Opiniones de Red Star Albans
This is my daughter's 3rd year at Red Star and we couldn't love it more. She loves it for her teammates and coaches, as well as the technical training, skills and team mindset she's learned. I love it as a parent because Red Star takes into account each child as a whole player, and not just a number on a team, how many wins they have, and pitting teammates against each other to get ahead. Red Star has a great balance of learning technical skills, growing individually and together, winning, and learning from losses. We're so grateful to have found Red Star and to be apart of the Red Star family. Would highly recommend to anyone!
My daughter has been with Red Star for 4 years now .... This is more than just a soccer club ( we have 2 more kids in soccer and have experience with all major clubs here in the area) - Red star is amazing. Every single coach we have come across seems to truly care for each individual player. My daughter has been guest playing at several teams here and she feels comfortable with every coach and team. Her skills have developed a lot, socially as well as on the ball! While playing in very competitive divisions the coaches manage to keep a great balance between commitment, training and fun ! She is looking forward to every practice and values her teammates and coaches. Red Star has imbedded a lot into her character! I cannot say enough how much our families loves this club, Thank you Red Star!
We really appreciate the strong sense of community at Red Star Soccer. The players support each other and focus on teamwork rather than competition, which creates a positive environment for everyone. The coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and know how to challenge the kids to improve with proper technique. We also value the specialized goalie practices—my son is a goalie, so these sessions have been especially helpful for his development. At the end of each season, the club provides a thoughtful player evaluation that clearly highlights accomplishments as well as areas to continue working on. My son has been playing with Red Star since 2021 and is genuinely happy there. The parents are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and overall it has been a wonderful community for our family.
Our daughter started at this club at age 8 with very little experience in playing competitive soccer and while it was hard technically at first, she grew as a player, loved her wonderful teammates, and most of all her coach, Helen. Helen was not only caring as a coach, she provides excellent technical and tactical instruction for young players with a positive but still demanding environment. We made a decision after 2 years to find a club closer to home and quickly realized it was a mistake. Her new club and coach sucked all the fun out of soccer so we left and now back at Red Star and our daughter is looking forward to rejoining her soccer family.
Our son started with Red Star Soccer when he was just 5 years old, and now at 7, he absolutely loves it! The coaches are amazing — patient, positive, and truly dedicated to helping each child grow both in skills and confidence. The training sessions are well-organized and engaging. We’ve seen such great improvement in his coordination, teamwork, and love for the game. We’re so grateful to be part of this program and highly recommend it to any family looking for a top-quality soccer academy!
Our family has been involved with three local competitive soccer clubs. Red Star has been, by far, the most attentive to not only their players, but to families as a whole. After every game, our coach addresses the parents and the players all together, explaining what they did well, where they could improve, and the plan for the coming week(s). This excellent communication occurs not only from our child's main coach, but from another coach when guesting. Our other kids' coaches from outside clubs sometimes do not address the parents at all. Even at the last game of the season - before the summer - it was our team manager who had to ask the coach to address the parents. He then threw together some closing thoughts to wrap up the season. I don't think it even occurred to him to talk to the parents! If it weren't for committed parents, there would NOT BE any comp teams. I wish all local soccer clubs were like Red Star!
My daughter joined the Red Star pre-competitive team practice this year. The practice has been fun and full of energy, and she really enjoys it. She has made tremendous progress in just a few months. The coaches are very patient and professional. My daughter has also made many good friends on the team. I would highly recommend Red Star.
Our daughter has loved Red Star. Exceptional coaching that blends weekly success in games with long-term player development in all aspects of soccer. The culture is welcoming and very positive with a lot of player and parent engagement on and off the field, the team feels like 15 friends playing together. Overall a wonderful experience.
A truly exceptional club that changed my daughter’s life. My daughter’s journey with Red Star began in the most unexpected way. She was 9 years old, simply kicking a ball on the sidelines while her little brother tried out. Coach Cleber noticed her, took a moment to encourage her, and suggested she try out too. That single acknowledgment gave her the confidence to step onto the field, something she might never have done otherwise. In the Bay Area, if you haven’t been in club soccer from a young age, you’re often considered “too late.” But Red Star didn’t see her as behind. They welcomed her wholeheartedly despite being new to the sport, and that openness made all the difference. Five years later, she’s still with the club. We have three kids who are all athletic and play multiple sports, so we’ve worked with many coaches and many programs over the years. Red Star’s coaching staff stands out. Their professionalism, consistency, and genuine care for each player is unmatched. They coach with both skill and heart, something rare to find at the club level. What has meant the most to our family isn’t just her development as a player (which has been incredible), but the growth in her self-esteem. Red Star made her believe in herself. She is not treated as just another kid on a roster. You can feel that the coaches truly care about each child and their individual journey. They invest in who your child is as a person, not just as an athlete. We are deeply grateful for this club. Red Star is more than soccer, it’s community, confidence, and character-building at its best. Highly recommended.
We've done mvla shooting stars, AYSO schoolyard, U6 and U8 and rising stars and future Stars. Red Star is hands down the best for pre competitive. Super low ratio of professional coaches to kids. Monday practice is only 4 kids and 1 coach! MVLA shooting stars has a bajillion kids and it's run by one adult who directs a bunch of middle school and high school kids to coach your kids. AYSO is volunteer run and your experience will vary greatly depending on who your coach is. Unfortunately for us the only good coach we've had is us. Go to Red Star!
We have two kids in the program. Love the coaches, love the crew. Our boys have improved as players and made great friends.
Our child started with Red Star in the fall of 2024. As our first experience with a competitive soccer club, we are very happy thus far. Our child has blossomed into an incredibly confident soccer player. But more importantly, our child has also become a leader, a teammate, and a good sportsman. We look forward to many more seasons with Red Star.
Friendly club and crew and community. My kid is not a physically competitive player but has grown a lot in this club without too much stress or peer pressure. We will stay with the team.
This is an amazing club. Great coaches, great kids. Some of the other clubs could learn more sportsmanship! Great job red star. Juventus could take lessons.
My son started playing in the Rising Stars program and he loves it. The coaching staff is very professional and friendly. My son is really enjoying the experience.
One of the best youth soccer academies in the bay area with great coaching and training

Coaches are great. Club management team is very positive. My son loves it.

Having paid for a total of 17 years of club soccer thus far, between 3 kids and 2 clubs (Red Star & MVLA), I offer the following: As with other local clubs, Red Star is a total money grab. What sets Red Star apart, however, is that any child regardless of skill or experience will make it onto a Red Star team. I’ve never seen a child denied a spot or cut from a team at Red Star. Ever. So if you’re looking to secure a spot on what’s billed as a “competitive” club- Red Star is your guaranteed play-to-play ticket into club soccer. This alone sets Red Star apart from the other local clubs, and could be a good entry level fit for some. If you’re looking for consistency in coaches and teammates, however, I’d recommend you look elsewhere. We’ve found it hard to grow at Red Star with the constant shuffling of coaches and players, and the regular influx and placement of newbies onto teams with more experienced kids. For this reason it seems many leave Red Star for other clubs after a year or 2.
My 6 years old was assigned a tryout with some coach who has a very heavy accent and hard to understand. On the contrary the coach said that my 6 years old was not cooperating and Cleber Silva held that against my child, so pathetic ! Soccer practice was very boring, not fun and not recommend to anyone!
