So delish!!! Absolutely loved the food (Tuna grinder, fries and a slice of cheesecake) The cheesecake was meh, the crust was too cinnamony, the fries arrived cold and soggy (probably because I didn't answer when they first came to drop off my food because I didn't hear a knock) The sub was amazing!! All around, very good food, great customer service and a wonderful delivery woman!! Loved my experience and will definitely order again when I am looking for a delicious lunch!

I have gotten delivery from here more times than I can count and the food is always beyond fantastic. Same with the service. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a bad dish, as a matter of fact, just when you think they can’t outdo themselves: they do. I finally had the opportunity to visit them in person a few days ago and was just as impressed! We were seated right away and got our appetizers and food quickly. My only complaint is that their bathroom is a little dingy. It could use some updating. Other than that, they can keep up the good work!

We order fairly frequently from Fresh Basil and have never been disappointed! The wings are so yummy- specifically the medium & hot sauces. We always get cannolis as well and they’re always so tasty. The staff are always pleasant as well. Definitely recommend!

Best pizza and food with unbeatable prices and small town feel. I live in rennselear and pick up this pizza , wings and cheeseburger once a week for my family when I can. We all love it and it’s super affordable and easy. If service is ever slow, owner always adjusts the price for waiting. Honest and good company.

First time at Fresh Basil Pizza today and had an amazing experience, the food was amazing , the antipasto salad was so Fresh I loved it so much and the garlic bread that came with it my kids devoured . The pizza was super good and the wings with fries. The staff was so attentive and friendly and the price amazing . We will definitely be back . The pizza here is always delicious. Other food options as well and they are phenomenal. This is by far the best pizzaria in Amsterdam. I never stray. I ordered my usual a Pepperoni calzone with no Ricotta cheese and it was delicious. I have ordered this many times and it never disappoints! I don’t like ricotta cheese and they always get my special order right. I also love their Garlic Parm wings! They are the best in town. Great service also!

3rd time here, you'd think it would be good, but nope, check this out... It was incredible! Every time we are in the area, whether we are hungry or now, we make 100% sure to get food here. This is definitely a 'don't judge a book by its cover' situation. We have now had 8 different food items, and 2 desserts. The food, every time, whether it be pizza or hot/cold sandwiches/wraps, is so fresh and perfectly seasoned. Fries are awesome, their buffalo sauce rocks, and the marinara is very good. We'll be back SOON...

Highly recommend this place. Everything is very well priced and is good quality. Atmosphere is very nice. Lighting is somewhat dim. They even have really cool looking Turkish lamps. Good selection of things on the menu. Not the most wheelchair friendly. Service is great. Staff are very friendly. The place is fairly casual. Definitely a nice place to go for lunch or dinner!

We ordered from fresh basil for my daughters birthday party. They gave us a great price for 2 24 cuts, 40 wings, and 2 2 liters. We ordered 2 of those combos so altogether it was a ton of food. We had enough food to feed 50 people and everyone said the food tasted great. I'd definitely order big orders from here again without a doubt.

I ate here on a very quiet Tuesday night in Amsterdam. The food was very good and the service friendly. Clearly the chef had prepared my order fresh, took the time to get it right and even brought it to the table. The eggplant rollatini was done just right, delicious. Even the side salad was thoughtful with interesting additions. Good to see someone taking pride in their cooking. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were driving an electric car to Lake George from Syracuse in the middle of a snowstorm. After our GPS directed us to Amsterdam, NY, for a charging station, we decided to look for a place to eat and possibly use the restroom. Despite searching for 30 minutes and walking in circles through the downtown area, we couldn’t find anything open that met our needs. Just as we were about to give up, we bumped into a couple and asked if they knew of any open restaurants. It was around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night, and they pointed right in front of us. Due to the snowstorm, we hadn’t noticed the open sign! When we stepped inside, we found everything we were looking for: a warm, cozy atmosphere, a great food selection, and incredibly friendly staff. Julia, the person taking our order, was especially helpful and welcoming. She recommended a 14-inch personal pizza with chicken and BBQ sauce, which turned out to be my favorite item on the menu—I’m a huge fan of pizza, and this one was absolutely savory and irresistible. My wife ordered the chicken cordon bleu, which I also got a taste of, and it was phenomenal. The portion was so large that we had leftovers for three days! Not only was the food fantastic, but Julia also went above and beyond by sharing helpful insights about upstate New York, as we recently moved to the area. Her genuine friendliness and helpfulness made our experience even more memorable. This restaurant is a hidden gem with affordable prices, a homey vibe, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again. If you’re ever in the area, especially during less-than-ideal weather, we highly recommend stopping by this warm and welcoming spot!

We ordered two personal pan pizzas and a large salad. Everything was fantastic! The house Italian dressing is perfect 🤩 the both pizzas were fresh and hot, so much flavor, great amount of topping portions. The salad had plenty of veggies, meat, and cheese. New to the area. We've tried a couple of places. This one by far is the best. We also like that you can order from the app. Just place order a little in advance. Sometimes (peak hours) it takes about an hour. Other times it only takes a half. Never had an issue. Delivery driver is always nice. With all these not so nice reviews we took a chance, and we are very happy we did ! Thank you Basil for working hard to provide dinner for us when we work to late to cook!! Keep up the great work.

They recently had a promotional day for Veterans and First Responders, which got me in the door for a meal, and I'm pretty happy they did. There is a ton of variety in their menu for an ordinary pizza place. As a vegetarian, I have several options to pick from that are unique and appetizing, including an eggplant pizza I've never seen anywhere else. As a meat eater, the variety is even more diverse, but I can't comment on that personally. The pizzas tend to be the thin crust variety (though I'm sure you could specially request something else); this makes them feel warm and crispy, which compliments the taste well. Their salads are pretty diverse, and their sandwiches and other options don't seem like "extras" they've placed on the meal just to add variety. I tried a calzone-type roll thing, with eggplant and a bunch of veggies, which was absolutely delicious. The waitresses were friendly and helpful, and the environment was comfortable and welcoming. There are about 3 booths, and a number of round tables throughout. Overall, it's terrific they are so supportive of veterans and first responders, their variety is amazing, and their service was superb. As for pizza places in and around Amsterdam, this is probably my favorite.

I love their margarita pizza. Wish the salad had more veggies on it, maybe some red peppers or cucumbers. Delivery usually takes about 45 minutes but the food is hot and we do usually order on Friday night. Tonight’s delivery was on time and the delivery lady was super nice.

They serve "Grinders!" Seriously, I grew up in New Hampshire where you order grinders, not subs. This is what drew me. Food was excellent and the staff friendly. Prices not too bad. It down poured just as we were about to leave and the manager (I assume he was the manager) lent us an umbrella to get to our car. Very nice! We took it back after the rain let up. We will consider visiting again as we pass through the area.

Garlic Knots, Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, Tomato Bacon Ranch Pizza, White Broccoli and Ricotta Pizza, and Supreme pizza are all great. Also, Fresh Basil's Chicken Wing Sauce (Hot) is phenomenal (5 Stars: ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆) and the Chocolate Mousse Cake (5 Stars: ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆).

We found this place when we stopped for the night on our vacation trip. The server was very friendly and checked back often. We got pizza, calzone, boneless wings, and a cheeseburger with fries. Everything was good and the price was reasonable. We were happy to have found it.

Stopped by for the lunch special (2 slices of pizza and a drink). Pizza was already on display and reheated to order. A decent selection of about 10 types. Pretty busy so good turnover. For the price and speed can't be beaten.

Everytime i order online(order four times from them via slice app) each time it takes about 2 to 3 hours before i get my food. Tried agian based on my wife'ssuggestion tonight it went from 30 to 50 min till delivery to 95 min.. WTH i already placed the order, and dont want to deal woth hassel of canceling it....the food is alright but if you want it quickly order dpnt use the slice app or maybe they are that busy even if you call it i dunno personally never agian. Maybe one more xhance but calling it in or going in and ordering..

Food is good. Service is good. We waited for food inside... I couldn't help but to think of a famous chef having a fit about the dining area.... and worry about the kitchen. The ceiling paint is coming down. Old falling apart booths. Cheap messy window clings to look like stain glass cut all crooked.. Carpet from the 90s when it was a pizza hut. And dirty. Curtains, floors, air vents, walls... dirty and dusty. Not exactly what you want in an environment meant to eat food. No effort has been made to keep the inside clean or nice at all. It's a shame. Fresh Basil is popular, the food deserves it. But the dining room is screaming for help.

Frequent and loyal customer here... LOVE the food and it’s very delicious but the only problem for me is that some staff members need to work on their attitude and customer service skills. They have been very rude/ill-tempered and I actually got an angry voicemail from y’all with the worker on the phone using vulgar language recently as well as employees giving attitude during phone call orders. So unnecessary. I enjoy the food so much but I’m afraid that if this behavior persists, I will no longer be a customer of Fresh Basil.

Ordered delivery. It was on time and cold. We got 2 pizzas. They were mediocre at best. I really expected a better product especially for what they charge. I won't be ordering from them again. Very disappointing.

I was trying to order a pie for dinner. The person on the phone was rude because we asked him why was it 12.95 instead the 10.99 on the takeout menu. He said that what the price is and hung up. This M.F. Is rude and we always order from Fresh Basil but not anymore until we get an apology from the person on the phone.

My friends said the pizza was good Lasagna had no flavor Delivery driver… called, had no clue he was on the way through the DoorDash app… didn’t show Called… which truck is yours? Just step out your truck then hung up in my face. This wasn’t my food but I paid for it. I usually tip $10+ what I already tipped after delivered, but Nah. Even my people said they won’t order here again because they heard dude on the phone.

Super friendly staff, for sure. I gave 3 stars because of the building. 😬. There is literally a hole in the wall and the bathroom felt pretty yucky. The pizza was good. I would definitely take this over Dominoes. I feel like you get a really good value for what you pay. If we pass through the area again, I don’t know if I’d stop here again. But again, real friendly staff and above average pizza. 😁

Normally I have a great experience with this restaurant until tonight. I normally order buffalo pizza which is normally made how it is stated in the menu (breaded chicken dipped in buffalo sauce) but tonight I received buffalo soup. How can I even eat this. I called and explained what I received and she stated yup that’s how we make it. Well lesson learned if you want a buffalo sauce bread bowl get it here.

I ordered the baked ziti dinner. It came with a house salad and garlic bread. The ziti definitely needed more sauce but It was loaded with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. The salad was fresh and crisp and had a good variety of stuff. Overall everything was fresh and the portion sizes were good. No way i could finish in one sitting and could definitely get two meals out of it. They Delivered to me and it took just over an hour and 20 min. I would order from here again.

Waited an 1 1/2 for the food, then half the order was missing. Then the delivery driver sat in the parking lot of my job while I tried looking all over for him. When they brought back what was missing from the order, again he came and sat in the parking lot speaking hardly any English and giving me instructions on where to go. Horrible Experience, I would not order again.

I know they serve very dry pizza so I ordered extra sauce....still came dry, must be a sauce shortage. They serve a very odd version of hot wings, the hot wings are like pizza sauce italian wings with a splash of hot sauce ( they must think that's fancier but nobody wants fancy hot wings). Pizza was also cold when I got it.

Placed an order for delivery. It was late. .Food was lukewarm when finally arrived. dessert most have been tossed around, salad was Ok. Ended up feeling queasy after eating. Not saying it didnt taste good. Just ridiculous sized portions and alot of grease. My bag was actually leaking grease. I was most disappointed with the delivery time. I waited and hour and 15 minutes instead of the 35 minutes I was told on the phone.

Did not inform BeyondMenu app that they were closed today (Memorial Day) and I placed my order and waited about 25 minutes past delivery time before calling the store. No answer. So I called BeyondMenu and they were able to find out that store was closed. So now I have no pizza and no money (refunds are not instant) and literally broke with no dinner. Truly disappointed. Even google said open (but hours may vary).

Stopped by on our way home from upstate, I was so excited because they had grinders but I was soon disappointed when my sandwich came out. I ordered a chicken parmesan sub and it was junk, I could have went to the grocery store, bought chicken cutlets, garlic bread and cooked a 5 star mea by myself. My friends got the pizza and he was struggling to eat it.

I got the pizza for free from a promotion and I'm glad because the it was not worth buying. You can tell it set for way too long under the hot lamp. Maybe it would have been better if it was fresh.

I ordered a roast beef grinder and an order of breaded mushrooms for delivery. I have to say the delivery was fast and the driver was courteous and I was looking forward to trying their food. I was very disappointed as the roast beef was extremely over cooked, tough and had absolutely no flavor. Hardly any tomato or mayonnaise on the sub and onions which I did not order and are extra.The breaded mushrooms were ok but I have had much better else where so a big disappointment for a first time order from here and I will not take the chance of a second order.

I tried to order online at first but got an error message saying I was out of delivery area. I found that to be odd cause I was literally 8 mins away from the restaurant. After placing my order it took over an hour to arrive. You know everyone just loves cold pizza & wings. Smh.. I could've just saved my twenty dollars to be honest. I just don't get how the place is 8 minutes from here but it took so long.🤯

Read reviews on this place, so we thought we'd try it. No one there except a guy eating pizza who I think, worked there...he was chewing and smacking his lips SO loud I almost lost it. Looks NOTHING like the pictures..there were 2 nasty peices of pizza on that shelf, we weren't greeted by the young waitress behind the counter even though the place was deserted...we walked right back out the door and went somewhere else

This place is a rip off. Ordered online through grub hub and was charged for tiramisu (can't spell it) that I NEVER got. If it's not available fine but done steal my money for something you have no intentions of giving me especially after I've already spent a ridiculous amount of money on food.... TRASH. I ordered a pizza and garlic knots "ASAP" at 3:30pm...I have class at 6pm. Not only did I call an hour later to see what was going on but he state it was on "it's way." The pizza was so soggy you couldn't even pick it up as well as the garlic knots. I made him take it back. NEVER AGAIN. I'd rather order Dominos.

The pizza I got was bland, had zero sauce on it. The 'steak' was in fact roast beef. There were only two waiters on and they were swamped with cuatomers and were neglecting the other customers to attend to a group of kids. We needed silverware, nut the group had all the silverware which they didn't really use and we were atuck with plastic girls to try and cut our pizzas with. It was insanely loud. The music was like sounds of nature? Who plays that in a ITALIAN restraunt? I guess the soda was okay though I only got one glass. I will not be going back.

Ordered 40 wings 20 honey barbecue and 20 mild got all wings mild when I called they said they couldn’t do nothing for me because the cook made my honey barbecue wings I had to go down to the restaurant with the wings just so that they could see that I didn’t have any honey barbecue wings worst customer service I’ve ever had they need to learn what customer service is all about plus they even gave me dirty looks just cuz I showed up and the manager didn’t even want to come out to attend to me this restaurant is repulsive and I don’t know how they are still in business

Fresh basil officially lost my business for good today. Happy new year! Tried to place an order for near 55.00 worth of dinners (chicken parm/clams diavolo) seeing as dinners near everywhere on earth come with soup/salad etc- I asked for soup rather than salad, he told me “we don’t have soup” I asked if I could substitute extra bread for the salad In that case- and his response was “just because you don’t want a salad, doesn’t mean you get free bread” okay well. On a 50$ dinner check, if I want bread the last thing you should do is argue me about it. Bread is WAY cheaper than salad ingredients - your logic makes zero sense. I say forget the order & I tell him I’ll take my business elsewhere and hang up, this guy calls me back...sorry bro you can’t backpedal this time I went from ordering AT LEAST $130 a month in dinners from here - now I will order absolutely none. On my way to Parillos armory grill Now. Well done fresh basil, you’ll soon be out of business treating customers like that.

It’s now been an hour and 1/2, ordered through doordash but when you call they tell you doordash is on a different time but door dash says they deliver their own orders! He had multiple orders or who knows when my pizza will be here but it will most likely be cold! UPDATE, 1 hour and 50 minutes later our pizza was delivered and I asked the guy if the was door dash or worked for Fresh basil and he said he worked for fresh basil meanwhile the whole time I called fresh basil they kept blaming door dash!

Wish I'd noticed that the reviews were 6 years old. Atmosphere - Looks like it used to be a Pizza Hut. Service - Take-out. No big deal. Food - Marinara sauce was tasteless, veal parmesan probably came from the grocery store freezer.

Where do I begin. 3 of my friends and I went there for dinner today. We ordered appetizers (fried mushrooms and 6 garlic knots) was told it would be 15 minutes, over a half an hour, still no appetizers, went to check on them with the waitress, she said they will be right out. Shortly came the mushrooms but no garlic knots, when asked was told shortly. Well the cook comes out with our knots and says “you say something “, I said yes I was inquiring about our appetizers taking so long and he says “we’re busy” ( we were the only ones in there). Our food finally came out, but only 3 dinners. I had to go and inquire about the 4th dinner which they got wrong ( not the pasta requested). Finally came out, I think they forgot about it. The meatballs were ok, marinara sauce was bland. The roast beef in the grinder was way over done and tasted bad. They did not charge for it. The veal was over cooked, couldn’t even get fork through it let alone cut it. The excuse given was they had a lot of pick up and deliveries (only saw 2 people come in for pick up). What does that mean, dining room customers get put on the back burner??

this was a great places to eat awhile back . however ,it has gone down hill, with some of the help being nasty towards the customers. I thought that they were having a bad day . but it is a everyday thing. plus the pizza uses to be good. but now it went down hill. so I won,t ever go here again. the food also isn,t that good anymore. so I would let everyone know that I would avoid ,this places until management does something about the staff. good luck. I would have left 0 stars. I order regularly, however, tonight will be my last. As I was was waiting for my driver to pull up I had noticed they were smoking a cigarette. Now mind you my food was not in shot bag and when I had mentioned it all I was told “is your food is covered”. It bothered me enough as cigarette smoke bothers me that I called and the staff didn’t seem to really care for my feedback as they even rushed me off the phone. So be careful when getting delivery hopefully your driver isn’t smoking. I won’t be ordering again

Extremely disappointing moved here a yr ago and have ordered here since that time always been good. Then the last 4 times I've ordered mind you i spend $53-$80 every order lot of kids. Has been delivered late and cold 3 times one time was delivered early but left on the porched and was never contacted or told it was there even though for 30 mins of asking was told otw then no it was delivered an hr ago. Complained about the issue and was told everytime oh no refund but well get you next time. The food quality has been worst everytime....

I am very glad to hear the owner try to contact me I was not able to get directly to him I would have liked to speak privately, but rather than leave this unresolved, I will use this platform. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and apparently no one bothered to fry the eggplant or put sause, other than a couple of tablespoons on the bottom of the dish. I order this often, I travel quite a bit I was passing through, I have a summer home in the area I was very surprised that eggplant was unedible. I ate the cheese in between the layers but the eggplant was not fried, it was breaded and baked in the dish, I don't know if it was an oversight, but it was not edible The wait service was excellent I did not have time to make an issue I was on the run at the time and could not spare an extra minute. Cute place, nice people I was very very disappointed I can't understand what the chef was thinking

This place is awful! We made reservations and when we got there the tables were not together for our group. The waitress told us that WE could put them together. We sat down and the waitress came over to take our drink orders 15 minutes later, got them came back and asked if we were ready, I asked we could perhaps see a menu first. I asked for a refill on my coffee twice and finally got up myself and got it. The food took forever and is mediocre quality. Do yourself a favor and do not come here!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The workers at this restaurant don’t know how to talk to customers. When they mess up on your order they say thier is nothing they can do all cuz they don’t want to admit they messed up. After the rudeness I experienced and the manager didn’t want to show his face to attend to me I will never order from them again

Terrible service. Delivery is horrible. Order from here, driver gave me the wrong food, they wanted me to give the food back after I opened the bag thinking it was my food. The owner called back to yelled at us asking why we touch the food because they were going to give that to the correct customer. Like really, we are on a pandemic and they wanted to do that to one of their customers. Disgusting! Never order from here again! The owner was so rude and unprofessional.

if i could give negative stars i would. ive done plenty of orders for food, superbowl sunday got my food,they didnt give me an order so they fixed it, today my hubby called to order food, i called back to correct order cause my hubby said wrong toppings, the person on the phone said he would change the order than said nevermind your hubby made the order talk to your husband an have him call back. i told him to cancel the order after he told me to ask my husband. the guy calls my husbamd back and tells him that im lying and he cant cancel the order and says i cant call anymore to order food. the guy on the phome was very degrading towards me. i didnt apprsciate his tone and hownhe looks down upon women. we oreer 50 bucks worth of food on a normal night. this was uncalled for, i wont ever go there again. they need to get people skills and not be sovenistic pigs towards women. i felt insulted and told.my husbamd and he dealt with the rude managwr. there are better options with better prices in amsterdam

The most disgusting roast beef sub ever roast beef was chewy and tough with no flavor they put no mayo on it had to put our own we were refused a refund will be going down there to make him eat the sub since he thinks it's so good

We ordered the heart shaped pizza and antipasto salad for Valentine's Day. The food was delicious! The young lady at the counter is the : " hostess with the mostess'. She runs a tight ship while working well under pressure and with a smile on her face. The phones were ringing off the hook. To us, that speaks volumes. Bon Apetite!

The first time I ordered through doordash but they had their own drivers. They allowed teens to take our order from their car instead of delivering to the address given. The second time they said delivery would be an hour. When I called over an hr later they ignored my multiple calls to see if they were even coming. They then said they forgot and said another 30 minutes. By the time we got our food it was two hours past ordering. It tasted like frozen pizza and the wings weren't cooked thoroughly as well as dressing for our salad was missing. Their customer service is trash & the food isn't worth it.

Went there last Saturday to have dinner, walked in sat down the guy was on the phone but did give us a menu. Looked at menu, but never got to order because no one ever came back! About 20 to 30 people kept coming in which they ALL got waited on!! It must of been wing night or something but they left us sitting there for at least 20 minutes!! We finally got up and left. I think that was very poor customer service to leave us sitting there and not even come back to see what we wanted to order. We were the first ones there but EVERY other person that walked in got waited on!

Ordered pick upand for the fourth time my husband ordered linguini with red clam sauce. EVERY TIME he got white sauce. This last time I told them before I left, they just threw a little sauce on the meal and said it was red. I asked to speak with the cook and I explained a red sauce is a tomato sauce not white with some red tossed in. Lost a customer...

Honestly, one of the worst places to get pizza that I’ve tried for three times now. This most recent time was through DoorDash. In which they do not consult with the app or any affiliates with it I have waited over an hour and a half for my food received it finally lukewarm at best. The DoorDash app said it was delivered. I called to hear that my order would still be another 15 to 20 minutes after already waiting over an hour upon calling, did not receive an apology or anything else. I do not understand how they can proceed to conduct business this way, and still be a prosperous company. Will no longer conduct business due to policies or whatever they have in place. I’ve had two other poor incidences, and this will be the last.

Just Ordered the combo meal on Doordash was supposed to come with a large pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings and a salad and forgot the fries I ordered and I had have them delivered Spend 50$ bucks on it all and they gave me plan wings and a plan cheese pizza called them and told them they messed up my order they where very rude on the phone and didn't give me a refund or fix it we will be not ordering from them again!

Ordered a pizza with grilled chicken and extra cheese only to get a pizza with store bought dried out chicken tenders on it. They were afraid to put sauce on it. At the price of $19.00 for food that was worth may $8.00. Awful pizza and then when I called the manager/boss acted like he couldn't hear me. No paper towels in the men's room and not very friendly people. Not to mention the online ordering menu says grilled chicken. Either keep your money or order from a deserving establishment because it's not this place.

Should have read the reviews first. For the money I would expect more. Barely any meat or lettuce on my sub. We asked for jalapeno peppers on our sandwiches. Instead we got sauteed diced, oily and burnt green peppers on our sandwiches and now my cheese is oily as a result. Roast beef was was scarce and burnt on one sandwich. Sauce was watery for our mozzarella sticks. This is the most disgusting and disappointing meal I have ever had. Honestly, I feel like I've been robbed.
