Seriously, the food we had here was better than TJ's or Trail Boss, which were both horrible and expensive during our stay. Same ole breakfast stuff here at Sonic but at least we could eat it and not drop close to $100 doing it.....and we got it fast too.

I'm gonna give them credit, they are trying with what staff they have. Did it take long to even place an order? Yes. Did it take awhile to get my food? Yes. Was my food hot? No, it was barely warm. But they only had one guy running food out to the cars and drive thru. It seemed to me he was trying his hardest. Nowadays you have to be more patient, everyone is short staff, my field included. It's not easy anymore.

I loved the bell hop girl, she had a lot of facial piercings which was really cool. She made my night. Food was delish as well.

Sheila is the best. She knows her customers and it is always a pleasure to see her. Thank you for making my day

You know Sonic, happy hour is the best time for a snack and a drink. I think 2-4. I love to drive in and eat in the car while I listen to a podcast. Used to go with my buddies after high school and chilled out, that was a lot of fun. The food came out quick, the people were nice, all in all a good time.

So today I had sonic for breakfast. I went to the bandera tx location. I had a breakfast burrito and a vanilla iced coffee. The breakfast at sonic is better than burger King. You can can a iced coffee but in a bigger size. The service at sonic at the bandera tx location is good. I will definitely be returning

Man I needed some food after doing primitive camping close by. I ordered and ate way too much. The burger was delicious, the chicken sandwich was good, popcorn chicken was dry as heck.

Much improved the last couple of times I've been there. Several months ago I had stopped going because you could wait 20 minutes while it wasn't busy and still not be helped. Recently I went back and business seems to be back to normal.

The wait is usually a bit longer than your typical fast food establishment, but nothing too crazy. The staff is always nice and the food is always hot when you get it!

Well, I think Sonic is okay but the rest of the family loves it. I think it's the easy attitude toward making changes, guilt free Route 44 size, and the fact that Sonic is located exactly where you need it. We always come here after a family hike.

Good burgers, order was made properly. Nice and pleasant staff. The tables outside neede to be wiped off. They were clean of trash and food. They had not been wiped down or they need to be sandblasted and repainted. The dome we ate under could use a power wash.

I went and waited for a dink to do half price drinks I waited for about 20-25 minutes. Also they only had two people working. This was on May 29th 2022 I wasn’t very happy about it and I already wasn't having a great day. I asked if they could still honor the drink discount. The girl working wasn't sure she was really nice and went and got her manager and he was very kind and for the inconvenience he kindly upgrade my drink :) I defiantly very much appreciate thank you again y’all!

Good place to stop if you want good food fairly fast and can eat in your car or outside at a table. Great selection, prices are reasonable, service is good and you can leave if your in a hurry. The selection of ice cream is unbelievable!! Never seen so many crazy flavors!! If your in the mood to try a different flavor of ice cream you can't hardly beat this place!

I rate 4 because it is an exceptional sonic also having drive through and atm speculation of possible delivery. I've never used the restroom hear but the grounds are maintained and never with trash. I have witnessed employee checking the facilities and having them cleaned. Great tasting food, timely, never seems to be a long wait. Good quick eating!

2nd update as of 2/3/23 at around roughly 9pm. Since the previous 2 visits we have heard they acquired a new manager and turned things around. First the wait has gotten so much quicker. Our order was taken very quickly, even with other people in stalls and a decent line by a very nice lady. Then our food was brought out prompt and hot and made perfectly. Everyone we interacted with tonight made the whole experience 10 times better. We will be back 1st Update one year later. They still suck. No bacon or grilled onions on the bacon steak grilled cheese and a singular piece of bacon on the double bacon cheeseburger. Dont come here. Have literally came here 4 times for the same order which is just a double cheeseburger with bacon and every time they refuse to put the bacon on it. Doesn't matter what time of day. Doesn't matter whos on shift. They WILL mess your order up.

Please hire more employees. Two people working at lunch time on Saturday is unacceptable. And do not reply with the copy paste response. Managers and franchise owner need to step up and take responsibility.

The staff is nice but its a slow moving place, not fast food by any means. Theybstopped trying to please people with the quality of the food along time ago. Still a good drink spot.

I usually love coming to sonic but for some reason no one is answering stalls and I have been waiting almost thirty minutes for 5 drinks…. This is beyond ridiculous but I already paid and can’t get my monkey back either way…

It’s always hit or miss at this Sonic.lol. The question I ask when Sonic is mentioned…Is ,”Are you sure”? Followed by, “I am not gonna cook if they mess it up”! And finally, “Yes, I will drive by to see how busy they are first”! Lol. EVERY TIME…

Service is always slow it takes at least fifteen mins or longer just to order sometimes longer I just leave after 30 mins I try not to go there very often. If I do it is just for a Sunday.

Did not have eggs, so had to change my order. Requested ketchup to go with tater tots. The server looked me in the eye and said ketchup was in the bag. I tipped her $2 on a $12 order. But after she left, I opened the bag. Lo and behold, there were 4 packets of salt; one which I wanted but none did I ask for but there was no ketchup. I pushed the order button. Got the same girl. Told her there was no ketchup in the bag. She apologized, brought ketchup but did not offer to return her tip for bad service. The American Hotdogs were the best part of the meal. Awesome!

Waited for 15 minutes and never got our order taken, pulled around to the drive thru, ordered, and when we got our order, our burgers were meat, bun, cheese, ketchup, and mustard. No lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, or the hickory sauce that was supposed to be on it.

Short sweet and some really good deals on shakes. Really disappointed at the fact that the 'Malted ' option has disappeared yet again. They were out of onion rings, had only enough mozzy sticks for a small order. All the negatives caused me to decide that this was not worth it. I cancelled the whole order and drove down the road to Dairy Queen.

Staff is always friendly and they try to be as quick as they can, however they are under staffed so patience is a plus. Food is good. The cherry limeade is a must! Definitely my go to drink!

Usually only go for little snack & pretty good! But what happened to the corn dogs? Pretty sure they shrunk!? Hotdog seemed much smaller and cooked well done, so definitely made a difference. I would rather you hike up the price a few cents than change the serving size & taste. Also, every to go order should come with napkins, plain & simple. And appropriate condiments, especially when requested, but no. All these other comments blame the workers, but I think its a TRAINING & Management issue! ??

A large percentage of their drive up kiosks do not work. The touch screen, the order buttons ,the speakers ect. One night we waited for 40 min to just get an order, ( we were not in a hurry and it was later in the evening). We finally got the order in and it took some time to get that. After looking in the windows it appeared they had 2 people working the entire place...Nice people serving and apologized for the delay.

This is my local Sonic so I like supporting them. I haven’t had a ton of issues. But tonight I ordered a hamburger kids meal and we got home and realized it had cheese on it. It’s not just that my kid doesn’t like cheese, he’s allergic to cheese. So now we risk him getting sick if he eats this burger even if I pull the cheese off. I double checked my order, I definitely didn’t order a cheeseburger and they got literally everything else right but the one thing that really mattered. Disappointed. I tried to call and give them feedback but no one answered the phone.

I don't recall every eating here before this visit. I was in the mood for a Cherry Limeade so my husband and I popped in on the Harley and had a bite to eat as well. The burger was okay but when I went to put ketchup on it there was an addition to it that I didn't order, a jalapeno. I didn't complain cause it probably fell into the lettuce or pickle tub. It happens if there was more than one then I would of said something.

Last night we went to the drive through and we wanted a bacon and egg sandwich and we’re told they were out of bacon ! So we didn’t order anything, revenue loss, what is it with places that know that Bacon is a staple in sandwiches and how can you allow it to run out, this morning you will have many customers not happy! Lost revenue! Have a great day.

It's not consistently good nor bad, just depends on the time of day and the type of items you want. Like, the ice cream is never bad, but often the tots are worthlessly cold. UPDATE: 4 Visits to Bandera's facility across 4 days and even the ice cream is melted, not by sunshine spotting, rather from me sitting in wait for upwards 30 minutes for an online order of 2 small Dr pepper floats. Sonic lost me quick, man. Cold wet burgers, unmelted shred cheese coney, and Totchos....are literally nothing more than chili cheese tots with onions n jalapenos.

Few things... Me and my family love Sonic! But waiting almost 15 minutes only to find out the little red button at our stall didn't ring thru was annoying to say the least, we had to move to a different one. And two... the biggest problem of all... NO GRAVY! WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS TEXAS!! You just don't do that! Otherwise I would have gave more stars. But waste my time and take something sacred off the menu and two is what you get. Thats me being nice.

Service is way below average. I waited at the speaker for 5min and 30 seconds and still wasn't even acknowledged. they need more staff during happy hour

I think they were understaffed and the speaker didn't work. We eventually drove off. We weren't the only ones. It was lunch time 🤷🏻. Don't know how good the food was.

Waited in line for over 10 minutes , the car in front of me too. Nobody every took his order. I left without anything as I needed to pick up my kids from school. It was on a Thursday , I was gonna get the specials , corndogs for 50 cents each. Instead I had to pay more at Burger King next door but at least they took my order. Dine In, Take Out or Delivery ? Nope , add Drive Away.

Chili cheese hot dog was average. Soso taste. Waited 10 minutes at a stall before went to drive thru. Asked for ice water and was a charge of .59. Ridiculous. Dont mind paying for cup but dont cost .59.

This location seems to always have problems, which I never complain about, but today I ordered 3 meals to go, managed to get all 3 this time, but when I got home (20 mins away) the bun on my chicken sandwich is so hard (old) and burnt so bad on the inside it can not be eaten. Very upset! It's the only thing I ordered for myself to eat and I can't even eat it, and it's too far to go back and show them. They knew when they put this sandwich together that this bun was no good, but they did it anyway! If I could post a picture I would so you could at least see the burnt side.

Second time our order wasn't right. And not about to drive back, wasting gas and time because they can't do it right the first time. Sonic overall has gone downhill so this is one franchise I will not be going to anymore.

Honestly I want to give y'all a good review but I just can't. The food is never fresh or hot. I stopped coming here a few years ago because my orders were never right. Tonight my kids begged me for sonic and I said fine it has been a while but y'all still couldn't get the order right. It sucks because I know y'all are doing the best you can with the staff you have but I literally should have just thrown that $50 in the trash. All of our order was wrong other than the drinks. Y'all need a manager who knows what they are doing and is checking that the employees are actually reading the tickets before sending out the food. If I'm able to remember multiple people's orders drive there and place the order properly I expect the people working to also be able to get it right. Also y'all need to clean your fryers everything taste like spent oil.

I'm second in the drive thru waiting almost 20 minutes. Watched the server go to the queue of vehicles with food ordered as after me. And she would stop and ask what I ordered after I told her twice already. Still waiting as I type this. If this wasn't a small town I would leave but don't want DNA in my food if I come back (which I won't ever do...).

Went in the parking spot to order at 1:30 pm. Pressed the button and waited. I waited for a good 20 minutes and decided to go through drive thru. I had 2 kids in the back and all I ordered was a large fry 2 choc shakes and 5 pc pizza bite. From the time I ordered which was about 2 pm I didn’t leave the drive thru until 2:20. Now here is the strange thing. I look at my receipt and it says I was charged at 2:06. So I don’t know if that’s when my order happened or if they are printing it out so it seems like they are going faster than they really are. As in they are purposely setting the clock wrong so it looks like it took them a few minutes rather than 20 minutes. The only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because our server Sheila was nice, she dropped a straw and gave us a new one and I commend her for that because I’ve been to places that just pick it up because “it was wrapped”. For the small order I had I should have had it as soon as I pulled up. The car hop wasn’t that busy as everyone was going drive thru (probably because a handful of car hop buttons actually work). It needs help. Either they are just really slow at what they do or there is no motivation to hurry up. It’s fast food and being there nearly an hour just for those things is not fast. I really hope they find out the issue of why they are slow. It could be under staffed but if it is then why not put up signs they are hiring. It’s summer and high school kids could be looking for jobs right now .

Horrible location. I am a local and will not be returning. Spent 20 minutes waiting to even have someone take my order. The manager then offered an Its not our fault the machine messes up on that stall. So block it off then... Several other complaints in the local county chat. Don't waist your money here, head to dairy queen.

Facility closes at midnight, we arrived around 11:30 waited over 20 minutes for some to take our order, while the car to the left of us was joking around with the employee over the intercom so we pulled up to the drive thru waited for around 10 minutes and once we pull up the employee comes on and says they are closed!!! This was Mardi Gras weekend, I feel they should have had more employees working!!

It took over 10 min to get our food witch was 2 grilled cheese burgers,and when the girl brought it to me I gave her total plus tip witch was 15%. She shook her head and gave me a look and smurked...hey kid all you did was bring my bag to me,you didn't take my order,didn't refill drinks,didn't cook it,you simply brought a bag 15ft to me. I didn't have to pay you anything. Go work in a real restaurant and know what it's like to work for your tips..

took me over an hour to recieve a soft drink, lady who took my order was drunk. She almost charged me for a meal when I just asked for a slush, I had to approach the kitchen to ask for my order.

Thanksgiving 1045pm ordered 2 quarter pound double cheeseburgers because normally the small patties are cooked fresh but nope got 4 old dry cold patties where the cheese wasnt even melted it just laid on top. Take pride in what you do!

This is by far the worst sonic their machines to order are broke not working always a line. However the employees are nice but the sonic over could use a facelift and get the machines fixed. We are not in the ghetto

Waited at the drive thru for the person with the headset to take our order. No one said hello or answered us. Waited a few minutes and still no answer. We even saw a worker with a headset walk outside the restaurant and talk on the phone. Very bad experience.

We ordered and waited in line for 20 minutes and then decided to leave before we got our food. The kids that were working there were just hanging around and laughing the entire time we were waiting. Everytime I drive by here, there seems to be several cars waiting to pick up their food from drive thru, past the pick up window.

Ordered two slushes on line and it took over 45 minutes. Staff is clearly not capable of doing their jobs. Nasty run place with poor service. Sad thing there was only one other car placing a order. Had plenty of staff. Never again

Absolute worst. Waited in line at least 30 minutes then got to the order box and waited at least 20 minutes and nobody took the order. People were leaving and honking. They weren't responding at all. Never again. Wasted my whole lunch and couldn't feed my kids.

I've tried to be patient with the sonic in bandera however you have had cars in line honking flashing lights waiting to be served and when I pulled next to the window to leave not only did I see no one paying any mind at all one employee even made eye contact with me and walked away so I had asked if anyone was watching the drive through and was greeted with surprised looks as if they barely realized they were still at work. Again I had tried to be patient with your night shift workers it is not the first time it has happened its become an ongoing trend. Very unsatisfied

Omg the WORST experience at a sonic ever! Ordered at a stall then had to send back disgusting cold food and “conveniently” no one knew how to refund the food I didn’t want. My options were to wait until a manager decided to show for her shift or leave and wait to hear from someone. Called several numbers. No one answers. Still haven’t heard from anyone or gotten my money back. DO NOT GO HERE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE they’re only working off one shared brain cell here.

Most all of their drive in windows are broken and if they aren't broken the screen doesn't show up so you don't know if that one is broken or not and they don't answer when you push the button anyway and I had to get out and go to the door to get help. I tried calling and they don't answer the phone either. I placed a drink order for 1 slush online and waited for 20 minutes when i finally got out and went to door. After I had pulled into 2 different windows to find one that works. Of course cars are coming in and out because they can't find a working window either. Why do they call it a drive in. They could save people a lot of trouble if they would just mark the window as broken. That is the biggest mess I have ever seen. Have talked to the manager but he doesn't care. I guess that's why their stuff is broke.

They attempted to give us someone else’s order twice. When we finally got our food it was cold. Told the attendant that it was cold and his response was”we thought y’all left and food has been ready”. We refused the food, we were not going to pay almost 20.00 for cold food. They need to get it together, whoever owns this business needs to evaluate how their business is being ran.

Stopped by sonic on Monday night after a road block for several hours, waited 23 minutes for our food. When we got home to eat, our burgers were as if they had been in the refrigerator very cold buns. The onion rings we ordered were crumbs there wasn’t any one onion ring looked like they were scraped from the bottom of the fryer. Everything was unetable. The cokes were good. when you go to an establishment and order food and spend 26 dollars and the food is not good, is it wrong to be upset and complain we all work for a living and giving away our money for a service that is not sufficient is like giving your money away for nothing.

11/4/22 wow these people need help. 5:54. Three cars in the lot. It took me 35 minutes to get two burgers. I cant stand slow FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS. I needed a quick snack before dinner. With the family of course. Swung in for a corndog and a 44oz. Yet all I got was some of the worst stomach pains of my life. Well with most people something follows abdomen pains. So thanks sonic for making me late for my wonderful home made dinner. I'll know better just to wait next time too.

This place was horrible. If i could give a zero star i would. It started with i waited 10 min at the stall for them to answer before going thru the drive thru. I ordered a half and half with unsweet tea, cherry limeade slush, m& m sonic blast and a strwberry cheese cake shake. First the car hop forgot my change, when i fi ally recievedy order the milk shake was all water, the sonic blast was melted. The bad thing about it was cars behind me were getting their orders before me that order hamburgers and food. This was my first time visiting this location. I will never go back.

Fast and friendly however, one star is the lowest I could give. I ordered my food and within eight minutes it was delivered. If I hadn’t been heading out of town I would have turned around and demanded a refund. The hamburger patty was very old and tasted as if had just been reheated from earlier. This is not the first time. The entire burger was cold as the patty and bun was not even warm enough to melt the cold cheese. Tater tots were not even luke warm. Save your money and time, eat somewhere else

I am still sitting at Sonic as I am writing this review. We ordered 4 drinks on the app. It has now been 32 minutes since we checked in and we still don’t have our drinks. The sign says under new management. New management hasn’t done this place any favors. This place is a joke!!!

Very very slow service. Most likely just understaffed but you should have to wait 20 min for 2 drinks. Orders get messed up alot it the food taste old.

Waited 20 mins just to get the wrong order and stale tots. Not the first time they have gotten our order wrong. I've been here a few times. Literally... the worst Sonic I've ever been to. The worst fast food place I've ever been to, Period.

It's the best fast food chain... If you want to stay at home the next day vomiting and having diarrhea like you never had it in your entire life. The food tastes like a block of old used sope and comes cold. The dips taste like pure vinegar mixed with a drop of Tabasco. The more you eat the worse it gets. It tastes so bitter that you have to stop eating. That's the worst fast food I ever had. I should have invested the 30 bucks in Beer.

6-9-19 My mistake, thought I'd get a drink after waiting 6 more weeks for service to improve. Got charged for someone elses order and they refuse to refund my card even though they confirmed my receipt had not been paid. Nice way to pocket cash sales!!! Update 3-15-19 - 2 more weeks and nothing has changed. Going on 15 minutes and still waiting for order. And completely wrong when i got it -- Lately the wait is 30 minutes for anything you order. Could be just a drink or a full meal. A young carhop actually cussed her manager to me one night. Service the last 2 weeks has been the worst ever.

Came home late. Got there about 1 hours before close. Ordered food for my four kids. Me and my wife got all the way home started passing the food out. Missing two of the cheeseburgers. Two of the kid meals only had fries and a toy in the bag. My chili dog did not have cheese on it or chili. It was a hotdog in a bun. Seems like they did not want to make my food drove all the way back to the store to see if I could get them to remake my food or something because I was missing items and the food was not made correctly and was told there was nothing they could do. They’re already closing up. Me and my family have been going to sonic for years. Just recently moved to. This is the worst experience in the worst sonic I have ever been to. So sad to see that my local sonic is not a place I can go definitely not serving the food. Me and my family came to love so much.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to even take our order and Jesse who took our order had an extreme attitude. It took 30 minutes for them to finally bring out the food and the tots, onion rings and burger was cold… the only hot thing was the burrito. There weren’t many cars there and we were there for 40 minutes.

If you are a fan of waiting 32 minutes for your order until you finally drive off food less - this is your place. Asked the carhop what’s taking so long and she said - I’m aware. Good coaching opportunity for that employee for sure. Will not stop there again.

WORST SONIC EVER. Food takes forever, it’s completely unacceptable. And 9 times out of 10, your order will be WRONG. Don’t waste your time or money going there.

Terrible service. Pulled up in the drive through and no one said anything for over 10 minutes. We watched as the 3 cars in front of us got their orders. Since no one said a word, we pulled up to inquire about their broken drive through speaker. As the employees walked by, they did not smile or care to acknowledge us. Just terrible training.

Ordered a banana shake and was told ice cream machine was not working right after an employee delivered ice cream to another customer. Service was very rude and felt discriminated because I was asking the passengers in my vehicle what they wanted to order in Spanish. Waited 10min for someone to answer the comm. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. I would rate a 0/5 stars but its not available.

I asked for a slushie with nerds and I double checked with the person serving me before and after it came out and what do I find? No nerds! This is the 2nd time in a row that this has happened even though we were charged for it!

We drove almost 30 minutes to get here and planned to get tater tots and some sonic blasts as a snack. Well sure enough, the guy taking our order was quick to inform us that the ice cream machine is down. Now whether it was actually down or the workers hadn’t felt like starting it up yet for the day, I don’t know. But he gave me no explanation, no recommendation of when to try coming back for it to be fixed. Sonic seems just about pointless without their ice cream machine. We cancelled our order and went somewhere else.

This Sonic has big issues, makes you wonder how clean it is internally. On-line ordering is constantly unavailable. The time it takes to order IF they decide to answer after pushing button. The time it takes to get the food and hopefully it is at least warm. This tells you something about Sonic as a corporation. To be fair you do have to stop and think it is located in Bandera. Sonic and the other inferior establishment coming into town must be in competition for last. Maybe it is the employee's at all the fast food franchises in Bandera.

Every single time I've come to this sonic it's taken FOREVER for them to bring food or drinks. Most of the time all I get is a drink/shake and it takes them way too long, it's ridiculous. Who's managing this place? It's not even that busy and I'm still waiting for my drinks. I got here by 6:30 pm and it's currently 6:57 pm. There is no need for it to take this long. Either get these workers to speed up and improve or close this place down. Extremely disappointing, this is supposed to be a FAST FOOD place.

I'm guessing the girl in a red shirt was the manager on duty when my food was brought out the tater-tots and fries were cold I asked them to please remake them all she did was dio them into the frying and brought them back and still cold and gross. And I feel sorry for the poor girl that had to bring me out cold food directed by her manager.

Every single time, without fail, my food is absolutely cold. Doesn’t matter if I get a burger, fries, corn dog, or literally anything that should come out hot, its cold to the touch. It’s a gamble on if you’ll get food poisoning or not. Even if there are no cars in front of me waiting on an order, it takes them forever to take an order. Then you’re waiting on your food minimum 15 minutes, even if you only ordered a fry. No explanation as to why they take so long. I hope yall get cited for the things yall get away with👀

Either this store needs to offer more money to It’s employees or it needs to be shut down. The amount of times it’s taken over 45 minutes to get help is beyond ridiculous. They lost TONS of money tonight just due to the lack of available workers and the fact they are so busy they cannot take more orders! The whole building is falling apart and they have taken the majority of the stalls away! So now it’s either sit in a horrendous long drive through line while blocking others in or noble order and still wait an hour for a few drinks and fries. We have very little options in this town and I’m so disappointed that it’s this horrible. Fix something or leave so we can get a fast food joint that doesn’t take longer than a sit down restaurant to feed us.

Didn't give half price. Would not allow me to order at the speaker. Had to use drive through. Took over 15 minutes to order so I could not receive the 1/2 price special. It seems they are understaffed. Not focused in customer service.

If I could give this a zero star I would most definitely, I pulled up only 2cars there. It took 30 minutes to get a burger and mozzarella sticks 30 minutes there excuse was it was busy?? I got off my vehicle to ask what's going on and young lady was sitting on the floor. Just the worst sonic ever I advise anyone visiting bandera to steer clear of this place

Waited at least 30 minutes, just to order at the drive through, then the food was cold. Good thing I wasn’t in a hurry. There were only two cars ahead of me. I’m not exaggerating. Never again. 🤮🤮🤮

Just meh although Cherry Limeades are good. UPDATE: not good food service. Grilled cheese was absolutely junk, uneatable, and close to unsanitary.
