The bar was going up on a Monday! It was my last night in Austin and I was debating on going to 6th street alone. I am so glad I went! As I walking down the strip, I heard people singing at the top of their lungs and I decided to see what this bar was about. You’re met with a huge Jackalope right in the middle. I immediately said I must take a photo of myself on it!! That night at the bar was a mixture of karaoke and music being played. Music was great and the vibes were immaculate in there!!!

Great after concert place to hang out. Atmosphere and food was really good. Bartenders were super friendly as well.

Angel the bartender made my night!! Only had a few beers before moving on but I caught a big chunk of the Santa Clause playing on the tv!! Excellent excellent excellence! 10/10 I won't visit Austin without stopping by again! Patrons as friendly as the staff!!

This was the only spot in Austin that I was able to find my brand of beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon). The food was good, friendly service, and had an amazing young man playing acoustic versions of popular songs. He even took requests and killed it! If I were to imagine what a dive bar in Austin would be; it's the Jackalope.🤘😁🍺

Jackelope was legit! I got the BEC with a smashed patty and the sweet potato tots. The sweet potato tots are insannnnnnely good! I could eat those all day! There are a lot of pics of naked chicks...could do without that personally....but...it's a bar I suppose. Service was excellent and the prices were really good. Make sure to take a pic on the giant Jackalope!

My favorite bar in Austin!! I LOVE THE JACKALOPE!! Super chill friendly vibe! I found them from triple D(Diners, Drive-In’s, and Dives). The drinks and food was really good! The bartenders Nico and Sarah were the best! They were super fun and nice! They made great cocktails. Highly recommend The Jackalope to wet your whistle or grab a bite to eat!

Lovely dive bar, hole in the wall vibe, very nice and friendly bartenders. They have a giant shareable cocktail, good for party of 4+. Good food too. We visited here on a Saturday afternoon and found 2 hour street parking which is really convenient. In the bar they also have a huge Jackalope which you can ride!

Was walking around sixth and randomly asked a bouncer where was a good spot to grab a bite. He immediately pointed to Jackalope and he was right on the money. Food was good and drinks were decently priced. Really enjoyed the fries. Not too many places give you some quality seasoned fries but Jackalope won't fall short. The bartenders constantly asked if we were taken care off and the live music was entertaining.

Some disappointing factors to think about. #1 i bought 4 drinks for $25. I bought 2 of the same four drinks and it was $38. Different bartenders. Someone is ripping people off. #2 there is no food anymore. #3 some employees are cool and fun and some there just aren't.

I went here for lunch and it was okay. The burgers don’t come with any sides but the drink specials are great and the bartenders are heavy handed :). If you’re not a regular you will be passed over a little while they chat.

This was just a bar or this is the wrong location. There was no food looked like a cool bar though.

They add a 20% gratuity with-out telling you. Ordered 2 drinks once and the tip was already included. Maybe it's just this bar in 6th street. The other bars I went to did not.

Disgusting 🤮 is all I will say. Just bought 2 Pizzas slices from here was old and crusty. I wish my husband should have said something and not after the fact that the pizza looked overcooked. When we drove by I had an impulsive reaction and threw the pizza in front on the store. 😩😩🤣🤣 needless to say I should've stick to home slice.

The white boy bouncer at the door last night was rude & unprofessional. Sunday fundays are sometimes slow, but jack was one of the slowest bars I went into last night and it’s probably because of the way he was acting. You can’t have an attitude at the door and expect people to want to be in there. It’s sad because jack used to be one of my favorites, now it’s just attitude all the time. I don’t recommend.

Be wary of the woman bartender with braids, she will scam you. I was there tonight, 10/11/25, i ordered the first round, i was charged $22+ before tip, for two native Texans on draft. My coworker ordered the next round, same 2 beers $18+ before tip. THEY WILL SCAM YOU. Always ask for an itemized receipt here. There food is decent but if they are going to be ripping people off, I will not be recommendation this place. Also, it does not pass my personal vibe check. They hire professional molesters to frisk you at the door. Any place where your personal space is invaded before you enter is never worth supporting. Buy metal detectors if security is that much of a concern. Absolutely not a place worth visiting. Go to Casino El Camino, they don't scam or touch you at the door.

Was here yesterday 7/31/25 around 5:00 pm. Bought 3 beers and got charged DOUBLE the price. I forgot to pick up my second receipt , I don’t know if the girl gave herself a bigger tip but this is NOT okay. This used to be one of my favorite spots until this happened.
