Opiniones de Town Tavern Alameda
Service was outstanding! The hostess was attentive, but what stood out most was her sincerity. She ensured my comfort while I waited for others to arrive. From the items we ordered, our favorites are as follows: cocktail- Basil Gimlet food- Doughnuts with chocolate sauce I would recommend this place to others and I am sure I will revisit with friends.
Love this place! Great whiskey selection, staff and food. But why the boxes stacked all over the back side of the bar?! Throw them out, buy a cabinet. Easy fix that goes a long way to the atmosphere/vibe.
Town Tavern is more than just good food and drinks. It's a true community hub. The friendly staff and welcoming vibe make you feel right at home, and the events calendar keeps things interesting with things like bar classes, tastings, and themed parties. Overall, Town Tavern is a fantastic spot to relax, unwind, and connect with others. If you're looking for a great neighborhood bar in Alameda, this is the place to be.
Drinks food and staff are great and the prices are affordable
Finally tried Town Tavern for the first time tonight for dinner. We started with the French Onion Dip and Potato Chips. We thoroughly enjoyed. That may be one of the best French Onion Dips that I’ve ever had. If I could order a small bucket to go, I totally would. I had the Ahi Sliders. Very tasty but a little messy. He ordered the Tavern Burger and enjoyed it. Not greasy and sautéed onions were a nice touch. Fries came with both dishes and they were plentiful. The beer was cold and hit the spot. The service was excellent! We were constantly being checked on and appreciated that. Glad that we were finally able to try out Town Tavern but wish they were open on Sundays. We’ll definitely be returning.
Great creative drink selection--so many fun drinks makes you want to come back and try a new one each time. Got the Modesto Mule, very tasty. And would have loved to try the food, as others plates looked tasty. But we did get the gooey cookie and it was soooo good. Fresh baked with homemade Irish coffee ice cream. Mmmm. Nice atmosphere too. All the nice little touches to make it a unique bar experience.
Drinks here are made to perfection. Try out their Old Fashion and you won't regret it. They also have a good selection of bar food. Received prompt service and their servers were all attentive. Highly recommend.
I was here for light snacks and some drinks and really loved it. The service was a little bit slow but very polite and the drinks were excellent, with a lot of variety and pretty good prices for this area. It was quiet enough here to have a good conversation. I'd definitely come back.
Nice atmosphere, friendly crew, well stocked bar. The Sunday brunch is delicious! We had the tater tots poutine and the French toast and we're pleased with our choices.
I love first Fridays in Oakland, but I hate the busy shoulder to shoulder crowds now. Me and my friends wanted to go bar hoping, but where do you go besides uptown Oakland? My second favorite place to go is Park ST in Alameda. I feel like it's a fresh clean scene that already has been here. I figured we'd start at Habanas for a drink and move on to the next. I suggested Town Tavern as the next destination. Why? I've been once with my brother and friends. The first time we went my old fashion was the way it's supposed to be... The way I like it. The food was tasty. This time around I wanted something different. I decided to get a Caipirinha, I didn't know they offered it here. DELICIOUS! The vibe is chill and uplifting. The service was great. If you're looking for a new joint, this is the place to be. Stop reading my review go check it out now!!!!!
I always have outstanding dining experiences at Town Tavern! It is very clear that this restaurant is dedicated to providing a top-notch experience for all. The food is great—each dish is bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. The menu offers a variety, so there’s something for everyone. The drink selection is equally impressive. Their cocktails are not only delicious but incredibly creative. The bartenders truly know their craft, and each drink is a delightful experience. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a fun night out with friends! What I found particularly noteworthy is how attentive and considerate the staff is, especially when it comes to ensuring the comfort and safety of women. The staff is friendly and vigilant, making sure all customers feel secure and valued. It’s refreshing to dine at a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without a second thought. I love going there with my gals! Town Tavern is definitely a spot I’ll keep returning to and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Alameda.
The environment is great and staff is pleasent. Their expertise as a craft cocktail bar comes through in revolving specials, and exciting spirits demonstrations brought to you by brand reps. Try the food, the french fries taste like the first time you've had McDon's.
Great service, great drinks, great atmosphere every single time. Easily our favorite spot in town!
This place is truly a gem! I almost hate to share it cause I'm fearful I'll never get a table if I do. But Town Tavern is great and I want them to pack the house every night and be successful and make boat loads of money because they deserve it. Their service is AWESOME! they're so friendly and so good about checking back, refills, just all around great service, food, atmosphere. Always a joy eating and drinking here. I also really appreciate their menu and the vegan/vegetarian options especially those meatless toquitos! Oh boy those are delicious. Everything is just done extremely well. They've set a bar and they exceed it time and time again and that's something that's noticed and so appreciated. I'll get coming back to Town Tavern again and again because I always leave happy, tipsy, and grateful for my time there. Bravo Town Tavern! We see you and we're grateful 🙏♥️🍻🍷
What a discovery! Came here for the first time yesterday and had the best of first impressions. To kick things off I ordered a Scotch Old Fashioned with Laphroaig which was not only made with care and craftsmanship but had the added touch of a block of ice embossed with the letter T. This was followed up with the Brussels sprouts which were the best I've had in a long time. They had that roasted crispy crunch on the outside but a juicy sweet center with a honey sambal vinaigrette, incredible. Lastly, I've heard rave reviews of their bacon fettuccine with chicken and sausage. Savory and bountiful, this did not disappoint. Lastly, hats off to the service who were so professional, personable and humorous. Can't wait to get back.
One of the better bar I been. I would recommend, nice stuff, clean and in a nice close everything. And they have food.
When the staff's enjoyment at work is palpable, you know you've found a good spot. The good times didn't stop at the extremely pleasant service. It was hard to decide what to order because everything sounded so good. The Cajun fettuccine sounded great, but I couldn't find a picture on Google (not a problem anymore 😘). I took a risk and ordered site unseen, and was very happily rewarded. The dish is a thick portion of deliciousness!!! The perfect amount of proteins, chicken/sausage/bacon, were brought to life with a very mild spice and perfect noodles. The bartender wisely told me that there would be leftovers if not splitting the dish. I treated myself to crazy town good leftovers for a late breakfast. In short, highly recommend you dine or drink here, and when you do, I believe you will be delighted by the staff, overall atmosphere, and the Cajun fettuccine if you liked this review.
I can't believe It's taken me this long to review my favorite spot in Alameda! I was so excited to see a new spot opening up on Park street back in 2018. I quickly found myself supporting them. They do things right here. So right that I had my "last supper" here before moving out of state. Great craft cocktails with fresh ingredients, knowledgable and friendly staff who are engaging and care about what they are making and the patrons they are serving. Hospitality is not lost here. The food is really good elevated bar food. I often crave their fried chicken sandwich. Also, don't sleep on the brussels... delightful. They've been switching it up culinarily since I started going back in the day. No more pierogis though, which is fine. I can't wait to get down there this summer for a chicken sandwich and an old fashion (or two) and to see some friendly faces!
Yum yummy yum! The food was GOOD!!! The service was so nice, management was great. Definitely love the atmosphere here, Definitely recommend the ahi slider, But the beef wagu slider is delicious. Cocktails amazing, always seen this place always wanted to try it. And now that we have we definitely going to come back!
Vibes: lively, friendly, and classic Drinks: well balanced, strong, and made well by great bartenders Service: we sat at the bar and Eric took great care of us. He gave tailored suggestions and we loved each drink Food: wagyu sliders were good, wings were crispy, and brussel sprouts were just OK could've been crispier Overall good time. Would DEFINITELY be back!
The service was great. The food was sooo delicious. We are going back for sure

Delicious food, excellent service, great drinks.....the right combo for my daughter's 21st birthday.
Nice little pub in Alameda, stopped by to have lunch, had the wagyu beef sliders, very good taste and well served with a lot of fries, mostly dedicated to cocktails as only around 5 tap beers were available, had a Ghost town Hazy IPA, can sit on the bar to watch sports with a friend, have a date for cocktails on high top tables or even have food outside, they have a couple tables outside, recommended although I would suggest watching the menu first if you are planning to eat. Cheers 🥂

This is my husband’s and my go-to spot for cocktails and upscale bar food. I say "upscale" because the food is top notch, especially the sliders, not because it's expensive. Prices are in line with other places in Alameda. We always get one wagyu and one ahi tuna slider and split them. We've also gotten the donuts a few times. The drinks are excellent. I've never been disappointed, and I'm often pleasantly surprised by how much a drink exceeds my expectations. I think we're slowly working our way through most of the cocktail menu. We've discovered some new favorites like the Corpse Reviver #2 and a milk punch they happened to have once. It always feels like there's something new to try. Extra kudos to Heather. I think she’s the manager. She’s a total pro, friendly, knowledgeable, and always has great suggestions. If given the choice, I’m pretty sure this is my husband’s number one spot on Park Street. Great location too.
Eric is an outstanding bartender at Town Tavern. He’s creative, attentive, and clearly knows his craft. I asked for something custom, and he came up with a cocktail that was perfectly balanced and unique. His attention to detail and ability to tailor drinks to your taste really set him apart. If you’re looking for great drinks and excellent service, he’s the one to go to. Highly recommend.

Didn’t eat here just went for a drink with Ed after the KISS show in Oakland. Good drinks, has potential to have good food. Limited bar menu only though.
Meet a couple friends for cocktails and hors devours. We had edemas, and chips with guacamole. It was good. Staff was friendly and took time to chat us up a bit. Seems like a good place to hang out. And it's close to the movie theater, so that's a bonus.
Great little bar in the center of alameda. Very friendly staff. Good menu selection, bar food that is. Reasonable prices. Cash only however so make sure you bring greenbacks with you. Centrally located.
Drinks and bar service is very good, snack are nice stick to the snack, entrees are okay but miss the mark. The burger trys but is underwhelming, fries are good but not great. This is a nice spot for drinks and snacks though. Their cocktails is where they shine.
Great atmosphere and high-end small plates. The wait staff is incredible – super attentive, kind and patient. A bit pricey but the cocktails and beer are pretty average for the Bay Area – their Happy Hour pricing is better and it’s less crowded if you can get there before the mases.
The drinks were super delicious got a drink with mezcal and it was spicy. We had an overall great experience I think they should consider a different seating arrangement maybe long counters going around the perimeter of the restaurant and a few counters in center. I am a big person and get anxiety from the layout. Nervous about elbowing a server, holding a tray and then bathing in a liquor shower!
Nice place to get a drink. Wait staff are super friendly. Lots of outdoor tables. Right in Park Street so there's lots of people watching. The fried chicken salad is tasty. The doughnuts are a treat.
Solid vibes. Passed by here and said “woah this place looks cool.” And a man sitting outside said, “come on by”. Come back to find him again, seems he’s the manager or owner possibly? We fully enjoyed our experience. Sat at the bar and got to see all the drinks being made and made conversation with the friendly bartender. They have a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails which we tried out and the ahi tuna sliders. The only minuscule drawback was the acoustics of the place. I think it would’ve really made it a true 5/5 on ambience if there was a bit more noise dampening ceiling and wall structures.
Clean simple modern vibe. Bathrooms are clean/nice. We ordered drinks. Couple minutes later we ordered food. The food came after about 15 minutes before we got our drinks… Makes ZERO sense the place wasn’t that busy. Then when they did bring our drinks, she said “I got five drinks here for you”. I said there’s only four of us 🤦🏻♂️ The sliders were super yummy. The nachos were pretty good and the brussels sprouts were really good too.
Food taste very good, had better pattay, portions were kind of small and pricey. The place needs some improvements. Ok for lunch.
Had a super substandard experience the first time around ( when they first opened) but am glad I gave this spot another whirl. Clever, super tasty cocktails and friendly staff. Will try their food again next time. ❤️Last word with Mezcal
Lychee cocktail was delicious! Sweet and dangerous. Staff were friendly and wait times were not bad. Brussels sprouts were ok, towards the bottom of the bowl they got oily and lost their crunch, but it was a large portion. The ahi sliders were delicious, and they did have several vegetarian meals.
Caught the last half of happy hour! I was originally going to La Penca Azul but It’s looking somber these days, so I crossed the street to check this place that -strangely- had some open tables outside. My server was super friendly and kindly replaced the beer I ordered (it was a Pilsner because I am not into hops, but was still too hoppy for me). I upgraded to a Gimlet by his suggestion -which was delicious and I wish I had taken a picture of- it was lemony and perfect! My second cocktail was the not happy hour Basil Gimlet (intense and too sweet!). I didn’t try the food because it looked ok, but not amazing 🤷🏽♀️ Moral of the story: come to happy hour but beware what you order. PS. I ended up ordering a glass of ice to dilute the super sweetness of my cocktail 😛
I had the wagyu beef sliders, brussel sprouts, and doughnuts. It was delish. I just wish they also had a caramel option for dipping sauce for the doughnuts.

The food and drinks are fabulous here. Been in multiple times and have very much enjoyed it. I tell people to go here frequently. **Only downside is it gets VERY (busy because it’s VERY good)

Outdoor sign for “$8 cocktails for happy hour” was very misleading, only certain drinks on a special happy hour menu were included... which is fine, but a happy hour menu was never presented and we ordered drinks under the assumption that we were ordering under happy hour prices. Also the Manhattans were very light on the whiskey. I would recommend American Oak over this spot.
