Fuji Grill Williamsville Reviews
The food is very consistent and delicious. The service is below average. My friend and I both wanted dessert but the waitress never asked if we wanted dessert and just handed us a check.
Food Amazing! Huge portions- taste great. Ordered chicken hibachi with fried rice. Comes with soup, salad with the most delicious ginger dressing!, along with meat, veg and rice or noodles. Food came out quickly. The highlight of this meal was the FRIENDLIEST WAITER I HAVE EVER HAD - in any restaurant- ever - named Joven. I have traveled 5 continents - lived on 4 continents - been to a ton of restaurants- so I can say that statement with assurity. What a genuine, sweet, friendly, attentive waiter who you can just tell is a good human being. Very happy we had him - Fuji Grill should be honored to have Joven working for them. Anyways - tipped him 50% to let him know he deserves it. I hope he kept it all for himself (as I wanted). Enjoyed the food and service and highly recommend it.
Participated in a Bachelor-Bachelorette party here on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was alive and the cooks were talented and enthusiastic! 🔥 The food was good - though some items might seem exotic to a western palate.
Stumbled across this place and this will be one of the places that I’ll definitely be coming back to! Our hibachi chef was great! The show he put on for us was amazing, and apparently he can speak 4 different languages! The interior is also beautifully decorated with a lot of Japanese decors like lanterns. And most importantly, the food was also great! Everything was very flavorful. The steak I got was very tender and juicy.
This is my mom's favorite restaurant, so it's where she chose to go for Birthday #84. The staff treated her like a queen, which thrilled her to the core. We didn't call ahead, but our server did ask if we were celebrating anything special. Pretty clever question. It forces you to consider them for when you ARE celebrating an event. Well played, Fuji Grill. Mom wanted to be entertained, so she chose the hibachi table. We were seated immediately, but we had to wait a hot minute for a chef to become available. That gave Mom & me time to talk about how I'm her favorite child, so that was nice. The server offered Mom a special free mixed drink for her birthday, but Mom declined, which was for the best because when the alcohol hits Mom, she's dancing on tables. And since these tables have actual grills on them, that would have caused some serious burning. The server offered her a Shirley Temple instead, and Mom enjoyed the heck out of that! Our chef did not disappoint. He was a great entertainer & wished my mom a happy birthday no fewer than 12 times during the entire "show." She giggled every time. It was great! I try to stick to keto, and there aren't very many options for that unless you're super-specific. I chose double vegetables instead of rice, and didn't think to tell them no sauce until I watched the chef douse them with it. I'm not one to complain, though, and it was my own fault, so I ate it anyway, and it was delicious. Carbs don't count on your mom's birthday anyway.
We went here originally for the hibachi experience but deciding to just get a regular table instead. The experience was still great. Food, service, and atmosphere are highly rated in my opinion. We ordered sendei spicy chicken, hibachi steak and chicken, miso soup, mushroom soup, and a lavender cocktail. The steak were cooked medium rare per our request. The portions were huge. You'll definitely be taking home leftovers or be rolling like a bowling ball to your car. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. My one issue with the food is that the chicken in the curry were sliced extremely thin. It was so thin that at times, I didn't even know if i was biting into chicken or not. I'm not sure if this is a skimping on meat tactic or it's just how they prepare it. Either way, I wasn't too impressed with it. The meat portions on the hibachi dinner seemed plentiful so I have no idea. The miso and mushroom soups were incredibly tasty. The lavender drink was tasty as well but the color of the drink looks more like gray, especially in photos. I would say the service was pretty decent. Our server was friendly. Our soups and drink came out quick. The main dishes didn't take too long after that. The atmosphere can be loud but we were seated in a nice cozy spot in a corner. It had warm lighting and some curtains that partially covered the corners to make it slightly cozier. Overall a great experience to just dine at a table. The hibachi experience seems like a fun time if you're interested in a visual show. Will be returning if I'm in the area again.
I celebrated my birthday there this past weekend with a party of 16 and I must say it was the best time. The Chef was amazing and funny and the waiters were awesome and on top of the service. Great Experience and we will come back again!
We went because they had true hibachi (where they actually cook the food in front of you) but, even though we called in advance, they said it would be a 35 minute wait so we just got a table. I was really impressed with the ascetic of the table; the curtains made it feel so intimate! Our server (i HATE that we didn't get her name!) was amazing; courteous, fast, polite, and knowledgeable are EXACTLY how I like my servers to be! We had four in our party but our entrées (house salad and meso came out first) were out in about 10 minutes or less. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi meal which was AMAZING. I've never had a steak (cooked medium well as requested) was probably the best steak I've ever had in my life but the veggies, chicken, and rice were really good too. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be back!
We decided to stop here last minute because we were craving sushi. No complaints about the sushi, it was good. I will say the non hibachi tables are way too small for 2 people; we didn't order much at all and we almost didn't have room on the table. I'll probably update my review when we go back to try Hibachi.
Went for a sushi dinner and were satisfied with the food and drinks! The appetizers are a must order here , the Crab Rangoon being an outstanding choice , the Chicken Gyoza was not far behind ! For Sushi Rolls we ordered - Mikes Lobster Roll and Spider Roll! Mikes Lobster Roll was good but it could be made great if the roll is topped with either roe or spicy crab would add a lot to the dish ! Spider Roll - Made well but the bite size was way too big , difficult to put the entire roll in your mouth ! The Hot House Sake was delicious and went well with food ! The hibachi tables looked fun and Will try out those on a later visit! Recommend for good food !
Been to Fuji grill a few times, first time at this location. Sat at the hibatchi table. Food was prepped very fast, fastest I've ever been at a hibatchi table. The food was very good but our particular chef was not really very enthusiastic. He was not rude, just probably wasn't feeling it that day. Would still go back and recommend.
Wow this place has changed. Ill start off with the server, he was great and was hustling. My group of 7 did the hibachi experience, the chef had 0 emotion. I've never had a more boring hibachi experience, along with the chef forgetting the guy across from us, in a different party, couldnt have shrimp due to an allergy. After all of that they forgot they lady, in the other parties birthday, and one staff member, the hustling server sang her happy birthday. Wont be back again.
I had to give you a one-star for atmosphere because there is nothing more distracting than sitting there trying to have a nice dinner having to be blinded by the silly toy vending machine that was five times brighter than any light in the building. Just move it into the front foyer
Sushi was dry tasted old stuck to plate salad dressing looked curdled soup was just broth with one mushroom they gave me salmon instead of the scallops I ordered. Salmon was thin dry and fishy. they brought me scallops and let me keep the salmon which was great because one person in our party did not get their food so they ate the salmon. We ended up getting their food to go. It was chicken noodle soup. No reason we finished eating apps and mains before he got his soup. I tipped well but won't return
