So good, place was great so much kindness and help. Oh do not get me started on the cinnamon roll pancake. Oh my goodness, let me tell you it’s soft. It’s sweet. It’s a miracle the way they put it together.
Breakfast is always on point! The service was great. Wife's pecan pancakes were a little undercooked, and they were very quick to fix the problem. Got her new cakes out, and 2 people came by to check and make sure the new order was to her satisfaction. Always good food and service. We will be back for sure.
This place has been good to me. The young ladies that wait on you have always had a great attitude even when they are slammed. My food is delicious. This is heartland breakfast not left/right coast "cuisine". Diner coffee at it's finest but you can get foo foo coffee too. It's been the best breakfast in town so far.
Food was delicious and staff were amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! The fruit waffles were a delightful culinary experience, perfectly prepared and the fruit was incredibly fresh and tasty. The waitress, Ashely, provided amazing service, making the overall dining experience memorable. A definite five-star recommendation! Definitely coming back!
We stopped here on a road trip and are so glad we did! Absolutely darling place. The waitstaff are so friendly with true texas hospitality and warmth. The breakfast was very good; the banana walnut pancakes were some of the best i've had. A little gem in Abilene. Also family friendly, lots of kids and a big private stall with a changing table. One of the waitresses gave our son a few toys and stickers.
The Flipping Egg is a must-stop breakfast option in Abilene. We come to Abilene a few times a year to visit family, and we cannot leave without stopping at our staple breakfast joint! The service is always incredible and helpful. Never leave your coffee below half-filled! They are friendly to kids and make everyone feel welcome! Cinnamon Roll pancakes and Texas Hash!!! That is all.. no need to try anything else!!
Great experience! We went on a Monday. They only have half dinning room open on that day. We were seated fairly quick. I always get the cinnamon pancakes! They are delish! My husband got the normal, also tasty. Service was fast and efficient!
Good breakfast place. A little pricey but a full meal for 2 under $50 isn't bad for a pass through town.
Love the banana walnut pancakes. Food is always in point. Service is hit or miss but mostly good experiences. The 4 * is because it is usually busy and servers aren't always great at those times.
Immediately greeted by someone who was very well-mannered. My family is instantly seated. As soon as we were sitting down, the waiter was right there & ready to take our drink order? Which came out very quickly, even my mocha coffee. The menu was gone through by our waiter, who knew the menu through and through. The ETA took a matter of maybe 10 minutes to arrive. Everything was delicious. Love is coming here!
The flipping egg Is the best! I didn’t get pictures because we were so ready to dive into our meal. The service was constant and attentive. It was so cool how all of our coffee drinks came out in various Christmas mugs! Everything was perfect.
Highly recommend! Someone told me about this place and I am so glad they did. The food was excellent! I had the Texas Trash and a Sweet Cream Pancake and both were excellent. The portions were plenty with extra so could definitely share enough for two. Our waitress was amazing and I wish I could remember her name…..Martie maybe? One of my friends had the skillet breakfast. She said it had a biscuit on the bottom and it was delicious. Another friend had what they called The Normal and she got the biscuits and gravy with it and she said it was amazing. Another friend had the Texas Hash and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely go here again when I’m in Abilene TX again.
Always hopping here. Great breakfast food. Friends said the lunch menu was decent. I had the amazing which what pretty good. The cinnamon rolls were probably the best of all. Great place for a morning breakfast.
Been to abilene before but my first time here. It may seem like a typical diner but they also had modern takes on good ole country eating. Great iced mocha to go w my Texas trash hashbrowns. Will definitely come again!
This place has become my favorite go-to spot for breakfast. The food and staff are amazing!
Visiting from Houston. Wanted breakfast and coffee. Omelet was made with only what I wanted. The in house made hot sauce is AMAZING! I got the reaper. Try it. I dare you! Ask for Samantha's table. She's a wonderful server.
This place is always amazing. It gets busy and wait times can be long to get a table. Just shows how good the food and service is. Thank you for a great meal and experience.
I don't normally give 5 stars but, I actually really love this place. This is our second time here and the food is really good. I don't know what they put in their waffles but they are my fave. My kids love their whipped cream. My husband got this delicious beast today and it was the perfect amount of savory, spicy and sweet. So good. Also both times we have gotten the most sweetest waitress. Once on her Birthday! We are new to the area but so far The Flipping Egg is our go to breakfast spot. Haven't been for lunch yet but I'm hoping it's just as good.
7 ladies met for breakfast. All ordered different things and everyone was happy. Good coffee. Fun mismatched cups. Fluffy pancakes, avocado Benedict, scrambled eggs or over easy we all enjoyed the food and attentive service and young lady brought the cash register to us, didn’t collect cards and disappear. That was nice. Great way to start the day.
This place is a great spot for breakfast or brunch, the only unfortunate thing about it is how early it closes! The service is great and the food selection is unique while also being super delicious.
The food was good and the service was good But I do feel the interior atmosphere. It is lacking.
We arrived around 10:00 m. We were seated within 2 minutes from walking in the wait area. We asked for a booth and the hostess was gracious and led us to a booth. The waitress was at our booth soon after we were seated. She took our drink order. This was our first visit, so she gave us more time to review menu. She answered our questions as we ordered our food. Food came out hot and fresh. Best hash browns, biscuit n gravy. Coffee was nice and strong. Perfect. Refills were offered but not needed. Excellent service, great food and one of the cleanest breakfast eateries in Abilene. It is now our go place for breakfast. Keep doing what yall are doing and the tips will keep a coming.
The best breakfast ever ! I’m here like all the time ! Never had a bad server , great service the manager great everything great the food amazing !
There was a short wait time due to high volume of customers but that's just means business is good and I certainly understand why. It's been awhile since I've visited, the last time was at the old location, but other than that everything was as good as always. I got breakfast and it was spectacular. The waffle was huge and the sausage was OMG WOW. Best sausage I've eaten in a long time. I'm super glad I decided to stop and eat. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Keep up the excellent work your doing it right. Hope you have a wonderful New Year. Came back to the flipping egg and got my breakfast with biscuits and gravy this time instead of the waffle and the quality was as delicious as last time. The biscuits and gravy were hommade and phenomenal and I'm a gravy snob. And hommade biscuits are my favorite. Y'all's were fabulous. Don't listen to the haters. I give good reviews because I'm honest about food and service. Love y'all.keep up the excellent work.
Love and enjoy every time when I visit Abilene. Pancakes are fluffy and thick. Customer service is warm and inviting. Like eating at your grannies where you feel right at home.
Pretty much a diner atmosphere here with good selections for all size appetites! Seemed like at least one pancake on every breakfast offering! We both commented on the sausage patties which were very tasty. I'd come back and try lunch, thinkin that's probably good also!
Loved our server, Marney. She was delightful and well versed in the menu. I ordered the Texas eggs benedict, and my boyfriend ordered the omelet. The omelets are large, and my only complaint is that I could have used more hollandaise sauce. Overall, it was delicious and reasonably priced.

Came here after the Dixie Pig told me they closed at 12:30 on Saturdays. They were super friendly. Food (bacon, eggs, and pancake) was great. Very good ice tea. Super friendly and attentive service.

First time here. It was good and our server was nice. Her name is Hailey. We got seated pretty quick, although I will say I guess the host was really over worked cause she was alone and it was pretty busy so when we went in we were kinda ignored until we really got up close to the host stand and she talked to us while looking down. But I understand those moments. She was nice and smiled at the baby when she would pass by. My husband really liked that they have Carolina reaper sauce. He loooooves hot food, so this was a nice surprise to find out they had. It's not to expensive for what you get. We got two meals and a kids meal and coffee and a juice for under $50. It is a lot of food, maybe just a bit bland which is wild with all that gravy and cheese mine had. We will probably be back, but only for special occasions.
TFE succeeded in moving their location to 4138 Ridgemont (Lowes) a few years back - always a risky decision in the restaurant business. Their breakfast menu still has many variations, with some interesting creations. For example, one variation is Eggs Benedict on an avocado base, instead of on an English muffin (pictured below). The restaurant interior is not creative, however, being stark and mundane. As a breakfast restaurant, expect to pay premium prices for very good breakfast fare. On weekends, you can also expect to wait up to 30 minutes to be seated, which is evidence of the coming good breakfast. The service friendly, yet oblivious that it’s okay to supply replacement utensils as required without being asked.
The food is still delicious but the atmosphere is just not the same as it used to be. They are short on waitresses so don’t expect ti be waited on quickly or get your food quickly. I will still go because of the food
The food was good and the staff were amazing and friendly, the menu was a bit small but it fine and had free refills on coffee
This was our first time eating here and it was so good! The food was amazing and the servers were sweet, the only issue we had was that it was so unbelievably hot inside the restaurant. I'm 4 months pregnant and I have POTs so it really impacted the entire rest of my day getting overheated. We'll definitely eat here again, but I hope next time it's a little colder
This is a good locally owned restaurant. They also serve much more than breakfast. I had the Triple, which comes with 3 eggs, 3 meats (your choice of bacon or sausage), and 3 pancakes. It was all very delicious. By the time you buy a drink I would figure about $10 per person, including tip, if you're budgeting. But I'm sure you could eat here for less or more. I'm not sure if the wait staff was over worked or if they were understaffed but it seemed like they were having a hard time being attentive to their tables. I'm making that judgement based on the service at my table and those around me. The server was great, I just don't think she had enough time to be as attentive as I typically like table service. I will be back to check it out again. Overall, the restaurant has a small hometown feel, great breakfast, and decent service.
First time visiting. server was very friendly. didn't have to wait long for a table. Food was really good.
Great breakfast place, especially if you're skipping the mediocre hotel breakfasts. Pancakes are very nice, and would be even nicer if they upgraded from milk chocolate chips to semi-sweet.
Had a traditional breakfast with eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, and hash brown. The Bacon 🥓 was thick lean (best ive had at a restaurant) and perfectly cooked, the gravy and buscuit was good, only the hash brown was undercooked and all white, it was "ok" (like it browned and crunchy on the edges. My booth was comfortable enough to relax while waiting, atmosphere was pretty laid back (nice). Overall was a really good meal. Service was decent. Fix the hash browns and it would be 5 star
Bring your earbuds when you come in because you can expect at least a 20 minute wait before you can be seated. I tried a huge meal called Texas Trash because the details sounded interesting with a side of buttered grits on the side. I give the meal a decent 7/10. I mean, it wasn't horrible 🤷 but it was nothing to write home about either. Loll This was our 1st to this location. There are only 2 stalls in the women's bathroom so you can expect a wait there as well. I'm 5"9 223lbs... so If you're anywhere my size then I advise you to pick the handicap stall because you can barely turn around in the smaller one. I stubbed my toe just from trying to get out the smaller, clostrophic stall. Psst... im newly 47 years old and tend to run... there also seems to be limited air from the ac in the mismatched bathrooms. Will I return to the flipping egg? Sure......but it won't be anytime soon.
Food is inexpensive and tasty. The server seemed a little bit rushed but that might be Sunday morning as well. However it's always crowded, so I doubt it. Atmosphere is kind of bare bones but great for families as the booth seating is large. Recommend the omelets and benedicts!
Food is good but they are slow inside. I think for the size of restaurant and servers if they hustled more they could serve more people minimizing wait time. It was a 35 min wait for a party of 3 many people saw the wait and left.
I get the same thing every time. The Cali eggs Benedict without the bread. It's pretty healthy & better than any other breakfast around Abilene. The chai tea latte is great too!
The Flipping Egg is an okay local spot, but my experience was mixed. The food quality was just decent, and it felt a little bit overpriced for what we received. While most of the food was fine, the pancakes and the syrup were definitely below standard and not that great. My main disappointment, however, was with the billing. I was charged an extra fee for whipped cream I ordered from my pancakes, but was missing. I didn't make a fuss because I didn't notice the charge until after I had paid, but it made the overall meal feel like even worse value. I hope they can improve their accuracy and consistency.
Food and service was good! Had about 20 min wait and the staff was friendly. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the prices. Drinks were way too expensive and lots of extra costs that added up very quickly! $100 for 5 people to eat is too expensive for breakfast.
This place is a great breakfast place. I've only been for breakfast, so that's what I know. The normal is hard to beat. But the texas hash plate is another great one. But that's not even the best part about this place. The staff is super friendly and funny and just overall welcoming. Ask for Cody he's a master at his craft. He's a really awesome server, and one big reason I keep coming back each weekend :)
Came in for breakfast this morning. Only half the dining room was open and it was seat yourself. We both got omelettes and they were delicious. My husband got two cinnamon roll pancakes too. They were also delicious! Also got a side order of bacon ($3) and they only give you two pieces. They charge $1.50 for toast as well. The omelettes only come with hash browns. They charge for sugar free syrup, which I don’t care for. They also only serve coffee w/ sweet n low in case that’s not your thing. We are Splenda users so we brought in our own. Coffee was just okay. Service was great. Waitress was very friendly. Would eat here again but may try somewhere else next time I’m in town for breakfast. Didn’t get any pictures of the pancakes because we tore into them.

Why was the restaurant/ bathroom so cold. I understand when it's summer but it's fall. I'm being picky here but they need to change the orange juice they serve. I didn't enjoy it.

For a chain restaurant, this place serves a good fresh quality breakfast Everything is hot when served, biscuits are fluffy, eggs cooked perfectly, bacon is crisp and sausage is juicy!
Ok breakfast, pancakes felt a little rubbery for me they weren't soft or fluffy. Eggs and bacon were good, hashbrown was meh. Prices are not bad 17$ for myself but i did order salsa which they charge, they do not offer chula, tapitio or valintene hot sauce they also have no mimosa 😑 6/10 breakfast expirence.
Staff is absolutely fantastic! Food is incredibly mediocre, especially for the price. Hollandaise has no lemon and forget asking for any. They have no fresh lemon. B&G is tasteless. Eggs are good and so are the pancakes but at their prices, you can get eggs & pancakes somewhere else that are just as good and more reasonably priced.
Quite shame I would have given 5 stars but this Texas and the didn't have tobacco or and I had to pay extra for salsa the food was good but no tobacco just un american
An omelet and coffee $28, they charged for hot sauce that he suggested. Wouldn't go again.
Grabbed breakfast here and it was good. I was expecting more based on the variety on the menu, but it was worth the price. I ordered the Texas Benidict, which is an eggs benidict with bacon instead of ham. It was good but slightly cold. My wife ordered the eggs, bacon, hashbrowns with a cinnamon pancake. I was impressed the presentation actually looked like a cinnamon roll. She enjoyed it too.
Their breakfast is good. But don't like if you want any kind of hot sauce..they only have salsa and they charge you for it. Its not that good. But anywhere else in town its free. WTH.
Been there 3 times. Food is ok. I feel it is over priced. Pancakes taste like Hungry Jack mix. Latte was good. Will try going back and order lunch food to see if i like it better, which they serve for breakfast as well. Service is amazing, which is the only reason i gave it 3 stars.
Our server, William seemed very unimpressed and unenthused and did not want to wait on us. We had to literally grab any other server to take our drink order to get refills. I ordered the Texas hash and I would not recommend it. It has way too many hashbrowns and cheese on it and for the $19 price tag is not worth the money. I am pretty bummed because I really wanted to go here and we chose this instead of another restaurant..
The flipping Egg,well,I was hoping for a bit more. Our waiter was very friendly, with great service from her side, but on the food side, well, the food was bland. I was really looking forward to enjoying The Texas Benedict, but unfortunately, it did not deliver. The hollandaise sauce was lacking salt and flavor. The tomato created a very soggy texture on the base of the English muffin. I'll maybe try the omlette next time.
This place is normally always busy. My buddy and I had breakfast there two days before the end of the year. Our waitress was great. The food was Ok. Nothing special. What I was struck by was that almost half the dining area was closed off. I'm assuming because of lack of staff? We got there at 8 and we were the only two people in the joint. It got busier by the time we left. My buddy like the hot sauce they make in house he put on his eggs. Other than that, no big deal.
I’ve been here before, a couple of times never thought to give a review until now I and my family of 6 came in they told me about 15 -20 minutes for a table a family of 7 came in waited for 10-15 and got a table I was totally confused I went to the desk and noticed my name but also notice that the family of seven was seated before me even though they came in after me and name was below mines I notice several names was scratched that came in after I understand a party of two or maybe four maybe easier or quicker to seat however we were there before everyone else we were ignored and wasn’t told until I approached the person at desk then a lady comes out to says they were still looking to seat us after a family of 7 was seated when we were finally seated the booth seat and table were wet with water we had to ask the waiter to dry it out the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating and to say the least the food was good if your going for the food then it’s a good pick but if your going for the service then I would say don’t expect to much if your of color you won’t get treated fairly sadly not to make about race but the way this country is being ran right now people are feeling free to do what they want

I could have got the same breakfast at IHOP for half the cost. The food was nothing special with no reason to go back. Real disappointed to have spent 39.00 for what I got.

This restaurant wasn't great or bad but it doesn't live up to the 4 stars. The service was average. The food was also just average. First I asked for lemons for my tea. Sorry they don't have …
I got a breakfast skillet. The biscuits on the bottom seemed stale and it had very little gravy. I had the server bring me a side of their salsa. Will say that the salsa was very good as was the service.
Kinda disappointed. I got the eggs, benedict, I asked for my eggs to be poached soft And didn't get it that way. So if people don't know how to poach an egg, there's a problem. Anytime you get eggs, Benedict, and you get poached Eggs, they are soft, runny eggs. I shouldn't have to ask for soft poached Eggs get it right. I can help you out with that. Take you to school. And then they put it in a little tray, like skillet thing, plastic ridiculous, trying to save a buck, apparently the silverware is like 10 cents each. Come on, you guys charge $15 for this plate. You are not cheap by no, means not impressed. And then they charged me a $1.50 for a 1 oz container of hollandaise sauce. Wow, how about just give it to me.
I was charged per pancake and then had to listen to the manager justify why they charged per pancake. I went faithfully and the prices did not add up. I went two days before I placed this order and paid way less than what I was charged today. The food is good but never again! It was clear there was a mistake. Instead of making it right, the manager justified the error. I tried to support local but I shall return to IHop for my usual!
We went out of our way on a road trip for a local small business. Sadly, the food was not well prepared. Mention of the problem did not garner any concern for making it right somehow. Plastic plates and cups as you can see is representative of the quality in every other aspects of this establishment.
I recently visited Flipping Egg in Abilene, TX, and I have to say, it was quite disappointing. I ended up spending $30 for a single breakfast, which is absurd for this area. While the food was okay, it was definitely not worth the high price tag. What frustrated me the most was how they seemed to overcharge for every little thing. The waitress was friendly, but she failed to mention that she was upcharging for everything she offered. It felt a bit deceptive and left a bad impression. For a breakfast spot with medium-quality food, the pricing is completely out of line. I recommend the management take a serious look at their pricing structure—there’s no way this kind of cost is justifiable for what they’re serving. Not a place I’d rush back to anytime soon.
I didn't take any pictures but there probably would have been a social media surcharge. The food was good bordering on great with a solid 4 stars. However, the upgrade charges are a bit ridiculous. Already the breakfast plates start with a high price but there a little things like almost 3 dollars unchanged to go from regular gravy to sausage gravy. There was t even enough sausage to constitute one patty or link in there. Additionally they do not stock any hot sauces (Tabasco, Texas Pete, Cholula, Capacious, Louisiana etc) but they do have salsa. Only they charge you $0.50 for it. A pancake plate with chocolate and peanut butter was over $20.00. The low score is to reflect the lack of value.
The only reason I didn't rate the food is because were never waited on. First of all when walking into a full service restaurant you would expect to be greeted and sat down, but there are signs telling you to wait on a clean table then seat yourself. Once we got a clean table we waited for service and ended up leaving. All the servers looked like the last place they wanted to be was there. Who wants to have service like this? Thanks, but IHOP is right down the street with a pleasant atmosphere and servers who are happy you are there. We will never return to The Flipping Egg.
Very disappointing for the food. French toast was very bland with no butter. Eggs similar to a budget hotel, sausage patty very poor quality. Heb had better frozen items. $15 plus 5 tip, very bad for a 20 dollar bill.
Food is absolutely nothing special. It looks great and lacks all the flavor. French toast barely has any flavoring besides the syrup and powdered sugar. Hash browns are cooked well. Sausage tastes a little interesting but not bad, bacon needs to be crispier, pancakes are nothing special, chicken fried steak is nothing special. I could cook much better food. Lowkey wish I could talk to the chef so I could teach them how to flavor things. The only thing worth the money was the texas trash. The cafe latte was NOT a latte it was practically just straight coffee and tasted gross. It was not a normal latte.

Terrible food, okay service. I have tried thier food many times, never had a good meal. service at the original location was horrible. Its ok now, but I’m done trying them for good.
Waitress was great! Let me start by saying that! She was really friendly and super nice! Clean restaurant and decent pricing. We were sat and given menus. First thing we noticed was the “sugar free syrup $.50 extra”. We are a family with a type 1 diabetic so we wanted to speak with someone about this. The waitress brought the manager over, a younger gentleman, when asked why they charged more for sugar free, being as we had a type 1 diabetic and he can’t have the sugar, he simply stated “I pay more for gluten free because I have celiacs disease and we make our syrup from scratch so regular syrup cost less”. There was no conversation about how they are punishing people by charging them more because of diseases they can’t control. He had a very rude attitude and no willingness to listen or have any common ground. We will not be returning. The absolute worst customer service we’ve encountered in Abilene!!!
Hostess needs to understand wait times. Told 20-25 min wait 55 ask and was told 20-25 min. Every person who walked in was told 25 min. So disappointed as we really wanted to try this place.
I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. I sat down with my family, and as we began looking over the menu, we saw that sugar-free syrup was an extra charge. I asked the waitress about this, and she responds, saying the owner charges for anything and everything "extra." I asked to speak with the manager prior to my family ordering. Upon asking the manager about this, I stated that it didn't matter how small or large the increase in price was this was unreasonable. I informed him that my son is a type 1 diabetic and this seems to me to be almost a punishment for a disease that literally no-one has control over. He responded and said that he understood he had celiacs disease and he had to pay more for his gluten free food. His words at the end of this statement was " it just is what it is." He stated it costed more to make the sugar free. I can understand that to an extent but that still brings me back to type 1's have absolutely no control with their disease happening to them. And they literally have to pay a cost every single second of every single day! Though both of these diseases are terrible and I hate for anyone to have to deal with either, their is no comparison! This is absolutely abysmal performance on the part of the owner and manager. Do better! We left and paid 13$ for three waters a coffee and a tea.
I am so disappointed in how they run this place called several times no answer why do they have a phone? Decided to go in and eat and showed up to no hostess, no greeting and literallly half the restaurant blocked off. No one around to even ask a question. And how they have u waiting right next to the ppl eating is not good takes away the appetite majorly! I really hope they are made to change this I absolutely love their food. But customers should be treated better and the restaurant fully used. Because today being a Monday they were a full restaurants worth of ppl waiting when they didn’t have to. Even if it was bc they only have one cook maybe think about getting more? Would love to enjoy this place again if changes are made.
So I want to explain our whole experience today on Fathers Day. We showed up and had a 30-45 min wait which was fair considering how busy it was. The problem actual began once we had to head into the store due to the winds picking up. My husband was standing right next to the door when it whipped wide open and broke on the hinge shocking not only the 3 of us standing close but the staff and patrons in that area. My husband was able to close the door and hold it closed before the hostess came over and gave him the OK to lock it. Over the next hour my husband was completely drenched from the rain. Unlocking and relocking the door over and over again. The 2 young ladies in the front would not have been able to safely deal with that door in 60+ MPH wind gusts. The owner came out beyond dismissive and walked away telling the host to man the door herself. She gave zero thanks or acknowledgement to my husband. He received more gratitude from other guests and the 2 hosts than he did from anyone else the owner and family especially. To make it even worse in the eye of many others who said they hoped the store would cover his meal (at the very least) we paid for everything ourselves. After this experience my husband refuses to go back to eat there again. Any level of acknowledgement from the owner would have been appreciated. The owner put not only patrons but their own staff at risk for a lawsuit. As it was I watched the metal panel off the side of the door fall on the host while she was dealing with the still broken door.
It seems like every time we go in or order online for delivery, we have issues. Today we ordered the Texas Benedict and it did not come with the hollandaise sauce. This is what makes the meal. We had it delivered since we have a new born and couldn’t not dine in. When I called, I was told they could not deliver the correct order but I could drive to get it. Again, I paid for a delivery since I could not dine in. I was offered a cinnamon roll next time I come in. What an offer ! If I was the owner, I would be embarrassed for how your manager “resolved” my concern. Customer service is not a priority for your establishment. I would have sent an employee to deliver the sauce and this would have been resolved. I would have even paid for another delivery fee. Yes, this would have been an option if your “manager” would have cared about customer service and had common sense.
Waited 30 minutes for a table checked on once through the entire meal no one was asked for refills waitress had 3 tables and was still overwhelmed and continuesly checked on other tables. The food was okay chocolate peanut butter pancakes tasted like chocolate chip pancakes. French toast tasted like toast waffle was cold and stale eggs were burnt. Heard a lot of great things about this place definitely didn’t live up to what was said. On top of that called we’re told no call ahead reservations and while waiting for a table someone else walked in and said I had call ahead reservation. Weren’t brought the check when asked still took care of people who came in after us first. Would not recommend coming here. Toilets in restrooms were not working properly either.
Well, I've heard some good reviews for this place but it was a mixed bag for sure! We visited last Saturday October 18th about 7:30 am. I ordered "The Normal and my Grandson ordered French toast and scrambled eggs. The service was great, the food (at least mine) was pretty awful. My eggs ordered over medium were obviously cooked on a blazing hot grill, so the outside was tough AND CHEWY and the inside wasn't even warm. I'm not an egg snob BUT a breakfast place with "egg" in the trademark has zero excuse excuse for not getting the eggs right!.. The sausage patties(4) that we received were gray and rubbery and reminiscent of something you might get at the dollar store. INEDIBLE! There is an ART to being a "short order" cook and producing great food. The FIRST responsibility of the owner/manger is make sure the ingredients are top notch( i.e. sausage patties) the second is mastery of the grill temperature and knowing the hot spots and the cooler spots of the grill and matching the food to the right spot and time of contact. This production is the "magic" of a great grill or diner. . few ever get there these days. With the OJ and Coffee along with an 18% tip (the waitress was awesome) my bill came to just shy of $50!
