Whataburger is a national treasure and I wish they were further up the country since we moved out of NM and TX to MN. Food was just how I remember, great burger and fries. Although ice machine was out
Food was delicious and fresh, one of the best whataburgers I've been to in a long time in regards to the quality of taste.
Ordered to go meals for family members this visit. Drive thru experience was quick considering we were right at dinner time. (Remember they don't start cooking until you order ) Family member said his order still tasted like Texas food. That's a wonderful compliment! Whataburger, please don't change any of the original menu or the way it's prepared.
It's what you'd expect. The hamburger bun is especially tasty, it's not a whole grain bun but it is good. Their onion rings are made with chopped onions rather than sliced. That's not a negative, they are good. Get a milk shake made with real malt. Their iced tea is pretty good. It's made fresh every four hours. Fried pies are available.
We had never been before, decided to try. The employees were friendly and brought our food to out table when ready. Food was hot, looked and tasted good. Burgers were big and the order of fries was too. Restaurant clean and so were the bathrooms.
We come here pretty often, I work late and it's usually about the only thing open. The food is always amazing, it always brightens my night a little when I believe her name is Cassidy, (she's got blue hair ) is running the drive through because she is always super friendly and nice! Top tier customer service. ☺️ Great food and friendly employees!

This experience was good! My burger with no meat, no onions was exactly as I ordered it. The temperature was better than I expected it to be. The pleasure the cashier displayed to assist me was welcoming. The store was clean inside and outside.
Onions rings were large and tasted fantastic. Also tried the new Mexican hot chocolate flavored shake. It did not disappoint.
Quick stop for breakfast. Friendly cashier fast service and the quality was exactly what I want from Whataburger. Shout out to the pink haired girl for fast service and amazing hair.
Place was crazy busy, tons of people in the drive through and tons of people in the lobby waiting for their food. There was no way on earth that we were going to get our quickly just due to the sheer number of people ordering. Despite the throng of customers, the staff was friendly, helpful, and stayed in good spirits. It made the wait very pleasant, and my burger was carefully assembled to boot. Great staff, great management, tasty burger. Hats off to this crew!

I go to Whataburger for a meal no matter where I am. Stopped here today on my way through and got the best burger I have had in a long time. Fries were hot with just the right amount of salt and the shake was amazing. The woman at the drive thru was super nice and helpful.
I went there tired after a funeral and an almost three hour drive. My order was wrong in several ways. I got some fixed there and then called about it because I was too tired to return for my stuff. Ebony told me I could come back today, which I did. The counter lady was SO nice and the manager gave me two meals. They went above and beyond with pleasure and no attitude at all. ♥️
I'm not much of a fast food eater. But it's a clean Whataburger it's what you expect when you come to a Whataburger everything is the way it is but there's one thing in particular that I love to come here and get and the manager has no problem making it for me. What I do is I tell him I want double malted strawberry shake and then I want them to holler out the middle of it a little bit and just squared in some chocolate syrup down the middle and not stir it. Oh man that makes for a lovely strawberry malt to taste like a very rich chocolate covered strawberry. Just kind of float your straw up and down from the bottom to the top just to get the different flavors Don't stir it up. And you're going to love it. Don't forget to ask for double malt :-)

It’s Whataburger nothing more needs to be said! Jk eat healthier today and had the cob salad with a large glass of tea. The salad was wonderful with fresh lettuce tomatoes eggs and other veggies! Topped off with a grilled chicken breast. The meal was quite large and actually will make two meals (will have the other half for lunch tomorrow). The staff was friendly and willing to serve you and the store was clean!
Love Whataburger. Nice spot off the hwy, small area in parking spaces, traffic flow depends on time you go. Parking available but not a lot of it. Building capacity is 38 so it is on the small side but service is great.
We were traveling through town and stopped here for a quick breakfast . We were greeted with a “good morning “ and smiles . The employees knew other customers in the restaurant and hearing the conversations they had was a very comfy at home feeling . The Dr.Pepper fountain in the lobby was out of order so a young lady took my cup to the back and filled it up. The manager immediately came to change the bag . The store was also very clean! Would definitely recommend .

If you are familiar with Whataburger, this location meets the best standards for what you expect in a Whataburger. The lettuce and tomato are cool, crisp and fresh. The temperature of the meat and bun are right on target. For those who aren't familiar with Whataburger, the size of the burger is Texas sized and the bun is not light and fluffy but is a little more dense and can be drier than other buns. This dude not bother me, but it did better my sister's when they came to visit. They standard burger comes with onions, mustard pickles, lettuce and tomato. If you prefer mayo or ketchup instead of mustard, go ahead and ask. Staff makes burgers any way you like then. Staff are excellent at making accommodations to burgers "any way you like it" accurately. While ordering through the drive thru, the speaker is clear and easy to hear. Make sure that you leave enough time in your schedule because the service is a little slow, but the customer service and quality of food is worth the wait.

It was delicious! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and substituted the drink for a large chocolate shake. Wow, just wow. The only bad thing was that I forgot to ask for napkins!!! But to be honest, they should have put napkins in the bag, other than that, everything was just fine.

When traveling Whataburger is the best ever ! Our favorite is a BOB with eggs sausage , cheese and bacon. Reasonably priced. Will always love Whataburger!

Whataburger is a treasure here in Texas. This location was top notch. Quick, easy interactions with the staff, timely delivery, and great food. After a good experience at Whataburger, it makes every visit feel special. (Also had one of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a fast food place)
Service was very efficient. The bigger was great!!! The fries were delicious... yummo!!! I like that it looks different. Kinda like a space ship...lol. I think the tables and floor could have been wiped and swept a bit though.
My family loves to eat here. I usually use the drive through because the dining area is pretty small. Sometimes I'm missing fries or they forget to add something that I asked for. Other than that great service and awesome food. Prices aren't bad either.
I go a few times a month. The food will take 20 minutes easy if there's a car before you. One lady I think is a manager is lovely and so are a couple of the other girls. Ask for fresh biscuits unless you don't mind em hard.
95% of the time I go around 3 am so this review is for overnight shift. The females are usually pretty nice and my order always comes to me correct. The tea is really inconsistent for the worse, and no matter what I order, the drive through takes 20+ minutes everytime.

The food was off the chain nice and hot and best onion rings ever was a little slow on getting my order made and they forgot hash browns and pancakes but everything was made fresh and juicy like I like my food to always be
I love the Diner vibe design of This Whataburger! It looks really nice. Service was VERY SLOW inside though. Looked like they were prioritizing drive thru, which I understand. My onion rings tasted great, but there were very few of them in the box. Same with the fries, and the fries weren't nearly as hot as the onion rings. My guess is the fries were bagged and sitting out waiting for the onion rings to cook. Also, my salad dressing is missing and I'm somehow supposed to eat my salad with only a knife...
We came in on the 75 cents Whataburger marking the 75th year anniversary. It was super busy but staff were professional, friendly, and had a good syste down to get the food out in a timely manner.
My wife and I were passing through and needed a restroom. The parking was readily available. The restrooms accessible, clean, spacious and unoccupied. The lobby was clean. The burgers were great. All the vegetable condiments were fresh, crisp and generously proportioned. 35 minutes later, we were on the road again.
Go go to this location at least once a week. If you go through the drive thru be sure to check your order before you drive off. They only get the order right 25% of the time . Food is great, average deliver time . Restrooms are usually clean. Staff is friendly and helpful .
Dirty inside, all trash cans where full I had to put my tray "wich had all my order on it, that I was currently done with" on top of the trash can were you are supose to put your empty used tray at, on top of the overfilled trash can and along the window seating area were dead Flys or bugs.. they had about 8 people on shift, wich was significantly enough people on shift.. considering it would take 1 person to take out trash about 15 min to do outside and inside trash! The food was excellent tho!
Not one time has any cashier listened to me say no mustard add mayo. Also I don't understand why they put the new self service order screens in the lobbies if they don't intend to turn them on. The only time I have received the correct order is when I have personally ordered from those screens. I guess it was just another way to say that their keeping up with technology, but the non use is disturbing to me
No matter if u place a mobile order or go through the drive thru expect to wait 20-30 to go through the whole process. The point of a mobile order is for the food the be ready when u check in...but nope I always mobile order and wait 12-15 for my order for curbside, not to mention the food is warm but obviously whataburger in general is good and that's why I continue to order here. If Service and having food HOT is a must, don't have high hopes for that at this location.
The employees were standing around gossiping and talking about inappropriate things in front of customers. When it was time for me to order one of the employees stopped me from ordering so he could ask the person helping me about some gossip. Very unprofessional, it seemed like none of the employees have been shown by management how to behave in front of guests
Normally its really good but today the young girl taking my order was in to much of a hurry to get me out of her face I had to make three spread transactions because she didn't ask if that complete my order she just total it. I know everyone has to start somewhere but if your dealing with customer you have to be willing to listen and be friendly.
So we'll start off with the bad you will almost never get the correct order come out if you order a complicated or more than one meal. Wait times can be absolutely dreadful at times too but the food is almost always delicious and you'll never get less fries or onion rings than you paid for
I only gave him three stars because it depends on what time of day you go that can determine how good your food's going to be. Meaning how fresh you're going to get it or if your order is going to be correct or how nice the people are going to be. To be honest I only go here when I really want Whataburger and it's a small town so there's not much around unless you want to drive 20 to 30 minutes somewhere else.
To be honest I feel they are way over priced for their food. I ordered a kids meal and a regular burger with fries and a chocolate Shake small and it was 17.00 and some change. The kids meal burger only had mustard and pickles and was very dry. I feel they need to add ketchup to it. The lettuce on the other was a bit wilty. And it was lukewarm at best and the kids burger was completely cold. I feel you could go to a lot more places and get hot food and have a better fast food meal for comparable or less .
Once a favorite, but not this time. Order wasn't right, food was okay. The employee who brought out food made me get up out of my chair to reach the tray. Won't be back. New employees I guess.
They have a weird way of doing things if you order on the app you can't use the drive thru but curbside is a minimum of 30-45 mins no matter the size of the order and walking in to the place and waiting at the counter isn't the best option either. There are so many people waiting all the time and it's a small place so healthy distance between people is not a thing here. Service truly varies on what staff is there, some are nice and quick to help and others ignore or just show they don't care right to your face as you are ordering.
Drive thru customer service is lacking. We waited over 5 minutes for our order. At the pick-up window, we sat awhile and nobody greeted us to let us know our order was coming. Once our order finally came, the cashier did confirm the name of our order, but did not offer any condiments. We sat at the window until she came back so we could request our condiments. When we went to eat our meal, there were no utensils, and part of our order required them to eat.
Whataburger's food NEVER disappoints but, their service definitely does. I'm on a Door Dash team, with my mom, & we frequent this place several times per week. Over the course of a few months, there have been many times where I would stand at the register, while workers would walk by or not even a simple hello, we'll be right with you. We must remember, customer service is key when engaging with the public. If you are incapable of a simple hello, a customer service job is NOT for you.
What happened to this location it has gone on a downfall ordered and waited 10 mins had received a drink but no food the Lockhart sonic is worse than here but at least the service is fast fix your problems whataburger 10 mins is to long especially if the order was just sitting on a counter getting cold.the management was nice but the having to wait 10 mins for food is ridiculous could have gone to sonic and got it in less than 10 mins fix it whataburger the burger was good but the fries were not as great but some really good tea fix it
This was the worst managed whataburger I've been to. Poor service, dirty tables, no napkins, never again.
They didn’t have change for $100 on our $38 bill. Our drinks were dripping wet when they handed them to us in our brand new car. Then, they left the cookie out of my 6 year old’s kids meal. Thanks for the great 3 hour drive to Dallas, Whataburger - there’s nothing like listening to a kid cry about not having a cookie that they wouldn’t have missed if you hadn’t asked what kind he wanted and then left it out of the box. At least the food you didn’t forget tasted good.

Person behind the counter that took our order was outstanding.After that things went down hill. No tea, when tea came out unsweetened tea, in the sweet tea container, No lids for large drinks.. They were very busy in the drive through so we went inside. There was a man ahead of us waiting for his order and the guy that was putting his order together dropped it on the floor scooped it up and kept on going... Wow. My son let him know and we watched our order close and we also let that customer know. They had many apologies, no new Hamburger, and when it was all said and done the order was still incomplete.
It takes a lot for me to give a bad review, but I have never experienced service as slow as this restaurant. I am currently sitting in the drive through line waiting for food, been here for 30 minutes. There were just two cars ahead of me when I got here. I ordered four breakfast sandwiches. This is typical, and will be my last visit.
Took 20 mins to get our food in the drive thru after we ordered, got the total wrong order, another 10 mins, left and they got our burger orders all wrong anyways. Will not be back to this location.
Simple order messed up and I still paid full price. Ordered 3 meat patties, 3 pieces of cheese and an unsweetened tea (no bun, nothing extra). I received 1 warm burger patty and 3 cold pieces of cheese, but still paid the $12 for my order. Was in a rush, so I had no time to turn back around when I was already a few miles down the road. How hard was my order? 3 meat, 3 cheese and a drink. Order number: 525852
No $2 double meat burgers even though they're posted all over every menu, no pico bruger even though San Marcos and Bastrop has them. And the radio advertises them constantly, orders are rarely correct and will always take more time than is expected.
Surprisingly terrible. Went through drive-thru on the long drive home from airport. We chose chicken strips and fries so I could munch while driving. They bagged our food, then said they needed to make gravy. It took quite a while. The chicken strips were cold, tough and dried up. Could not finish even one and I was really hungry. French fries were slightly warm. Total waste of over $20 and all that time. I normally like Whataburger and chose it over the McDonald's nearby.
Placed my order on the mobile app and ugh still messed up my order curb side. Ordered a salad for my mother a chicken tender basket which normally do not like but I ordered them with additional piece or one more chicken strip with large fry and large sweet tea. When I get home no extra chicken strip, no gravy dried up piece of toast and my large sweet tea is mixed with nasty coffee grinds inside the cup for taste. Was complete garbage and this location for burgers omg! Is completely disgusting I don't know why I bother?? Excuse is they have new employees. Common sense stuff but Noone gets it anymore... yikes! I mean other locations have new employees and they still manage to have common sense to get the order together. Definite miss for sure!!!!
I had a hard time dining here due to the large number of flies inside the eating area. I lost my appetite fighting off the flies from getting to my food. Also the fries were rubbery despite the fact they had just came out. The only bright spot was the cheese burger was hot and tasted fresh. I will not ever eat inside this fly infested Whataburger ever again.
Ordered salad with extra chicken didn't get extra, but I did get spicy chicken. Husband's burger requested extra cheese didn't get any at all. Kids chicken basket was ok had ranch in 1 and gravy in the other. Geesh!!
Went through drive thru backdoor open but no one took our order. Drove around again and saw employee on phone and heard them laughing when went around backdoor again
Curbside at this location and basically all other Whataburger locations has deteriorated to basically nothing. Order usually take 20+ minutes, much longer than the 10-12 minute time in the app. That is an issue across all locations. In one case I had to wait around 35 minutes for them to bring my order out. My specific problem with this location was that an employee brought my order out 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. He did not have a drink when the order clearly had a drink on it. I asked him if it had a drink and he said no it does not and once I looked at the receipt down the road it did in fact have a drink listed.
This place is the worst. They prioritize there drive thru more then the counter. They are horrible cooks. Half cooked bacon, mistakes that cause for replacements only to covered like it wouldn’t be noticed. And top it off they took 45 min for 2 meals that should only take 15-20 min no matter how busy it is. Whataburger is a place that used to hold value to there products. Here as of late most places are like here full of lazy employees that don’t care for the job. Will not be returning. This place should be shut down.
Pros: shakes taste good. 1 star is literally only for the shakes. Cons: I watched a full Futurama episode while waiting in the Drive thru line. McDonald's ice cream/shake machine is more reliable than here. You'll likely need a microwave to re-heat your food, as it will almost certainly be cold, lukewarm at best, by the time you get it. Doesn't matter if you pre-order for drive thru pickup on the app, you will be made to wait behind everyone else in line, even if lane 2 is open. Guaranteed to make your fries soggy and further your progress on your favorite Netflix series while waiting.
SERVICE IS AWFUL. If you like not being treated or greeted like a human, then go ahead. Indulge. I walked inside and after 5 employees being inside, no one spoke. No one. As if I was invisible. Never again.
I don't normally post reviews but I was so disappointed by the quality at this Whataburger I'm posting this in hope that the area manager will see this. First visit and there sweet tea was terrible, but the food was ok but not great. Second time coming back and the meat was dry like it had been sitting for hours, they didn't make my burger the way I asked, the only part of the burger they got right was putting cheese on it. This time they had no sweet tea in the lobby so I asked for some. Again the sweet tea was hardly sweet, no where near as good as other Whataburger locations. This location is a MAJOR disappointment compared to other locations. Never stopping here again, next time I'll wait tlll I get to San Marcos to get some good real Whataburger. This location sucks.
2nd time at a Whataburger, 2 different states - cannot get my order right. Tonight was worse. Cheeseburger no pickles - came loaded with pickles. The burger was cold. They mixed fries for onion rings. Drink was wrong. Had to order without a menu to start with as she came back to my car. Waited forever Disaster. I’d rather go to McDonald

I’m going to start with I absolutely love Whataburger, as I grew up just minutes away from the original. But this one, by far is the WORST one I’ve ever come across! They are slow, sloppy and quite frankly, lackadaisical in their execution of providing adequate service and product. If I didn’t have to drive 30 minutes to go to another location I wouldn’t even look this one’s way, but I have to, so I do. I’ve tried every method, Walk-In, Drive Thru, the app and every way is just as slow as the other. I’ve even allowed for 10-15 extra minutes AFTER the estimated completion time on the app, and still had to wait another 15!! Just for my food to come out cold. The cheese hasn’t even melted!! Something needs to be done about this location, new management, new personnel, something. Because it’s clear that every employee here is critically misinformed on what good service is! Get it together Whataburger!!!
They take a long time and the food is always cold
I worked for whataburger for several years. I believe in their products. We just went through this one and ordered some food on our way to the coast. If we weren’t in time constraints, I would go back. This food is inedible. The fries are old and obviously reheated. So gross. My meat was dry and cold also. I know it’s Friday night, but this is the best way to lose business. I asked for grilled onions also, and they just didn’t put any on my burger.we had to ask twice for ketchup and salt, and we still didn’t get the salt. Waste of money.
Coffee nasty and stuff floating in coffee and the taquito was greasy gross . when we came in and asked for the special nobody knew what we were talking about until the manager came in . Not many choices to order and the way they talk like they didn't care they had customers.
All our food was cold. I ordered onion rings and got cold fries. Did not realize until we got home and did not want to drive back up there. I remember when I worked at an Whataburger when I was in high school someone always checked the order before giving it to the customer. I hope things change. We will not be returning to the restaurant.
I was reading the menu a bit away from the counter and the associate didn't even acknowledge my presence, once I approached the counter closer ready to order she passed by with something on her hand i guess for another customer as she returned she stood looking over me I don't know what - i asked her if there was somebody else to take orders without looking at me she said ?"I'm here" I didn't lose my cool since I noticed there were no personnel but her! I didn't want to have spit on my food! When I got my order i had to ask for ketchup - their basket was almost empty took the last 2 ketchups and 3 napkins when I got home the meal was missing straws, the gravy for the tenders and the cheese in my burger 😡😡😡😡😡it was not worth it! Bad employee...
Patiently waited for 27 minutes to receive my food. Everyone, yes literally everyone, that had ordered after me had gotten their food, eaten it, and left. I finally spoke up. Had my food in the next couple of minutes. While they were consistently busy, there was no excuse for that long of a wait time. Other than that, the food was hot, fresh, and tasted good. After such a long wait I was expecting it to be stale but none of it was. Seems they must have just looked it over...
Did curbside because i was excited about new Western burger...after waiting 20 mins past expected delivery time, i went in , waited in line, and intercepted my order as they were bringing it outside. I mentioned how late they were and the worker just glared at me. I got it home and found they forgot my fries! Normally i check, but i was in a hurry....i called the manager and she offered me to come back in future for a free meal.
A couple of times I bought a potato and egg taquito without cheese. Then they would charge me the price for a taquito with cheese which in past cost approximately 50 cents more. I questioned the cashier and he said he could only charge me the cheese price. That is how the register is programmed. Then today I ordered a taquito breakfast meal. The menu said $5.99, when the cashier rand it up the price came to 6.99. I commented that there should not be that much sales tax on $5.99. Then they went on to tell me that without the tax it was $6.37 without tax. Then I questioned why does the menu say $5.99. The clerk replied with a I don't care attitude. These guys are scammers deceiving the public. People beware, they are a RIP off.
We were traveling through and since we love 🍔, we decided to stop and eat. The cashier ( name on my reciept), was Rude, inpatient and hair all over!! Nasty looking. If you don't like your job, do the public a favor and quit! Burgers were not even warm and rhe fries very greesy! We won't stop there again!!!

Simple order at 9 Am and the cashier inside could not get it right and was trying to charge me to get it right. I had to repeat myself so many times just for her to understand and hear the order.
So I accidentally walked into the male bathroom which it really shouldn't matter because they're one stall each for both bathrooms but you can obviously tell does this Whataburger is ran unfortunately by a Bachelor because that bathroom was disgusting it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in probably a couple of days there were pee stains all over the toilet seat. it's definitely unsanitary and I feel bad for any male that actually uses that bathroom. Now when I switched bathrooms to the woman stall you could clearly tell that this bathroom was cared for. This reason alone is why I just walked out because I will not eat at a Whataburger I can't clean both bathrooms equally
Worst experience at a whataburger, got the patty melt and the whole sandwich was dry with barely any sauce. Asked for sliced jalapeños and wasn’t given on my sandwich. Would rather choose a run down McDonald’s or in-n-out over this location again
I've gave this location three chances. Each separate visit they git the food wrong. I ask for bacon I get none. I ask for a pie I get none. I don't know if it's the order taker hiding in the second window who can't hear or correctly push the buttons on the screen or the person making the food who can't correctly make the food but I've no longer want to return to this location. I'll go to kyle or Bastrop or maybe the Wendy's across the street. They remember to add bacon or put the pie in the bag. Either way y'all failed not once not twice but three times and now y'all are out.
It was busy but that didn't stop them from putting the 'new guy' on the front register... all alone. The line was literally to the door. The coffee was cold! The biscuits were raw in the middle and the eggs like rubber. Let's face it, since Whataburger sold out to that Chicago-based company it just hasn't been the same.
I cannot give a better review if you cannot get my order correct. This is not a one time occurrence. It is every single time I order for my family on the app. There is only 4 of us, its not a huge order... EVERY SINGLE TIME! It is very clear that excellence is not on the menu at Whataburger in Lockhart.
Usually Never Have A Problem There But I Just Ordered this Morning And This Is What I Was Served: SOAKING WET Breakfast Sandwich 🥪 ,Not Only Did My Sandwich Look Like This But My Daughters Did As Well…. And Hard Clumped Together Hashbrown Sticks That We’re Non Edible …. Im not Even The Type To Complain But Yea ONCE AGAIN NOTHING WAS ATE OR TOUCHED REALLY .. This Is How My Food Looked When I Opened It Up.!!!
