Updated: After contacting the customer service, they honoured the points collected before the update and doubled the points. Well done BK. Their latest update of the app is completely messed up. Not just me but another customer having problems with the app are not entertained for the coupons at our disposals.
If you’re a vegetarian like me, and just leaving a coffee shop at 2am and the munchies attack your half-fried brain but everything is closed, your existential crisis is solved right here. Vegetarian chicken, Oreo chocolate ice cream and French fries just saved my life. Good veggie burger too.

I really enjoyed this Burger King. I was looking for something cheap to eat and found out this awesome BBQ beacon burger that is not available in my country. The staff is very well organized and served me fast. The bathroom required you to pay an extra and is not free for customers.
It is quite crowded during weekend night but it's easy to order from one of the many kiosks. Just a short wait for your order even during the busy times. There's also 2nd floor seating. Toilet is upstairs but you need to pay to enter. Go to Burger King website for some good coupon deals. Free WiFi available. 1 euro will be added to your bill for a reusable cup if you select eat-in. Otherwise there's an additional 10 cents fee for a paper cup if you select takeaway.

The staff on the counter have excellent customer service, they are friendly, helpful, polite and go the extra mile to make sure the customers are happy. The cleanliness of this restaurant is exceptionally good, and is the main reason I always come to this branch of Burger King in particular. The food is so much more enjoyable in a spotlessly clean environment.

It's a Burger King in the middle of Amsterdam, what more is there to say? It was a bit of a mess inside, but I went there Saturday night at 11pm, so what do you expect. The workers were friendly and were trying their best to get all orders out as quickly as possible.
Borgis king is now my new favorite place to get a fast food hamb burger. The flaming grills give a great taste and I think that they suit a burger best when it is paired with both cheese aaaand bacon. I will probably turn again quite soon and have another tasty treat that can't be beat
This burger king is in an area that views an open space with a beautiful building across the street. Amsterdam is a great place and haThe food is like any other menu at Burger King everywhere I have visited. It is good for a quick bite and it is quite affordable for being in this city. You get your food and the view from the second floor sitting in amazing. Sometimes I just come here to relax, have a bite and people watch. Great location overall.
I was looking for a known and cheap place to eat something. The place is so big and clean, but not everyone's understand foreign people... but they are all so kind and helpful with strangers! I asked for a drink refill as in my country but they gave me a refund of my glass... that was new for me. The only bad thing is that you have to pay everytime you need to use the toilet... even if you are already order your meal. They could think about codes for the customers. PS. I loved the fries!!!
The quality is okay (nothing more than that!!), they messed up my order but I got more value for my money because of it so this time they’re forgiven. Apart from that, the place has plenty of space to sit if you conquer the steep stairs but they come by every so often to check if you’re done yet so they can urge you to leave. The toilets are paid even for customers. All in all this is not a very customer friendly place. But apart from that, hey it’s BK so at least you get some acceptable food in you for a reasonable price. The sum of it all brings me to rate the place at 3 stars.
The food is good, much better than the other brnches in centrum. The only problem is air conditioning. No fresh air inside, and always very hot, which makes it impossible to sit and eat there.
Mediocre experience. I will say the food was prepared pretty well, although not incredibly warm, it was well prepared so no complaints there. Staff was not super friendly. They're in zombie mode, which is fine but when you ask them something you hardly get an answer. I'd say one was friendly, another indifferent and another rude. Price was pretty steep for what you get. Two burgers a medium drink and fry with sauce almost runs you 20 euros. Kind of annoying that they give you a reusable cup when eating indoors. It costs an extra euro and then to get your money back you have to use a machine which doesn't work. So you have to go to the front and ask for the return. It's pretty cramped with all the tourists milling about in there, so not a great experience overall. For my money I would rather go to the chippy king around the corner. 8 euros for a huge fry would have been a better deal. Kinda left the BK feeling cheated out of some money.
Well...I could tell a real story here, folks... Position is perfect, Burger King building is quite a big one, can fit many quests. Service is fine, girls at the counter try to do their best to assist you. Cleanness is at the "medium position") At the same time there is always someone to help you to put your tray away. Thanks for that) WiFi is free and quite stable. BUT Toilets leave much to be desired.. floors are also falling apart on the second floor. Many international travelers around. Enjoy!
Food is good.. however, they're stealing money from the customers by taking their payment ticket and therefore taking away the possibility of retrieving the money from the machine for the re-usable cup (1€).

Low effort customer service at 2pm of 30 May 2024... We wanted to know about allergens and no one knew how to answer the question or check the label of the product. Also did not allow us to request at the cash register, only automatic vending points when we wanted to personalize a burger.
Toilet hygiene level not worth 1 €.
I ordered my food on the order screen, it said “don’t leave your receipt” so I wanted to grab my receipt, which never came. I wanted to ask a worker to see if that would be a problem, when I did ask her she looked at me with judgmental eyes and asked me for my order number, which I gave her, when she saw it wasn’t the one she had ready she completely ignored me and shouted out the order that was prepared again. When my order came I came to pick it up and she didn’t say anything like “enjoy your meal” or “there you go”, just complete. Silence. it doesn’t bother me badly but it would’ve been respectful. I am a person of color and she treated me disrespectfully, yet to my friend (who doesn’t have a tinted skin color) she could talk with full respect. The food overall was good but the service that was given made it less enjoyable. She was an Asian woman, around 45-50 I would say, and around 160cm tall. I don’t mean to come over as disrespectful or overly needy for respect, just wanted to share my experience.
Poor experience here. The restaurant was fairly quiet when I arrived and yet the staff were like headless chickens. They were placing orders on the collection desk and not calling out numbers or displaying which orders were ready on the monitor, which meant no one knew their food was ready. When this was pointed out, the staff could not have cared less. The toilets were also filthy which is shocking considering they charge a euro for entry!! The food was tasty so I’ll give 2 stars although I did have to go back and collect the rest of my order which was missed.
This burger king is probably the worst in Amsterdam. Every single time I go here it takes ages for them to prepare my food. If you go in the evening on a weekend expect to wait at least 20 minutes while surrounded by hammered people. Oh and on top of that you have to pay to use the toilet and deal with the deposit system for the plastic cup.
Taste and quality as you would expect it would be...no more no less. The specific branch had terrible service. I had to go to the desk to place my order, and , they didn't give me the options they had available. And when I wanted to wash my hands in the toilet, they wanted me to pay €1. Awful experience.

About 30 minutes ago, I received an order where they forgot to include the King Burger menu . When I tried to discuss this with the restaurant staff, the girl who answered the phone started yelling at me, rudely insisting that such an order never existed and that it wasn’t in the system. What do you think of yourself? Do you think someone would call and lie about missing food? Horrible service! After that, she hung up the phone.Now I have to sit here hungry and with a ruined mood? My daughter wanted a plain chicken burger which we ordered on the screen. They gave us one with everything, then argued that we selected the wrong options. Disgraceful.
I feel I was kind of scammed today and blamed for my loss. I came with 2 vegetarische slager coupons to this branch. I followed the instructions on the totem and when inserted the second code (as I was with my partner), I got the message that only one would be accepted per order. As I moved with the second code to another totem, my code was given invalid. I tried to solve with the staff, the manager came to me and said that this is how it works and it’s done - once you type a code in the machine it’s gone forever, even if you couldn’t finish your order. First she said “you should know that at BK you can only do one code at a time”. There was nothing about that in ANY of the instructions or any part of the machine’s software. Then she proceeded to tell me I don’t know this because I am not from here. Well. I am and I redeem multiple codes from another competitor’s app all the time in the same order. Then, not satisfied she said the people come there all the time trying to scam with reused codes, implying I was tried to scam them. And this given I opened the packages with the code in front of them. So I left without food. Not great.
Slow, pretending not to be able to refund cash when other burger king do that , manager arrogant and tend to lose time instead of helping the customer. And all of this for 1 euro for the policy of plastic glasses . Service less then zero, the manager could need an update and some education lessons.
Worst customer service I've ever seen in a fast food, all brands/companies considered. 1. Even if you eat in, you have to PAY MORE to get to the toilets? And a guy is standing by the door to make sure that there is no fraud, like that's not more expensive than letting ppl pee for free. 2. Mandatory reusable cups are cool, I'm all for it. But having to pay 1€ more because it's reusable? No. McDonalds, KFC, all companies comply to the EU rules of reusability in fast food, but it's the first time I see such audacity. Oh, if customers could get their 1€ back (like it's done at festivals and everywhere foe 30 years), it'd be great. But no, if you want your money back, you gotta do the process through an app that is only available on the national app store (so tourists, even from nearby countries like France or Sweden, can't get their money back, we tried) 3. The cashier/ordering personnel is really NOT nice. I had a question to ask, they SAW me in front of them but ignored me until I almost yelled HELLO (and no, they weren't busy with something else, I'm a tourist yes, but it doesn't automatically make me a dick) To sum it up : go to other fast foods held by locals in the same street, MUCH better customer service! :)
Server was extremely rude, threw food upside down, then called me an expletive when I mentioned it. Flew across the counter and hit my hand. I asked to speak to the manager because no one should be treated that way by a server. He was just as nasty, refused to review footage, or reprimand the server who was screaming and had to be held back by 2 male employees. She was violent, insane, and should not be working in customer service. I had my camera audio on for my own protection and the manager threatened to call the police and have me arrested for "filming" which I was not doing, yet they have cameras everywhere. This was a horrible, frightening experience, and Burger King Corporate should be aware of the types of things going on in their franchises. So many bad reviews on this location. This is a tourist-dependent business, and the staff was unprofessional and one was actually scary. Don't take your children to this location. The "manager" could not give a toss.
MANAGER MAGGIE Disgusting establishment. I went to get a vanilla shake, and under the machine was a cup collecting all the leaking residue. The guy who went to make my milkshake tried to throw it away, but then the MANAGER, MAGGIE, came and insisted they add it to my shake before filling the cup from the machine. The three of them stood hovering over my milkshake while they poured the old residue into my cup. One of the guys kept nervously looking back at me.
Unbelievably rude attitude towards me, another woman and a little girl. We barely touched the stairs and immediately got yelled at and were told that we have to pay for consumption and also pay for the toilet. I witnessed the woman’s experience who posted below and the server was violent and had to be physically restrained by fellow employees. The manager did nothing. I would never step foot in this restaurant again, in fact, it put me off all Burger King restaurants. If they hire people like this woman, customers are not safe.
The kiosk we tried to order at first was broken but this only became obvious when it was time to pay. It had no out of order sign on it. There were two employees at the front putting the finishing touches on the orders despite the place being pretty busy. One was very positive, the other was dragging her feet and looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. You have to pay €1 for a reusable cup, but the machine to return them wasn’t working. In the end, we just left ours behind because there were also no employees available to speak to. It costs €0.8 to use the toilet, and they were dirty. At the end of the day, it’s Burger King, but I felt ripped off by this one.
It's a normal burger king, average food, non-existent service because you order on a screen, it's a restaurant and serves food and drinks but ... But be aware you have to pay EXTRA for the use of the bathroom, even if you are a customer, which is ridiculous. So I'm not going to this burger king ever again... Went there the other day to kill some time before a movie and got some nuggets. In one of the nuggets I got a "free surprise", aka an inch long, sharp bone, on which I almost choked as it stabbed me in the mouth. I reported it and 20 minutes later I am called by a land line by the manager (?) of the Leidseplein Burger King who in some broken and wildly incomprehensible dutch told me to whatsapp him the pictures (to a landline?) and that I can get free nuggets?! Yeah, thanks! I'm just glad I got the bone and not some little kid at a birthday party swallowing them things whole... he would have probably choked to death!
Very disappointing experience at the Burger King on Leidseplein. My friend, who has a walking disability, was initially not allowed to find a table on the first floor, even though it was better suited for him. After ordering, we were finally allowed upstairs, but then the security guard caused an unnecessary conflict just because I told my friends they could join me. The whole situation felt strange and unwelcoming. When it came to the food, the staff were rude and unhelpful. I tried to carry all our trays to the table because my friend obviously couldn’t help, but I was told I wasn’t allowed to take them all at once. This meant I had to go back and forth multiple times, which was frustrating and unnecessary. The food itself was below average. The burgers were poorly made and cold by the time I got everything upstairs. Overall, the lack of care for customers, especially those with disabilities, and the poor quality of food made this a very bad experience. I hope the staff and management improve both their service and their attitude.
I was kicked out because I had a cup. I was about to pay the ridiculous 1 EUR for the bathroom as well as order something from the menu. I had a cup in my possession and I wanted to go to the bathroom. The ‘bouncer’ told me In had to leave the cup and I told the “bouncer” that I would leave the cup outside. He told me no and I was escorted out of the building saying, they don’t care allow the cup, I should leave the store, I am not allowed in. All this because I had a cup and wanted something to eat. I was told I couldn’t return although I just asked for the bathroom.

The machines are pushed on you to make an older and if you dare not use it and go to the counter to order you will be firstly ignored then very rudely served (if you can call it that) they clearly don't like interacting with customers in anyway shape or form, never have I come across and establishment with such rude staff! Understaffed: the screen had 25 orders queued while the front staff was giggling and joking while only processing one order every 5 minutes and the takeout area was full of paying customers. In my case it took 20 minutes to get a single burger out. Things started moving when somebody who I assume was the manager started giving food out.
We were wearing beanies at the entrance due to bad weather and all of sudden security guard scolded us to not to wear them. Maybe not treat people like criminals just because of wearing beanies

I was very disappointed with my visit to this Burger King. After paying for food, I found out that you actually have to pay again just to use the restroom. This feels unreasonable — if a customer is already paying for a meal, basic access to a restroom should be included. The food itself was fine, but this policy left a very negative impression. A restaurant should prioritize customer comfort, not nickel-and-dime people for something as essential as using the bathroom. Until this changes, I’ll be choosing other places to eat where customers are treated with more respect.
the worst burger king i've ever been to. not only the food was disgusting and undercooked (i doubt the bacon was even heated before put in my whopper) the portion size seemed to be smaller, the staff was extremely rude and the toilet was paid extra. this part would've even been ok, but the price on the gate was one, what was charged me on my card was another. i doubt that's even allowed by the law. and on top of all of that, the store was extremely dirty. i'm not a huge fan of fast food so i only eat at this type of restaurant once or twice a year. burger king is by far my favourite and the one i mostly go to. this one was terrible, truly genuinely disgusting.
I have never been to a worse Burger King, the staff was nearly purposefully unhelpful, to say the least, the miss didn't give me a proper reusable cup (no lid) even though I payed for it, took my receipt (I need that and should keep it, normally) crumpled it and tossed it in the garbage immediately. I then went upstairs only to find the bathroom was paid (even though the food is already quite expensive given the amount and quality) and not a normal price, €1!!!! You pay, enter, and the tap was broken, the bathroom stunk and there was no toilet paper in my stall. Plenty of wet dirty toilet paper all over the wet floor. WHAT DO YOU EVEN PAY FOR ANYWAY?! Never coming back!
Wouldn't eat here. Today watched a staff member use the trays to stuff down rubbish in the bins then return the trays for immediate use without washing them. Also observed staff total my bill as 11 euro and put in 40 euro. Never changed it. Absolutely don't give a care about health and hygiene nor the business
Ridiculous establishment. Tiny portions, 75c for sauce (which they forget to give you and then just give you one sachet as if you're a beggar), paid toilets, all the items are overpriced in contrast to other cities in the EU, and they charge you for reusable cups that don't have lids which causes many spills. The e-tills don't work properly and it's just ridiculous how bad it is. We eat at BK for the vegan options, and we tried to save money for lunch by eating here, but it ended up being as expensive as eating something substantial at a normal cafe or restaurant. What's even better is that they don't give you back the money for the reusable cups. They tell you to download an app and claim the money there and refuse to give you back your money in cash / card. We will not be visiting BK in Amsterdam again.
