Opiniones de ALC Steaks Austin
Had a great meal here. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Five stars. Happy hour is also excellent.
We ordered the crab cakes, which were absolutely delicious. For the main courses, we opted for Ribeyes, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. As for the sides, we had Brussel sprouts, baked potatoes, and Mac & cheese. While all the sides were tasty, the Mac & cheese truly stood out as the star of the show. On a side note, I highly recommend trying the steak sauce sampler, which comes with four different sauces for just $11. The sauces were of high quality, and it was a delightful experience to savor each new flavor with every bite.
Definitely a 4 star type restaurant but the extrè came with one side instead of a la carte. I have been to more expensive restaurants with nore flamboyant presentations. My food was excellent. I had the Grilled Pork Chops. They were moist not dry. The Chili glaze was slightly spicy, but paired nicely with the pork. The Basalmic Dijon Brussel Spouts were also very good. Others in my party had Chicken Fried steak, Lobster tail, Surf and Turf, Steaks and Wedge salad. All said they were very good. $$$ we averaged $120 per person including each of us had a drink. Nice subdued atmosphere.
Went here for my birthday recently and was blown away!! The Ribeye was fantastic and the sauce flight is a MUST. Staff was great as well. Let me pick any desert for free and even gifted me their signature seasoning! Highly recommend. 🙌🏻
Amazing experience at ALC Steaks! The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The grilled buffalo lamb chops were absolutely incredible—tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. One of the best meals I’ve had in Austin. Highly recommend!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Jeff, our server, for his exceptional service. Upon my return, I would be delighted to have him serve me again. He recommended an exquisite wine and dessert for my birthday celebration. The cuisine here is of the highest caliber, with perfectly cooked steaks that were seasoned to perfection. Every dish, from the fried mushrooms to the main course, was flavorful and well-prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely return.
I got the porterhouse, wife got the ribeye. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Basically we got to try 3 different steaks, and it was incredible. Baked potato was good, cream corn was good but spicy, and we kind of wish the brussel sprouts were cooked a little more, but overall an excellent meal.
Yall the filet migñon was amazing! I’m not a big steak eater and this was the first time in my life I finished 10 ounce steak because it was so delicious!! The sauces added a fun delight to bites, but the steak definitely didn’t need it. The recommendation of Cabernet paired perfectly with my meal. Overall indulgent, luxurious, and mouth watering meal. Would definitely come back!
Phenomenal place. Jeff really helped make our anniversary one to remember. Cocktails were good. Old fashioned was the right amount of stiff. My wife loved her salad. Her steak, the pork chops, the Brussels, and broccolini were perfect. The only detractors were the glazed carrots were kind of a homogenous mess and the sweet potato fries were lackluster. However just passing on those, the experience was top notch and I highly recommend it. Ask for jeff! Gregarious, polite, knowledgeable, engaging.
Ah, my dear friend, permit me to regale you with the tale of a most delightful dining experience. As fate would have it, I recently had the pleasure of visiting ALC Steakhouse in the vibrant city of Austin. It is truly a place where the old world meets the new, and where the flavors of the finest cuisine are celebrated with an artistic flair. To begin, let me tell you about the Filet King, a dish that could make any carnivore swoon. This exquisitely prepared cut of meat was tender, succulent, and cooked to perfection, just as one would expect from a master of the culinary arts. It was simply a symphony of flavors, a tribute to the bounties of the earth. And then there was the chicken, which was anything but ordinary. Each bite was a testament to the skill of the chef, who transformed a humble bird into a work of art. The aroma alone was enough to transport one to a place of pure bliss, while the taste did nothing less than dance upon the palate. As for the crab cakes, they were a revelation. Each morsel was a delightful blend of the finest seafood, expertly seasoned and enveloped in a delicate, golden crust. It was a treat so divine that even the gods on Mount Olympus would have been envious. But it was the lemon cake that truly stole the show. This ethereal confection was the very embodiment of culinary perfection. Each bite was a tantalizing journey to a world of sweet citrus and velvety smoothness that left even the most discerning of palates in a state of utter bliss. In summary, my dear friend, ALC Steakhouse is a veritable treasure trove of gastronomic delights. The mastery of the culinary arts displayed within its walls is unparalleled, and the dining experience it offers is one that will be etched in your memory for all time. To indulge in a meal at ALC Steakhouse is to savor life itself.
Great experience at Austin Land and Cattle! The meat of the Ribeye was very tender with Argentinian Steak being the best quality steak my wife has ever had. Being a shrimp lover, I would have appreciated 1-2 more shrimps for the cocktail but it was great! Mac and cheese is also a must-have! Would definitely go there again for a dinner date or if friends coming from out of town.
We visited ALC Steakhouse to celebrate an anniversary and were excited to finally try it after hearing the hype. The vibe is very much Texas meets classic steakhouse. It’s quite dark inside where we were sat, and thats coming from a 40year old who doesn't require glasses. You could easily dress up or keep it casual and still feel comfortable. Parking is free, which is always a plus, but the lot is pretty small. One thing we appreciated is that all steaks come with full sides! Service was friendly, but slower than expected. It took about 10-15 minutes before we were greeted at the table, and while we had noted the anniversary in the reservation, it wasn’t acknowledged or brought up. Not a dealbreaker, but something we were hoping for given the occasion. Even throughout the evening it seemed rather slow. Food-wise: • Dinner Rolls – Cute, small with good flavor, though the exterior was a bit tougher than preferred. • Buffalo Lamb Chops – Fun concept and flavor, but the lamb was gamier and tougher than expected. The dipping sauce, however, was excellent. • Filet Mignon – We were told this was their top quality cut. It was good and a fair price for the size, but didn’t wow me. • 16oz Ribeye – Our favorite of the night. Better flavor and texture than the filet. • Seared Zucchini – Loved this. Great taste and sear. • Roasted Broccolini – Super crispy florets — a win. • Asparagus with Chimichurri – Good snap. • Brownie Pie – Served hot and we added ice cream. Basically a delicious chocolate lava cake and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, it was good, just not mind-blowing or the best steakhouse experience we’ve had, especially given the reputation. That said, we’d come back for the ribeye, veggie sides, and dessert.
We came to enjoy a birthday dinner while in Austin. Food was fine but service was subpar. Our waiter took our plate prior to the meal being finished, drinks were slow and there was very little engagement with the wait staff. Not an establishment to visit again.
Heard a lot of good about ALC. Made reservations for 715 on a Saturday evening. Was able to get in right away when we walked in at 7:10. We were seated and it took A bit before the waiter showed up. He never introduced himself, Just asked if we Wanted to start with drinks. A few minutes later, water showed up at about roughly 10 minutes later our drink showed up.. One thing I noticed right off the bat a lot of very loud people, They also seemed short staffed. Ordered a York strip, medium rare and it came out medium to medium well. Season was OK not great, I also had the brussels sprouts which were not very good but I ate them anyway because I was pretty hungry. I understand it was Weekend before Christmas and a lot of people getting together, but the business should prepare for that. Don’t know if I would go back I’ll give it three stars.
Last week, my partner and I made a reservation at ALC Steaks on North Lamar in Austin. Here’s our experience: Atmosphere: the restaurant gives “fine dining” vibes, but you can tell people come in dressed as they please. So there’s no dress code. When you walk in there’s low lighting which gives it a dark feel. This normally doesn’t bother me, but the fact that there weren’t many windows and little ventilation made me feel like I was in a basement. Speaking of ventilation, you can smell the various foods from everywhere, which wasn’t the most comfortable. Obviously, at a restaurant, you’ll smell food. But the smell just kept lingering as we sat down and we were put off by it a little. Seating: We had made a reservation (not walk-in) and so it was a little disappointing when we were seated at a table with missing cutlery. Service: Brian (or Bryan?) was our server. He was lovely! I think as it got busy near the end of our dinner, it took a while to come back around to us when we wanted the check; however, his service throughout was wonderful. Food: We ordered the Buratta as an appetizer; it wasn’t as lovely as expected to be honest. The cheese was a little too cold and not stringy on the inside. It was good, just would have hoped for a bit more texture and flavour. I ordered the surf and turf, medium-rare steak. The steak was actually rare. Still alright but it was a little cooler than if it would have been cooked medium-rare. The lobster was AMAZING. My partner ordered the filet mignon well done with rice. The rice was delicious, but his steak was medium. Not too big of a deal, but if the kitchen doesn’t serve well-done it would be nice to know beforehand. Drinks: we don’t drink alcohol, so it was a nice touch to see Mocktail options. Overall, this is a nice restaurant. A bit on the pricey end which is why we had high expectations.
Classic solid steakhouse, typical menu of steaks with all the sides available. Warm rolls! My steak was juicy and cooked as per requested. The service was wonderful and they have plenty of last minute reservations available. The space is a bit outdated, but if you don’t care to be in the “scene” then this is a good go to. This is a great spot for low key steak night.
Got surf and turf ($135). Ordered medium but the filet came back super rare. Waited for a while and eventually asked a bus boy to fetch the server. They recooked the steak ok but the lobster was like rubber by the time it came back. Also the lobster was plain/unremarkable. They offered nothing. No discounts, dessert, not even a coffee. With all the great steak places in town, I’ll be skipping this one going forward.
