a symphony, cold matcha's embrace, Lavender whispers dance, a delicate grace. Iced allure in every sip, dreams take flight, Delicious elixir, a moonlit delight. Oat milk cascades, like silk in the breeze, Entwined with matcha, a dance to appease. In dreams, it lingers, a flavor so divine, A sip of enchantment, a moment to intertwine.
The environment was very welcoming and the the drinks and food were amazing. Customer service was excellent as well, one barista in particular named Audrey was extremely friendly and welcoming to me and she helped me choose the perfect drink. Would definitely recommend to all of my friends.
There is an employee with a septum piercing who is so lovely. The love in her hands transfers from the draft lever into the matcha and it makes it taste all the more delicious. It may be pre mixed but it doesn’t taste like that when she pours it. There’s so much more to my matcha routine when septum girl provides her warmth and hospitality to cha cha matcha. Please promote her. I’m getting married and I would ask her to officiate. If I were to get married at cha cha matcha (which I have considered) I would want her to officiate (I would pay to get her ordained personally). When other people serve me matcha I see slime and nightmares. When septum girl serves me I feel spring has sprung eternal.
Cha Cha Matcha in DUMBO is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant, tropical decor and welcoming atmosphere make you feel like you’ve stepped into a matcha paradise. The matcha itself is some of the best I’ve ever had—smooth, earthy, and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re getting a classic matcha latte or one of their creative drinks like the lavender matcha or iced ceremonial matcha, you’re in for a treat. They also have delicious baked goods and snacks that pair perfectly with their drinks. The staff is friendly and efficient, even during busy times. Plus, the location in DUMBO is unbeatable—you can grab your drink and take a stroll by the waterfront for stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. Cha Cha Matcha is a must-visit for any matcha lover or anyone looking to try something new and refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!
Such a cute and chill cafe. Great place to catch up with a friend over some cute and tasty matcha. Would recommend the strawberry matcha or Berrylicious smoothie. They also have a small assortment of pastries and cookies!
Great service! The team is so well dressed! The barista let me add peppermint syrup to my hot chocolate, which was delicious and satisfying. Super good vibes, chill music, and easy access to the Brooklyn Bridge 💚🩷
Had a great experience!Shoutout to jasmine, very friendly and professional.and knowledgeable about cha cha matcha products. Good job jasmine will be returning.
I recently visited Dumbo Cha Cha Matcha and had an amazing experience! The service was top-notch, and the staff’s attention to detail was impressive. The employees were dressed to impress, adding to the overall vibe of the place. Special shout-out to Audrey and Pasang for going above and beyond by crafting a custom drink for my Instagram. Even though it wasn’t on the menu, they nailed it, showing just how much they care about their craft and customer satisfaction. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be back to this location again! Highly recommend!
it was my first time trying matcha and I have to say it was so delicious! Not only was my drink amazing but the store itself was very organized and had a cozy feel. The employee was very kind and sweet as well. Over all i had a very pleasant experience and I will be coming here more often!
I always have a decent experience at Chacha Matcha. This one in Dumbo has helpful staff who make nice cup of Matcha. I like the Ginger Tumeric with a shot of Matcha. Highly recommend
Cute little spot in Dumbo marketplace. Stopped here for quick refresher after summer afternoon wandering in DUMBO. Amazing menu. Tried their specialty Pink drink and it was so refreshing. On first sip only it hits you and gives you all the boost. Must try. They have various locations across nyc.
Follow me on Instagram for more reviews! @hopeless_ramen_tic 📍 Cha Cha Matcha - New York City, NY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Drinks: Draft Matcha Latte – Incredibly creamy and smooth. – Not watered down at all—rich and full of flavor. – Both my boyfriend and I loved it! – Definitely on the pricier side. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Cha Cha Matcha while exploring DUMBO, and I’m so glad we both grabbed a drink because it was absolutely delicious! I honestly wish I had a matcha spout at home after tasting this. We loved it so much that we visited their Nolita location the very next day. I’ve heard great things about their strawberry matcha, so I’d love to try that next time. Even though it’s a bit expensive, we’ll definitely be back! Date Visited: 12/31/2024, 1/1/2025
Orchid, Justine, and Kimberly all greeted us with a very warm welcome. When I asked what their favorite drink was they gave a great suggestion while keeping a smile and good energy. I recommend Cha Cha in Dumbo purely on their energy!
Their matcha drinks are some of the best, I tried during my visit. Wish there was one in Texas.
Upon exploring the Time Out Market, we came across this really nice nook. Had a lovely conversation with Andy the store manager about nice restaurants around the NYC area. The drinks here are also really well-brewed. Helena and Levi were both really friendly baristas. The experience was really pleasant so I definitely recommend stopping by during a lunch break or the like. They offered a really unique-tasting cookie to try out. I loved the Draft and the Strawberry Matcha.
Their iced strawberry matcha was amazing as expected! The flavours were really well balanced. The matcha on its own was concentrated and good quality. What surprised me was how good their chocolate chip cookies were. When we got them, they were still warm the chocolate was perfectly melty. The aesthetic of the store was also really pleasant
Very good matcha. The strawberry one was amazing- not too sweet and good berry flavour. Cute aesthetic
I had such a great experience at Cha Cha Matcha! It was my first time there, and I had no idea what to get. The manager Pasang was so friendly and helped me pick the Matcha Chai. It’s now my go-to drink! She made the whole visit feel really welcoming, and I can’t wait to come back. Definitely recommend!
First time visiting and it was amazing, the pistachio matcha was so good!
Staff was extremely friendly and absolutely loved the vibe there. The Strawberry matcha was so good! Will definitely be back again
Loved the purple drink! Kimberly was super helpful and patient in guiding me through the menu options, definitely a place I’ll come back too on my next visit to nyc.
The best matcha I’ve had in the US so far. I had the regular matcha latte. Very authentic since many places add so much achter flavor that you can’t taste the matcha anymore. We also tried strawberry matcha and the nitro matcha. The shop was little and not too many places to sit but we were having ours to go, so that wasn’t a problem for us. Staff were also nice.
we felt so healthy as we sipped away on their matcha drinks, especially with the strawberry matcha. in it they had fresh local strawberries, ashwagandha, bee pollen, vanilla, collagen, matcha, and a choice of milk. The other one was a matcha yuzu lemonade, which was nice and refreshing. their dumbo location also has great vibes, follow for more reviews on ig @jennjereats
Cha Cha Matcha’s so yummy! A neighborhood staple. I love their strawberry matcha latte, chocolate chip cookie, and smoothies. I also love that they have agave on the side for you to customize the sweetness of your drink. Service is always friendly, professional, and quick. Aesthetics are also a vibe, and I love that it’s in Dumbo Market because there are so many other fun bites to explore and enjoy :) cheers 🍵
First time at cha cha matcha and wow the strawberry matcha was absolutely deliciouss. Huge thanks to Kimberly for recommending!
Matcha Latte was good, but for the matcha centric place I would expect them to indicate matcha grade, name and origin, not just charge $6 for a no name product. Other than that the service was prompt, the place was cute and clean inside a magnificent architectural building on Time Out Dumbo.
Stopped by Cha Cha Matcha in DUMBO and tried their strawberry matcha. I’ve been to a few of their locations, but this one is special — great views around the area and lots of popular photo spots nearby. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend visiting on a sunny day. The strawberry matcha was really well balanced. The matcha wasn’t too bitter, and the strawberry tasted natural, not artificial. Lightly sweet and super refreshing. The space was clean and stylish, and the staff were friendly, which made the visit even better. I also took more photos and videos from this visit and shared them on my Instagram (@chy75bobbi)(@newyork_banana) if anyone’s interested.
They have a collab with purely elizabeth for a limited time and the pistachio matcha…..?!!! so good but so sad it’ll be gone soon. justine and leslie were so kind and I will be back to get it again!!
Mona is the best. She's amazing with customers and always does what she can to ensure that the customer feels respected and properly taken care of. I always notice that she's willing to provide samples within a moments notice as well as keeping a smile on her face, not to mention if someone doesn't like a drink, she'll help in whatever way she can in order to provide them an experience that wouldn't leave them upset. I come here regularly and I see so many customers happy with her service. I'm glad that you guys have taken the time to hire the proper people to run this store. Would come back here and recommend to friends solely for the friendly qualities of the workers here.
first time trying matcha at cha cha matcha chain and had an overall good experience! the service was good and the drink came out quick, though that might have also been due to small to no line. the matcha itself was good and they had a variety of options to try. i tried the regular matcha latte with oat milk and enjoyed it! not my favorite matcha latte but *very* nonetheless.
The matcha here is soooo good!! I got an Iced Strawberry Matcha with a funfetti cookie and both tasted amazing!! The location is so close to the iconic Manhattan Bridge view and within a food market, so it's perfect to grab a drink on your way to find something for lunch! The store is well decorated and had a good amount of seating! The person serving me was so lovely and chatty, which made the experience better!
This is my second favorite Cha Cha Matcha location! I visit often, especially when in Dumbo. It’s the only place where I’m happy to buy matcha. Huge thanks to the team for their cleanliness, great service, and consistently high-quality matcha. Highly recommend! 🍵✨
I was there a few days ago with a group of 3 other ladies. There was a nor'easter (which none of us had any idea what that was not being NY or East Coast people) the store was quite. And a male worker was doing an interview. I ordered a beautiful people drink not realizing it was matcha and not coffee. I've only had matcha one other time and it wasn't my absolute favorite. The guy heard us talking about it and came around the counter and asked what the problem was. Someone else in my group spoke up for me. I didn't realize it was matcha. I asked if he could make me a hot mocha coffee (I asked because another girl in my group had asked if they do hot coffee and the cashier told her no. But he made me a hot coffee and no charge) so she went and got coffee elsewhere. Idk if it was a miscommunication or not. Anyways the guy went into the cabinet and made it for me and I was so grateful. I was sooooo cold as we had just had photoshoot in the area in the cold nor'easter rain. Thank you so so so much! (Make sure if your in the building they have this thing on the wall that is camera motion sensored when it flips to make the shape of whatever is in front of the camera! It was so cool!)
Today I finally made my way over to Cha Cha Matcha (DUMBO), and it was such a fun first experience. The walk there had that perfect city vibe—cobblestone streets, bridges overhead, and the buzz of people around. Stepping inside, the café was super aesthetic, full of soft pink and green accents that instantly gave off a calm but playful energy. I ordered a draft matcha latte, and wow—it was smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The creamy texture really stood out compared to regular iced matcha. Sipping it while looking out at the DUMBO streets felt like one of those little New York moments you just want to hold onto. 🌿💚 If you’re into matcha (or just want to try something new in a really pretty spot), I’d definitely recommend stopping by.
Super duper cute matcha shop ! This location is located in time out market . I normally have to add chai to my matcha but they have a “matcha chai latte” on the menu. It was very pretty and tasty. I absolutely love the aesthetic of the shop. The pink and green is so so cute. I also love the slogan “I love you so matcha”. I appreciated that the prices were affordable. I would return.
This is my first time trying this location. Cha Cha..... Matcha! Lemonade was AMAZING. It tasted so fresh when the weather was hot. Lemonade, mint, matcha... The minus point is that many things on the menu are sweet and sugary. While matcha is a healthy thing, it is not much as healtiher when they add a lot of sugary syrup.
The tea here is great and staff is friendly… my only downside is how the seating is… it’s just awkward I guess? You’ll see what I mean lol but I would come back for the tea, matcha was good.
Perfect to cool down on a awfully hot day!! The Matcha was not too sweet. The colour was nice and bright green (no dull-green faint-tasting matcha here :). I love their branding. The entire green pink theme feels very cozy. Also the napkins are the cutest ones I've ever seen at a café. I did have to wait a while for my order as all the barista's had to wait for one guy to finish whisking more matcha. Could have been avoided by better time management.
I recently visited ChaCha Matcha and enjoyed the overall atmosphere. It's a cozy spot, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment. While I appreciated the experience, I found the matcha to be on the lighter side. If you prefer a more subtle matcha flavor, this might be perfect for you. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards bolder matcha profiles. The service was friendly, and I'd be open to trying other items on the menu
As a big matcha lover I tried the matcha latte and it was good, but not as good as I was expecting for a matcha specialized franchise. Shop vibes are very cute decor wise with a good amount of seating, they have their own Cha Cha merch you can buy for die hard fans (hoodies etc), and the staff are pretty friendly!
I liked the matcha latte, it was something hot on a cold day, I added some vanilla bean too. It was nice to see the vanilla specks and it made me feel that the quality of the flavoring was good. Now, this is practically a 7 dollar drink with tax and I just wasn’t blown away/impressed, that’s the only reason why it’s getting 3 stars. The latte art wasn’t there and I’m used to a stronger quality of matcha. I’d go back and ask if I could have less milk or something to improve it, but I am fearful that I would end up paying 10$ for a drink that’s baseline good. I’d say if you’re craving matcha and you like the Starbucks kind, this is very good ♥️ but if you’re used to making it yourself/go to places like Partners a lot, just know that it’s a bit different and may not be to your tastes. Cute interior as well, made me think of Glossier. Good for people who like taking pretty photos 👍
I recently had the chance to visit Cha Cha Matcha while exploring Dumbo, and I was eager to check them out. The service at the franchise was definitely a highlight; the staff was fast, friendly, and made the ordering process smooth and enjoyable. I decided to try the strawberry matcha, which sounded intriguing and perfect for a refreshing treat. While I was excited to dig in, I found the matcha itself to be just average. The flavor was somewhat underwhelming, and I noticed a distinct aftertaste that lingered longer than I would have liked. Unfortunately, the syrup was so overpowering that it masked the matcha’s natural flavor, making it hard to appreciate its subtleties. For $8, I expected a more blend of flavors that highlighted the matcha itself rather than overshadowing it. I did enjoy the nice atmosphere of the shop, inside the big time out market, which made for a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the experience. The taste of the strawberry matcha didn’t quite meet my expectations. I might be willing to give Cha Cha Matcha another try with a different drink next time!
Had the turmeric matcha drink here and it was quite good. However, it was a little disappointing because previously, I’ve had much better matcha that was also much cheaper. Additionally, the queue gets really long and you’re likely to wait a while to place your order. Apart from that, the atmosphere is quite nice.
It’s a cute shop. The menu is simple with matcha and non-matcha options. I ordered a berrylicious smoothie and a strawberry matcha. The smoothie was good. The matcha drink didn’t have strong matcha taste because it was overpowered by the strawberry flavor. It’s $8 for a small matcha drink (their regular size) and $12 for a smoothie. The price is kinda expected for its location but not worth the price.
Sure—here’s a more masculine-toned, two-paragraph version of your 3-star review: ⸻ Stopped by Cha Cha Matcha in DUMBO. The place has a good vibe and the staff was solid—really friendly and helpful, no complaints there. They know how to make you feel welcome, and the service was quick. But I’ve got to be honest—the cups weren’t clean, and that’s a basic thing that shouldn’t be overlooked. It takes away from the whole experience. I’d give it another shot, but they need to tighten up on the cleanliness side.
I stopped by Cha Cha Matcha for the first time, and it's such a charming little spot! However, I'm a bit on the fence about going back. They have freshly baked cookies, but sadly they can't warm them up for you after buying. I’d give the cookie a 5/10. The strawberry matcha, though, was pretty tasty—I'd rate that a 7/10! One quirky detail was that they don't accept cash, which was a bit unusual. Overall, I’d say my experience was a 6/10.
Used to like Cha Cha, but I don't see any of my regular baristas anymore and honestly I stopped going because the vibes really shifted. I think they have a new manager and she seems really intense, I swear i saw her time someones bathroom break once, yikes. Anyway, the baristas all seem really nice and customer service is good, they just seem rly stressed out and anxious when their manager is around.
Visited the first time and have to say that I didn’t appreciate the service. I had to repeat my order three times cause the staff was busy chatting with each other rather than paying attention. They created my drink and again it was not what I ordered. Pretty frustrating. After I corrected it the third time, they started laughing and giggling, which made me feel like they gossiped about me. Very uncomfortable. The drink was decent and the place looked clean and quiet.
The drinks were fine but the huge menu board above the counter have prices 30-40% lower than what they’ll charge you. I asked why the drink was $2 more than the menu said and he pointed down to a printed menu and said “that one’s not up to date.” I think it’s dishonest to not tell you before you order or put a sign on the menu board or just fix the board even if you just temporarily paper over the board. To me it appears like they’re attempting to misled the consumers on prices.
There's no use crying over spilled or spoiled milk, but unfortunately when I ordered a matcha latte with nonfat milk the milk was so sour it made me nauseous. To be fair I'm not really sure anyone else drinks dairy milk anymore so maybe it had sat untouched for weeks in the fridge. The server was kind enough to exchange my drink for another with oat or coconut milk, but it left a literal sour taste in my mouth.
I stopped by Cha Cha Matcha and decided to try a cold brew instead of matcha, it was fine, nothing special. I also ordered a pastry, but unfortunately it was old and stale. The staff seemed very unresponsive and low-energy, which made the experience a bit disappointing. The layout of the café is also confusing for newcomers; people didn’t seem to know where to go. That said, I do like that it has two entrances, it’s a cool feature; or maybe that’s why it confuses people? Overall, not the best experience.
Decided to try this place based on the great reviews but was left disappointed. I initially asked for a draft oat latte, but it wasn’t available, so I went with the staff’s recommendation. Unfortunately, the coffee was too sweet for my liking. When I asked if I could have one without sugar, I was told all drinks contain syrup and can’t be made without it. Requested if she could make one without syrup, and while she agreed, her attitude felt dismissive, as if my request was an inconvenience. She then asked me to step aside and wait while serving other customers, which I didn’t mind, but the way she eventually handed me the drink felt rushed and ungracious. Sadly, the experience didn’t match the hype, and I left feeling unwelcome. I can only give 1 star based on my visit.
I had a really disappointing experience at Cha Cha on Wednesday, August 6 at around 5:40 PM. The employees were standing around chatting with each other instead of making drinks, and my order took way too long to be prepared. On top of that, they don’t even offer lactose-free milk, which is surprising for a café these days. In particular, an employee named Jazmine was extremely rude during my visit—unprofessional and unfriendly. Overall, the service felt careless and unwelcoming. I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this location.
I’m not one to leave reviews but this place has really pissed me off lately. The very first time I came here was a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised how good the drink was, after that wow what the hell are they putting in my dam drink? The strawberry matcha was clumpy, I didn’t even taste the matcha, it’s SOO weak. It’s just color at this point. I’m pretty sure they been messing up my milk cus why the dam almond milk that’s supposedly freshly made tastes like trash? It tastes like it’s expired. My drink felt like I was drinking water with milk just gross . The strawberry was so light, it wasn’t sweet there was no sign of any strawberry it!!!!! Simply the worst drink I’ve ever had never coming here I’m so done with this location. And btw I usually come in the weekends so maybe if you go during the week you’ll actually get what you paid for. Such a mess. Literally never again.
I’ve been going to cha cha matcha for years and have always loved the brand and products. I stopped into the Dumbo location on 6/3 and was severely disappointed by my experience. I ordered a blue drink with matcha (hot) at the register, paid, and then waited for my drink. I was the only customer in the shop at this time so my drink was ready right away. I noticed the color of the drink was off so I asked the barista if the matcha was in it. They then looked at me and said no, did you want matcha? I replied that I had ordered it with matcha and that I thought I had been clear about my order. The barista then went to the register to talk to the cashier and then came back over to me and told me I need to pay for the matcha at the register. It was $2 which is fine but I was confused why this was their approach and why I had to pay again. At no point did they apologize for the confusion or ask for clarification or anything especially when I had already paid for the drink. Just told me I needed to pay again. They then remade my drink and put it out on the counter without saying anything to me. Overall this was a really disappointing experience and unfortunately not the first time I’ve received less than ideal service from this location. The staff seem disengaged and like they’d rather be anywhere else.
Chacha Matcha was the place that sparked my love for matcha, which makes it all the more disappointing to experience such lackluster customer service. There’s a particular barista who works daytime shifts on Thursdays (she has a nose ring) whose attitude is consistently unpleasant. Even the simplest question feels like an inconvenience to her, as if I’m disrupting her day. It’s disheartening because I genuinely enjoy the matcha here, but the negative interactions make me hesitant to return
Employees use strong cleaning chemicals that leave a heavy fragrance in the place…. This affects the taste of the beverages, which have a noticeable chemical flavor. It is unhealthy to drink..I couldn’t drink my matcha- it tasted so bad
The service was terrible, the employees and the employees' friends sat in the chairs of the place having lunch without letting the customers sit down, we asked for hot chocolate and it was horrible, it was milk with sugar, we couldn't drink even 1/4 of the cup, which Disappointment in the place, in the products and in the service, the employees sitting at the table where they prepare the products, truly terrible
Came in earlier to get there famous strawberry matcha but was instead greeted with a horrendous odor. I seriously can’t believe management would let the store stay open like this. Employees were nice and apologized for the smell.
I went in today to get a matcha lemonade and a pastry but I was greeted with a horrible smell. I believe it’s the smell of the mold coming from the vent . I told the workers there about the smell and they were so apologetic. A store shouldn’t be open like this. Workers shouldn’t be the ones apologizing for a managements job. Management please do better.
I walked in here today and walked right out. The overpowering smell of industrial cleaning supplies makes it unbearable to even be in there. Smells like they are covering something up. Music was blaring and it just didn't feel like a nice place to sit and enjoy my drink. Went up the street to Arabica and got a great matcha and vibe.
Unfortunately, my recent matcha latte experience was less than satisfactory. The drink tasted quite diluted and was mostly ice. I was hoping for a richer matcha flavor, but it seemed to lack that depth. It’s essential for a matcha latte to strike the right balance, and I was disappointed this time
I can’t believe cha cha matcha uses tenzo matcha brand instead of their own. Tenzo is the bare minimum of matcha powder. I have been a loyal customer for years but it’s such a rip off. Have they also been selling the tins of matcha for $52+ using tenzo? Wow. Everyone locate to different matcha cafes who choose integrity and better quality matcha
The service was seriously unpleasant. Employees looked so miserable and unpleasant. The drinks were mediocre at best. Had one person making the drinks and he was not very good at it. I had clumps of matcha. Was sooooo not worth the price. The atmosphere was, well this location is small it is inside the Timeout market with access from outside. But in my opinion not worth it and it was my first visit and will be the last. I love matcha. But probably could find better for probably cheaper and made better them watching them measure every drop of your drink is ridiculous
