Always a great place, overall! Love their habanero salsa!
My partners and I have brunch there every Sunday on the patio and it is our favorite place! We're taken care of even a couple hours after we've finished eating. Gotta keep that meeting going and these guys are welcoming about it! Food is pretty great too and they have good variety.
I have been going to Jardin Carona for several years including when they were on Pond Springs. The food is always fast, delicious and staff is extremely efficient. They will bring food out to your car as well if ordering take out. The nachos are the best in town
Absolutely wonderful experience! My wife had the tacos. My brother got the taco platter. My mother in law got the burrito supreme, and I got the Jardin Chimichanga. I was quite impressed with the service. The waitress took our order, made several suggestions, and then in a moment later, we had waters and lots and lots of chips and salsa at our table. The food arrive shortly later, hot, I was absolutely wonderful. Too wonderful actually, because we had to take some of it to go! Would definitely recommend this restaurant, and I will come again.
The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a comfortable atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. The food came out fresh and tasted great, and everything moved smoothly from start to finish. Toward the end, I want to highlight our server, Alejandra, who provided genuinely great service. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a very positive dining experience.
11/11/25 – Late Lunch The food was excellent! The fajitas were especially good, perfectly marinated, full of flavor, and loaded with onions, fresh cilantro and bell peppers. Service is always outstanding, and the restaurant is clean and well-kept. The patio has a great Austin vibe and makes the whole experience even better.
The atmosphere is a little slower paced. The bartender is really nice and we got our food in a timely manner. Probably won't go back for breakfast but I do love their dinner menu. Thanks and God bless!
The service was top-notch! The salsa is incredible-- I'll come back just for it! My shrimp taco was very tasty. The shrimp was cooked well, and the cabbage was nice and crisp. The chicken taco was disappointing because the chicken was bland. Adding the awesome salsa fixed that taco. I look forward to returning.
The servers were awesome even though we were indecisive. We wanted the patio with the cold wind was too much, so they happily moved us inside. They were patient and understanding. As we asked questions about the menu and navigated through ingredients and questions about food sensitivity. Try the queso poblano with fresh tortillas. Serving sizes are generous and The music was low enough that we could have great conversation.
Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try Jardin Corona. Great location for groups, but with that said we prefer a quieter booth which we did sit at. The hostess attempted to sit a middle aged couple next to two tables with multiple kids. When I said no kids please she quickly steered us away. Waitress was amazing and very attentive, had great recommendations. Food was plentiful and good, I ordered a plate with multiple items and it was great just didn’t love everything on my plate. Will I eat there again and recommend people, absolutely!!! Drinks were amazing!
This place is HEAVENLY! The customer service is beyond fantastic and the food is to literally die for! First pic is El pastor tacos were flavorful with spice and everything nice, second is Flautas crispy fried Tortillas with the perfect seasoned chicken and rice (I did no beans extra rice), third enchiladas which were cheesy and soft with such rich flavor.

Great as usual. Wife was wasted on a pitcher of margs while I tried to keep her from trying to move us up on the waiting list.
Good quality food, efficiently delivered. Our go to for tasty takeout! We like the shrimp tacos, Chile relleno and enchiladas verdes.
We stopped for beer, then had appetizers, than stayed for dinner. Everyone was efficient if not very friendly, starting with the bartender through the wait staff.

Really solid spot. The food was very good across the board, not mind blowing, but definitely satisfying and well done. You can tell care goes into the dishes. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Cool atmosphere too. I would absolutely come back.
This was a first for us. I had the fajita enchilada plate and it was awesome! My wife had the milanesa jardin corona plate and it was good except the batter used on the milanesa steak was way too salty. Other than that we enjoy everything. We'll stop by again as we travel back from Austin. Sorry for the shadows in the pictures.
After an afternoon at Hippie Hollow felt like Mexican food. It was after the lunch hours so we had the back of the place to ourselves. The floors could have been policed up a bit but other than that the dining area was in order. My girlfriend said that the restroom was a mess and didn’t use it. The menu is extensive. Lots of choices. It ran the gambit from the classic Mexican fare to Enchiladas De Mole. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable for basically ground beef, cheese, beans & tortillas. Next time in Austin I’d like to check out their breakfast. Supposedly it’s really good.

The drinks and food were pretty good. We'd come back. I love me some tortilla soup, but they're vegetables were chopped huge.

Came here for the caldo de res and will say was very disappointed. No flavor at all. Tasted like watered down soup. I’m sure the beef and vegetables were previously frozen. Also had horchata and of course it was the powdered kind. Not fresh at all. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.
Everything was alright, however the meat was overall quite dry, and the flavors seemed to come together rather awkwardly. Overall, the ingredients seemed somewhat low quality, the food is solid, but not the greatest, however the carne guisada was very good, and we had a good experience!
We tired this Mexican restaurant for a Cinco de Mayo Brunch because they had vegetarian breakfast items but found out that it was only available on the weekends. The service was great and very attentive. My wife had the skinny margarita and I had the guava frozen margarita and they were both amazing. However, the food was ok at best. We ordered the vegetarian enchiladas and they didn’t have enough sauce and our queso had ground beef at the bottom and that is not what we ordered or how it was described on the menu. It was corrected right away. We had the homemade tres leches for dessert that was delicious. Would go back for drinks and cake only.
Mildly disappointed and unsatisfied. I drove from downtown to eat here. I was looking forward to it all weekend. I will give them credit for the positive. The service was great and the environment was nice. However, the chips I received were a bit stale. The salsa was not spicy and kinda sweet which is weird. The food came out quickly which at first I thought was great but then realized why. The preparation was rushed. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. There was very little cheese on top and it was hardly melted. The tortillas were barely warm and difficult to cut through. The rice was so bland and mushy I could not stand to finish it. The only upside were the charro beans but even those were a 4/5. Sadly I probably won't be returning anytime soon.
Super cute restaurant but the food was horrendous. We got the Enchiladas Rojas and a combo #8 (beef fajita taco and chicken flauta ). First off…all the cheese was processed American style cheese. Second…the chicken wasn’t seasoned at all and tasted like old crock pot chicken. Beans were bland and so was the rice. The alcohol was the only thing that helped us stomach any of it.
I was really disappointed with my experience here. The food quality was far below expectations—my combo plate (El Tucan) had little to no flavor, more like a frozen dinner than a fresh meal. It was a 1/10 for me, and I couldn’t finish it. The queso was the best part of the meal, but even that arrived lukewarm. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback is taken as constructive. There’s definitely room for improvement.
The food and cocktails are reasonably priced! I believe the bar probably really keeps this place busy. The food is not what I would consider good. The food is very mediocre and does not have a great deal of flavor. It's like they forgot the spices. Mary our waitress was fantastic. Lunch and cocktails for 2 was 41.00.
