Tom Tom Bar West Hollywood Reviews
Pangea Bier Cafe is in a league of its own and remains a true Sacramento gem. What makes them stand out isn't just that the food is high quality, but that it is genuinely unique compared to anything else in the city. The Pangaea Burger is a masterpiece and there is a very clear reason why it is a multi-time Sacramento Burger Battle winner. Their fried chicken sandwich is equally impressive and you truly won't find another one like it in the area. The habanero aioli provides the perfect kick while the house-made slaw keeps everything fresh and crunchy. To top it all off, their selection of adult beverages is absolutely stellar. The drink program is deeply curated, offering everything from rare Belgian imports to unique local crafts on tap that pair perfectly with the menu. Pangea has mastered the art of the elevated cafe and they never disappoint. Whether you are a local regular or a first timer, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates bold flavors and a great atmosphere.
Best burger in Sacramento, hands down. Seriously, the Pangaea Burger lives up to the hype, it’s juicy and perfectly seasoned. Massive beer selection and a great patio vibe, too!
One of the best bars in Sacramento for the Belgian beer lover in your life. Great tap list and exceptional bar food options, including one of the best burgers in town, and the definitive best pretzel. Always an absolute pleasure
Wow 😲 This place is unbelievably amazing! The service, the aesthetics, the food and the drinks are all just perfect. Their burgers are just what everyone mentioned, incredible. I regret not being here sooner. Anthony is the best! We are so happy to always see him and enjoy all the great conversations 😊 This place is like an episode of Cheers, everyone here will make you feel like home and make you feel like they know your name 🍻
I picked up the Panga’s burger, and wow this is hands down the best burger in Sacramento! I can’t believe I didn’t know about it sooner. They seriously need to open a dedicated burger joint. If it were a little cheaper, I’d be here every week
The staff is always really nice. On of the very Best burgers in Sacramento. Excellent beer selection and the staff is always happy to let you taste a couple before deciding. Conveniently located right across from Gunther's in case you want to people watch or be entirely decadent and get ice after.
Pangaea Burger definitely lacked that "O" face moment. It is what it represents though. If you're looking for a good quality burger, along with fresh condiments/produce then this is what you'll get. However, if you're looking for a good ol cheesy American burger, then is this the place for you. Macaroni & Cheese is on point. Very very good 👍. Pull chicken tacos wasn't a hit but it's seasoned good. I'm assuming the pulled pork would've been the route to take. Chicken sandwich is by far heads and shoulder above ALL. Everything about this sandwich is on point. Chicken wings are crispy, tossed in a buttery buffalo sauce. Definitely worth a visit with multiple repeat visits. For those who you can't go a weekend without beer and are still into that "home brew-local-man beer" with tacky names, then this place has a great selection for you.
MY ONE STAR REVIEW WAS A MISTAKE !!!! Dear Pangaea owner and staff, That one star review was a "pocket " or " butt " NON-review that had to have happened most likely when I stuffed my phone into my pocket and the good news is,...I am very sure I didn't stuff it into the other listed space. I absolutely LOVE Pangaea because of its great neighborhood vibe, excellent food, and excellent selection of beers from Belgium on tap or bottled. There are no other pubs/places for miles where I can walk in and look at all the pub signs on the walls of all those Flemish or Wallonian brews that I have actually had and in their specific glass in their country or origin, Belgium. Best regards and I hope this correction review gets posted ASAP !!!!
Always a treat to come here. The selection of small output beers is unequaled. The place has won the Best Burger in Sacramento before for good reason. This burger will be in your top 3 ever. Come hungry because it’s big, juicy and veerry tasty. A nap after it and 3 great beers may be needed 💤 Thank you for being consistently great ❤️🍺
This is a top 5 burger EASY!!! The blend of chuck and brisket is the perfect combination of fattiness and depth of flavor. While the patty eats like butter, the vegetables deliver on the texture. Red onions are lightly sweet and texturally crisp. The tomato adds that great umami and moisture to an already juicy burger. I don’t know what they did to the pickles, but they are the best I’ve ever had! Super vinegar forward, acidic, and balanced the sandwich out nicely. Also, the brioche bun had a definite sweetness that played off of the rich burger nicely. The fries are okay but the burger is so good I don’t care. Pangaea Bier Cafe is serving up one of the best burgers in the state and I am not exaggerating.
Out of all the amazing restaurants/brewpubs in the Sacramento area, "Pangaea Bier Cafe" has always been consistently good ever since they opened at this very popular Curtis Park hotspot dating back to 2008. And in that stretch of time, they have had a cult following of fans that rave about their "Pangaea Burger" being the #1 burger in all of Sacramento. But they're so much more than that as they carry a full-on menu including sandwiches, nachos, wings, tacos, and salads. And of course lots of local brews on tap, wine, and even coffee. Located directly on Franklin Blvd. and adjacent to 3rd Ave. in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento, this place is directly across the street from the iconic "Gunther's Ice Cream" parlor. Parking can be tricky but since you're more or less surrounded by lots of residential areas, you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a spot to park. Maybe on a warm summer night where crowds in the dozens flock to ice cream could be a bit of an issue. Even though I've been here several times in the past, my most recent visit was on the afternoon of Sunday 10/17/2021 at around 2:30pm. Since the weather was still warm enough to dine outside, my friend and I decided to enjoy lunch on their sizable outdoor patio. The inside itself does offer ample seating as well as a small stage area when they offer live music. Do keep in mind that they are NOT open for business on Monday and Tuesday just in case you're wondering. As far as my lunch, I ended up going with their "Sunday Special" which was their "BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich" and a beer for the amazing low price of only $11.99 + tax. I paired this sandwich up with an iced cold "Cosmic Rays Modern Times IPA" beer and an ice water. My friend ordered their "Buffalo Hot Wings" with sides of Blue Cheese & Ranch sauce. We received a number, sat outside, and both our meals arrived within 10 minutes. Overall, my pulled pork sandwich was hearty, messy, and delicious. The heaping portion of coleslaw made it bigger than it actually was while the crisp pickles gave it a nice balance. The pork was seasoned to perfection while the sauce had that hint of sweet and spice packed into one. I did try one of my friends hot wings and these too had the perfect coating of sauce with a generous amount of meat on the wing itself. Oh, and my beer was excellent as Cosmic Rays always puts out a great tasting IPA. All in all, "Pangaea Bier Cafe" is an excellent restaurant/brewpub/coffee shop/live music venue packed into one. It is prime location in the heart of Sacramento with a nice diverse crowd here. When you factor in the location, eclectic ambiance, ideal indoor/outdoor seating, food portions & quality, top notch customer service, and decent prices, this place is 5-star worthy.
One of the coolest craft beer pubs I have ever been too. It has this beer cave-public house-locals only vibe but in a very friendly way! Had a really good beer here a few Sundays ago. The staff is very nice and welcoming and they were all working hard to make sure every customer was comfortable and the place was kept tidy. Family friendly place right across from a very popular ice cream place. Loved the decor, the huge beer selection, and the very old timey huge wooden tables. Hope to be back soon.
Wow. What a cool place. Huge beer selection, even had ciders, which were delicious. We celebrated Father’s Day here and were able to get a table pretty fast. We arrived just as they were changing from brunch to lunch, so we waited for the lunch menu. They were busy and food took about 20 minutes. We had a fairly large group and everyone was so happy with their food. I didn’t get pics of everything, but the bacon Mac and cheese, wow! Rave reviews were also given for the chicken sandwich. Overall, this place is fantastic. Would definitely come here again.
Great location in an old Sacramento neighborhood surrounded by historic homes. Best hamburger I’ve ever had. The burger patty was super juicy and perfectly cooked medium in the middle and a slight browned crunch on the outside. Combined with a light and buttery bun, just the right amount of cheddar cheese and crispy bacon it all equals a perfect burger without any unnecessary distracting toppings. The fries were standard no frills variety that could have been better, but they were cooked fresh and were hot. Excellent selection of draft beer. A person can select from many beer types to include a few very dark and tasty options like the barrel aged one I chose. Refreshing to have more to choose from than just the over hyped IPAs that can be found everywhere.
When I first moved to Sacramento,I think I came here seven days in a row. The best sour beers and tap selection of any bier bar that I’ve ever been to. I believe it when they say this is one of the top 10 beer destinations in the world. Plus they won the Sacramento burger battle, bringing home the peoples choice belt and the judges choice belt. Anders, Austin, Reed and Mike (good luck at the new job Mikey) are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I love talking beer with them and I visit them at least three times a week. I am a Pangaea Bier Cafe patron for life.
Very friendly staff, good ciders and wine. Food was average. My burger was a lil charred and that was foremost flavor. Side salad had nice greens. Parking is scarce.
The location was good. They have indoor and outdoor dining ❤️. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Abundance of beers on tap. Pet friendly. Bathrooms are semi clean. Parking is as expected for the location ❤️❤️❤️. The seating is first come first serve ❤️❤️❤️. We appreciated the detail to the drinks history and open space outside
