Coworkers invited me & my girlfriend to try this place out and said it was very good. It was my first time trying turkish food and i was absolutely blown away. everything was so flavorful and fresh, our server Aziz was very helpful guiding us through the experience. I will be back and more people need to check out this place 👍

Beautiful little spot. We had great customer service here on Christmas day. Their menu is on an iPad and they have pictures of everything they serve. My kids said the Turkish 'pizza' was the best 'pizza' they have ever had! We can't wait to go back! Try their specialty drinks and quinoa! The quinoa was the best I have ever had.

Aziz was the best! He not only gave us amazing service, but recommendations and conversation. Excellent customer service feels a little rare these days, but that adds to what makes Cazbar feel like a rare, special experience no matter what time of day you visit. The food is amazing (kudos to everybody in the kitchen 😮‍💨), and the vibe is top tier (beautiful decor, perfect lighting, and unhurried atmosphere for patrons), and personally I was excited to finally try Turkish tea and coffee! Did not disappoint! All the mezes were delicious, and I had the Lamb Moussaka and my sister had the Stuffed Eggplant! *I didn't get paid to review; I'm a local who finally got around to leaving a review.

What a wonderful surprise. We were there on a weeknight so there was not much of a crowd. I don't give many "5s" but this place deserved it. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere and the food far exceeded my expectations, as well as those of the rest of the table. Our waiter was excellent, friendly and honest with his suggestions. The babaganoush was especially good as was the 'Chop Chop' entree and the Dubai Chocolate desert. Highly recommend! Value for price: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Service: 5 Mixed drinks: 4.5 Food: 4.5 The only detraction Is the availability of parking especially with construction in the area. I would call them for suggestions or take an Uber if you can.

We have been dining at Cazbar for nearly 20 years and we always have a great meal and enjoy ourselves. The food is excellent and among our favorites are the Ciger, which is crispy chicken livers, the spinach pie, the lamb chops, the Chicken Pirzola, and the Adana Iskendr. The warm bread is delicious and the cocktails are great too, especially the spicy pineapple margarita. We also love the baklava and Turkish coffee, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Service is always wonderful, especially Azil who is always friendly, kind, helpful and efficient. Azil makes sure you have everything you need and makes you feel at home even if it’s your first time there. Dining at Cazbar inspired us to travel to Istanbul some years ago and we found the experience solidified our appreciation of the food at Cazbar.

My family went to Cazbar this afternoon for lunch. It was a fabulous experience all around. Aziz was our waiter and he did a phenomenal job. The restaurant atmosphere was on point. Aziz said that on Fridays and Saturdays after 8:30 there are belly dancers so I plan to return for that. The food was delicious. Definitely fresh and made to order. All sauces seemed authentic and made in house. We ordered chicken kabob bowls and classic salad with shrimp and salmon. Simply delicious. Aziz brought hot freshly made bread for the table which was a great complement to the meal. The kids got the cheese pizza. The menu saus they have chicken tenders but they were nit available. Only cheese pizza and chicken kabob for kids. They loved their cheese pizza. Pricing was reasonable based on the quality of the food. We all left happy and full. 20 percent gratuity was added for a group of 8 or more so be advised. Planning to return next week to try another menu item and the belly dancers.

Hey, went to this place for lunch and really enjoyed the lamb lunch special which was only 20 bucks. For what you get which to me is quite a bit and I wasn’t able to eat at all. I thought it was a great deal. The service was top-notch. I had the opportunity to meet the owner. He was very pleasant. I intend on putting on events here because they’re open for that and they have a beautiful upstairs. I highly recommend nothing negative to say I will be going again.

We had an excellent experience thanks to our waiter, Aziz. He was extremely attentive, helpful, and supportive throughout our visit. The food was very clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Aziz was very polite, professional, and worked incredibly fast while still giving great attention to detail. We were more than satisfied with the service and truly appreciate his hard work. Highly recommended!

Aziz was an amazing waiter! He made sure to check in with our table about our needs and brought out or food in a timely manner. Plus the food was amazing! I got lamb 3 ways, a figtini, and a complementary piece of birthday cake.

Our server was Aziz who was amazing and fast in service. Food was delicious with Vegan options and happy hour discounts between 4pm-6pm. Traditional coffee feels amazing after food. Highly recommended:)

Simply Outstanding! Great atmosphere. Great food. Kind and friendly service. My guest and I chose The Sultans Platter, which consisted of mezzes (appetizers), a platter of grilled meats with rice, and desert. The mezzes were a platter of 7 different authentic Turkish dips served with warm, soft, crusty bread. They were absolutely divine. Additional bread was served upon request. The grilled meats were excellent... chicken, beef, lamb, and shrimp. The only complaint is that the shrimp were overcooked and mushy. On my next visit I will be sure to ask them to cook the meats lightly. Culturally, they cook meats well done to eliminate bacteria. So, it is my fault for not asking. But overall, i enjoyed every last bite. The baklava was ok. It should have had some crunch, but even without that extra crunch, it was a flavorful compliment to end a great meal. Go to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

“I had an amazing experience at Cazbar in Baltimore. The lamb was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Our server, Aziz, made the evening even better with his attentive and friendly service. He truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Between the delicious food and the outstanding hospitality, I can’t wait to come back!”

We would drive 90 minutes to go to the Columbia, MD to eat at the CazBar. When they reopened the Baltimore location it cut our visit time in half. I love this restaurant, probably my favorite. If you want food with flavor and great service I highly recommend the CazBar, either location.

Cazbar is a true hidden gem! I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch there. It was such a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the courthouse area. The food, service, and ambiance were all equally outstanding. Aziz, was an exceptional server, who made me feel genuinely welcomed, as though I were a guest in his home. Unfortunately, my lunch break was short; otherwise, I could have happily stayed there for hours.

Cazbar is a gem on Charles Street, and we are so fortunate they reopened! They are a small, locally owned business that offers a wonderful selection of authentic Turkish food, a casual and welcoming environment and a friendly and attentive staff. The hummus is simply the best in the world! And the pides...yummmm! Can't wait to go back!

First time dining here and we loved it! The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made our experience special was the service. Our server, Aziz, was so friendly and attentive. He checked on us multiple times, and truly went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Even when my daughter accidentally spilled her drink he handled it with such kindness and didn’t make us feel bad at all. It’s rare to come across that kind of genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The food here is top notch. Nice environment. Romantic, maybe if thats what you are after…A little expensive, and they were a bit upselling, but I think they’re just holding on, maybe? I hope they hold on because it’s great food!

I haven’t even dined here (YET) but 5 stars for Aziz! One of my close friends has been wanting to try the viral Dubai chocolate bar and I went online searching for a place in the Baltimore area that has it. I found the most obscure Reddit post pointing me in the direction of Cazbar, and when I stopped in, I asked for the large bar which was $20. I mentioned that it was a gift and Aziz asked if the person I was buying it for had tried it before. When I said no, he said “ask much as I would like to make a bigger sale, maybe you should get the smaller one which is $7 and then you can come back if they like it.” It may have seemed like a small thing to him but to me, that meant so much. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 14 years now and people like that are hard to come by. I ended up getting 2 of the small bars with the promise that I would absolutely be back to dine and catch a belly-dancing show. Whether she likes the chocolate or not, I’m really glad I stumbled upon Cazbar. Shoutout to you Aziz!

Aziz was who helped us out tonight as our family went here for dinner. Food was 100/10. Thank you Aziz! Id suggest the hummus platter- a must have!! The best Turkish food I’ve ever had. Lamb was also delicious and flavorful. I’d recommend this place to everyone looking for a great dinner.

The food was delicious. Went during lunch and I enjoyed everything! The chicken Sauté was 10/10 The Lamb chops 10/10 We ordered and side of grilled vegetables 9/10- this was over priced for the portion. But nonetheless we enjoyed it. Will definitely be returning with friends.

Service by Aziz was friendly and professional. The food is the best middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine anywhere in the metro area. It’s fresh and authentic. Chicken kabob is marinated and grilled to tender perfection. Cheese boreks of phyllo wrapped around tangy cheese are addictive. And the big salad with walnuts on top is a hidden gem. We love this place and go every chance we have. They also deliver!

They also have great lunch specials and happy hour deals, which makes it an excellent place to enjoy Turkish cuisine at a great value. Aziz is a great server and host. He is always welcoming, professional, and makes sure everything runs perfectly. His attention to detail and warm attitude truly enhance the dining experience. Highly recommend Cazbar if you’re looking for great food, a lively atmosphere, and exceptional service!

It is gorgeous beautifully decorated oasis in the city. A balance of casual and classy. The food is fantastic. Aziz is a welcoming fantastic host and server. I love the chicken, salads, bread and soups. Interesting seasonings and sauces. Healthy and fresh. The kitchen is genius. They have a wide selection of interesting teas and beverages. Lunch is the best deal with great platters to try. The have lunch deals on the weekends as well. Delicious desserts. The only place for Dubai chocholate!

The workplace decided to have a Farewell lunch at the Cazbar in Baltimore. There was 18 employees that attended. We were greeted and taken care of by Aziz. He was the perfect host. We didn't wait long for our food and were all able to eat at the same time. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was terrific. I highly recommend this location for work functions, as it worked out perfectly for us. Thank you very much Aziz.

We had a wonderful meal here on Friday night before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. Portions are very generous, food was delicious- incredibly flavorful- and prices were very reasonable, especially during happy hour. We had such a fast and friendly waiter. Will definitely come back.

Had a wonderful meal at Cazbar a few weeks ago. Ariz was fantastic and took great care of us. The food is authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. Disappointed in the city for making parking such a challenge but the food and atmosphere is totally worth a short walk! Their happy hour specials are incredible. I can't recommend this place enough and look forward to our next visit!

The Baltimore food scene continues to impress. Awesome Turkish spot. Some items are a touch pricey but not egregiously so. Service was good and they clearly take pride in their work. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Cazbar makes for a perfect night out, whether you’re with your partner or a group of friends. Nestled in the heart of Baltimore, this hidden gem captures the essence of the Mediterranean with its dim lighting, rustic décor, and cozy atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant truly comes alive with lively belly dancing performances—an entertaining complement to an already vibrant dining experience. We ordered the Mixed Platter for Two, which came with a generous assortment of hummus dips and a flavorful mix of lamb, beef, chicken, and salmon. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and paired beautifully with rice. To finish, the baklava was the perfect sweet touch—flaky, nutty, and delicious. The service was attentive and efficient throughout the evening, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. While parking can be a bit tricky, it’s a small tradeoff for such a great meal and atmosphere. Overall: A must-visit spot in Baltimore for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean cuisine, warm service, and a lively ambiance.

For a ladies' Nite out, this was a great choice. The Party of 5 really enjoyed the food and the ombiance. Not only was the food good, the presentation was nice as well. Everyone tried something different, no complaints. My dish was a chef special the " Lamb Moussaka". This was wonderful! The only thing they didn't have was Drinks at this location it was BYOB, which I didn't know till I arrived, good thing there was a liquor store about a block down if you need 😊. And no belly dancers at this time, but they will have that again soon. So if you are in the area, try them out!!

Went here with my husband's daughter and her Turkish fiancé. I let them do the ordering and just sampled each one. I forgot the names of the food we got but they were pretty good! We all thought the Cig Kofte being a bit too spicy though. I was so full but didn't feel bad unlike when I eat the usual greasy restaurant food. Very refreshing lunch. Im glad to have tried something new in the area.

Went with friends for a celebratory dinner. The place is beautiful, but extremely cramped. Tables and chairs packed with barely inches to spare. The service was... unpredictable. We had 3 different servers, only one of which knew what they were about, and once we received our entrees we didn't see anyone again for almost 30 minutes (so no cocktail refills). The food was excellent, however, and I've got no real complaints on that front. The baba ghanoush & hummus were delicious, the bread was fresh and crispy. The meats, from the lamb to the chicken and kofte, were fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked. The desserts were also very good, tho I can't really recommend the "baklava cheesecake"; the texture was awful. The baklava itself was great, tho, definitely on par with the best I've ever had. So yeah, I recommend it. Just be prepared for a crowded space and cocktails that are tasty but not particularly strong. Didn't see the belly dancers... so no opinion could be formed.

Food was good. It is on the pricer side. I wish I had more protein on my plate. I really like the nonalcoholic drinks they have.

M

The food is very good. I only give for stars when I find the food will prepared and tasty. Service was also very good. The atmosphere was a bit quiet but it was late relative to Baltimore dining. Overall, a very recommendable place.

I recently visited Cazbar in Baltimore and tried their shish kebab. While the dish had potential, I found the quality of the meat to be just okay, and it was a bit on the dry side. In comparison to other places, the price seemed quite high, almost double in some cases. At $30, I expected a bit more in terms of flavor and tenderness. If the pricing were more in line with the quality, I'd consider giving it a higher rating, possibly four stars. Overall, it's a decent option, but the value could be improved."

I came in with high expectations, but unfortunately the food didn’t deliver. I followed the waiter’s recommendation and ordered the doner/gyro and Adana, but it didn’t look like the pictures and didn’t taste fresh. The Adana kebap was overcooked and slightly burnt. I couldn’t even finish half my plate. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Came here on a Friday night and the place was pretty empty. They did have a belly dancer but vibe is not the same without the proper audience. We ordered the feast for 2 and the appetizer was great, however, our meat platter was pretty disappointing. All meats were overcooked, very dry and tough to chew. We had a couple pieces but ended up having to throw the left overs away because it was inedible. The rice was probably the best thing on the platter.

S

I had high expectations because of the reviews and expensive prices. This place disappointed me to say the least. Prices are way too expensive for this mediocre food. I’m sorry I have to be honest. The Dubai choclate bar fell apart as soon as I opened it(right after receiving it) and did not taste that good compared to others I’ve had. It had too much pistachio past and not enough kitafi, and choclate was too ritch. I also got the Adana Iskender, the meat was okay. Nothing special. The peta bread was so soggy and wet from the meat being on-top it tasted so gross and I couldn’t even finish it. I’m very disappointed. This was my first and probably last time trying. Attached picture of my soggy peta bread🤢 prices are WAY too high for the food that isn’t all that.

S
Shakib Mahmud

The restaurant is not a luxury establishment, so the extremely high prices and additional charges were completely unreasonable. We brought our own cake, yet we were charged $25 just for eating it on-site. On top of that, we were billed an additional fee of almost $70, and the staff still expected a tip. If we were already charged for serving our own cake, why was there another service fee on top of it? We randomly visited this restaurant without knowing how poorly it was managed. The entire experience felt unfair and disappointing. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. If you want to spend over $100 on a meal that should cost around $20, this is where you will end up.
