If you are looking for a locally owned, restaurant with a great tasting burger, this is it! Very simple restaurant with home made burgers and fresh fries. Seating is limited and you have to self serve your drink but the food is definitely worth it. The owner and his wife know most of the recurring patrons by name. The fries were hot and crispy. I was hesitant since I did not know the area well but I was pleasantly surprised. It was recommended by the auto shop manager at the corner and I am glad he did.

Literally the best cheeseburger I’ve had in recent memory! The bun wasn’t too big and more in proportion with the burger. The meat is scrumptious and the flavor profile is spot on, not too salty and cooked to perfection. The tater tots are crispy but not burnt. So good! My brother has been begging to take me here for years. Well, today was the day and I am only upset that I have not tried it sooner. The owners her are super sweet and the burger is awesome. It is straight off the grill hot and they butter and toast their buns which really took it to the next level for me. I’ll also mention their veggies tasted fresh too. Truly made to order burger and I’m also convinced their tater tots are home made. 100% coming back!

Ahhh this is hands down the best burger in Dallas. The folks here know how to season a damn good juicy burger. It's so perfect with the cheese 🤤🤤. My all time favorite Burger Joint. I remember going in early 2018 when there was at most one old gentlemen eating the burgers. Now theres doordash and plenty of people coming in and they are all over the metroplex! Super friendly people and they are awesome! Its definitely on the heavier side of burgers but PLEASE get the double with cheese. Doing a single does not do you justice. And if you must, grab it with bacon! Local sourced buns, fresh grinded beef, delish sauce, what is there thats missing? Their special frys are just okay, they load it up with plenty of sauce for sure. But I think I would rather just eat regular frys. Which feels like 5 guys almost where I get a ton of frys.

Incredible burger at a very reasonable price. If I could go to the back myself and personally thank the cook, I would. But I would be wrong to not inform you that the fries are weak. They just taste like potatoes. However, I believe the burger is good enough to the point that it doesn’t matter. Honestly now that I think of it this is easily the best burger I’ve had. I’m glad it’s at the good price it’s at. Also, the Dr. Doctor soda available here is marvelous. Better than Dr. Pepper if I do say so myself.

Chili can be hit or miss at burger joints, this was a HIT! Juicy, well seasoned burger. Added chili and cheese and bacon to a single, fries and a drink. Totally satisfied, will return.

This is just a really damn good burger. We have a really great amount of burger options around us, but this just became my new favorite. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, obviously cooked on a griddle with all the crispy surface areas that we know is where the best flavors are born. Rocket Burger isn't trying to be anything fancy. They put the focus on exactly what they should - the food and the service, and I wouldn't change a thing about either. The burgers, fries and tots were spot on. My wife commented that she was "sad it was ending", as she took her last bite. We will be back very soon, as I'm already craving all the flavors that are still in my mouth. Keep doing what you're doing and we will keep consuming.

This place is a tiny owner operated burger joint with a simple, but delicious burger menu. Classic smash burger and hand cut fries. Add-ons like jalapeños and onions are free! Try the spicy mayo for your fries, yum! The burgers are made to order and the ingredients are all fresh. You cannot beat the value either.

Today it was our first time trying their burgers and cheese and chili fries and they’re awesome the taste was amazing and Tio was very nice and polite. Will definitely come back again soon.

Great burger place tucked behind 7/11. The burgers were fresh and hot and the lettuce and pickles were cold. Great fresh cut fries 🍟 as well. Make it a point and stop into this place for lunch and grab a burger. Worth the stop and very fast. Recommend coming early as this is also known by the locals and is busy from noon on if you want to dinner in.

Perfection. With so many burgers, gourmet, $25, greasy, to stop here where there is no distractions. Just burgers, perfectly proportioned and cooked is a return to simple. There really is nothing else, they are focused, friendly and know customer names. No chicken. Just burgers. A real gem at a fair price. Will be back again and again.

Grabbed a burger here because it was nearby for work. As I stood in line (it moved quickly) I noticed how busy they were yet still super friendly. I ordered the single with cheese and tots and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. There is no surprise they won a YouTube TV award for top 100 places to eat!

It's a little bit on the pricey side but worth the flavor this Burger brings to the table. I'm not a picky eater and I'm satisfied very easily but if I was to criticize my order, all I can say is the bottom bun was a little soggy from the pattys grease/juice but happens to all burgers. The tots were perfectly crispy and not over or under cooked. Today's order was a Single Cheese burger $7.39, Tator tots $3.09 and a small drink $2.59. for a Total of $14.15.

I came here today for the 1st time after doing some "best burger in Dallas" research and also reading a ton of Reddit comments, where Sky Rocket was mentioned quite a lot. The burger was excellent and I will absolutely be back! I had the double with cheese, all the normal fixins' and added grilled jalapenos and onions. So very, very good. The fries were very fresh and delicious, but I would order them extra crispy the next time I go (gotta get the tots, first, though). I got there right at 11 and was the 1st customer of the day. Service was fast and folks were extremely friendly. I was only there for 30 min and saw at least 4 regulars come in who were greeted by name by the staff. That's always a very good sign IMO. The place is tiny and only has 9 total tables, most just 4 seaters. I recommend getting there early if you want to eat there and really get to enjoy the freshness. I highly recommend it.

I ate here or lunch today and it was absolutely killer. I had the double meat bacon cheese burger with jalapeños and man it was good. The meat was really juicy and tasty, yet had a delucius crispy fringe on the outer part of the patty which was a nice touch. The bun was nicely buttered and toasted and just the right amount of crisp to it. Go there, get some, you will not be disappointed. Update: OMG, I am addicted to eating here. I recently was at saltgrass steakhouse eating a fillet mignon, it was ok, but I kept thinking... man, that sky rocket burger was actually way better than the steak. I know, that sounds kinda crazy, but it is true. Update: Just when I did not think it could get any better, I added "double" bacon to my bacon double cheese burger with jalapenos... Excellent burgers!! I met a friend for early lunch on a Friday and got there just as they opened. I had to wait about ten minutes for my friend and in the mean time about 15 folks poured in to order ahead of us. I was concerned there would not be enough seating but several of those who ordered and were sitting down waiting for their food had ordered to go. There is not a lot of seating so just keep that in mind but having said that, a group of teachers managed to squeeze in and pulled some tables together - about ten of them in all. Service was friendly and relatively fast for as busy as they were. My friend had been there before but this was my first visit. He ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered a double burger with bacon and jalapeños. They typically have Mayo and special sauce so I went with that suggestion though I usually prefer mustard and ketchup. We both ordered fries, I had a soft drink and he had water. The soft drinks were an off brand so I had “Doctor Dr” and it was fine…I went back for refills more than once. (Worth mentioning - they had excellent crushed ice). Burger was fantastic - meat had good flavor, the bacon was thicker than at most burger establishments and the over all flavor was great. Paper towels on the table were handy because the burger was a little measly and I consider that a good thing. Fries were hot and crispy and very good. Portions were just right for me. I would definitely suggest Sky Rocket to anyone in the area.

A top 5 burger right here. Super supple bun, meat cooked perfectly on that flattop making that char crispy. The spicy mayo and secret sauce combo paired with the pickle and grilled onions is outrageous. The tots and fries were on point as well. The special sauce is what they call “fry sauce” in Utah. Basically a mayo/ketchup combo. Seating is limited but the staff was amazing and very welcoming.

How have I not left a review for Sky Rocket yet? I've been coming here for years. Hands down, it's the best smash-style burger in DFW. My wife and I went on a journey in 2018 trying all the burgers in DFW trying to find the best. Sky Rocket has it. The owners are friendly and recognize us. If you’re craving a delicious burger, visit Sky Rocket! The place is your no frills kind of mom/pop place. It gets busy, so be prepared to park on the grassy area of the parking lot, and wait for a table (especially if you have a group larger than 4). This restaurant is counter served, but the lady working at the counter was super nice! Everything was absolutely delicious! Do not get greedy and order every and any sauce & roping to accompany your burger since they are complementary- it might end up tasting overwhelming (one of our friends did that and was disappointed in his burger). Anyway, the fries were hand cut and delicious, and the burgers were great! The small fries were more than enough for the both of us to share! I loved the old fashion sodas they had as well!

This burger is straight bangin' - best burger I've had. Single patty and fries makes a good meal at a good price. Bun is toasted, patty is juicy, vegetables fresh, and their secret sauce is the banger. Service is great. Seating is very limited, especially when it gets extremely packed during peak lunch/dinner hours (line out the door kinda packed).

Burger buns are buttery toasted on one side, not completely a smash burger, but close to it, juicy and pink in the middle. Delicious, would come again and bring others. Fries were standard, totes as well. Secret sauce is a little more tangy compared to other secret sauces.

The 5 star reviews are the real deal. Anything less than 4 are just bad reviews to put a bad review because the burgers here are so good. Juicy. So full of flavor. Order them as they come and add grilled onions and you won't be disappointed. I had a single and my husband a double with bacon. It's now his favorite place to get a burger. Will definitely be back.

Quite possibly the best burger in town. The juicy patties and the secret sauce is what makes it so special, not to mention that the meat is never frozen. Worth the drive! During peak hours, be prepared for a long wait though. On a Saturday afternoon our wait was over 1.5 hours!

When this place was randomly chosen as a lunch spot by my co-workers, I had no idea I'd experience a rare occurrence. As other reviewers say, it is a hidden gem. The set up is pretty simple, you are here for a burger and some fries and that's what you get. Not any burger though. The bun is buttered and the smash burgers are fresh and hot and when you're trying to fight the heat, there's juice running down your fingers, but you don't mind because your taste buds are begging for more. Overall it was a satisfying experience and I was in need of a nap after it.

Best burger I’ve ever had! Nothing fancy about it, but loaded with flavor. Perfectly seared and seasoned patties on a soft sesame bun with In-N-Out like sauce. Make sure you go to this location. It’s still owned and operated by the originators and the quality and service is much better than the Frisco and Deep Ellum locations.

It's just awful--to think these folks put most of the nearby burgers to shame. It's not even fair. Their simple smash burgers are just the best in my humble opinion. I don't know how they can take a double patty and drop some fried onions and maybe bacon or jalapenos and make it so elevated. I always prefer the tots--can't go wrong with any side. The special sauce and spicy mayo are really good, too. It's just a perfect burger and the sides are excellent. I tried this original location on a whim years ago and it has become my go-to spot when I can be near. The ambiance is no frills and the service is brisk but actually cares about a good experience. It could be, honestly, a top 3 burger for me of all time. Keep up the good work, y'all.

We tried this burger joint out because it had great reviews, and we agree. Sky Rocket Burger is a classic burger restaurant that exceeded our expectations. Mrs. Flip Out and I both got the single cheeseburger and we got Little Flip Out a Jr. Burger with cheese. All of us really enjoyed our burgers. They had great flavor, and everything was made to order. We also shared an order of tater tots and fries. They were both delicious with the secret dipping sauce we ordered as well. Service was very accommodating and quick; definitely worth the stop if you’re wanting a great burger!

This restaurant is definitely a local place. Burgers are decent. The house sauce is really good. But, the staff is amazing. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. When we pulled up we were trying to make sure we were in the right place because it looked like an older building, but had so many great reviews. We figured out, it is definitely the staff. You order your burgers (junior, single, double, or triple patties), add your free or premium toppings, a side of fries, and a drink. This isn't your typical fancy burgers, but something simple, like back in the 2000s. I got two single hamburgers, two fries, and a drink for $22. The place was popping when I dropped by. Despite them being busy, the burger came out in 10 mins, and the number of fries was no joke. They REALLY filled my fries basket, but I'm not complaining. They serve old classic sodas, along with some jalapenos for your burger. The house sauce was pretty good, and biting in that freshly grilled burger brings me back to my elementary days. The hand-cut fries were yummy as well. It seems like most of their customers are local, and they visit frequently. While eating, the owner checked each table to ensure we were doing great and managed some conversations with frequent customers. Take some time and drop by, you won't regret it!

Yum yum yum yummmmmmm. I absolutely loved this place. I got the double cheeseburger with bacon and all the fixings and sauces. I was very happy with the flavors and the service. The lady was very nice and handled waiting to put in a to go order for us with no complaints or issues. The man who brought out the food was friendly and knew what we had and dropped it quickly to us. He was great and came back to double check that we were happy with everything. The tater tots were fire and crispy. I’ve liked how they did their cheese fries as it was just regular cheddar melted perfectly on top. I can’t wait to go back and become a regular. I travel all over the world for work. I've been eating hamburgers for at least 45 years. This is positively one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Extremely courteous and friendly owners. The atmosphere is what it is. You're not there for ambiance. Truly an outstanding and delicious meal.

If you like smash patties, this is the place for you! The prices are fair and the meat is fresh. It’s a very simple menu, so this isn’t the place for a novelty burger. We ordered and had our food within 10 minutes. My wife loved that it’s one of the few places that let her order the junior burger. If you like smaller portions, they are happy to accommodate at Sky Rocket. The fries were average but we didn’t load them with toppings as it was our first time. With that burger, the fries will be secondary in your mind anyways. The man taking orders was very kind and helpful as well. There are only a few tables and parking is a bit weird as well. We had to park along the back side of the building.

The burgers are perfectly made to order and when it arrives it is super hot and tasty. The outside definitely makes it look like a bad place, but looks are deceiving. We drive out of our way to come to Sky Rocket Burger. Been here many times and I swear, it gets better!! The tater tots are crispy and salty, perfectly paired with some ketchup, or just eat them plain!! Definitely recommend a yummy Fat Boy ice cream sandwich afterwards!!! While there are many locations, this is the original and the BEST! In my opinion, I have tried others and NONE are as good as the original. 100/10!! Definitely recommend!

Hole in the wall, small, nothing fancy, and absolutely phenomenal! The lady who was working the register was so nice and our order came out perfectly! She even remembered who got each burger! Sky Rocket Burger is one of those hidden gems you hear about from friends, and it lives up to all the hype. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The burgers and fries here are to die for--seriously, some of the best I've ever had. The service is just as impressive as the food. Before my friend and I even took our seats, they cleaned the table right in front of us, which was a nice touch. I ordered the regular burger with the secret sauce, and it was incredible. The chili cheese fries were amazing too, perfectly seasoned and cheesy. And to top it all off, they have a real soda fountain with superior soda flavors, not just the usual Pepsi or Coke. It's a small detail, but it really sets them apart. I was also impressed to see they have a Yelp plaque for being one of the top 100 restaurants--something I've never seen before. Overall, this place is fantastic. 5/5 for this charming, must-visit restaurant!

This was the best cheat meal I’ve ever had. After grinding all week and weight lifting this place slapped. Their sauce is amazing and I don’t normally like fry/burger sauce but there’s is perfect. It’s tangy, thick, and perfect. Veggies were super fresh and the burger was well seasoned. Their fries were SUPER hot and fresh. No soggy BS unseasoned fries at this joint!! The place is unique, and the burgers are delicious and fresh. I had the lettuce single burger, fully dressed; it was perfect, and the fries and sauce were incredibly fresh. Highly recommend!

There’s a lot of good burgers in DFW. But in my opinion this is the best smash burger in town, by a wide margin. Their fries are also top tier, as is their secret sauce. Plus, everything is CONSISTENTLY great because of the people there. The owner and his wife are super nice, and I have never eaten there that the owner didn’t come out from the kitchen or from behind the counter to ask me how everything was. The food is not cheap, but nothing is anymore. I would much rather spend money here than at a chain restaurant. If you love smash burgers, then this is a MUST try.

There are three burger joints that have embedded themselves into my memory. The first was Steak and Shake in the early 80s because my grandma used to take me there. The second was Uncle's Burgers in South Korea because it was the only place a soldier could get a decent burger. Now, the third is Sky Rocket Burgers. This is seriously the best burger I've eaten in decades. I used to go to slider joints on the Harley, just to try out new mom and pop shops. They were good, but Sky Rocket is amazing! I will take my family there so they can experience the best burger and fries ever! Plus, the Fry Sauce is magical and addictive! Believe me when I tell you, you want this experience!

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. The outside exterior at first looks off but the food more than makes up for it in addition to fast and exceptional service. The secret sauce is delicious and the staff was very friendly. One thing I could do without is that it was a little pricey. I got a double with cheese fries but the taste was absolutely delicious. This may be the best burger I’ve ever eaten in my life NO JOKE. I recommend anyone in the area to come and try this place.

Hidden in plain sight.This hamburger haven is exactly what you’re looking for if you want an original burger. Scott the owner is very personable and makes your experience memorable. The menu is simple and easy to choose. Hamburger was outstanding and the French fries complimented the meal. I chose the root beer to duplicate my childhood memories. This is a throwback restaurant with emphasis on quality, service, and food. If you are at Coit and GBT 190 , turn in here and get a great burger. They have other locations too .

This place, mostly hidden behind a 7-Eleven, has a great cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger had a good balance of ingredients, and the meat was juicy. The fries appeared to be freshly cut. If that were all they sold, I'd give it 5 Stars. Their cheese fries, however were strange, since they didn't melt the cheese on the fries, only put shredded cheese on them The physical environment was minimalist to say the least. No art, no decorations, no music, just white with a bit of red accent color, in a strangely shaped space. A problem with food as ordered was corrected happily and promptly. Recommended highly as an alternative to franchise food, but stick to the cheeseburger and fries.

Great old fashioned burgers like they used to make, grilled on a seasoned grill. Had the cheeseburger and it was cooked to perfection. Also had the cheese fries and they were great. Fries were crispy and covered with just enough cheese. I've seen others complain the burgers aren't seasoned well, and they could use more salt and pepper, but they have those condiments on your table. I also wish they had Ranch dressing for their cheese fries. Service is VERY friendly, helpful, and not pushy. The manager came around to check on us, which I liked. All ingredients were fresh and well prepared. There's ample parking and easy access. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was the ambience. They're in a tiny, old, room with few tables, so at busy times you should go early.

It was between 3 and 4 stars to me. The food tasted great, I'll be at the meat is a little bit too salty, which takes away a bit from being able to taste the beef flavor. Prices don't match the atmosphere. Cost me $22 just for a triple burger and a drink, no fries or anything. So it's about on par with Culver's or Keller's might even be better and those are much cheaper. But I really like that they do lettuce wrapped options, and had unsweet tea and fake sugar packets. That was able to help with my diet, So I'll give y'all four. 👍

Solid burger, flavorful, super saucy, and good prices. They offer both American and cheddar cheese options (possibly more). They have a fountain onsite for sodas as well and Cabot ice cream sandwiches available for purchase.

Sky Rocket Burger was completely full (and it's a small space) on a Saturday at 5:30 PM, so that was the first sign we were in for a treat. The staff was friendly and personable, and it seemed like they already knew most the customers there by name. Though they keep the menu short and simple (burgers, fries, and tots), it's all hot, fresh, and delicious. I do find it a bit odd they charge extra for cups for water, however.

A very good burger. Smashed patties that are crispy on both sides and have very good flavor. Secret sauce is a must have. The buns are buttered and toasted on the inside. Had the double with cheese and grilled onions and wouldn't hesitate to have it again. I also had the rocket fries, which have cheese, secret sauce, and grilled onion. Very tasty, and all the toppings help because the fries in their own were not crispy enough. Alone, they also have a great first taste but an odd aftertaste, maybe the oil. Not bad, just a little different. Solid place, easy to recommend and prices match the quality.

Good burgers but way too much mayo for my taste. Next time I will ask to go easy or not at all as clashed with the secret sauce. Plus in a nice hot burger, the mayo took down the taste. Fries were seasoned well and not too salty but on the limp side. Service was excellent and very friendly.

Great burgers. We googled “good burgers” near us and we thought, ok lets go there. We walk in and it’s pretty warm with a few tables and chairs. I wasn’t impressed at first, but thought we’re here now. We order from a very nice man. We didn’t wait 5 minutes and our food came out. I’ve never in my life picked up a double cheeseburger so hot! And the fries were also just cooked and super hot. Burgers come out wrapped and the presentation is nice and clean. This place satisfied our burger cravings. We all ordered grilled onions and it did make our burger heavy, but they were tasty. I’ll try raw next time and a single as well. These burgers are really good, don’t let the ambiance keep you away. We saw quite a few “regulars” there as well. This place does not have beer or alcoholic drinks.

Ambiance: It’s a pretty small restaurant, but there was enough seating during dinner time. The noise level was moderate, and the vibes felt homey. The customer service was really good as well! Fries: The large size was definitely enough to share with three people. The fries were light, airy, and had a nice crisp without being soggy. Sky Rocket Fries: These were decent. It’s an off-menu item similar to animal-style fries. The fries are topped with Sky Rocket sauce, melted cheese, and grilled onion bits. There was a bit too much sauce for my taste, but the flavor was still good. Single Cheeseburger: The portion and price were both great. The burger was full of flavor, and the toppings were fresh. I liked the mayo along with the Sky Rocket sauce. This is a very solid and classic-tasting burger.

We ate here on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30. Place was packed- a clear indication that the food was worth waiting for- and it was. 😁 The burgers were stellar. Fries were good and the kids enjoyed the retro style sodas. The place is small and definitely about the food not the ambiance. We really wanted to sit down and eat there; so we chose to wait about 20 minutes for seating; but lots of people took their food to go. The menu is super simple: Burgers. Single, double or triple. Choose your toppings, choose your fries and if you want a drink. We spent about $13/person for a double burger, fries, and a drink. Something interesting to note (and a lovely surprise for a fast food joint) the service was superb. Super friendly!
