I crave their California Chicken tacos! They're so good!! As is their chips and salsa, always fresh! The atmosphere is relaxed and lively. Their outdoor seating areas are shaded so whether you're hiding from the sun or the rain, you still have the option of you want the outdoor scenery! The service is always done with a smile and it's quick! Won't be disappointed, promise!

The kitchen lost our receipt. So we were waiting for our food. But we had drinks so we didn't even pay much attention. They apologized and gave us a gift card to make up for the wait. We're here all the time, first time this has happened. We weren't too worried. Food is great. Drinks are greats. Just a friendly atmosphere and fun.

As a family of 4 with young children we love going to chuys for lunch, but we try to avoid the evening crowd. Last night we decided to stop by for dinner. Food was great as usual, but we noticed kids with balloons 🎈 at a few tables. We noticed a guy walking around checking in on tables, laughing and talking with customers. When he stopped by our table he introduced himself as Drew the GM..he brought my son’s balloon and some coloring sheets. He was so nice and checked in on us later. It was great! A few other Chuys staff came by to see if we were doing alright. It was really nice to see smiles on people’s faces while they worked. On the way out Drew took the time to wave bye to our kiddos and even remembered their names. My husband and I both agreed that was one of our best visits. Chuys has always been great food and vibe…but it was got even better when you know the people that manage it are awesome people too! Plan on making it a regular dinner spot too!

I ordered my dinner from Chuy's on Rosedale here in Bakersfield. It has been at least over 15 or more years that I've eaten food from Chuy's Restaurant.. I have never forgotten how absolutely delicious the three street tacos (Chico style) were, so that's what I ordered this time.. ..It was just as delicious as I remembered!! 😊 * Heather ( Night Manager) aside from being accommodating, she has got to be the friendliest and sweetest employee of a restaurant establishment I may have ever come across! I will DEFINITELY be recommending this Chuy's Restaurant to whoever listens🙂

I love this place! They have good food. I really like their Chicken salads. I have always had a good experience here. Staff is always friendly and the place looks clean. I like the artwork on the walls but it's nice to sit outside too with the family. I like that we can serve our own chips and salsa well we wait for our food too. :)

My husband ordered the family pack and the chicken was so delicious.🍗 It was moist and the flavoring was excellent...it was the bomb. 💣We really enjoyed the black beans and the coleslaw as well. Keep up the good work. Most definitely will be a repeat customer! Those boys can grill! 😊

I love this place! Great people! Great food! They have a really nice selection of food choices. The burritos are delicious. Their chili verde tacos are delicious. But most of all, their people are friendly and fun to be around. Tonight, I had friends from down south visiting, they wanted to go to a fun place to get a bite to eat before heading home. My first thought was Chuy's. Tonight (Thursday) had a fun display of car collectors showing their cars and trucks in the parking lot. So much fun talking with these car people! Every time I pass by I see lots of people having a good time in the parking lot. I will definitely keep Chuy's as my #1 place to bring my friends. Thank you Chuy's!

This place is a total 180 of the last time I was here. I visited Chuy’s a few times back in ‘19 and ‘20 when I moved here and didn’t like it. My fiancé asked me to go a few weeks ago and we had an excellent experience. Top notch staff, not a bunch of girls with cleavage flirting with married dudes. Just respectful men and women ensuring a great customer experience. I thought “this must be a fluke” and went home. Well today we came back to test out the theory. To my surprise we got greeted walking in the door “welcome to Chuy’s guys!” Drew took care of us before we even sat down at the bar. He took time to talk to us and kept making sure we were taken care of as well as Dante. This team is the real deal. There are families here enjoying their Sunday afternoon with great music and a family atmosphere. I believe the management has changed and they saw a need to change the vibe. I’m very happy they did. We will be regulars as long as this continues. Excellent job you guys! Cheers!

My family & I absolutely LOVE this place. Since we have moved out here, this place has been our go to for birthday parties. So convenient on not having to split a bill at the end. Everyone pays as they enter or go throughout their time there. No extensive clean up, just throwing away our trash and rounding up their cups and baskets. The staff is so friendly, the food is great quality and great portions. The prices aren't super crazy compared to other places. Baja sticks are our go to as well as the nachos and quesadillas. Sandwiches there are good too. The burritos are great too, definitely worth the try. They always blow up balloons for the kiddos (which makes for all day fun) Kids meals are great sizes too that comes with a cookie & beverage. Overall, it is my families spot for parties and we don't plan on changing that anytime soon.

Just walking by this place was an exciting time. The food smelled so delicious, my mouth literally watered. Not to mention the live band that was playing, they were having what we call back home, a good 'ol time.

We like going to the car shows held in the parking lot. Music is great but way too loud, it's hard to talk with friends with the loudness of the music.

The new manager has definitely made improvements. Weekday lunch specials for $10, including soft drink or tea. China plates and real silverware now vs plastic. The salsa bar is the bomb. Food is always great. And, on occasion the manager himself delivers freshly baked chocolate chip cookies (complimentary) to the table. My only minor complaint is that the music is often so loud it’s hard to carry on a conversation without yelling at companions.

I’d like to give this place a 1 star, so I don’t have to fight a crowd - but honestly, it’s 5 stars. Zero complaints. The food, the drinks, the service, the atmosphere, the General Manager Andrew - all 5 stars. We’ve been going here for years and I swear it only gets better. Don’t go there, I don’t want to fight you for a table. Don’t order the pulled pork sliders, they are phenomnomnomenal and I don’t want to share.

We had a party here last night with 60+ people and it couldn't have been any better. The food was great, the servers were on top of it and management was amazing. They were very accommodating and blocked off the entire right side of the restaurant for our party and let me bring in whatever decorations I wanted. There was a car show going on and a live DJ as well. Great atmosphere and everyone had a blast. Definitely recommended for your next big get together!

How do I say it. I have never been to Chuy's and I regret every moment of not coming here before. This place is AWESOME!!!!! FOOD IS GREAT. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and Fries. The pictures speak for themselves. Barely finished it. Friend of mine had the Chili Verde Nachos. Almost as good as my burger. The service was great. The servers were very nice and helpful. The decor and the LIVE music was perfect. The band was Mixed Signals, (Their number and UPC is in one of the photos). The decor of Chuy's is unique. Nice to look at which leads to a great experience. I highly recommend Chuy's. I know I will be back.

We really enjoy going to Chuys. We have received consistent quality of food and service and have been multiple times. It has a fun eclectic atmosphere and is good for family and kids. The menu has a little something for everyone and the price points are reasonable. If you're looking for a place to eat, relax and have fun, this is the place.

Stopped in for a drink and some appetizers the food is decent. The nachos were fantastic. The wings were basic bar wings nothing special about them. The drinks we delicious. Would definitely come back for drinks and nachos. Wouldnt get the wings again.

Just had one if the most life changing burgers I have ever had. I've never thought about throwing food away as fast as I felt when I first took a bite. This burger lacked everything you'd expect in a burger. It redefined what a disgusting burger is... If that's what you even want to call it. Update after a couple of years. Food has been great! I don't know what happened with that burger but so far it's been great food since!

I mean it's Chuys. Good beer selection. Decent menu and food is tasty. They have a patio with misters for those that want the freedom to smoke. Indoors is self seating but big enough. My 8 year old nephew loves this place.. mini arcade area. They host car / bike nights and have live music on weekends I believe. Not fancy, but that's what I like.

The food is good, but there is almost always a wait for a table. And, the atmosphere can be pretty "bar like" with televisions and lots of people drinking. We don't usually go here for a family dinner. But, it makes a decent date night spot.

Definitely a great place for a large group. The serving size was very generous! We got the Salmon Salad to share, expecting to order a couple more tacos. We could not eat another bite after finishing the salad! (Side note - it came in a taco bowl that wasn't particularly crisp -we didnt eat it at all-, but the salad was spot on). The drinks were good and fairly priced. We sat at the bar and the service was fine, not exceptional, but not bad either. Overall, I'd certainly come back again.

This place is huge! Inside is HUGE plus the entire huge outside bar and seating. Super fun happy hour- drinks and food. I was very happily surprised by their margaritas. We got the Chuys marg and when it came in a pint glass I was expecting a cup of sour mix, but it was fresh and balanced, I even got another one. They have vegetarian options (tacos, burrito, fajitas) I’m not sure if the veggies are cooked separately or right along with the meat…. Idk if we came when the servers/ bar tenders were swapping shifts or something but the service was not excellent. We sat at the bar and everyone sitting around us was getting check on and putting in their orders but they seemed to be avoiding us.. I had to walk up to the register and wait in line to order drinks and food each time. Kind of annoying. Idk if that’s just the standard here or if we came at a weird time and kind of got looked over? I’ll be back for a happy hour margarita at least!

Food was alright. I got the sliders and the chicken was good. But the trip was hard for me to eat. I do have some broken teeth that plays into this, but I'm used to melt in your mouth, fall apart beef from bbq places and places like this. The chicken was that way. It was good but not great. I'll definitely be going back for that chicken though. Also, no one was wearing masks. Not even the "server". Here you order at the counter and sit anywhere. They bring you your food. It's a great place to bring the kids however as they have a small arcade of like maybe 10 games. They did cl an the tables often so that's a plus. So if your vaccinated or just not to worried about covid, great place to go. I think the staff should have been wearing masks, but it was great to see a smiling face again. And know they are smiling.

I did not really care for the food I got here. Sure, I should have ordered something else, but , just 'meh'. The fish didn't even look like fish - my dining companions thought it was chicken, or maybe tofu. However, it's very fishy flavor assured me it was, indeed, fish.

This place is always a little crazy. And if they're having an event, the patio will undoubtedly become an annoying DJ live broadcast since Fox radio station sets up amps outside fairly often. But the food is pretty good and it's fairly spacious and clean. I will say though, that the lounge to order can get pretty long and annoyingly slow when it's busy. So, again, best to go on slow nights.

We were a little confused our first time. The greeter didn't tell us much and even though there is a sign saying "order here" there is so much fun stuff on the walls and ceilings we didn't notice! You order at the bar (I thought people were waiting for their drinks ha!) The food is okay, prices moderate. Chips were alright. Plenty of fun little games and things for kiddos up front.

The food was good. The beer was cold. Service was great, like always. BUT it was too damn loud inside. Couldn't even talk to the person across the table. For that, i won't go back. Couldn't enjoy our dinner. My wife hated it.

I didn't eat anything, but my husband ordered the tri tip taco platter. He wasn't too impressed. I do enjoy seeing all the painted art on the walls and tables though. The waitress wasn't overly friendly, but they were quick with the service. The portions are pretty large and the free chips and salsa is always a plus.

The restaurant was just cold, loud, and felt more like a cafeteria. The staff wasn't rude but they definitely rushed us through our order and wasn't very friendly to us. My burrito was served to me Luke warm, not even warm or fully hot, the only good part of my meal was the tri tip in the burrito. I used to go here all the time but now I'm not planning on going back anytime soon.

Ordered fried pickles and tacos rice and beans. The meat was really dry in the tacos, the rice was OK but when I went to bite into the beans, there was a big peice of something that wasn't good looked like plastic or something and when I took it up to the register they just took it and said ok. Didn't offer me another side or apologize. This will definitely be the last time I place a food order at this establishment. The inside and atmosphere looks cool. So that I will give them. :)

Great food and service. Came for lunch and it was so loud between the dj outside and completely different music blasting inside. Everyone was almost yelling to be able to converse.

I love the vibes and they also hold fun events. The employees are friendly and provide good customer service. I gave them a lower rating because their food is a hit or miss. Our recent experience with our food was not the best. My daughter receivedthe wrong order, and my wife's burger was sad. The buns and patty were cold, and all it consisted of was bread, patty, and cheese. That's not what she ordered, but we went with it cause we were all hungry and just wanted to eat.

Service was good though this was our second visit both times our order was either lacking one dinner or the second time we received someone else's food and had to wait longer for our food.Then my husband ordered the carne asada burrito and it was just rice and beans very very little carne. Again it's not the best but we do enjoy the adult beverages and the atmosphere we will return . Hopefully the third time is a charm.

Came here for lunch waiting for tires to get finished next door. Ordered the tri-tip tacos with rice and beans. The sides were very good but the flavor of the tri-tip could have been better. Overall food was good will try something else next time though.

Very unique experience eating here from the exterior to the interior has an amazing unique look definitely worth going to check out I had a sandwich that lacked all flavor I had to smother it in barbecue sauce to taste anything. So I'd probably avoid all sandwiches but there Mexican food did look tasty now the chips and salsa they give you for free that tastes good. Prices are on the Steep side for the proportions of food you get.

Comes off as a nice, unpretentious MexiCali eatery. Grab your own menu, find a table, and order at the counter when you're ready. Pay before you eat, and asked to pay your tip upfront. This would all be great if there were some other redeeming qualities. The atmosphere is decent, average. Service was below average. Ordered a draft beer and she talked me up to a half-pitcher but didnt bring me a glass. I guess we aren't that pretentious either lol. We ordered street tacos, hamburger, chicken burrito, and kids bean and cheese burrito. Bill was about $60 after tip. Everything we were served was generally underwhelming. The best part was the rice and the half-pitcher. Overall, here's my breakdown: Atmosphere: 3 stars Service: 2 stars Food quality: 2 stars Food quantity: 3 stars Value: 2 stars.

There are quite a few of us(me and friends) would come here a couple times a week. The food has gone down, happy hour is not as good and prices went up(more than other places) I do miss not coming here because they do have the biggest patio

The environment was nice I liked the tvs and music was playing. But the food was horrible and the prices were to much specially for that poor quality of food. Adult drinks way over price, service they bring you your food after you order it in line. The best was the salsa I had to use alot of salsa to even eat my food. The beef taste like dog food it's not shredded it more like corn beef hash. My kids didn't eat their food they chicken strips were dry. The whole family was disappointed. This is my second time here and both times were horrible. I only come if it's a bday party next time someone wants to have their celebration there I'll make sure I have them go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money here.

Salsa was good. Portion size of food a 1.The food is a 1 star not worth the time or money. Adult drinks way to expensive. My kids didn't eat their food. Chicken strips were dry. My second time to this place both times it was because someone was celebrating a bday. I won't be going back and if someone wants to celebration their bday I'll make sure to NOT recommend this place. Both times I had a bad experience along with the people I went with. Surprised this place is still open. Spend your money somewhere else. People that give more than 1 star are lying.

I'm sorry but food was just beyond bad. We ordered chicken tortilla soup and pullled pork sandwich and both were extremely bland and over salted. The only good thing was the salsa and sweet potato fries. Please get a better chef or stop charging $17 for two buns with overstated flavorless pork inbetween.

We ordered 3 street tacos each. One was tasty(carnitas), one had cold dry chicken, and one was overcooked cold carnitas. The rice was neither Spanish nor Mexican. We thought we could add salsa from their salsa bar to add flavor, but the salsa was so cold, it made our food even colder than it already was. The beans were good and we didn’t even asked for the beans or rice. I had not been to Chuy’s in about 28 years. The first time wasn’t great, but I thought I would give them another chance based on the current good reviews. I don’t like giving bad reviews, but I just couldn’t let this one go. I’m permanently taking them off my list of places to eat! Oh, and the person taking my order pointed to the tips section as I was paying. Shame on me for adding a tip before I had a chance to taste the food!

Warm Beer, Plastic Pitchers, and a Side of Regret If you’ve ever wanted to spend $38 on two warm, funky-tasting beers served in plastic pitchers—yes, plastic pitchers—then congratulations, you’ve found your dream dive. We sat at the bar expecting, I don’t know, maybe some kind of service? Nope. Had to order at the food counter like it was a junior high cafeteria. Except even there, at least the food is hot. The ambiance? Imagine a sad mix of drunks shuffling in and out, and a parking lot that doubles as a rest stop for the local homeless population. Super inviting. Oh, and the cherry on top—they expected a tip. For what, exactly? This place is circling the drain. Do your wallet and your taste buds a favor: go literally anywhere else.
