La Piccolina Winter Garden Reviews
We loveeee Everything about this restaurant! I ordered Causa Acevichada and it was amazing!! My hubby ordered the Lomo Saltado and he just loved it! I highly recommend the Pisco Sour, it was just amazing!. I have to tell you that Toña our waitress was very professional and friendly. This time we decided to have Peruvian food, but this place offers two of the best cuisines in the world...Italian and Peruvian We recommend this excellent restaurant.
Excellent restaurant, family atmosphere, and the food is simply delicious. My first time we were all Italian and now all Peruvian and both were excellent, highly recommended it!
The food was excellent. Lotta flavor in the ceviche nothing overpowered each other. The octopus is highly recommended. The atmosphere is very very well. No pushing ass no hurry up sit down eat your food and leave. They’re very friendly very kind. The service was top-notch. A lot of other restaurants in Orlando need to take a note
Peruvian and Italian cuisine. We came for the Peruvian since that's where my husband is from. This is the best we've had in Central FL. Very good! Pictured is jalea, lomo saltado, and aji de gallina and chocolate cake. We also had causa con pollo and papas a la huancaina as appetizers. Both were excellent. Would highly recommend this place in Stoneybrook West. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere as my husband would like to hear Peruvian and Italian music rather than Adele. I liked the music though. EDIT: returned to find them playing Peruvian music! Love it!
Amazing experience!!! 10/10 Italian Peruvian fusion restaurant, family owned and operated, food was delicious! for appetizers we had the grilled octopus, shrimp ceviche, flat bread bruschetta, papas a la huancaina; for our main meals we had the tallarín verde, lomo saltado and thfour cheese pizza, for desserts we had the "merengon" (literally one of the best desserts I have had in my life) and Peruvian alfajores. Each dish was so flavorful. The service was great, very welcoming environment, positive vibes, it is evident they put a lot of love in everything they do. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended.
Excellent service! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We ordered ceviche mixto, papa a la huancaína, chaufa de mariscos, Pisco Sour, and chicha morada. Everything tasted delicious. My boyfriend is Peruvian and he could not stop eating the rice and stated it was the best he has tasted here in Florida thus far. Personally I enjoyed the ceviche and Pisco Sour. Definitely recommend. ------------------------- Servicio excelente, bien servido, el chaufa de mariscos y ceviche mixto muy recomendados! Volveremos 😆
First time visiting La Piccolina and looking forward to our next visit already! Lobster Bisque and Minestrone soup were very good. The Minestrone had a great basil flavor and the Lobster Bisque was creamy. The Pollo Saltado was sort of a Asian Pasta flavor and unique! Really enjoyed and would definitely order again. The Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo was flavorful, without being too heavy, and had a large portion. After seeing some of the other food at other tables, we're looking forward to coming back and trying some more items on the menu!
So amazing!!! If you want good Peruvian food this is the spot! I've been here for the breakfast; desayuno Lurin and I am here now for dinner I had the tacu tacy con lomo saltado. Our waiter, Gabriel, has helped us before and he's so kind and checks up on our table often! Would recommend you give this spot a try! I wish I would've taken photos but I was so hungry and the food was too delicious to snap a photo.
My neighbors recommended La Piccolina and it is really a great restaurant. The food is delicious. The menu has options for every taste. The staff is super nice and welcoming. They really do the extra mile to give you a great experience. The owner is super nice and gentle. It is currently my favorite place near home.
This is a great place to dine! Had a delicious dinner last week and just this morning had our first breakfast experience. For dinner, a Peruvian dish that was outstanding. For breakfast, we chose an American style. I had the “Winter Garden” entree. All aspects were outstanding and the service was full of warmth and hospitality. You won’t be disappointed. A real gem for Winter Garden!
My husband and I had the most incredible dining experience at La Piccolina Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was exceptional and comfortable. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely a new favorite spot! If you would like to try a good Peruvian Food also an Italian food, I will highly recommend La Picolina to all my friends and acquaintances.
Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for great Peruvian food (and Italian too!). La Picolina was such a great find! We were craving Peruvian food and discovered this spot that offers both Italian and Peruvian dishes, which made the menu really fun to explore. We started with the jalea mixta, which was fantastic—perfectly crispy and full of flavor. For entrées we had the lomo saltado clásico and the tallarín verde with bistec, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. They also brought out these amazing grilled strips of flatbread with herbs to dip in olive oil and balsamic. The balance of the balsamic was perfect—not too heavy, just enough to enhance the flavor. The owner came by to greet us, which was a really nice touch, and our server Karen was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back and plan to bring family next time to share the experience. I only managed to take a photo of the appetizer because once the food arrived, I completely forgot to take pictures and just enjoyed every bite!
When we were in Peru we fell in love with their pizza! It was a great surprise to see that they had a restaurant here! We order the same pizza that we used to order in Lima and OMG it was the same! We also tried the pulpo al olivo, the lomo saltado and everything was 10/10! Staff was very kind and the place is very cozy and clean
Came in relatively late for dinner, worn out from the long day of work. Was greeted warmly by Fabiola, one of the owners. Very personable and highlighted signature dishes from both Peruvian and Italian. Food was very fresh and taken great care with each ingredient. I’ve had their Aji de gallina and their chicha morada. Finished it with a cappuccino and tiramisu (not in the picture). I’m not exaggerating how eating here felt like eating a home cooked meal that’s very comforting. Felt reenergized afterwards. Whole experience with food and personable service was top tier in my books. Very rarely write reviews unless it’s above and beyond. This was truly above and beyond. I look forward in trying out rest of their menu items.
We are so happy we found a true Peruvian restaurant, our breakfast was delicious with truly authentic Peruvian flavors, can’t wait to come back for dinner! 🇵🇪 🇮🇹
The location was calm not to busy and very spacious. I assumed the clash between Italian and Peruvian cuisine would be to much... but it was the perfect mix of everything from the hand and foot service to even the bread and olive oil. The food is exquisite and the hostess tends to your every need 😋. Again, the bread!! Enjoy.
My family was very excited for me to try this place as it’s one of their favorite spots. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere and decor were great. They were playing peruvian music which is a nice touch. Food was amazing, prepared promptly, generous portions, and incredible taste. Having had lots of homemade peruvian food I can confidently say Piccolina’s food is excellent. Would love to come back and try dinner and some of the italian dishes and desserts.
Amazing Peruvian food! The dishes are authentic and taste homemade, with plenty of options to choose from. The service is excellent, the staff is super accommodating, and the owners make you feel like family. A rare gem where you get fantastic food, great service, and the warmth of home. Thank you, Fabiola!
The restaurant is well presented and by the decor, you can see how the founder’s historical element is being preserved. I ordered Lèche de Tigre, which was definitely different. However, even though I liked the raw fish, my stomach did not. I also had the Bolognese lasagna. That was also different, however the bolognese was not defined. My only complaint of this dining experience is the price of non-alcoholic drinks. Priced at $10 for a small glass with no alcohol is a bit bombastic. I was also surprised to see some dishes lacking plated presentations. The menu is a bit extensive with what seemed to be duplicate dishes with different names. Perhaps some things were lost in translation. The restaurant is a bit overpriced. Be prepared to spend $50 per person and that’s just for an appetizer, a main dish and one drink.
Slow Start but the Food is Good. We were greeted and sat at a booth immediately upon entering. We found it odd that we were sitting without menus or anyone coming to our table for close to 15 minutes. After about 10 minutes we considered leaving but didn’t because I’d read other reviews about how good the food is. We sat there as multiple employees walked by but didn’t acknowledge us or bring menus. I know restaurants are busy but being acknowledged by a server as they walked by doesn’t take any time. I’d already looked at the menu before we headed to the restaurant and knew what I was going to order but my husband prefers to look at the menu at the restaurant before deciding. If we’d had the menus, the wait wouldn’t have been as bad or knocked stars off of this review. A simple fix would be to provide menus when seating the table and letting diners know you’ll be right with them. It seemed the entire restaurant was in slow motion. The service was very slow throughout our dining experience and our appetizer arrived at the same time as our entrees. All of the food we ate smelled great, was full of flavor, and prepared with fresh ingredients. We got the Garlic Shrimp and Mushrooms and it was delicious. I got the Lomo Saltado con fettuccine a la Huancaina and would get it again. It was a huge portion, I was only able to eat about half and took the rest to go. My husband got the Chaufas Especial. He described it as the best fried rice he’d ever had. Unfortunately the food isn’t the only thing that guides our restaurant choices. Great service is just as important as delicious food when we choose a restaurant so we may try La Piccolina again at some point but won’t add it to our regular rotation.
