DQ Grill & Chill Wills Point Reviews
We were staying at Summer Breeze RV Park in Wills Point TX only 10 min from DQ. Great food and service.
Always friendly and helpful. Food has always been good.
I have always enjoyed eating here for a decade, and today is one day I will remember for a long time, we all make mistakes, and the cook actually took care of my problem, quickly Mike and Juan deserve to be commended they were quick with taking care of fixing the problem, with no attitude or anything, they were so positive and it's good to see that people still care about how they make things and the service they provide. Fantastic!!
Stopped by here after our granddaughter’s recital and it has a down Home feel to it. They actually got my daughter’s order incorrect, but they were quick to fix it and very friendly. Restaurant is a little rundown, but I’m sure it’s been here forever. They make up for it with hospitality.
I have stopped at this location several time when traveling thru. Mostly for a meal, but tonight I just wanted a Parfait. I ordered a Peanut Parfait with marshmallow creme. Young lady at the window (Stephanie) was very polite and friendly. She made probably one of the best parfait that I have ever gotten. Well layered and not sure how but the hot fudge was hot and the ice cream was nice and cold, it wasn't melted at the top and around the edges like you would normally receive. I do not know how she did it but many kudos to her.
One of the better locations, even though high school kids run the place and all their friends come up to visit them at work. The order was correct and the food really good. I recommend this place as the food is as you expect it to be and the restaurant clean. Tacos are way underrated. Love the limited time offerings on the blizzards as well so go by tonight and order your meal from Dairy Queen.
Not a bad place at all nice people good service and tasty food
Staff was okay. Not impressed with the food nor the atmosphere/staff. Unfortunately will not visit this particular location again.
So I went to the Dairy Queen in Wills Point—yeah, that’s right, Wills Point, Texas. You ever been? It’s like if a gas station and a high school football field had a baby and raised it on sweet tea and optimism. Anyway, I walk into this Dairy Queen, and the lady behind the counter looks at me like I just wandered in from a cornfield—and honestly, I kinda did. I order a Hunger-Buster, ’cause I’m a man with goals, and lemme tell ya… this thing? It busted my hunger. I mean, not in a sophisticated French way or anything. More like it punched it in the gut and stole its wallet. Now, I get the fries—they’re hot, they’re salty, and they have that perfect level of regret you need with fast food. You know, that little voice in your head going, “Yeah, you didn’t need this, but you earned it, pal.” And the Blizzard? Oh, baby. I got the Oreo one. They flipped it upside down, which I guess is their big magic trick. I mean, if that Blizzard doesn’t fall out, that means it’s good. If it does fall out, hey—free comedy! Staff was nice, too. One kid called me “sir,” which either means he was polite or I’m getting old. Probably both. Overall? It’s a Dairy Queen. It’s not fancy. It’s not pretentious. It’s just ice cream, burgers, and that comforting feeling like your cholesterol is doing the Macarena. Five stars? No. But for Wills Point? Solid four. Maybe four and a half if they keep the Blizzard flippin’.
Food was to be expected. The restaurant was picked up. I would not want to eat off of the table if food fell off of my plate. The customer service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful with a healthy dose of southern charm.
Not bad for a Dairy Queen. Ordered breakfast today, and it was good, biscuits and gravy not hot, and the butter wouldn’t melt on the pancakes. Restaurant was clean, but they have a fly problem. While dining inside the restaurant I noticed ten (10) plus flies flying around and landing on tables. Lady that brought my food was not very nice, but it’s Dairy Queen. Management needs to take notice of the flies. I’ll return to visit and dine again, and hope the flies are gone.
They didn't immediately greet us and take our order. The taco shell bowl was stale for the taco salad. We stopped back by a second time and was gonna order some French fries to go and no one showed their face at all in the kitchen or counter area. So we left without making a second purchase.
I usually love this place but this last time I went I was very disappointed. I made it online order for pickup and when I arrived there was two cars in the parking lot and just one person in a drive-thru. They answered me promptly and everything was good so far. Once I pulled up I noticed they asked the person in front of me to pull forward. Well from that point things went downhill I waited in line for a very long time for anybody to acknowledge me at the window. Once that finally happened I was instructed to pull forward next to the person that was in front of me in line which was still waiting. So I pulled forward and then the gentleman eventually got his food and left. I'm still waiting oh and meanwhile I have a chocolate shake in my hand which isn't for me it was for one of the orders I was supposed to bring back to the house. So I asked them put my shape back in the freezer so that way they didn't have to make another one and the gentleman was nice and did that. Well I continue to wait even longer and eventually somebody came out and brought me my food and I drove home we instructed the food which I should have done at the drive-thru but we're not perfect lol. Well when I got home I noticed that one burger didn't even have patties on it just buns lettuce and vegetables. Then another burger The helito's ranch didn't have any jalapenos and was just made like a regular double meat cheeseburger. So I called the store and no one answered the phone so I called again still no answer so I got back in my vehicle and drove all the way back to dairy Queen. When I got there I went inside cuz it was still hardly any customers. I go in and explain the situation to the clerk and they took the burger and had them make another. While I was waiting I noticed it was the manager on the grill and I just thought "Man I hope that wasn't who cooked the food lol" anyways just a poor experience this time I feel like they could definitely do better and things could be more professional and organized definitely at this location.
We had to wait 40 minutes for 2 6 piece chicken strip basket and the little girl at the window was so rude. I will NEVER go back.
Young dude at front mumbles and has no customer interaction skills, can barely hear him. blonde girl at drive thru tried to not give the ice cream that comes with kid meal, just automatically put it as the donation instead..? Not the usual service I’ve received here, will make sure to head past to sonic.
Completely annoyed. Ordered a Heath brownie Cupfection ( received an Oreo instead) ordered 2 ,4 piece steak finger baskets ( got 1 steak and 1 chicken instead) asked for Texas DQ sauce ( did not get any in my order) ordered a mini blizzard ( ice cream all over the side ) ordered 2 sweat teas ( got unsweet instead) completely disappointed
3rd attempt with this DQ. Worst DQ that ever DQ'd. Quality of food (if they have it) has been poor every time. Employees wander around clueless, don't know how to take an order, can't communicate, and have terrible hygiene. Will not return to this location again. I'm not sure they should be allowed to use the name Dairy Queen. I get things not always being A+, but getting the same caliber of food AND service time after time? Shameful.
The new cashier was extremely nice however the french fries were still frozen, the steak fingers were cold, my toast was cold. The only thing hot was the gravy. I decided to eat in and immediately became disgusted once i noticed how filthy the restaurant was. Dead flies in the windows, dirt all over the painting on the wall! We didn’t finish our food just threw it away and left
Stopped got a hamburger, it was cold fries were cold, hamburger thrown together with all 7 pickles stacked in the center, mustard oozing over. McDonalds at least serves hot food. Won't be back, and in a small town like this word travels and businesses these days really can't afford to loose customers. Disgusting hamburger...would not recommend restaurant at all. Will NOT be back.
Wills Point DQ harkens back to Texas Stop Sign...as in STOP and go to Sonic. Worst drive thru workers...twice I've tried to order things directly off the ads/screen, word for word, and both times they didnt know what the item was. Today he asked what "toffee" was and said I ordered coffee...not "caramel toffee blizzard" which he said wasn't a thing.
Visited Dairy Queen in Wills Point, Texas today with three friends. The four of us were very excited to have DQ, but our lunch turned out to be a nightmare. I ordered the taco salad with chicken and midway through eating it I found a dead cricket in my bowl (photos below). We notified the manager who was very kind and helpful - I received a new salad and he said he was going to comp our meal.. only received 16 dollars back from a 27 dollar ticket, but no big deal because we were happy to have any form of compensation for the meal back. The four of us ordered desserts and I was very shocked when my friends’ butterscotch dipped cone had ANOTHER dead insect in it. It appeared to be a fly or flea. I was almost in disbelief and frankly incredibly disgusted. I wish I was making this us saying we found two dead insects in our meals/desserts. Yet again the manager was great, but I am utterly grossed out by this Dairy Queen location and will absolutely not be returning.
