We have about 4-5 years that we come here regularly. The food is so good. Their special rolls are to die for. My husband always gets his special Saturday roll and the sashimi dinner, I totally love the lava roll.After church my kids love to come here my 2 1/2 year old loves the miso soup and lava roll. Personally I think the quality of the rolls is better than the Nobu. Great friendly staff Amazing drinks Great atmosphere

I would like to let it be known that I have frequented this place for takeout years ago but today I decided to dine in for my birthday when the restaurant was open for business at 11:30 a.m. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite serene with music playing in the background at a mellowed tone. It wasn't empty but it wasn't too busy. Our initial server, Jessie, was very much interactive and outgoing. She was very pleasant and welcoming to the 6-month-old that accompanied us on this day. They gave us time to settle so we did not feel rushed. We ordered two classic margaritas, which came about 5 minutes later, because we were told that this choice would be the best option on the menu, but it was your typical sour mix nothing authentic. So I decided to switch it out and with no problem from the server I ordered a coco mai. So happy I changed my order because this drink is absolutely delicious. I would definitely order that drink again. My appetizer was the pan fried pork dumpling. This was delicious also. I ordered sushi and a seaweed salad and the salmon to avocado ratio in the sushi was off but it was still edible. Other than that great place to dine in at. Great customer service. If you are a coconut lover like me, order the coco mai you won't be disappointed.

Excellent drinks and food! The waiter and servers were very attentive. Music and atmosphere were great, too. I would recommend getting any of the Chef’s Signature rolls, Purple Rain(cocktail), and all the desserts are delicious! I loved this place so much I will definitely have to go back.

Hello everyone. I keep going to this place and I may say that if you really want a good sushi this is the place. Excellent quality freshness of the dish it is otherworldly. The service and the waiters need to bee a-bit more warm and welcoming. Overall great for evening Sushi. Especially for the ( BlackForest Sushi ).

Very good white tiger and (I think) a dynamite roll, both very good. Also ordered surprisingly good sautéed garlic spinach. Oh, and the hot and sour soup was great. Atmosphere just OK most likely due to being seated directly adjacent to serving station where bus people and servers were pretty much on top of my seat, like inches away, texting, pulling out dishware, etc.

Great atmosphere with fresh fish and friendly staff. Parking is a bit of a pain, but not the restaurant's fault. Food will run you 50 to $60 per person, not including drinks. A real fun place to get together with friends.

In a great location with lots of other places nearby! They have a great inexpensive happy hour menu which easily gets you through the door. The service is relatively quick and the food is yummy. Everything is made fresh which is an upside. The place is a bit dark so if you have vision issues you may opt for somewhere else. Great for small groups and first dates!

This review is long overdue, I had lunch a few months back with my cousin and his partner. The service was just ok, we got our appetizers fast and was asked once if everything was ok right away by the guy who dropped off the dishes. We were mostly conversing with a few appetizers (dumplings/sushi and wine) The waiter tended to us once, she was not very friendly as my cousin tried to make her smile by engaging in conversation. She simply nodded and walked away. I remember at the end when we paid our tab she had asked if the service was good and if we liked our food because "we didn't tip much" I was appalled, looked at my cousin in disbelief as I have never experienced this before. I gave her more money and asked if that was better and she said, "I guess" so that is now an inside joke with my cousin and I. How are you doing cous, I'm ok-- "I guess" we joke on it but it was very distasteful and inappropriate. I hope they got rid of her!... "I guess"

It was a quick lunch pick up. So the review is not for dinning in! I think half of my shrimp tempura roll got stolen by alien, or my eye sight is catching up to me. Should have just go to a local takeout for lunch to go. Lesson learned. Food other wise was ok.

It was my first time visiting Haiku and if it weren't for the waitress who was hovering over us, rushing us to eat (When there was only 2 other people eating in the restaurant), not allowing us to take our time and standing right next to our table, I probably would have enjoyed my meal. Food was ok. I will not be coming back.

We go here a lot for lunch and the sushi has been decent but today I ordered the crispy Szechuan chicken and it was strips of fried dough with zero chicken. I couldn’t believe it. So I won’t be ordering from their hot food menu again.

I ordered takeout and the lady who I spoke with was very hostile for no reason. She called and told me I didn’t order the sushi correctly because I didnt select if I wanted sushi/sashimi online. But I checked back in my email and I actually did select it. So I’m not really sure why she was scolding me. I’m also a paying customer so that kind of hostility was uncalled for, especially unprovoked. She kept telling me how to order next time, but there won’t be a next time. I used to eat here all the time because the food is good. However after this experience, I will never be back.

This restaurant has gone down dramatically in quality over the years. It used to be great but now… my daughter and I went to have lunch. she asked the waitress for a sushi order but the waitress said it must be up charged at the dinner price. My daughter agreed anyway even though it shouldn’t have been extra. She then asked how many rolls come in the sushi order. The waitress said it comes with 8 rolls. she ordered it and when it came only 6 were there. We mentioned this to the waitress and she said the best she can do is have the kitchen provide an extra half a roll. She got the manager and the manager came already with an angry demeanor and said said loudly that nothing can be done. When I asked why can’t they provide 8 as the waitress had told us, he loudly said to my daughter “I’m talking to you not your mother!”. he was very disrespectful, and said “I don’t care, that’s the order!” He upset my daughter on what was supposed to be special dinner for the both of us. As we get up to pay, my daughter said to him we’re not coming back, and he said “Good! I don’t need you!”. That’s a manager that doesn’t care about customer experience, his business, and has no manners whatsoever. They nickel and dime for everything while treating you like they’re doing you a favor to attend you. And unfortunately this experience has been consistent there for the last few years. Never again. Haiku used to be a premium fun and tasty restaurant experience in white plains as the best in the area. Now it’s a subpar aging shell of what it once was. There are much better places to go now. Don’t waste your money or let your good mood get ruined here by these grumpy and disrespectful manager and staff.
