cards: a clever idea never seen before. Prices are affordable, and personnel is extremely caring. Park places are avundant and convenient on the other side of the road.
This restaurant is one of the best in Milan area, I would recommend for a Michelin star. The atmosphere and the crew are outstanding.

Nothing special and quite expensive for the type of food
We’ve visited this restaurant many times, but unfortunately, this experience seemed to be rather disappointing. While the cold cuts and pasta are always good and the female staff are consistently friendly, the main dishes, especially the meat options, are frequent letdown. This time, we ordered the baby pork, which was dry, overly fatty, and filled with bones—hardly what we were expecting. It's become a pattern here, as the meat dishes often fail to impress. To make matters worse, when we politely mentioned our dissatisfaction with the dish as it was inedible, the man working was not only dismissive of our opinion but also quite rude and wanted to “educate” us on this type of meat. 26€ for a plate of pork bones and fat! At this point we decided to just leave the restaurant and finish our lunch elsewhere. Despite our loyalty, I think this will be our last visit.
Price is too high for what they provide
