Wow, what a great dining experience before enjoying the Christmas lights. We had Madison as our server. She was attentive and sweet. Chef Ryan and his team created amazing food from start to finish. We generally do not order hummus but the cauliflower hummus was creamy and unique. The wagyu tartare was delicious. Our meals were short ribs, kale salad and the double smash burger, along with vegetable sides. We ended with the pumpkin cheesecake and the chocolate tart. We had several leftovers since the portions are generous. Thank you for an amazing dinner and birthday celebration.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Longleaf in the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and Chef Ryan and his team did an absolutely fantastic job. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff truly made us feel extra special, which added so much to the experience. Our server, Madison, was incredibly attentive and accommodating, and another server who assisted her was equally wonderful. The entire atmosphere was warm, inviting, and relaxing—perfect before an evening walk through the Garden Lights. The food and drinks were exceptional. I ordered a refreshing mocktail garnished with candied ginger, and you could truly taste the freshness in every sip. Everything we ordered was clearly made from scratch. For appetizers, we enjoyed the beef tartare, clam chowder, and the standout cauliflower hummus. While everything was delicious, the beef tartare and especially the cauliflower hummus were unforgettable. The hummus was incredibly fresh with a perfectly creamy texture—one of my favorite dishes of the night. For our entrées, we tried the double-stack Wagyu smash burger, the beef short rib, and a kale salad. We also ordered side dishes of roasted carrots, truffle mushrooms, and fingerling potatoes—each one absolutely phenomenal and bursting with flavor. All the dishes were vibrant, fresh, and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed a s’mores tart and a pumpkin cheesecake, paired with a cup of coffee. It was the perfect ending to a truly wonderful meal. I highly recommend trying Longleaf before walking the Botanical Garden holiday lights. The lights were breathtaking and made the entire evening even more special. Just a tip: make your Garden Lights reservation for a little earlier than your dinner reservation, since the restaurant is inside the garden and you need entry before dining. We had a small mix-up with our times, but thankfully the staff was very accommodating and made sure we could get to the restaurant without any issues. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience—delicious food, excellent service, and a magical setting. We felt celebrated and cared for the entire evening. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone visiting the garden during the holidays

Had the pleasure of dining at Longleaf, located inside the Atlanta Botanical Garden—and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was spectacular, with beautiful surroundings and a relaxing vibe. I started with the crispy pork belly appetizer—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the sea scallops, which were cooked to perfection. Paired it with a margarita that was smooth, tasty, and not watered down. Service was top-notch—Russ did an excellent job from start to finish. There’s plenty of parking, and while it’s a little on the pricey side, you truly get what you pay for: quality food, great service, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by Longleaf the next time you visit the Botanical Garden. I’ll definitely be going back!

A high-quality restaurant. Delicious drinks, spotless cleanliness, and excellent service. It’s definitely a place you want to come back to. Everything was very tasty, and the prices are great.

🥰🥰 We had an absolutely DIVINE lunch. My girlfriend and I decided to have a girls day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and we stopped here halfway through our tour. We were seated immediately and the staff was friendly and prompt. The ambience was wonderful... the temperature was perfect... seats comfortable. The food and drinks were top tier.

We had a great experience at Longleaf - excellent service, exceptional food, and comfortable atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The lamb bolognese with the Beaune red wine was particularly fantastic! Great experience!!

We had made a reservation for 12:30 PM. It was after 11 AM and the restaurant let us be seated early. After we were seated the restaurant got busier. The service was great. The water was delicious. It was purified water kept in glass bottles. There isn't a vegan entree. I got the portobello mushroom tartare. The top layer of mushroom was savory. The level under was creamy. The tomato mixture around the tartare really added to the dish. The spring vegetable medley was very good. The light sauce made it even better. The roasted carrot hummus was very nice. Everything was played well but the roasted carrot hummus dish was the nicest visually. The restaurant being in the garden was also nice.

Wow! This was not what I was expecting! A real chef, excellent food, everything was great! Orders at our table included Poach Asian Pear and Blue Crab Salad, Halibut and Lump Crabcake Sandwich, plus Smoked Portebello Tatare. I also had a Gate City IPA, I'm not sure which, but it was good. I ordered the Tartare, the presentation and flavors were on point! I also had some of the Crabcake Sandwich, it was great, and a little spicy. Overall, I will visit this restaurant each time I go to the botanical garden.

We dined there last night right before we strolled through the Christmas lights in the gardens. Everything was EXCELLENT especially our server Maya! The food was amazing. Soooo many flavors. Our sons loved their meals ! Our 17yo tried the Duck Confit and ate every bit of it! Maya knew the menu intimately and helped us decide. If you can request Maya, you MUST. She’s a STAR ! We sat outside and it was fine because they have the clear vinyl walls up so it wasn’t too cold. Our reservations were at 5:15 and we walked out dinner off strolling thru the gardens afterwards. Oh! The pumpkin cheesecake was AMAZING!! MAya, thank you for taking such great care of us!

We had such a lovely meal here, which was a pleasant surprise given the other reviews- we almost didn’t try it! The cocktails were unique and well balanced. I especially enjoyed the hibiscus-infused Cheshire Grin. The blue crab salad was delicious with a generous portion of fresh crab. For our mains, the April special fresh seafood stew was incredibly flavorful and balanced, with each type of seafood still retaining its distinct flavor. I appreciated how properly cooked each type of seafood was. Finally, the risotto came as a generous portion filling the whole bowl; it was so flavorful and I loved the seasonal white asparagus in it. Our server was kind and prompt, with only moderate wait times between ordering and receiving drinks/mains. We ate at 2pm on a Saturday for reference. Overall we had a lovely time, and I only wish I lived nearby so I could come back!

Drinks were excellent. Would recommend Gnome for the Holidays. Tuna, mushroom tartare, and octopus (not pictured) were great. The biggest complaint is that the octopus dish is one tentacle. Hazelnut and chocolate cake was good but a little dry. Great service and atmosphere.

We stopped here during our wanderings through the botanical garden. It was looking like it was about to rain so we dipped in to eat and wait out the rain. Food was excellent. The salad I had is a new favorite, for sure. The restaurant was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. It got a little loud at times, but everything else was so great that it didn’t really matter.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant located in the Atlanta Botanical Garden! Very fancy, reservations can make things go quicker. It may be pricey but you're getting five star food from five star staff. The cafe is also great for a quick stop with simple sandwiches, drinks and snacks.

Had an amazing experience for my mothers 81st birthday this weekend. The service the food and the drinks were all top-notch. They are just as short staffed as everyone else during Covid… But it didn’t show in the quality of the food or the kindness of the servers… and my goodness order drinks at the bar! We had about four rounds of the spicy Paloma. Amazing.. we had the shrimp and grits, the steak, And almost every appetizer on the menu. Recommend everything!

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food and service. If you are attending the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights, Longleaf is a great addition to your evening.

Our waitress was Tyra, and she was amazing! Even though we were seated within 15-20 minutes of closing time, that did not affect the service we received here. After viewing the lights in the garden, the restaurant felt so heavenly: perfectly warm and cozy! We had a reservation, so we were seated promptly. We started off with drinks and appetizers. I had the Black Heart (9/10)- I would have preferred for it to be just a hint sweeter, but still good and on theme for the holidays. He had an Old Fashion (8.5/10)- they only had one whiskey to choose from, so there's that. For starters, I had the Roasted Beet Salad (7/10), and he had the Caesar Salad (9/10). The beet salad said it came with shallot vinaigrette and crumbled bleu, there was no bleu, and either they forgot the vinaigrette or it was very lightly tossed or drizzled because it lacked the necessary acidity. However, I love beets, and the other flavor profiles did blend well together, so I still enjoyed it overall. His Caesar salad featured housemade dressing and croutons. It was very light and they delivered on this classic. For my entrée, I had the Fried Branzino with a side of Broccolini (10/10). It was my first time having this fish, and this dish set the bar high. The branzino was seasoned and fried perfectly! The grits were creamy and perfectly salted! And the puttanesca was a great compliment to the main attraction! My love had the 8 oz. Filet (10/10) with a medium temperature. That filet was phenomenal! It was cooked beautifully, and the Italian salsa verde took it to another level. After dinner, Chef Richard Brown came to meet us so we could give him his culinary flowers and personally thank him for a wonderful meal. He was very gracious and humble. He asked us if we needed anything else (we were stuffed, so we declined) and informed us of the membership the garden offers. I loved my dining experience here so much. The furniture was eccentric, it had nice lighting and the bathrooms were clean. They definitely won us over! So much so that we're contemplating becoming members so we can visit for more often!

I absofrigginlootely love this place......everything about it! My lovely friend and I really enjoyed their Peach Blue Crab Salad. I had Salmon with mine and my friend had Shrimp with hers. It was delightful and our Server Joshua was very attentive and helpful in his suggestions. Thank you!

The atmosphere is what brought us to Longleaf. We were at the garden and started to get hungry. We're used to museums having food that's about average so we figured this would be about the same, we were wrong! This food is not your typical museum tier food, this is higher end restaurant food. We ordered a hummus platter for rhe table which I expected to be small, it was not. It came out very large with fresh vegetables that looked like they might have been grown at the garden. I ordered the mixed vegetables which I expected to be underwhelming, but again was not. My girlfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which was presented extremely well and she said it was delicious. I can attest to the fries as well. Everything was great, not your typical museum/garden restaurant!

We reserve the table for my friend's birthday lunch. We all dressed up in tea party dresses because we technically wanted a tea party but we didn't have a venue nice enough so we decided to come to the botanical gardens to celebrate. The service was a little slow but given the weekend and the size of our party I didn't think it was too long and plus it gave us time to socialize but I don't think they're used to parties that big. The food was absolutely amazing I love healthy clean food that allows the flavors of the actual food to come through

I had an early dinner here today and I must say the salmon sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. My daughter had the burger and I had a piece of it and it was very good also. Our waiter was having a hard time with our table. But he kept his head up and made the best of it. We made fun of all the mishaps and hoped he relaxed. My family and I left him a good tip for being professional and not letting our service get the best of him.

Excellent staff members and quite the location to dine in! But if you are going just for eating then be prepared to pay entrance ticket as well. The food, the ambiance, the setting is great at longleaf restaurant. When we arrived on the weekend, it was packed with customers but the food still came out in reasonable time tasting delicious. Definitely recommend!

Staff were extremely kind and friendly and the dining experience was lovely overall. The food was fresh and delicious, if pricy. The peach cobler with ice cream tasted home made and was phenomenal. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at the gardens as I ate.

Had a fantastic late lunch after an afternoon of touring the gardens. We started with the bread course, which was an amazing homemade focaccia with flake salt. It was simple but divine, and I would highly recommend it as a starter. For my main, I had the mushroom gnocchi. It was quite an unexpected curry flavor, but I cannot overstate how much I loved it its unique taste. We tried the duck confit as well, and found it moist and flavorful, if a bit over seasoned with the salt.

The food was very well balanced. Enjoyed the fact that the menu is seasonal based. The food combinations were paired well as in protein with vegetables. The trout with the cream pecan sauce was very complex and earthy with a hint of sweet from the pecans. The salmon dish had a pickled garnish and it was very light and zesty. The banana bread pudding was phenomenal

Stopped in while taking in the gardens and what a pleasant surprise. The dining atmosphere was casual but had a mature setting. Food was good. We had the fries to start (well seasoned) and I had the fish and chips. Fish was halibut, a lovely meaty fish. Enjoyed the entire experience and wait staff was very accommodating.

My wife and I had an incredible experience on Christmas Day. We enjoyed the botanical garden light show, and ended our night at Longleaf. Our waiter, Jay, was great and thoroughly explained all of the options. It was evident he has a passion for food and service. My wife ordered the longleaf cheeseburger. It was a double smash burger style burger and it was delicious. I got the short rib on Jay’s suggestion and it was absolutely phenomenal. We ordered pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and it was incredible as well. The atmosphere was great as well with everyone in the Christmas spirit.

My wife and I had lunch at Longleaf during our first visit to the botanical gardens. The menu is impressive for a small restaurant inside another attraction. However even more impressive was the food. I had the short rib and my wife had a salad with salmon. Both were delicious. The rib was incredibly soft and full of flavor. The fresh bread is also a must. Aside from the food, the service was also excellent. Compliments to our waitress! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant when you are at the Atlanta botanical gardens!

We had a lovely time, we came in to escape the rain while at the Botanic Gardens. We had drinks and some breads and hummus. Food sizes were quite generous despite those being shared nibbles. Bread and butter was exquisite. Would have liked to order more and have a full meal.

I had a great time dining here for lunch. There was no wait and we sat on the patio. Luckily, there were bugs flying around. Our server Ajeema was great! She was nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. The dishes are plated so beautifully and with attention to detail. The drinks were very high quality. Kudos to the bartender, they have the standard of a mixologist. I didn’t like that the hostess told us that it’ll cost an extra $25 to sit on the patio. We almost didn’t stay cuz what restaurant charges to sit on a patio? She said she was joking but she should stick to her day job and not comedy. The duck confit was okay, I’ve had better tasting duck.

Came in today (Tuesday June 10, 2025) around 12:30pm while visiting the gardens. What a great day to have lunch on the patio. The weather was perfect for us anyway and we got to sit on the patio, under the roof of the restaurant and enveloped in the gorgeous green canopy of the beautiful botanical gardens. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated even though there were many open tables. After being seated we waited about 15 minutes for our server. There seemed to be only 2 or possibly 3 servers for the whole restaurant so perhaps they had a staffing shortage today. Luckily we happened to get the best server ever by the name of Ajeema, who is extremely pleasant, professional and efficient. We had already chosen our appetizers and entrees so we were able to give our orders right away. The food came out pretty quickly once we ordered which was great. For an appetizer to share we had the Tartare of Beef, which was wagyu beef, bone marrow, chanterelle and egg yolk and anchovie aioli with chips. The flavor of this was incredible, you could faintly taste every little ingredient, but they were distinct and yet melded together well. Next appetizer we had the poached pear/coppa de corse flatbread, which is basically pizza. This dish is incredibly good. I can say I’m not sure if there was a pear flavor, it’s hard to describe the flavor really, but it was incredibly fresh and tasty with a very light crust, topped with arugula. Really enjoyed this “pizza”. Our entree was the fish and chips which normally is “halibut “ and fries, but they had no halibut so substituted with rainbow trout. There’s a big difference between halibut and rainbow trout but we bit the bullet and tried it. The trout was fresh tasting enough but the breading/crust really took away from the flavor, and it was very dry. As for the fries, I’m not big on fries but these were very unique. I couldn’t describe the flavor exactly, it was if they were seasoned with some kind of spices you might find on a piece of chicken or maybe even fish (?), again I’m not sure but they were extremely fresh, very tasty and incredibly light with very little grease for french fries. We just had waters with our meals since we would be walking the gardens after. So for 3 small dishes and waters we paid $64. We probably should have not ordered the fish and chips since they didn’t have halibut so that was a disappointment. Our server Ajeema was the spotlight of the visit. If more restaurants had staff members of such caliber the world would be a better place. Since it was my friend’s birthday today and Ajeema’s birthday is also close she was nice enough to bring out a small pastry to celebrate; man that was like the absolute best thing ever and really made our day! Thanks again Ajeema and hope you have the best birthday ever! Parking is ample and of course the location and atmosphere is impeccable. Definitely recommend.

Service was very slow initially, but the food and drinks were sooooooo good. We had the pear flatbread as an appetizer, and it was out of this world! Our server, J, was great and answered any questions we had about the menu. Will definitely be back.

The Pear and Crab salad was sweet and delicious. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection. The burger tasted fresh and juicy. The squash soup was tasty but a bit spicy. The Merlot was smooth. All in all a good experience.

A nice restaurant, the reservation is using the Open Table app, and do make the reservation if you're coming during the busy holiday period. The food is a hit and miss. Their salad and flatbread are always wonderful, some of the entrée were great, like the burger, cog au vin, duck confit. However, the squid ink tagliolini was too salty for my liking. I personally think none of the Atlanta restaurants ever serve a great squid ink pasta yet. The servers were nice and very helpful, we always get our waters filled on time. Overall, this is a nice place to have lunch/dinner if you visit the garden.

I came to the Botanical Gardens with my partner for a lovely date through the flowers. The morning of the date, we called to see if the restaurant takes walk-ins, and we’re told reservations were not needed. When we stopped in the restaurant after walking around for a while and asked for a sit, the hostess told us it would be a 3 hour wait. Of course we still wanted to eat there, so we stopped at the bar to get a friend while we wait. While waiting to receive our not very Mexican Mules, the hostess tells us our table is ready early. As delighted as we were to get our table sooner, the wait time to order food was unbelievable. Luckily, after we finally ordered, the manager at the time came over to apologize. We order the yummy cheese board as a starter. (I’m not sure if most people like blue cheese, but my feedback would be to replaced the blue cheese with a different option.) For the main entrees, we ordered the Steak Frites well-medium, and the Spring Risotto. The steak was more well-done than well-medium, but I guess better over cooked than under cooked. I loved the Spring Risotto. I wish we ordered dessert, but next time we will. Thank you to Anaya the hostess and Scott the Manager for giving us great customer service.

We stopped at Longleaf after a long day in the Botanical Gardens. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 5 (including two kids), which was fairly easy. The reputation of this place proceeded it, which was part of the reason I was so excited to try it. The food was really good, especially the kids meals, which were small and affordable yet interesting and well thought out. I got a Chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. It was also presented very well and reminded me from of something from a much fancier restaurant than a botanical gardens cafe. The downside of this place was the service, we waited for over 30 minutes for our meal. This would have been less of a problem if we were not dining with two young kids. They did bring out the kids meals first and I appreciated this thoughtfulness. All in all, this a gem. It's a great place for a date or a fancy lunch. Don't expect good service though. It seems to be poorly staffed at the moment.

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch and food was very good. had a party of four adults and two kids so got to try much of the menu and everything was very fresh and quite delicious. The restaurant got pretty busy over the course of our meal and service started to get slower due to that but our waitress was attentive when she stopped by. I enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits and my wife had the burger which was also good. Fries were a hit with the table, especially the kiddos and we tried the root vegetable hash which was very delicious. Kids had blueberry pancakes and grilled cheese, and they devowered both, and we snuck a bite of the pancakes which were very good! Some cons were that it did take quite a while for us to get our food and to also get the check, but overall it was a good brunch.

This was a pretty good restaurant to enjoy a meal outdoors in the gardens. The menu is small and simple, but tasty. They do also serve alcohol here if you'd like some. I enjoyed the brief recharge for lunch before heading back out into nature.

Very nice restaurant and sorta fancy for some people. But overall the place is nice and quiet. You can sit inside or outside. The staff are friendly and very courteous. Very well handled. The food is delicious and very well prepared. The grass fed burger is delicious and has a very good taste. It isn't your average burger. The service was not bad. Just took a little to get the food. But no complaints there since they have to make the food.

My wife and I visited the Atlanta Botanical Gardens on the night of the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights experience! Overall the experience of its sit down restaurant, LongLeaf, was a decent experience, but not one I’d foot the bill for again down the road. Upon arrival we were seated well before our reservation which we have their great hostess to thank for. When seated though, we were placed between a couple and business dinner guests that wouldn’t move their seat to allow for space which led us to walk around the entire edge of the restaurant in order to squeeze through the other side between another couple and more business diners. After being seated it was roughly 10 minutes before a server greeted us and asked us for drinks in which they rushed directly to asking for our entrees. Thankfully given the extra time we had to browse the menu before being greeted by the server we did already know what we wanted. After placing our order we were given our drinks and shortly after came out the French Onion Dip as an appetizer. This dish was a great starter and didn’t fill us up too much before entrees. Although a delicious dish, it could have come with more bread. Once the bread was finished there was still more than half of the French Onion Dip available. Moving onto entrees, my wife got the Bruschetta Risotto which was delicious and creamy. I ordered the LongLeaf Cheeseburger which was also tasty although the buns of the burger were cold, almost like they were taken out of the fridge. Paired with french fries, the burger was good and house sauce really added to the flavor, however half of the french fries were made crispy to the point I was eating a chip. In conclusion, an atmosphere that fits that of a pleasant sit down restaurant paired with poor table placement and comfort makes for a 3/5 rating for Atmosphere. The service although starting out strong fell short as the serving staff were very slow to greet and continued to be slow throughout the night, putting the “long” in LongLeaf and a 3/5 rating for Service. Although an alright Service and Atmosphere, the food did pick up where the they lacked and brought the Food rating to a 4/5. Overall rating the LongLeaf Restaurant at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens a 3/5.

The Longleaf restaurant is situated within the Botanical Gardens. The restaurant offers a delightful atmosphere that complements the garden theme, making it perfect for a relaxing evening or a special occasion. The décor is warm and inviting, featuring charming details that enhance the ambiance. The food is good, with a few standout dishes that are sure to please, although it doesn't quite reach the top tier. Unfortunately, the service can be quite slow, which detracts from the overall experience. If you’re not in a hurry and prioritize a great setting over prompt service, this place may be worth a visit.

Service wasn't great. Waitress didn't let us know what was on the cheese or charcuterie board. Dessert I ordered was the chocolate mouse, it was nicely plated. They allow you to order a wine to go, so that's a nice plus.

I made a reservation in mid-January to take my two stepdaughters, one's partner and two friends to lunch after the flower show on Feb. 21. It was also my birthday lunch. The reservation time was 12:15. We got to the restaurant at noon and the host told us he couldn't seat us until 12:15 so we said, "Fine, we'll just walk around." We came back at 12:15, and he said he didn't have any tables available for six people inside. It was raining, and we did not want to sit outside. I mentioned that I had made a reservation IN JANUARY. His attitude was pretty much, "Tough." There were two tables for six that had two people each at them. Those people had obviously been recently seated, as they only had water. We added two seats to a table for four. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to come take our drink orders and some women at the table next to us told us they had been waiting an hour for their food (which, we noticed when they got it, were SALADS.) We were about ready to get up and leave, but our waiter came. We told him we did not have all afternoon, and he seemed to understand. He managed to get our drinks and our food out fairly promptly. (They were out of teacups for hot tea, so we got paper cups.) The food was fine, and our waiter was great. But I don't think I'll be celebrating my birthday at Longleaf ever again. The reservation system is just awful.

This could be skewed due to being the day after Christmas. We entered the Gardens at 5:00 for the Garden Nights & Holiday Lights and spent the first 35 minutes on the Ice Godess loop. The Bad We showed up at Longleaf 9 minutes before our 5:45 reservation and were encouraged to come back in 5 to ten minutes. I didn't see anyone waiting to be seated. We went to look at the G scale trains for 5 minutes and returned to be seated. After my wife ordered Sancerre, the server returned saying they were out but would she like to try the Rosé. My wife wanted to taste it first and that was agreed. It was more than 20 minutes before the sample was delivered and it was not acceptable, seemed watery. Another wine was chosen. Oysters were delivered but we had to ask which three were East Coast and which were West Coast and request spoons for the sauces. We became Donor members of the Botanical Gardens a month ago and I thought the membership included a discount at restaurants. The server told me that was only in September which I thought odd. I asked a manager and was told the discount was always available. Late in the meal we were advised our server had left for the evening. The server that took over had 3 other tables going and did nothing apart from fill a water glass but I assume she received the tip on a $200 check. The Good The oysters were enjoyed. The crispy pork belly was very tasty and paired nicely with the apples. Two people shared scallops which were outstanding. My duck confit was very nice and the cassoulet was tasty. The burger was juicy and delicious and fries were great. If we return, I hope the service will match the food experience we enjoyed this time.

My server did an amazing job the food, a strawberry salad of some sort was not only delicious but had been plated beautifully, I also ordered a hibiscus lime cocktail- the cocktail was served with a dried lime and a pansy I asked about the flower since it had nothing to do with the drink and truly believe the drink would be more elegant without the edible flower that was completely useless other than esthetics I heard the bartender basically yell across the restaurant it was edible - which was obviously directed towards me so unprofessional- I was later told by my server it was a pansy as I thought the bartender had chosen to increase her food cost for a completely useless reason and tried shaming one of the patrons, me, I will admit I appear disheveled due to running around town on a hot humid day, being from CA was not use to Altanta’s weather, but regardless of my appearance it was completely unacceptable to have that behavior towards any paying patron. I was ultimately disappointed in the service I received. The food was delicious! And both the hostess and server did a great job too bad the bartender had ruined the experience

This restaurant needs to update their food. I ordered a dish Artichoke Risotto that tasted and looked like oily rice soup. It was disgusting. I should have complained but I was with friends. Update your menu. Will I return? NO, I'll pack a picnic lunch. The Risotto should be plated with artichoke Bruschetta attached is a pic of how Risotto should look. Longleaf needs an overhaul. More vegetarian options too. After all it's located at botanical gardens.

We went to the Botanical Garden’s holiday light show for the first time and thought a dinner at Longleaf would be a perfect add on. It was not perfect. To start, there was an off-putting smell in the restaurant as soon as you walked in. The hostess was very kind and made a point to tell us that we would have a surprise birthday dessert for the one of us who was celebrating a birthday. We were pretty excited about that. The restaurant was about 3/4 full. There appeared to be only 2 or 3 servers available as the rest were setting tables for a very large party. Our wait was too long for the number of people in the restaurant. We waited for water, for drinks, and then eventually for our food. We had a lovely view of the lights outdoors and we were in very good spirits because we were celebrating a birthday so we took it all in stride. We ordered the banana Manhattan, which was very good. We also ordered a spiced pear cocktail, which was also tasty. The clam chowder was a healthy portion and tasted nice. The garden salad was also a very large portion. The dressing cup on the side was about 1/4 full. We had to ask for more. The short rib and mushroom risotto was recommended. The short rib was quite tasty. The risotto was undercooked and lacked flavor. Jayla, the server, offered to take it back, but we had already waited so long and we still hadn’t walked the garden yet, so we ate the short rib and left the risotto. (They gave us a whopping $6 off of the $32.) The fish and chips looked good. But, only the chips actually tasted good. The fish had a great batter, but was oddly soft and wet - like it was raw. It did not taste good. Both portions were very large. The birthday treat was a slice of tiramisu. And that, too, was just plain bad. Honestly, the worst tiramisu I have ever had. No flavor, strange texture, and… WE WERE CHARGED $10! How dare you tell us we’re “getting” a birthday treat as if it is complimentary and then charge us for it?! And it was bad, to boot! This was what took us over, and prompted this review. Super disappointing overall. We will see the lights again. We will not eat at Longleaf again.

Food was good but overpriced. Service just horrible. Food took forever, 1 hour for the main meal it is a joke, our server, a young black gentleman with dreads, barely checked our table and it was impossible to catch his attention to get us a second round of drinks, so as the other people on the staff, Definitely not coming back, not even worth a tip.

Came here for Valentines Day. Ordered the Fish and Chips which was not only undercooked but also reeked of ammonia which is often a sign of spoiled fish. I do not believe this a place you should order seafood. After taking 1 bite of the fish I could not eat it and now have what I believe is food poisoning. This place is nice in theory (a restaurant situated in the Botanical Gardens) however for an experience that requires garden entrance just to partake, the food should be much better quality. I would not recommend anyone eat here.
