The Elephant Victor Reviews
Owner is very hospitable and offered a great recommendation for a dish!! 5 stars isn’t enough!!
My son and I went for lunch. Had pad Thai, drunken noodles and spring rolls. Everything was excellent. Will definitely go back.
Have loved the Elephant in Geneva for years. Happy to have their food in Victor now! Just had dinner.. delicious as always!
Delicious dinner! Our first time in for dinner and service was great, meal was just what we hoped for!
Delicious fresh food everytime I go. Friendly staff that always accommodates. I come once weekly. It's a victor gem.
Pineapple fried rice is delicious and the serving size is generous
We had a great lunch. Service was FAST, food was fantastic, and Feroz was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!
The food here is absolutely amazing! Service was wonderful. So happy to see a new great restaurant in Victor!
Best Thai food I have ever had so far!
First time trying. Food was fantastic. The gentleman that waited on me was very polite and welcoming. Can’t wait to go again!
Delicious food and great service. The best Thai food I ever had. I highly recommend.
Thank you for a lovely dining experience. There were four of us dining and each dish was a beautiful presentation and just delicious. The service was excellent.
The dumplings and crab ragoon you could tell were made from scratch. Dishes were full of flavor and not too spicy. Everything was great and reasonable prices.
I have been to the one in Geneva, which is always good. I ordered green tofu vegetable curry and wonton soup, it was perfect especially for a rainy cold spring day. Not to be missed.
Came in with my husband he was very skeptical of doing Thai food anywhere but was greeted by the host of the restaurant he was one of the best servers I had the chance served us in a long time Feroz I hope I spelled it correctly he's from Trinidad he is lovely, entertaining, funny and give jokes as well. The food is amazing customer service on point . We drove in from Rochester to Victor we own a restaurant and asked Feroz if he was willing to relocate to Rochester but he kindly declined saying his loyalty is to the owners . Feroz guided us through the whole menu . I will recommend The Elephant of Victor to all my friends.
Pricy but absolutely wonderful food. So many choices. You can customize your dining experience. I've told several friends about how good it is. Just got a message from a friend that went tonight and just loved it.
The portions are enormous. Get a lunch and you have taken care of dinner! Here is a tip - ask the owner to select a meal for you. You will get something you never thought to try, and it will be delicious.
On my second visit there is no question this is the best Thai restaurant in the greater Rochester area. The food is fresh and flavorful. You will not be disappointed!
Absolutely delicious! I wish there was a lunch menu. My new favorite place to eat!
Great dining experience. Menu has a lot of options, the staff is friendly and attentive, restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, and the food is Delicious. Thank you for opening in the area.
What a wonderful evening my family had here, first time, in town on vacation. Courteous and friendly staff, fantastic food. We'll be back.
Ordered Tom yum soup and Thai basil chicken for takeout. Comforting and delicious. Can't wait to eat in and try some of the specialty dishes.
Cute, little Thai restaurant in the heart downtown Victor! The food was so fresh, and flavorful! The service was top notch! Highly recommend this little gem if you’re in town!
Great food and very fast. We were in and out in 30 mins. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5-stars-- would have been great if the fireplace were lit... It's winter!
The food was great. Our waiter needs to think about a job that doesn’t require serving people! Not good, kinda made us not want to go there again or if we do get food to go!
Great place! The food is yummy and the service is kind and quick! Atmosphere is peaceful and clean
A great addition to Victor. We had the pad thai and chicken with basil sauce. Both were delicious. Food came out fast.
Very delicious food!! We enjoyed our first time and will return for our Thai food cravings.
Definitely a place you need to check out. I will definitely be returning ☺️. Food was delicious, service was fast and polite.
The food is amazing. Atmosphere is perfect. Service is family like. Highly recommend
We had a great meal. We dined in and the server was super helpful and funny and professional. We had four dishes and they were all delicious. This place is new and I suggest people try it.
Had Mother’s Day dinner here and was not disappointed!!! Service was top shelf from the moment we entered. Meals were authentic and presentation superb. We will definitely be back soon! My new favorite restaurant!
Traveling on I-90, went a little off the beaten path and found this place. Every bite was a WOW to the taste buds and the service was friendly and quick. Now this is a must stop every chance we get as we travel the NY Thruway! So wish we lived closer because this would be our weekly go-to!
Excellent food, very quick and kind homey-service. Thai food can be a hit or a miss, and The Elephant hits it. The Panang curry was thick with coconut oil and many fresh ingredients. Just the right 'kick' to free up the sinus'. Highly recommend trying it out!
This place is about to be one of our favorites! I’ve been eyeing it ever since their “coming soon” sign was outside. I ordered Chicken Panang curry and it was the perfect amount of spicy. My favorite Thai dish by far. My husband ordered combination pineapple fried rice. It was so full of flavor with lots of meat and veggies. We also got the fried ice cream which was soooo good. It was basically a flaming ball of ice cream wrapped in cinnamon fried dough. Definitely must try!! Feroz provided amazing customer service. We will be back!
The food was excellent. The prices were competitive, but the presentation was absolutely beautiful. It looked like it should be more expensive than it is. The attention to detail was very impressive. Highly recommend and it's worth the drive if you live outside of the Victor area. It's only 20 minutes from the east side of the city, so it's really not that far.
First off the owner and employees are wonderful ! We celebrated my birthday there and the owner came out , she was kind , polite , funny and went out of her way to introduce herself and wish me a happy birthday . The food was fantastic with huge portions and every single bit of it is made fresh as it’s ordered for you . The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very spacious . I highly recommend it and will be visiting there on a regular basis .
Came with my mother and ordered the chicken pad Thai and the drunken noodles. My mom is a thai food newbie and she loved the drunken noodles and wants to come back asap! Everything was delicious. Fast service.
I went for lunch with my friend today. The food was great and the service friendly. We received our meals quickly and enjoyed every bite!
Ordered takeout, got pineapple fried rice with chicken, pad thai with chicken, Thai basil stir fry with beef, and green curry with tofu. Dishes were flavorful and tasted very clean and fresh. Will come back.
My boyfriend and I ordered the summer roll, Tom Kha Soup, Pad Thai, and sticky mango rice. All of which were a really great price for great proportions and it was delicious. I will be going here again!
Great service- the host/server was extremely friendly, attentive and made some suggestions on the menu. Soups were very good and everything our table ordered was delicious. We ordered beef drunken noodles, basil fried rice, chicken pad see ew and two types of pad thai. I wanted to order some of the desserts that were suggested, but we were stuffed. We will definitely be back.
Dinner there tonight, had no idea it was this good. Great service and all three of our meals were fast and awesome
Great Thai food in downtown Victor. Located in standalone building, someone's house years ago, with plenty of atmosphere and room. Loved the Massaman Curry, rich in spices and with a hint of sweetness. Highly recommend you give The Elephant a try.
First experience was take out and was excellent and ready right on time, the second experience was dine-in and the environment and service was warm and friendly, the food was the kind of food that puts a smile on your face, it was superior. They even customized a dish upon request. Apparently a family run small business which deserves to be supported!
Absolutely incredible food!!! The host made a stellar drink suggestion of the Taro tea with condensed milk when I was unsure of what I wanted! We had the spring rolls, Thai dumplings, Pad Thai with chicken, and the Three Flavor Roasted Duck. All dishes were delicious and cooked to perfection. It’s an adorable small restaurant and we will definitely be returning for more tea and duck!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!
Great food, I've been here several times and everything ive had has been really really good. Server is attentive and on the ball! Definitely recommend!
We ordered delivery through a 3rd party app and the driver mistakenly dropped off an order from a different app. Customer support through the apps both placed blame on the other and refused to resolve the issue. We called The Elephant to place our order again, explaining the mistake--which was NOT their responsibility--and they remade our order for free and included some extra goodies! The delicious food was enough to bring us back time and time again, but the customer service tonight solidified us as forever customers!
It's pretty good. My backup plan when the #1 thai choice is too busy.
We had a wonderful meal at The Elephant- an appetizer of the Thai dumplings, then pad see ew and drunken noodles. It was a generous serving of deliciousness! The service was great and the staff friendly. This is a hidden gem that should everyone should enjoy!!
Excellent food. Main dish was just right spicy. Our host was friendly and willing to explain and to give suggestions. Absolute best way to end the meal, order fried ice cream. Fantastic!!
Everything was great, waiter was awesome. The honey ginger tea was wonderful served in the cutest elephant tea kettle. The Tom Khan soup with veggies was the best. They do not yet have their liquor license, but will be exciting when they do. We will be highly recommending to family and friends!
We had a wonderful evening in the small room with the fireplace. Our server, Feroz was really concerned that we might be too warm, but it was absolutely perfect. The food is delicious— really, really delicious. Feroz offers me a caddy of spice. This was fantastic and a welcome addition to an already tasty meal. Please try the curry puffs. Absolutely wonderful. We’ll go back again. No complaints only praise.
The food was some of the best Thai I’ve had in the Rochester area. Fresh ingredients and tasty options.
This is one of our favorite Thai Restaurants in the area. They have an amazing Thai Fried Rice with vegetables and tofu. Full of so many fresh vegetables which is refreshing. The Pad Thai is also another one of my husband's favorite dishes and they are always will to spice it up for him. The spring rolls and the summer rolls are my absolute favorite the peanut sauce I could eat by itself, really so good. The waiter is the nicest guy ever and is so accommodating. You must try this place you won't be sorry.
Yum! Awesome little Thai place. The food was fantastic. The service was super friendly. The place is a tiny little spot that feels cozy and inviting. The Thai iced tea was one of the best I’ve tasted. And it was great to have so many protein options for all the dishes - I highly recommend the mock duck whether you’re a non meat eater or a carnivore. Will definitely be back!
My family and I just went to Thai Elephant in Victor, and we all loved the food there! Our host was very polite and the environment in the restaurant was warm and welcoming! I had the drunken noodle, my husband had the Thai basil, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the padseeew chicken! The food here made me feel like I was eating back home in Thailand. I am going to rate this experience a 5 out of 5! We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! When thinking of Thai food, I highly recommend Thai Elephant in Victor!
We’ve ordered takeout/delivery multiple times and are always blown away by the speed and quality of the orders. The coconut rice is my new fixation food!! Can’t go wrong with the pad Thai and the steamed vegetables. We visited recently for dine-in and were so so pleased with the phenomenal and friendly service. We switched up from our usual order and got pineapple fried rice and tom yum hot pot, two entrees I can wholeheartedly recommend. I’m looking forward to trying more menu items soon! Takeout, delivery, or dine-in…you are sure to get a great meal! My one very minor critique of the atmosphere is that the lighting is a bit harsh..I would recommend switching light bulbs from cool white to a soft yellow. But other than that, the dining area is very clean and cozy!
i have been curious for a time and finally had an opportunity ---- excellent would still not sing enough praises ----- i wont pretend to know how to word the names of the dishes but my lady had a chicken, i had a pork, both were extremely good, the service went beyond anything you would find in an american eatery , server discussed how to eat to get the best out of var. flavors will be back ---- oh before i go, the ambiance was very nice having several rooms, they were smart enough not to gut the whole house leaving much in its original form... parking is easy in easy out BUT there is little to indicate when they are open --- they need a open/closed sign hanging from the elephant sign and another sandwich board open sign visible to drivers --- lastly prices were fair
Excellent Thai food!! great service highly recommended they have certain specials that aren't on the menu
The staff here are so kind and generous. They gifted us Khaw Mankai and soup. They are wonderful with children and large parties. I will come here again!!
Praram chicken and Thai donuts. It was a new special that was really good! Great portion size too
This was our first time here and the food and service were amazing! I had the pad Thai and my husband had the drunken noodles. We had Thai custard for dessert which wasn’t on the menu but was recommended. Overall, a quick and delicious meal. Can’t wait to go back.
Stopped in with family, including grandkids. Everything was great, including the service. As a traveling vegan, I am always on the lookout for good food. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
Fantastic Thai place! The chicken pad thai is amazing, but their soups and fried rices are just as good, and the staff is so cool, 5 stars!

Omg the pad ci u is absolutely amazing. My craving is taken care of I’m telling everyone I know. Hard to find good Thai food in the part of NY. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We love Thai food and heard about this little gem. Went tonight. We knew it was small so decided to go early. We were greeted warmly and quickly. It is decorated just darling - very welcoming. They serve beer and wine - but you can also bring your own wine for a $10 corkage charge. Service was friendly and efficient. We almost ordered too much but our wonderful server told us it was too much and he was right! Grateful as these are great servings. We started with the spring rolls - expecting two but got four. They were delicious. My husband got cashew chicken and I got the duck - both come with delicious jasmine rice. We both LOVED our meal and cleaned our plates. Then we had the Thai donuts. What an incredible finish. We highly recommend this place that has it all. We will be back. A lot!
Dined in on a weekday and had a lovely time! We ordered summer rolls, crab rangoons, tom yum soup with shrimp, chicken larb, and garlic sauce stir fry with chicken. It was all delicious, although the tom yum soup was quite spicy (because we didn't listen to the waiter's warning about the spice levels 😆). Our waiter was very friendly!
I think this may be the best Thai food I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating. Now I've never been to Thailand, but I've eaten at many many Thai restaurants in North America, Europe, etc. and this place just stands out. Not what I was expecting in Victor, NY. But hey, they've got an amazing Indian restaurant here too. Best Thai flavors, food quality, service, friendliness, I've ever experienced. The flavor combinations were just out of this world. The simmer rolls were to die for! Hats off to the chef! Also plenty of delicious and healthy vegan options which was perfect for us. We will definitely keep coming back here. If you like Thai food, stop over here as soon as you can.
We stopped here on the recommendation of a local and were very pleased. The service was very fast, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Neither of us had been to a Thai restaurant before and both of us loved the food. Absolutely delicious. We got green curry ribs and salmon. The next time we're in town on business we will make this our first evening's stop. We ate at 3 additional local restaurants during the week and compared all the others unfavorably to this restaurant. We should have just eaten here every night!
Massaman Chicken Curry was delicious. Thai donuts are a nice sweet treat. Owner / Employees are friendly. Service is outstanding. Received a free Thai coffee while I waited for food I ordered . Will be back! Referred by couple that brought takeout to nearby event.
Food was excellent. Menu was a mix of standard Thai food and more adventurous dishes. Great choices for GF and vegetarian dishes! Portions are realistically sized. Service was amazing. Chef prepared some fried puff pastry for dessert free of charge.
Great food and value for a road trip stop. The server was sweet and we enjoyed the music (iykyk). Less than $100 for 3 people including alcohol and tip. Nice place!
My favorite Thai food around. Tom Kha, tom yum, curry puffs, basil fried rice, Massaman curry, chicken pra ram, larb… everything has been so good! We’ve dined in a few times and they’re always wonderful, especially with children. This was the first time we had takeout and it was every bit as good as dining in.

I was happy with my selection. The owner was a little hard to understand, but he had a really great personality. His heavy accent just made the restaurant more genuine.
Small place. Nothing overly special inside - other than a fireplace in one room and your typical Asian decor. Somewhat small menu, but very, very good food. Decently priced.
I really like the Elephant - Victor, and I'm hoping to change this to 5 stars when they get a few of the kinks worked out! The positives: I'm so excited to have a Thai place in Victor and I'm so glad they do takeout, delivery, and in person! And most of the food is insanely good! The curries, the dumplings, the soups (best thing there probably), all of the proteins (duck and tofu are amazing). The pad Thai is also good, and probably the best I've found in Rochester, although a little oily. The pad see ew is also very good, although a little too sweet for me. The prices are a little higher than I was expecting, but I didn't mind since the food was so good. The main negative thing is that they were out of about half of the items when we went and I totally get that they are working out the kinks as a new business, but it was a little frustrating. I do think they can work out these kinks and since the food is so so good, we will definitely be back!
Nicer atmosphere than some other Thai places. The food was top notch.
Wife had the craving for chicken pad thai, while I had my craving for crispy duck on basil fried rice medium hot spice, mango with sticky rice, Thai siomai with sweet soy sauce, summer rolls with house peanut sauce, to wash it with Thai tea! This place does not disappoint! Ask for Dao, owner and Chef! The spicy food is perfect for winter! Did not order alcohol, but they do serve it!
This place is where Basha was in the village of Victor. Solid food in a small little setting. Pretty diverse menu too. The food we had was good, but nothing spectacular. Good enough to make me want to go back and try more dishes though. Service was on point too. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Go, try the Larb at least, and check out their offerings for yourself.

Picked up take out. Red curry was delicious, pad thai and drunken noodles were dry and tasteless. Really wanted to like this place based on other reviews! Will not be back.
Food was decently authentic and Thai basil was flavorful. Tom yum soup was the sweetest I’ve ever had and would not recommend. Low star review is for the bathroom. It’s a great impression to stock the bathroom with the lowest possible ply grade toilet paper AND paper towels. I expect better accommodations if I am paying $18-30 a meal! Apparently they want you to feel like you are in an institution worse than a jail or public rest stop? If I would have used the bathroom first I would not have ordered a meal, plus it gives a look into the kitchen which did not look very clean.
My wife and I loved the Thai food we had access to in the SF Bay Area. Sadly, the food we had at The Elephant didn't come close to the quality we were used to -- the Green Curry tasted decent but had too much sugar (green curry typically has NO sugar), and the Basil Fried Rice was pretty forgettable. The portions were generous but pretty pricey. The atmosphere left a lot to be desired, too, especially because the restaurant is on Victor's main street with a constant stream of traffic. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Something has changed here. The food was amazing when they opened. It seems the biggest issue is consistency. Twice now I have ordered and the food had no taste, very oily and barely any flavor. Not sure what happened, new chef, new owners. Bring the old chef back.
Though our waiter was very nice and the service was fast. Sadly, the food was practically inedible. I ordered shrimp pad thai. The shrimp were very undercooked and still cold and the noodles were greasy. My husband ordered the Thai Basil and it was just tasted like ground chicken with no seasoning. We also ordered the calamari which was tough and had way too much sauce on it.

I wish I could give a review, but after driving an hour and a half to meet my daughter for lunch, we arrived at 215 and were met with glares. Apparently, the hours had recently changed and no one bothered to update the website. They were closing at 230. She made THAT point several times, so we left. No option for take out was extended. Probably won't be back there. Graciousness goes along way, as does word of mouth.
I ordered for pick up, THAI Fried rice with chicken, I got a small amount, a lot of rice not tasty at all, and just a little bit of chicken for $25. You do not expect that for a plate of 25 dollars.
Horrible portions for takeout. Worse I have seen in years. Very average noodle dish. Nothing special, choose otherwise. Four small pieces of tofu for a dish which costs pennies is embarrassing!
Some of the appetizers were cold. I overheard a customer say that their appetizer was frozen. One meals was bland so we asked for salt. They brought out a salt grinder, which was empty. Their "spicy" wasn't hot at all. The only thing that was good was the tom young ramen. Everything was overpriced. There was a "service fee". I'll give them one more chance since they are kinda new but my hopes aren't high. Tried it a second time. Had to downgrade it to a single star. Crab ragoon without any crab. 4 pieces for 9 bucks. And a 1.75 "convenience fee"!?
Underwhelming. I am half thai, and I grew up and lived in Thailand. I was really excited to get a taste of home so I ordered the tom yam, som tam, mango sticky rice and it was sub par. The flavours were not there, all food was watered down by what I assume is for the local clientelle. Sticky Rice was not thoroughly cooked, not enough cream sauce. Mango was uncooked. Tom yam was actually tom kha, and barely any veggies in there. Only 2 prawns. The som tam has cabbage which is non traditional, and no flavour. This was an uber eats order but it told me enough not to go there.
Not a good experience. Red snapper was old and overcooked. Shrimp fried rice was bland and the sweet rice with mango left much to be desired. The sweet rice was way too chewy and the mango wasn't ripe. On top of that, a young couple that came in after us (my wife and I are seniors) got they're food before we did and all of the waiters attention. We will NOT be returning
The food was tasteless… across our party of 8. I had drunken noodles… the scant number of noodles were gummy and mushy, the sauce was too thick, no spice no Thai flavor, I could only eat a couple of bites. Stop taking people’s money for bad food that can hardly be considered Thai!
The restaurant was ice cold, server was wearing a winter coat, very friendly and attentive otherwise. We ordered appetizers, still partially frozen. Our meal was devoid of flavor or spice, and of note the plate / food seemed oily. Will not be back. Sad.
