pulperia Vilalba Reviews
Very friendly and fast service. We ordered ham croquettes and two portions of grilled steak with potatoes for four people, and the food was fantastic. The customer service was excellent. They even recommended the portion sizes without trying to oversell us. The only downside was that they don't have lactose-free milk or plant-based milk available these days.
You have to wait your turn, but the manager keeps a close eye on the order. They said there was an hour's wait, and I already suspected that was a way to select customers who appreciate good food, since in the end it was barely 30 minutes. The service is good. Good food and good service. Galician-style octopus and pork churrasco for two, more than enough. To drink, with the octopus, she had a fruitier white Costeira wine, and he had a more intense Godello. He had a Mencía red wine with the ribs. Fantastic, and thank you.
We arrived late and ate in front of our apartment, and we loved it. The octopus was delicious. I ordered the churrasco, and in Seville, churrasco is something else. These are ribs for me, but they're delicious, so I didn't mind in the slightest. The kids ordered a sandwich, which they loved. Everything was delicious, and we'll definitely have another one before we leave.
Great place great price 👍
Great food, staff and views of the bay. Lovely village, will definitely go again 👌👍
Salad and Churrasco was good.
We ate Galician-style octopus, grilled meat, and a cheese board at this bar. The waiter recommended a few adaptations, and while it's not common in Malaga, it seems to be the norm at this restaurant. They're small details, but strange nonetheless. With the Galician-style octopus, he asked if we wanted it with boiled potatoes, which we thought were included since they've come with it before when we've ordered it in Galicia. Here, they charge extra for potatoes. Something similar happened with the cheese; we were debating which portion to order, and he said he'd give us one portion with both cheeses, but then he charged us for two halves… The food was tasty.
A popular grill bar. While we were sitting down to lunch at least twenty people came in a got a takeaway of grilled meat and sausages with chips. This is a good, simple, no frills, short-order restaurant and bar, nothing wrong with that at all. My ribs were tasty as was my husbands burger filled with lots of bacon. I had salad instead of chips and we were given bread and a generous gravy boat of sauce, not too hot. Fair prices and lots of local colour.
A good place to grab a quick dinner, with pain but well done dishes.
Really good local food. Cozy warm relaxed bar atmosphere. Very good service, attention. Very accommodating with half portions. The best pulpo al feira we have had in Galicia. Fantastic bread, salad, wine selection and ribs. All highly recommended.
Spanish pueblo bar First waiter was rush with us the other one was pretty cool Even if the octopus was good The place was pretty expensive and nothing special, nothing made the difference Example a simple cooked potatoes cut in four, (we were 4 ppl) 3€
Served food quickly and at a low price, but also at a low quality. Figured that we would try given the good reviews. The pulpo was just okay. The patatas were good. The ensalada was relatively good. However, despite bringing itself as a hamburgeseria, the hamburgesa especial was nearly inedible mostly because there was more ham than burger, and the ham was of a very low quality.
Update your bloody opening times in Google maps. We arrive around 17:00, google says Open until 23:00, 15 minutes of my life I will never get back...
I entered the place (15:58) and a man in a state of hysteria who was brooming the floor, started yelling at me. Apparently the kitchen closes at 16:00 (as most places in Spain) however the opening hours of this one specify 10:30 to 23:00 hours. I did not want to explore more the option. As other man with red chicks and alcoholic resemblance was popping out of the kitchen looking at us. What a hole of rednecks…
Do not go here. They are rude to peregrinos and told me to go eat somewhere else...
