Jesus took awesome care of our party. I wanted to make sure to take care of the check because my brother can be a little pushy about that. Jesus made sure that mine was the only credit card that was run. Plus he and his serving team gave us A+ service. To say that I’m a little picky about service is an understatement as we are from Vegas, where service is demanded to be premium plus. Jesus and his serving team could easily fulfill any Vegas demanding customer with the service they provided. Great job Jesus!!

Diana was amazing. She served me the most life changing quesabirria I’ve had and I couldn’t finish the quesofundido because I was in tears of how amazing the establishment was. I wouldn’t have appreciated the food if not for Diana’s excellent service. If you want a life changing experience go here immediately and if you have Diana you will be transcended into a state of blissful harmony

The first time I came here was in June but couldn't get a table cos it was so full. That was the indicator to come back. The food and drinks are great and Diana was such a joy to have as our server. We recently visited this Mexican restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious — the flavors were fresh and authentic. The fajitas were especially amazing: perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, and full of tender meat and vegetables. Paula was incredibly attentive, friendly, and checked on us several times to make sure everything was perfect.

After having dinner on Cornelia, a friend and I decided to get drinks here. And this place is so slept on! Our first time visiting New York City and we loved it so much that we made time to visit it a second time. After long days of sightseeing and tourist traps the amazing service from our bartender Mario made us feel right at home. He anticipated all of our needs and made well balanced and refreshing cocktails. We were too full for a meal but tried the chips and spicy guac (had options for mild and medium) and were very pleased with the flavor. I came here with my colleagues after a long day at work and we were so glad we did! We stumbled upon this nice restaurant that offers amazing bites — we ordered the ceviche and fresh guacamole with chips, and everything was delicious. Our server, Gizelle, was absolutely wonderful! She was super helpful when it came to choosing drinks and recommended the Mezcalito Tamarindo, which was perfect. Her friendly and welcoming attitude really made the experience even better. This place is AMAZING. I came here on a Tuesday for my birthday and the server Armando greeted me with the biggest smile and he had such an amazing energy the whole time my mother and I were here. He spoke to my mother in Spanish which immediately put a smile on her face and mine too. The food was great, the drinks were amazing and a great size too, and I didn’t wait long at all for anything that I ordered. The staff surprised me with a dessert for my birthday and sang Happy Birthday to me and I got the cutest little video that I was not expecting thanks to them. We had a wonderful experience being served by Marcela at Caliente Cab. Beautiful outdoor seating with delicious food! I recommend the guacamole and ceviche for starters. We ordered a margarita flight and a bandera flight and I would highly recommend the watermelon frozen margarita! Marcela was attentive and the food came quickly after being ordered. The one thing I would say is that the bathrooms are smelly, but overall such a lovely restaurant and I highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I came here with my family members and it was so good. Very family friendly, and provided kind services for babies too. For appetizers, we got the chips and guacamole, as well as the ceviche. The guac was a bit bland, I wish there was a bit more going there but it was yummy. We asked them to make it spicy but it wasn’t in the slightest, the ceviche was SO GOOD. I absolutely loved it and so did everyone else. We got three tacos, the mahi mahi, the Baja fish taco, and the carne asada. My favorite was the mahi mahi, It was so flavorful and delectable. The Baja was light and airy. My least favorite was the carne asada, it was good but not great. We also got the Chicken poblano enchiladas. I personally liked it. I wish it was more spicy and it only came with a little bit of pico de gallo. The atmosphere was incredible, it felt very alive yet cozy. Overall it was a great place to eat out, and for the amount we ordered the price was pretty solid.

The service and atmosphere was great. The food portions were legit but my food had no seasoning whatsoever. And for Mexican food that is not normal. I had the mixed fajitas and there was literally no seasoning including no salt. The drinks were a little in the light side for the price...meaning no alcohol. I would try it again given the atmosphere...maybe idly was just a bad night for the food.

We were first and foremost grateful for finding this restaurant because it was quite difficult for an unprepared tourist without a reservation to find a spot to eat in the neighbourhood. This place is big so we only had to wait for about 10 minutes for a turnover in our favour. The food itself was extremely generous to say the least but I need to just get used to this fact of life in the US and accept I will never finish a meal with my puny European appetite. We tried a mix of different things and they were all very satisfying. If I had to complain about anything, I would say there was little to no fish in the Ceviche as it was mostly made up of seafood and I was a little surprised at the lack of spice in the dishes. That can easily be fixed by readily available hot sauces but it shows the dishes were adapted for a more international audience. My final tip is that the sizes of cocktails come in 3 options: 1. Too small 2. Too big 3. Animal feeding trough (sharing portion)

For a Mexican restaurant, the food was astonishingly bland — I’ve had more flavor licking cement off the sidewalk. Honestly, ice was spicier than the meal they served. That said, I did appreciate the staff. It was Christmas, and they were dressed in cute little Santa outfits, occasionally even cracking a smile, which was nice to see. The brunch margaritas tasted unmistakably like Windex, so I suppose it’s good to know their cleaning products are being put to use. Times are tough, after all — the economy is rough. I ordered a breakfast contraption that was completely fried and large enough to feed a family of four. I hope they’d eaten beforehand, because despite its size, it was deeply unsatisfying. I’d only recommend coming here if you order a margarita with a salted rim — that way, at least some flavor might make its way onto your food. I know this review is harsh, but I truly wish everyone there a happy holiday.

Came here after seeing a play. The chips were wonderful!! I don’t like guac but my dad enjoyed it. The salsa was good and had a kick. I went with the birria special but wasn’t pleased with it. I wish I got the taco or quesadilla instead. It was overwhelming with flavor and the refried beans made the burrito a bit mushy. There was not enough consume for me. My dad enjoyed the mahi mahi tacos. Got the churros for dessert and they weren’t that great. I only ate one and my dad took a bite but we didn’t like it. It was a bit over fried and the chocolate sauce had a different flavor. Service was okay. The bathrooms were downstairs

For the most part, over-salted and precooked commercialized Mexican fare. Watch your check as they’ll add your tip for a table of 3 or 4, then the handheld terminal will hit you with another “over the top” tip where they ask you to tip on top of the tip they already snuck in. No good.

Food was good, however, they took away our food without it being finished/asking if we were done. They never refilled our waters. They rushed us out of our table because there was a bigger party (we had reservations). The waitress was also very pushy with food even though we hadn't decided yet. The place also added a 20% tip without telling us when in actuality the service deserved no tip for how they treated us. I'm only giving them more than one star because I thought the food and drinks were decent.

I have been to this place a couple times back in the 90’s, when it was pretty good. But I recently visited this location and thought to myself, was this place always this bad? Or was I too young before to know what good food and drinks were? I went here with a few girlfriends for a celebration. There were 10 of us. We did have a reservation and were seated quickly. This is a place the is a party vibe, so they sing and dance, light sparklers, and its loud! Not exactly the place I’d go to on a date to talk and get to know someone but great for a celebration, as far as atmosphere goes. They offer their drinks in a small and a large size. I ordered a large size. I was full from the volume of the drink way before I was buzzed. Now that I think of it, I can’t even say I was buzzed. So I feel like they were a little light on the alcohol and banked on the fact that the drink was so large you would “think” you were drunk. Like when you give your grandma a “rum & coke”, but it’s 24 cubes of ice, then fill the cup 9/10th full of coke and add two drops of rum. Our waiter came relatively quickly, considering how busy it was. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. When the food came out, it was lukewarm at best. It wasn’t flavorful AT ALL! It was VERY salty, and I like salt! I only made it through half! Ok not even half…I just moved the food around the plate. The rice was hard (I’m Hispanic so yes I’m an authority on rice and this wasn’t it!). And the refried beans would have been better if they came from a can! Yuck! We had chips and guacamole too and I’ve had better guac from a food truck (no offense food trucks! Some of you guys have amazing food…but a brick and mortar should have more resources than a food truck does). Our waiter did the best he could, considering the amount of tables he had to cover….poor guy. We split the bill evenly and we each spent $67. I was still hungry and had to make a stop on my way home for a small bite. I would NOT recommend the food or the drinks here. There are other places all around the city (and yes even food trucks) that are so much better. Skip Caliente Cab!

I have very mixed feelings about my experience at Caliente Cab. The food was actually good, and the pricing was very reasonable — $24 for a full brunch meal with an alcoholic drink on the weekend is a great deal. The flavors were solid and I genuinely liked the overall vibe of the place. However, the service was deeply disappointing. When we first arrived, it took an unusually long time for a server to come to our table. We had to call out multiple times just to get someone’s attention, while other tables around us were attended to immediately. It already felt like we were being overlooked from the start. Then, at the end of our meal — even though my friend had not finished her drink — the staff came to our table and began rushing us to leave. They approached us multiple times (at least three) to pressure us to wrap up. Meanwhile, the table next to us, who had arrived before us, was not rushed at all. Two other nearby tables were also allowed to stay without interruption. The inconsistency is what made it uncomfortable. We were the only ones repeatedly hurried and overlooked. As Asian customers, it’s difficult not to question whether we were being treated differently. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but the pattern of being ignored at the beginning and rushed out at the end did not feel right. It’s disappointing because the food and pricing are genuinely good. I liked the atmosphere, and I would have considered coming back. But hospitality matters just as much as the food, and this experience makes me hesitant to return.

Food was so bland omg… I couldn’t believe it… my partner got the palle without the pork sausage (which is a positive because some places don’t let you take out ) and I got a chicken taco salad. Both my partner and I was in need of flavor taste so awful. The guac and chips was good though. The drinks was trash. Juice. Got two order of the flight. The waitress recommended the Smokey 4 drink set and it was gross. I asked her and she said it be good but honestly it didn’t give tasty at all. The waitress did accommodate and replace the 4 and give me without Smokey flavor much better Waitress was okay. We had to wait to be seated so many seats inside. We visited for the first time with a reservation to try the weekend brunch, from an hour train ride away. I ordered the breakfast bowl completo and the margarita brunch special. The margarita was strong and large. My meal when it arrived a while later ended up including toppings (layered warm greens) that the menu didn’t list that unfortunately ruined the dish for me, and wasn’t a welcome surprise. I never complain, but I hoped the waiter would come by soon to hopefully help figure something else out. The waiter didn’t come by again for a long time - until my partner was finished eating already. When the waiter came by, I shyly let him know that the menu didn’t list the salad ingredients they included in the dish. The waiter asked, “did you just want the chicken or what? It always includes spinach.” The dish doesn’t even include chicken at all which was a weird comment for him to make. I told him it had plenty of toppings listed already that I was fine with, and that the menu should list the greens. He said he would get his manager. He came back several minutes later to bring me back the brunch menu saying, “The bowl includes spinach, see?” I looked at the menu again, and asked him “I don’t see it. Where does it say that?” He studied the menu again for several seconds, and I asked, “am I crazy?” Finally he said, “no, you’re right” and walked away with the menu. About 10 minutes later he returned and said that the dish always includes greens but no one ever complains. I told him that the menu should be updated, and he said that he never works the morning shift (then how would he know if anyone ever complains?) which was still irrelevant to the issue at hand. I told him that the issue wasn’t his fault, but that I didn’t like being made to feel bad about an issue that wasn’t my fault. He apologized and asked if I wanted to order anything else instead, but I told him that I felt it was kinda too late to put in and wait again for another order as we’d been there for a long time already, my partner had now been finished with his dish for a good while, and we’d both finished our huge drinks even. He insisted i should order the steak ranchero dish, and I told him that I had seen the brunch menu, and I really only wanted the dish as it was listed but it really was too late now (well over an hour at this point), and I just wanted to leave, as I was overwhelmed by the back-and-forth I never wanted. He walked away and after 10 more minutes of waiting, I decided to step outside and wait for my partner to pay while I figured out where to get lunch. My partner calls me 10 minutes later while I’m down the block saying they offered him 2 free shots. I told him to take them as I didn’t feel like returning. He ended up paying full price and full tip for the order, and the manager never spoke to us. It was a cheap brunch, so whatever, but the service was so frustrating and oppositional, we’ll never return.

The drinks were delicious the food terrible. Great people-watching location if seated outdoors!! Be warned if you were a long time customer… it is not the Caliente Cab of the past. The food menu lacks creativity and is now only commercialized cliched “Mexican cuisine” offerings. If you must go there, get the large sized la esposa loca cocktail. No recommendation on the food as it was all terrible for the 6 guests at our table.
