The Windham Local Windham Reviews
This is the kind of place I wish I had in my neighborhood. They rolled with our group of 16 people like it was nothing. My bacon was crisp and tasty, and the breakfast burrito was delicious.
This place was amazing! We were visitors to the area and googled a couple nearby stops—we were so glad we chose this place! The massaman curry with Roti 10/10, the pork soup dumplings and red curry were INCREDIBLE! We will definitely be coming back on our next journey up North.
Enjoyed breakfast here on a cold Sunday morning, it was not too crowded around 9-10am . My steak breakfast burrito and tea latte tasted really good , service was friendly and bathroom was clean
Great food and atmosphere. Surprisingly, they have Thai food ( Thai chef) and a Shanghai Dumpling chef from Shanghai. Both are excellent. Good beer selection as well.
We had a great lunch here. Love the orange soda and the cappuccino was really good. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was excellent. The bread was toasted. The steak tacos were great as well. Very good steak. The fatty pieces gave it a richness. We also had the shrimp quesadilla which were pretty good. We didn’t finish it because we were full from the other two items. The restaurant at the time was pretty much empty. Love the decor. Service is friendly and you order and pay at the counter then they bring you the food. I can imagine this place getting really busy during the skiing season because the food is really good!! Highly recommend this place.
Come to the Windham Local for excellent food and great vibes (there was jazz playing all morning, and it seems they often have jam sessions in the evenings). We tried all of their specials (a wonderful array of Thai food) and greatly enjoyed the Pad Thai, Basil Stir Fry, Thai Red Curry, the Veggie Dumplings, and Shrimp Shumai. The Everything Bagel with cheese was also very good. You have to order at the counter, and given they are a bit understaffed, there was a queue to order. The food preparations were efficiently prepared though. They're doing the best they can and we had a very positive experience. Highly recommend!
Stopped for a quick bite without knowing what to expect but feeling the positive vibe when you stepped in was a good welcoming. There was an interesting interior design at far corner of the cafe. Friendly staff, fast and good service. Will be back for a Saturday nite out and live music...
This place used to be called Daly's Coffee, which had closed. It has been reopened about 2 weeks ago as The Windham Local Public House, with a fully renovated kitchen and interior under new ownership. The interior has been much improved and there is a new menu. This is now my favorite morning stop after dropping the kids off at camp! Summer hours are currently 8-5 Thurs through Sun, and set to expand in September 2017. Can't wait!
Friendly staff, cute place and food was good. But too expensive in my opinion. Note that they only serve Thai food for dinner. Seems like they do sell sandwiches for lunch.
Food is expensive for small portions. Food is good. In-person menu is different than online at times, with no notice until you show up. Staff runs around a bit chaoticly. Small with few tables; expect to wait. Not my first choice to go back to. This review is for dinner.
This place was our favorite for a years. But looks like new mountain management affects and places around. Soup dumplings become really small and not tasty at all. No main courses for dinner except pad thai. But most disappointing was mango avocado salad, which was just set of greens chopped in a large pieces like house salad, but for $21. Most expensive and disappointing salad I ever had. Overall waste of time and money at least for a dinner, I would not recommend them anymore.
As a regular to Windham, this place is horrible! Please avoid - overpriced, food tastes awful, staff is rude! The owner also owns Tap House, avoid as well. There are way better options in town like Country store/restaurant, Windham Diner, Chicken Run, Union + Post, Prominence.
Horrible pad thai I've ever eaten. The noodles were not cooked fully and were extremely salty, burning my tongue. I asked the lady if there was anything she could do to make it less salty. I asked nicely, and she replied that it was their chef's style and there was nothing they could do. She didn't even bother to go to the kitchen and ask. I was speechless. The owner or manager didn't want to give us any sort of discount and kept saying there was nothing they could do. She gave us $6 back for not raising my voice. Stir fry veggies with steak: $36 (extremely overpriced) Shrimp Pad Thai: $26 (the worst pad thai I've had)
