Tibet Corner Walden Reviews
This place truly feels like stepping into a family home for a warm meal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and comforting, and the owners’ hospitality made the experience even more special. Our family ordered the momo, chowmein, shapta, and butter tea, and everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish had such an authentic, nostalgic taste that made the meal feel even more memorable. I only wish we lived closer because this would definitely become a regular spot for us. Highly recommended!
Ordered way too much to try it all, and OH MY GOSH it was delicious. Everything. The dumplings, the soup, the fried rice. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. I can’t wait to come back over and over again. Not to mention all the fun things you can buy. So excited to have this in Walden. New favorite spot for sure.
We stopped at Tibet Corner randomly for lunch while driving in the area. It was so utterly charming, the food was sooo good, and the owners were so wonderful that I haven’t forgotten and I’m writing this review 3 weeks later when I finally have a bit of time. Living in NYC, we get to eat at all kinds of great restaurants. Never expected to find a restaurant that far surpasses most places in NYC - in upstate NY. Everything we ate was excellent - and we ordered a bunch of dishes (forgot to take photos of everything). The chicken Shapta tingmo was the best. I’m still dreaming of it weeks later. The Puri was different and really good. It went well with Daal. The ginger tea was perfect - milky black tea with just the right amount of sweetness, infused with fresh ginger. The restaurant space itself was bright, airy, and calm. I loved the prayer flags outside, and the cute store area in one side of the space that had Tibetan things like prayer bowls, etc. The owners were absolutely lovely as well. It was a total delight stopping at Tibet Corner. I just wish it was close by and I could eat there regularly. I want to go visit the area just to eat at Tibet Corner.
We absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing we had several things and they were all so good. Our favorite was the Sha Baley it was delicious!! The staff were very kind and friendly just a great place all the way around. Highly highly recommend!
Great place, excellent food, friendly people. Fried rice is unique and awesome, Momo dumplings are also great. It's like Chinese food but a lot better and less greasy if you need a point of reference. I forgot to take pics of the lovely presentation when the food came out, so I've added some half eaten shots.
Delicious food, friendly owners and a funky store! What a great place! We will be back.
So my mom and I tried Tibet Corner today and it was our first time trying Tibetan Food ever. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with kind staff and a calming atmosphere! We got all of the teas and mango lassi! My Mom and I’s favorite tea was the ginger milk tea with sugar. We also tried the butter tea and it was very savory (almost like a soup broth; don’t put sugar in this tea) and while it was different than what I was used to, I enjoyed it. We also tried the Beef Momo and took the fried rice and Then-thuk to go! We also tried all of the sauces with the momo and I enjoyed the spicy chili sauce/soy sauce and my mom liked the mint sauce. If you want to know what food it’s similar to, Tibetan Food tastes very similar to Chinese food with Indian influences (which makes sense geographically). It was really cool to experience the beauty of diversity by learning about Tibetan culture from the staff and try delicious dishes. You felt like you were walking into a grandmother’s house and it was extremely comforting! Would 100% recommend and my mom and I will be back! 🤩
We loved the food and my husband was extremely happy. The staff is really kind and attentive.
A great hidden gem! The food was so good, definitely made with love.

Ordered for takeout. Stopped by to pick up, owners were super friendly and told me a lot about Tibetan food as it was my first time having. I got chicken and veggie momos, their Gyatuk (noodle soup) and a butter tea to drink. All was phenomenal and came with amazing sauces (my favorite was the green one)! Definitely worth a visit and will definitely go back soon and order more things on the menu to try.
We had such a wonderful lunch here. The food was absolutely delicious, and the place itself is small, cozy and full of charm. The two lovely ladies working there were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. after we finished our meal and we’re almost in the car, one of the ladies ran after us because I had forgotten my bag. Such honesty and kindness are truly rare and appreciated. We love this place and I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area
My girlfriend and I’s First time having Tibetan food and we loved it. Very charming hole in the wall with very kind attentive staff. Food was excellent I would recommend anyone in the area to go.
Love love love this place! The food is comforting. The owners are kind. Everything about Tibet Corner is welcoming and hospitable. Always look forward to eating here and plan on stopping by tonight!
We happened upon this restaurant while driving through Walden. The owners are so welcoming and easily accommodated my vegan diet. Food was great, they even have a small gift shop corner with really lovely items. Wishing these wonderful people continued success!
The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. They have a cute little shop with jewelry and clothing. The beef momos are always delicious along with the three sauces they provide. I want to try other things on the menu next time I go! I will definitely keep going back.☺️☺️
These folks are warm and welcoming, happy to share their culture, and serve delicious food at reasonable prices. They were happy to share with my 6yo son about Tibet. Lots of gems, singing bowls, instruments and figurines in a in-restaurant shop with a relaxing couch to keep a 6yo interested. My kid loved the whole experience. Cannot recommend enough and will be back despite the drive.
Absolutely delicious :) I walked in with my husband and we ordered the chicken curry and a chicken dish with onions and peppers. The food and customer service were on point! They bring out hot green tea while you're waiting on your meal :) I will definitely come back here.
We were looking for a place to eat and ended up at Tibet Corner—so glad we did. We ordered the chicken chow mein and milk tea, and it was delicious from the first bite to the last. It was so good we had to come back and order it again, this time with a flavored lemonade. Still just as good. The people are super kind, and the food is really, really good. If you haven’t been yet, definitely check it out!

Ordered a variety of momo’s (beef, chicken, vegetable) and they were amazing. I loved the red sauce that came w them, it was garlicky and had a slight kick to it. Also ordered the beef sha baley which was also delicious. Reminded me of an empanada, Tibetan style. The place is small with limited seating, but excellent for takeout. Cute little shop with Tibetan things for sale and a bucket of sidewalk chalk outside for kids to use right outside their door. I will definitely be eating here again.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Tibetan food made with love in a peaceful space. You can just feel it…the flavors were filled with soul. I cannot wait to come back!! Everything we tried was amazing, but the Chow Mein with cilantro mint sauce was 1000/10
We already live a busy life and the last thing you want is some good food in your belly- Stop by this corner and you won't be disappointed. Your heart will be full, and your belly will be happy for rest of the day. You can taste the care and love in each bite and the service and owners are as sweet (perfect amount of sweetness) as the Mango lassi.
Great vibes! Great food!!! But the hospitality by the owners was the best! They’re so cute and sweet. 🥹
