La Fiesta Brava Waterloo Reviews
Tasty food at this Mexican restaurant! All of our food came out hot and fast! The service was very friendly and they were attentive to our drinks. Sometimes chips fall flat or are stale but their chips and salsa tasted fresh! The burrito was sizeable and filled with allot of meat!
What a gem! I was duly impressed by this Mexican restaurant. The decor was not overdone but I enjoyed the colorful accents. The waitstaff was attentive but not pushy and our drinks were always full. The free chips and salsa was amazing (loved, loved, loved it). The picture does not do it justice but I had a fajita salad with rice and beans and I had to take over half with me (generous portions) and I filled up on salsa and chips. The rest of the table enjoyed their meals too. My partner had a shrimp dish (huge portion) that came with beans, rice, tortillas, etc. If you leave hungry it's your fault. I would definitely seek out this restaurant again. Reasonably priced. Huge portions. Fresh food. Wonderful meal.
By first the best Mexican food. It was authentic and the servers were very welcoming. They spiced up the food as per our request. Loved the fact that it was not too crowded and my 10 month old toddler felt comfortable and he too enjoyed the rice and the beans. A million times would return here and recommend the place to my friends.
At first glance, La Fiesta Brava might not look like much — the inside is a little dusty and could definitely use a refresh. But don’t let that fool you. The food here is absolutely great. Everything came out super fast and was fresh and delicious. The service was just okay; the server didn’t speak much English, which made communication a little tricky, but he was polite and got the job done. Overall, the quality of the food easily made up for any minor issues. I would definitely go back!
08 Oct 2022: solo dinner. I was greeted with nachos and salsa upon arrival( complementary). Ordered ultimate margarita to get started, delicious and strong. Great combo, enjoyed it for some time, appreciated the decor, not super fancy, but felt good about the family kinda vibe there. Ordered Potatoes and spinach burritos. Potato burrito was awesome, spinach was good. Saved potato burrito for next day. Pleasant experience. $36 total. Recommendation: good place for dining in!
Pretty standard Mexican food, but definitely adapted to an American palette. House made salsa is good, though a bit mild. Relatively inexpensive. Service was great. Very fast and very attentive. Overall, a great value for the price. If you're in the area, I'd wholeheartedly recommend stopping in for a meal.
Traveling through the area. First time here. Very quick service. But, nothing special. Ordered the Enchiladas Supreme, which is a sampler of four or five different enchiladas. Beef and chicken had zero flavor. It was as if it had simply been boiled in water. Beef appeared to be similar to a pot roast texture, which leads me to believe that perhaps it was a pre-made product. Chicken was chewy, tasteless, and still had significant portions of fat attached. Beans and rice were fantastic, but microwaved. Decent Mexican food, but nothing to write home about. If back in the area, would not return. Interestingly enough, the place was busy, so maybe it's preferred by locals. However, as someone who has experienced true, authentic Mexican food, this place is quite a ways off the mark. Not bad. Not good. Right in the middle. Three stars.
The food was good but the 2 servers must have come by our table at least 5 times to see if we wanted anything. I found it quite annoying. I ordered a medium margherita and this is whar I got. It was a 32 oz mug. It was very bitter. I didn't drink much of it I would do takeout in the future but not eat in
One star across the board. After a long Day of cutting and stacking fire wood I wanted to treat my Boyfriend to dinner. We get there,& it’s closed up right, not a sign of life on a Tuesday night ( it said they were open). How little do you have to care about your customers, to not simply update your hours of operation to avoid inconveniencing and annoying would-be customers?
