I grew up in Chinatown, and this is the only Chinese restaurant in the Rockaway area I'll eat.

This is by far the best American Chinese food I’ve ever had. The general tso chicken is ENTIRELY white meat tenders. Unreal! It’s the Chinese food I’ve always wanted and never knew existed. Also, get the Szechuan dumplings - insanely good. Huge portions, excellent quality. I honestly won’t order form anywhere else :)

This order here in the photo is a shrimp and broccoli combo meal small. The portions is great. The combo comes with soup, egg roll. This order is $11.80 I believe, and it’s definitely worth it. I’m glad I didn’t have the same experience some people I see in the reviews had. This is my go to spot.

Best Chinese in Rockaway, period. Just do yourself a favor and avoid all the others, their food is legitimately fresh and the fried rice isn't yellow like everywhere else, it's actual fried rice.

My family and I ordered food from their website and walk-in take out. I order several dishes from shrimp and broccoli, fried rice, fried half chicken, to their BBQ ribs. All was tasty and not greasy. I like how they seasoned and sliced the chicken and the taste of the fried rice w/egg and ribs brought me back to my childhood when a lot of the chinesee food restaurants and their dishes were very authentic! I definitely recommend this spot!

The food is fresh, good and definitely not your regular Chinese take out. The wings are excellent along with the shrimp rolls, omg you must try. Great place and the staff are very nice.

Excellent food, but this one delivery guy leaves a lot to be desired. I have bad knees and I'm not gonna hurry up cause he said so. Please for the love of God hire better drivers or go on an app.

I have this take-out another chance tonight after a prior order that was oily. Greasy again. And yes, the person taking the orders could work on being more inviting.

The food is usually very good and the proportions are fair. But the delivery man and staff are obscenely rude, this will be my last time ordering from here.

Great food, I'm very disappointed in my last 2 interactions. Both times deals with poor delivery. The very last one I had to call them 5 times to track my food and they stopped answering, so I ordered from somewhere else and then they show up, had to tell them to send it back where it came from. Again, food is fantastic but they are very unreliable when it comes to delivery.

Most unprofessional place in history of Chinese food. Customer service is very very very bad and they are the worst of all. I will keep posting my encounter with them as a shame and please people don't go there because you need respect for your money you want to spend.

Teriyaki chicken: Big pieces of dry, white meat chicken sitting on top of a small amount of tastless sauce. Nothing teriyaki about that. Boneless pork ribs: Tiny dry shredded pieces of tough pork. They forgot the small pork fried rice. Had to wait an additional 30+ minutes for the tastless rice to be delivered.

Bad customer service skills and the guy who takes orders always have a nasty attitude. They always forget to put sauces and utencils even after you tell them nunerous times. Id rather take my money and spend it somewhere else. Ill advise the same

Showed up around 10..no one paid no mind to me and when I asked if I could get food..one of the workers without even looking me rudely yelled "closed"...Google says they are open until 1030. Not sure why I was treated this way, but not gonna happen again..won't be returning. Thank you big apple!!!

A couple of weeks ago on a Friday night I ordered Beef chow fun, and shrimp with broccoli. Food POISONING is what I bought. Woke up in the middle of the night with extreme stomach pain and vomiting. Took my body a week to recuperate. Will never buy from this place again. With the old owners I never got sick from their food.

Will never order again could never figure out why my bill was always more expensive than what it showed online. Coming to find out restaurant automatically charges you for a delivery tip because they assume that you are not going to tip the driver. This is absolutely illegal. They advertise free delivery and it is optional whether you want to tip the driver or not it is not up to them to automatically just charge you a fee without your consent

Look at this long black hair that was inside my steamed vegetable dumpling and then imagine how disgusting it would be pulling it out of your mouth and take note of how the hair is embedded in the dough. Update I called the " restaurant " and I was told “ not our probrem we don't make here, we will give you free dumprings and TWO free egg rolls “ WOW now I'm actually happy I had that long disgusting hair in my mouth! I hope I find a toenail in the free ones!!!

Asked for shrimp lo mien and got this! The female that picked up the phone was nasty and rude. When I called to say I had the wrong order she hung up the phone! Not a good way to keep customers! Will never order from this place again! Be ware this food looks disgusting!

So I gave this place one more chance tonight, after dealing with a very obnoxious female taking phone orders, and an even worse delivery guy. I work in a Rehabilitation Center in Rockaway Park, and have personally seen their delivery driver yell at patients, and customers when they didn't pay fast enough. He is a terribly miserable person who shouldn't even be doing deliveries because he so angry and obnoxious. Tonight, again, I ordered. The delivery driver texts me a picture of the food, rather than coming into the building to deliver. Although I wasn't too happy about his delivery procedure, I STILL gave him a $4.00 tip. He threw my change on to the counter here at the rehab center, and stormed out. Do I eat the food? Their delivery driver was so obnoxious and disrespectful, that I question whether or not to even eat what was delivered. The food there is ok. But the service, attitude, and unpleasant people taking your order, and a mean horribly disrespectful delivery guy, that happens to be one of the most disrespectful obnoxious delivery guys I have ever met to date. Do not order from this place. These people have a seriously BAD attitude. So although their food is < pretty good > I will not allow myself to be treated like that by ANY establishment that I order from. They do NOT deserve another dime from me. Tonight is the last time that I will ever be ordering from them.

They lost me as a customer today They tried to charge me extra for Pork fried rice after ordering lunch special at 255 pm. This must be a new scam as lunch special comes with vegetable fried rice. After being a loyal customer and giving them tips they are so cheap and disloyal and untrustworthy that they wanted me to wait for vegetable fried rice to be cooked. They should have apologized and given me the Pork fried rice with my lunch special at lunch special price. Goodbye Big Apple.

Absolutely horrible. Every time we order they forget something. tonight it was egg rolls and lomein! Food tasted horrible as well. They came with egg rolls then still forgot the lomein! Do not use this place they are horrible! So upset Kam fung is gone. Big Apple sucks!!
