After church we needed our authentic Mexican flavor fix so we drove to the top place in North Texas, Mijas. When we visited, we had the tradition menudo with bread ( in this part of Texas they like to give you tortillas instead of bread with menudo). My oldest had tacos ( in this part of Texas they sell them individually), my other son had a burrito with egg and beans while my little white Rhino had scramble egg. As usual, the flavor was great. The menudo needed a bit more of a kick so I added some of the red sauce given to me. I also ordered a barbacoa sope which was A+. The menudo has always needed more meat and corn but oh well. If you come from El Paso, most of the Mexican food here is below average but Mijas gives you the flavor, inexpensive price and quick service. Our meals average 50 with tip. 2 Thumbs Up when in North Texas Just remember that parking can be an issue and don't blink or you'll pass the place.

Best tacos in Wylie from my experience. A 3 taco plate w/ rice & beans is only $8 and the margaritas to go dint miss. Check em out

Was craving a good burrito. And I’m not talking about a burrito smothered in nacho cheese. Mijas is the place to go! I had their trompo burrito and it was absolutely awesome. The meat was flavorful, the rice inside the burrito was the perfect amount, and the tortilla was even flavorful. The burrito comes with fries which I didn’t expect, but made it deal even sweeter. Definitely check out Mijas if you want some good burritos or tacos. Not quite LA tacos, but they won’t disappoint and come pretty close!

Just an awesome find in Wylie! A smaller, nicely decorated home-type place with nice folks and excellent, very affordable delicious Mexican food. Their elote was some of the best street corn I've ever had. Two different hot sauces were offered, too. I had the chicken flautas (3 huge ones!) and they were delicious with lots of seasoned shredded chicken, creamy and well-prepared guacamole, Mexican rice, fluffy and well seasoned and refried beans. The flautas were topped with fresh lettuce (no pale white tasteless lettuce here), fresh tomatoes and lots of fresh queso fresco! No wonder the place filled up quickly with lots of workers and couples! They know good food when they taste it, too! The prices were very reasonable, too! My granddaughter and I really enjoyed our lunch here and we will be back the next time I'm in Wylie!

I don’t usually eat tacos but this place makes the best street tacos around this part of town. The rice beans are amazingly good. The best part about it is that the price is so good!!! Fed a family of 4 for under $35! I am talking about everyone had their big portions!

Food is delicious. Staff is very friendly. Even when they’re busy, food comes quick. Great breakfast tacos but the birria quesadilla is my favorite.

Loved it! The entire visit was great. The staff was super friendly. I ordered the shredded beef flautas and my husband ordered the guarache de fajita. The flautas were phenomenal! Plenty of meat and I was so happy they were with corn tortillas. They were crispy and perfect and had plenty of delicious toppings. I'm definitely returning and ordering the same. My husband's guarache was great as well. Come check it out and have your own experience.

I wish I could give this place more stars, it’s clean and the up keep of this place is on point. The food is sooooo gooooood!!! I’m Not just saying that. I ordered a burrito for breakfast. I’m thinking at least 10 bucks I’ll spend right? Nope I got extra toppings and the works for 7bucks and change. The order came out very piping hot. The flours OMG!! Threw the roof with authentic Mexican flavors. Give this place a try u won’t be disappointed I promise u..

Amazing as always! Staff is incredible every time, food is great every time. I always take my food to go as I go on my lunch but I'm always tempted to dine in as they have a great atmosphere and inviting patio!

Really tasty authentic tacos! I got the taco plate which is great as it comes with 3 tacos, beans, rice, grilled onions, radish, and limes! I got 1 barbacoa and 2 trompo tacos- what really brought the flavor was the red&green sauce they provide on the table. Keep in mind the red sauce is more spicy, the green sauce is more of a refreshing creamy little spice sauce. Atmosphere was cute with the pops of color and more industrial feel. Service was helpful & fast.

Taco Tuesday entrees were excellent! Doubled soft shell corn tortillas with carnitas, onions, lime slices, and red or greens sauces were all I could hope for and four were enough to fill me. A large party with one person on the rowdy side that arrived as our meals were served made the atmosphere only so-so from that point on. Before then, ideal for family conversation (middling noise level).

Very good tacos! Clean, fun and fresh atmosphere. Best for lunchtime, but good for a quick bite for dinner also.

A friend of ours told us about this place and a burrito that they were offering, it is a chili relleno and you can have your choice of meat in it. I got the one with barbacoa and it was absolutely amazing!! We also got elote and that's the only reason I gave a four-star, they need to char their corn a little bit and at least throw some cilantro in it. Go get the burrito, it's delicious!!

Delicious street tacos! We ordered the steak fajita, chicken fajita, Trompo, Camaron (shrimp), and barbacoa—each was well seasoned and tasty. The Horchata is also quite good.

A quaint and convenient taco place in Wylie… that is quick in service and the staff is nice. You can’t go wrong with a classic taco plate, which includes three tacos plus beans and rice. Their fried options are good too. Their breakfast tacos are also bomb!

Ordered 4 street tacos, 2 de trompo and 2 fajita and a mangonada. The mangonada has real chunks of mango, very good. The tacos were ok. I thought the meat was a little bland. The salsas were good, the red one was spicy. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Went in for lunch and it was empty. Service was ok. I ordered the 3pc Birria with Consome and an Horchata. The Birria was delicious! The Horchata wasnt all that. I felt it was a bit watered down. First time customer.

Had high hopes for the local taqueria, unfortunately my food was cold, even though order was placed in person , also ate my food right in their parking lot , wanted to eat inside but didn’t want to be the only person in there , red flags 🚩. Portion sizes are really small and minimal meat to rice ratio idk about this place , maybe I just ordered the wrong burritos and should have had tacos 🌮 instead idk 🤷🏾‍♂️ lmk Barbacoa definitely mid.

Edit: if you are aware of the issue with the coin machines for kids being broken… why would you not contact the vendor? You have a sign above saying you’re not responsible, why have machines that don’t work? You must be aware they take the money with no prize due to your sign. Food is good, kiddo was SUPER disappointed that her change was taken We just moved to the area and were looking for a spot where it would feel like “home”. There’s other Mexican restaurants in the area but none like this! This gives Dallas vibes in the best way, going to the bazaar and eating FRESH food and drinks. The portions are great. My husband (not hispanic but a quesadilla connoisseur) said these were the best quesadillas ever. The trompo is rich with flavor. The fajita tacos get a 7/10 for me, I felt the meat could’ve been a bit different but with the salsa y onions asada it’s great. They even serve the tacos with radishes. My 4 year old LOVED the rice and borracho beans. The beans tasted like what we had growing up with the hot dog or sausage in it. The margaritas are great! They offered tajin and chamoy around the rim. We didn’t try it this time but they offer different desserts as well. For the price we spent about $35 but this included a side of fries and a margarita. We can’t wait to go back!

First time experience and everything is open and clean , you walk up to the front place your order and choose where you wanna sit as they hand you a number and they’ll bring out your food , very straight forward tacos , I got the spicy chicken tinga which was a lil sweet to me and the beef fajita could’ve been more juicy and flavorful , the horchata could’ve had a lil more flavor going on as well more spices. Overall not bad at all of your hungry and wanna find a quick bit to eat . They will bring out the red and green salsa to your table as well .

Wow! I honestly thought I would get to leave a great review, guess not. My husband's tacos were gooey and tasted sweet like brown sugar. The meat was more burnt than anything. I've had better tacos at a gas station. The tacos are skimpy...skimpy, burnt meat. It's not worth $2 per taco. The tacos were even laid on top of each other instead of side by side, strange. Need better street tacos in Wylie. Besides the terrible food, the cashier was friendly and very sweet.

My husband came in on his lunch break today and ordered his usual nachos (meat, cheese, and sour cream only). We come here all the time and always order the same thing, but today a different lady took his order. Since we both work in the school district, he only gets a 30-minute lunch break, so he ordered it to go. While eating the nachos, he realized there were tomatoes and onions in the food, which is a serious issue because he’s allergic to both. He immediately brought the order back and explained the problem to the same lady who took his order. By that point, 15 minutes of his lunch break had already passed. She took the food to the back, and it seemed like the kitchen may have just tried to remove the tomatoes and onions instead of remaking the order. She then stood at the table while he checked the nachos again, and he found more onions at the bottom. Her response was to tell him to justpicktheonions out, which honestly felt very rude and unprofessional. When she asked what he wanted her to do, he requested a refund. Customer service is everything, along with common sense. Thankfully my husband took Benadryl after eating some of the food because he did have a mild reaction the first time around. We usually enjoy coming here, but this situation was handled very poorly and could have been much more serious.
