Pub Café Zamora Reviews
The coffee, the service, and the atmosphere is very good. I have gone there since I met Hector and found that he had interest in his customers. His Guatemalan wife Jackie is pleasant also.
Cafe Zamora was amazing. I got the cinnamon honey butter and it was so so tasty. Everyone was very friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. The chai I had sweet and cozy. I will definitely be coming back.
We went here to buy coffee after seeing a Samantha Brown episode featuring this coffee shop! The coffee is good and we are glad that our money is going to help others!
These guys have my favorite coffee in Portland! Their mushroom coffee is amazing (my friend who vehemently hates coffee even said it was delicious) and the baristas are always kind. I got a coffee around Christmastime last year and when my payment for an enamel pin didn’t go through, they let me have it for free :)
These guys made me a particularly good latte. Cappuccino is great as well!
The staff really gets it. They are knowledgeable and service oriented. It’s a small place but the vibe is warm and friendly. Great place to have a coffee or chai with a friend. Or, get one to go.
This is in my top 3 favorite places to get espresso / coffee in Portland. The staff are also kind and friendly. It is decidedly the best value coffee shop in the area - a quad shot latte with syrup is about $5. Their espresso drinks are smooth and rich as well. I have not yet had a bad or even an “of” drink from this cafe. PS: I recommend the cardamom latte!
Best mocha I've ever had! This was my first time in, and I wanted to try their standard mocha. I almost always have to ask for more chocolate, and was super happy to find it on the sweet side. Looking forward to coming back!
This place is really picking up! I love it!! And I'm so happy the owner is getting more business than last year. A bagel shop moved in under the same roof, and now there are more food options readily available, when you go here to get coffee or other beverage. The decor is pretty cool, not boring hum-drum at allll. The atmosphere allows for friendliness among strangers. ❤️ Prices are...competitive. And they have alt-milk options including coconut (which is at some places not available). Highly recommend!!
My favorite neighborhood cafe. Hector is amazing, he grows the coffee in his home town in Guatemala and brings them back here where he manages and works at his own shop. The batistas are amazing as well, and you can now get a bagel at Puddletown bagels inside too! The best place in town to get authentic Guatemalan coffee in bulk.
As a fellow Guatemalan, I was so happy to see a Guatemalan coffee shop in the neighborhood, and even happier when the coffee tasted so good! Nice soft coffee and never bitter. I always get an iced oatmilk chagaccino. The owner is so sweet and so informative of what he does and where his coffee is sourced.
Insanely good coffee with balance. I had a Vanilla chagaccino. The flavor was fantastic, and the sweetness was perfect. It was enough sweetness to enhance the overall flavor, but I did not feel like I was drinking tons of sugar like Starbucks. The coffee also didn't cause me indigestion like most coffee does because the acidity was much lower. The person working (not sure if owner) was kind and provided excellent service. The shop had a lot of space that wasn't utilized. They did have a couch and some chairs to use, and books for children. Also had a chair and table combo near the door. Several plants throughout the shop. Overall, an absolute slam dunk. Will be returning and avoiding Starbucks or other similar places. Oh, and the prices are ridiculously affordable. Wishlist: Would love to see them utilize this space better, if only to give me more excuses to come hang out. Also, give me a 32oz size option for iced drinks, or just IV bags of your coffee so I can get it mainlined into my veins.
I haven't actually been to the cafe itself but the coffee is absolutely delicious, and an unbeatable price even by what generic low quality supermarket coffee charges. Quick delivery - I order 2 lbs at a time for $25 (that's 32oz - most brands charge $16 for just 12oz) and it's usually delivered next or even the same day. Highly recommend
Café Zamora is a Portland gem. Fantastic coffee available packaged or by the cup, Guatemalan tamales, and cool shop setup. The owner (Hector) is such a friendly guy who is always fun to talk to. They have a really great story and socially conscious business model. I recently bought some of their coffee as presents via their website and was amazed at how quickly and effectively it got delivered. Highly recommend checking them out at the shop or by buying their beans at Market of Choice or online!
