Casa Ramos Willows Reviews
Food was fantastic! We each got the 1 item combo with an enchilada. All food was so flavorful & fresh! Service was great & quick. Would definitely recommend this place for a good Mexican spot!
Casa Ramos in Sacramento offers a delightful experience for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. One of the standout dishes is their spinach enchiladas. These enchiladas are a perfect blend of fresh spinach, perfectly seasoned and wrapped in tender tortillas, then smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that enhances the natural taste of the spinach. The cheese enchiladas are another must-try, featuring a generous amount of melted cheese enveloped in soft tortillas, complemented by a savory red sauce that adds just the right amount of zest. The enchilada dinners at Casa Ramos are well-rounded and satisfying, served with traditional sides like rice and refried beans. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave the restaurant feeling full and content. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a vibrant decor that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. Overall, Casa Ramos in Sacramento impresses with its delicious spinach and cheese enchiladas, making it a top choice for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
Great food ordered 5 tacos I think $5 each is high I don't think I've spent that much. Service was good food was good. Lol sorry for sucky photos yummy
Food was delicious and served quickly during lunch hour! We had plenty to eat and leftovers to take for later.
We both ordered the happy hour taco sampler. What a delicious treat! I accompanied mine with a Top Shelf Ramos margarita...yum! Hubby had a draft Dos Equis amber with lime. Really pleased with the service from Eduardo...efficient and attentive.
First time trying this location where Lola's used to be. Menu the same as their other locations. Carne asada is delicious if a little tough. Good sized portions. The lunch combo plates are a good value for the money, just clarify with your server exactly what you are going to get as the menu description can be a little confusing. Excellent service and free chips and salsa. Good bar with big selection of margaritas
We always have wonderful food here and excellent service! Love their chips and salsa...
Excellent food! Fist time visiting and will definitely be back!
Good food and service. Prices were fair
Great food snd service. Server Arlene is exemplary. A+
Mega delicious seafood burrito. I was thinking I pay for the plane burrito but it came with the side of beans and rice in a big big plate. Most important the seafood had great flavor. My wife enjoyed her food too.
Had a work Christmas party there. Super nice people. Large room in the back was excellent, food great. Hung out at the bar afterwards for 4 more hours. Just great overall experience.
The most authentic Mexican food in the Roseville area. Great service. We take the family for Saturday Lunch at least once or sometimes two times a month .
This place is fantastic, they put time and love into their food. The presentation is absolutely wonderful and the taste matches with the same energy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT!!!
Very good food. The building down the street where they used to be had more interesting architecture. I think somebody said it was formerly an Italian restaurant.
Visited August 2nd..see my receipt. What a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Willows! We stopped in here after driving awhile on highway 5 and really wanted to try this place out! It's really big inside and nicely decorated. Our server, JOSE, was so friendly and personable! We ordered some drinks (margarita was strong!) And was served complimentary warm chips with salsa. He also let us try some of the bean dip (yum!). It was such a relaxing atmosphere and highly recommend - we had fun and we met a really nice man that is known for his bbq expertise. He gave us a sample of his beef jerkey..awesome! (Can't wait to taste his salsas and bbq brisket and more..see his card..fatboysbbq They have plenty of parking along with a generous menu. The employees and patrons were all kind and considerate! Btw..they are moving to another location down the street. The last day that this location will be open is August 3rd. I am so glad we visited here..strong margarita with a great bartender/server(Jose). Good job Casa Ramos!
Stopped here during a roadtrip and not only was everyone very friendly, the food was absolutely incredible. I fed our entire family of 7 for about $100 and didn’t order light. Next time we do this trip we will stay in willows again just for this place.
I wish this restaurant was in my home town, I would come here often. Very clean, friendly staff, great food and service. Spinach/mushroom enchiladas were great. (Bathrooms were immaculate.)
I always come here with my friend when it’s time for a girls date and let me tell you, these guys do not get enough credit. I was contemplating what to order last night for dinner and after asking me a few questions of what I like, they recommended the mexicano platter, once I mentioned I didn’t really like chile relleno unless it’s made by someone specific, they offered me a sub of bacon wrapped shrimp with rice and melted cheese on top. Man that whole mean stole my heart. Not only did they provide amazing customer service, they make you feel like you’re right at home. The manager and his staff are super friendly and on top of their work. Margaritas are always a must too!! Thank you casa Ramos for always making our dinners unforgettable.
This is a great place with great customer service. We were up for the bird migration at Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. We stayed at the nearby hotel. We didn't eat here the first couple nights because the house salsa honestly isn't that great. I overheard another customer ask for the "Hot Salsa" the second night and it was way better than the first night. We made friends with the staff and ate there the third night. Camarones a la Diabla was sweet and spicy just the way I hoped. We'll be back soon.
First and foremost. Shout out to Alan. Best customer service ever. The guy had the most positive energy, although he was the only one working the dining floor. The food was also amazing. That wet burrito was different but amazing. I'm glad I took the chance and ended up visiting. If I'm ever in the area, I will definitely be going back.
Okay, so we have been going to thunder hill race way for a while now. We have yet come to this restaurant. Hands done, we will be visiting this place all the time when we are out here. The food was great and tasted amazing, the service was great and we all enjoyed ourselves. This is definitely a place that is great to have dinner with friends, family, or even a race team.
One of our favorite dinner stops. How they prepared the Chile relleno is one way how I judge a Mexican style restaurant, the other is margaritas and Casa Ramos passes the test with flying colors, much better then the other local chain (which is still not bad). It's a beautiful building, the services good. We've never stopped at the Chico location as the Willows location always is more on our route.
This is my favorite place to eat when we go to Thunderhill for some track racing. Staff is always over the top friendly and they make sure you are taken care of. Food is pretty good and the portions are huge! They have tons of different kinds of margaritas and they also have a full bar and outside seating in the back of the restaurant. If you have dogs you can sit outside on the patio.
Very nice resturant. Service very good. Food was good but I'm more into the older traditional family run smaller venues.
Good food, not fancy, but plenty of seating. I had two chicken enchiladas, rice and beans. Very feeling, yes I was bad and ate a lot chips. They very generous with the chips and dipping sauce. I love my chips...LOL Where you have a small group or large, like our group, they were very accommodating. Pricing was right on par with what one should pay. This was our 2nd time there and it won't be the last.
Mediocre. I grew up in So cal & I love coming to CA for Mexican food. This was mediocre. The pinto beans were good & chimichanga was OK. The pork chunks with Verde sauce was bland, the basic blended margarita was bland & seriously overpriced, the chips were too thick not thin & crispy.
I had lunch with friends here. The setting is nice, with lots of light and interesting interior decorations. The service was decent, but pretty slow, especially given that the restaurant wasn't busy. The soup menu had enticing photos, so I ordered pizzle, which in the photo, looked very substantial. The actual dish was disappointing. It was mostly a bland red broth with a few kernals of hominy and several chunks of fatty meat. I kept crunching up chips in the soup to give it more substance. Last time I order this.
We arrived here for a lateish lunch at around 1:15 PM. There was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant and there were several large parties, so we did have to wait a bit to get our drinks in but we could tell the waiter was busy. We got an order of queso which was $12, I wish there was an option for a smaller bowl size for a cheaper price but the cheese was good. Our orders took a while to come out, probably due to them being short staffed. The food was decent but it was kind of pricey although the portions were very large. Overall I’d give this place a solid 3.5.
I used to go to the Casa Ramos in Placerville years ago and it was a good experience every time. What a disappointment with this one!
I ordered a tosada salad. The chicken with slightly melted shredded cheese resembled warm cat food on top of lettuce. It looked disgusting and I couldn't even try it. The salsa was so sweet like they put sugar in it.I will never come back. On a side note, the server was polite and prompt.
Dude where to even start man. The food is so bad it seems like it could be store bought and for how expensive their prices are you would think they’re good but sad to say it was a disappointment. Tortillas were so dry and def not homemade and salsa tasted like tomatoes from a can. They are way better Mexican food places that I would just avoid this place all together. Also the server disappeared on us and when we wanted to get the bill we had to find him in the kitchen watching tik tok.
Nice people. They took forever to bring out food, when they did it was cold and not good tasting food. Take it from a Mexican.
Very friendly staff and excellent service. Food was def sub par. I did not enjoy it at all.
