This place has pivoted decently after undergoing a shift in ownership and location. My wife, our 5 year old son and I went here for dinner and enjoyed it. We opened up with the Mussels. Yum! Delicious! The sauce was fantastic. The mussels felt fresh, and although the bread was a little on the stale side, the sauce and mussels made up well for it. We followed it up with the Alaskan Halibut. My wife liked that it wasn’t too rich or overwhelming. We both agreed the Halibut was fresh, cooked well and the mushroom sauce very tasty. I personally like Halibut served with a more contrasting and rich sauce; but that’s just a personal preference. Pro tip: make sure you mix your bites of Halibut with the mushroom sauce instead of going one at a time. But I think lots of people would appreciate the less overwhelming take of the recipe at this place. For our son we ordered the spaghetti with meatballs from the kid’s menu and were very impressed by it. I stole a taste of it and thought the meatballs had the perfect Italian taste. Our waiter was a nice albeit a bit dry gentleman; but did a good job with answering questions, checking on us and keeping our entrees coming on time. Now, for those into the whole Michelin rating thing (I am not, but) here is an interesting tidbit. Our son dropped a knife midway through our meal, and it was never picked up (haha). There is a picture to prove it. But I don’t care about that. I just simply care that the food was great, the service was great and the atmosphere was also warm, pleasant and welcoming. They could use better sound dampening (ask the owner of Brooklyn Trattoria for guidance), but that’s expected at a new location. Overall a worthwhile visit!

Came here to celebrate a job promotion. We were seated promptly but our server took over 15 minutes to come to the table to acknowledge us. She may have been on a break but she was no where in sight for a long time. We got a chance to browse the menu and ordered our food and drinks eventually. Thankfully, food came out promptly and the waters were refilled very attentively. The appetizers are delicious and the entrees are great. The pizza is just meh.. slim on the toppings for the price. Drinks are spendy but the entrees are delicious and generous which matches well with what they charged. Dessert is reasonably priced and portioned well. We will come again when the menu changes. Not a fan of gorgonzola so had to skip the steak while my husband devoured it.

Enjoyed an unrushed magnificent feast with my bestie. Everything was prepared to perfection.

This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is great, very classy and the service is outstanding. We have been going to DeCarli for more than 10 years now, and not one single time I have left unhappy, the cocktails are crafted with care, with real fresh ingredients, every single item in their always changing menu is exquisite, and don’t get me wrong! when I say “always changing” I mean that they keep it fun and interesting, but also the classics and favorites stay, you’ll always find something to come back for and something new to indulge your senses on. Josh has been our server of preference these past years, and he goes above and beyond to make sure our experience is never less than excellent. Like I said before, long live DeCarli and it’s delicious food.

Great service, as usual..the criminal mushroom "salad" could use just a little bed of greens for a texture variety. But excellent flavor. Squid ink pasta was cooked perfectly with a fun, spicy red sauce. Beef short rib was a plentiful and was well done.

I’d like to say this is a bit of a hidden gem. I only discovered it because I googled the name out of curiosity. Their a flavorful Italian restaurant (21+), with dim lighting, and a wonderful ambiance. We had the bread (como) & butter, grilled octopus, blue crab risotto, and the lamb ragú. EVERYTHING we had was wonderful and extremely flavorful. We will definitely be back.

Good food, cocktails and I like the decor. A bit slow and they forgot some wine but nobody's perfect. Excellent steak tartare. I wish it came in a larger size!

Always an amazing experience with some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth. The dessert isn't anything to write home about...but the food, cocktails and wine choices are phenomenal. Update 4/19/23: Last night I had the LAN ROC FARMS PORK COPPA and was not impressed. It was way too salty and the pork had too much fat left on it making it unpleasurable to eat. I did enjoy the wine recommended by the waiter. My group shared multiple appetizers and they were all excellent.

Perfection in a restaurant. Anyone giving this place less than a five star review is overly picky. My girlfriend and I use this as a place for special occasions when we feel like treating ourselves to some of the finer things. You can't go wrong, so go with your gut; however, if you're looking for recommendations, I suggest you start with the meatballs and burrata when placing your drink order. I really enjoy the pizzas, and the beef short ribs are incredible! I'm proud to say, that I've been looking for the best creme brulee in Portland/Beaverton, and so far Decarli is #1. The service is top notch, and they time the courses exceptionally. Also, ignore the comments about the location. It's really not bad at all, and there's plenty of easy parking, even in the evenings.

What a wonderful anniversary dinner! Our server was Bryan, so friendly and positive. We had short ribs and taggliatelli, both amazing. I would eat the short ribs again and again. What a treasure in downtown Beaverton (yes, it has a downtown.) Great wine list, too.

Always a great experience here. We typically visit to celebrate special occasions. Food is always excellent! I highly suggest the short ribs❤️

What a wonderful meal. We had dinner at DeCarli to celebrate a birthday and absolutes it. Bobbie was so friendly and she helped guide us through the menu selections. She made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and the brownie dessert was amazing. We will definitely go back. Thank you DeCarli for bringing gourmet food to Beaverton.

Very nice Italian restaurant. Recipes are creative , Food is fresh and perfectly cooked. Very nice and professional servants . Only thing that drops my rating down a little is that I personally felt the ambient might be a bit dim.

First time having their pizza and it was amazing!!! Love this spot- especially the cozy bar area. The rest of the restaurant feels a little cavernous but they have done a great job of making it inviting. Oh- and Polenta fries??? Yes please!! Server did not wipe down our table- but we kinda rushed her by sitting right after she cleared it. Otherwise amazing in every aspect!

My 15 year old grandson and I went here for dinner after a movie. It was delicious!! We had the Burrata starter and the Boars head pasta. It was very special. Our sever Brittany was lovely and very attentive. We will be back! A new favorite. ❤️

I obviously miss the old location's old charm, but they did a great job with bringing that into the new space. And parking is also better! Everyone there was just so kind, and the food was absolutely incredible. We ended up getting salmon, salads, and fries and enjoyed everything. It might have been our particular booth, but the padding in the booth was basically flat, and we sank down pretty deep. It's not a deal breaker, but I figured people should be aware in case of mobility issues

This was one of the best meals, if not THE best meal we’ve had. We had an unplanned night out, came from out of town and chose from Google. We were beyond impressed with both the quality, creativeness, and taste of the food. Completely inspiring. The service was completely professional. We were served by the bartender, who was new and open about that, but always made sure to get us a thorough answer for every question we had. No complaints. So so good. This is where we will go next time we’re back in town for doctor appointment.

You can tell they put a lot of care into their ingredients and presentation. Cedar Hills is lucky to have a gem like this! I’ll definitely be coming back — next time with more friends so I can sample even more of the menu.

Last night me and my husband we went for our date night dinner here. It had been on my list for a while but somehow didn't go until last night. I was really impressed by their service crew, each of them were really attentive. Both me and my husband are vegeterian and there weren’t many options in the pasta. But they really carefully listened to me what I wanted and recreated my ask! Same with the pizza, they were very accommodative in creating a vegeterian version as per my request. Also it was one of the best tasting pasta I had since my last Italy visit, the pasta was cooked just perfect, not overcooked, not undercooked. The tastes were balanced and without overwhelming taste of any particular ingredient. And their pizza base bread is the best, it was so fluffy like melt in your mouth kind. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful meal at decarli last night for our anniversary. The short ribs truly deserve the hype, we were blown away. The seafood pasta was amazing as well. Cocktails were well balanced with good variety. My partner loves classic cocktails and I love unique ones and they had a selection of both. He was a big fan of the walnut bitters old fashioned. We split a steak tartare appetizer and a salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Our server was very warm and attentive despite the busy restaurant, and our food came out quickly. This was our first time at decarli and we left with a very positive first impression. Great atmosphere, romantic without feeling stuffy. I am confused by some of the reviews- who cares it’s in a strip mall? Parking was easy and it’s not like we’re in NYC, it’s Beaverton we’re talking about. 10 years ago the whole town was basically a strip mall. Overall 5 stars and we will be back.

Fantastic. Warm. Friendly and great, tasty amazing food. It's all fresh. Home made with lots of love which shows in the dishes. Great selection. Their Linguine Nero is delicious beyond belief. Their home made gelato is superb. Nice portions that will leave a smile on your face. Highly recommended.

Great food, wine list and bar program. Also- Shout out to the staff here, both back and front. Thank you for dealing with my gluten free to go orders. I know they are a pain but they are very much appreciated. Also if there was a ‘tip the kitchen’ or ‘buy a round for the kitchen’ line to the menu, I think it’d be a great addition.

Decaril is a bit of an odd one. Excellent date night restraunt. Hidden in a strip mall. Once your inside its a classic upscale restraunt. The happy hour in the bar starts earlier than dinner service and makes for a fine place to wait. The pasta dishes are wonderful, and I'd recomend trying them before the short ribs. Becuase you'll probably just keep getting the short ribs. The spatzel pasta is delicious and balances the ribs with their horse radish topping. The brownie and apple crisp are both excellent ways to end the meal.

This was the first time going to eat at we had our staff party /dinner here everything was really good. We had appetizers. We also had all of our main dinners and then we also all had dessert. Some people got specially drinks. Most of us got soft drinks or water I had a New York strip steak. It was really good with au gratin potatoes and brussel sprouts. If I liked brussel sprouts that would be great. I don't but the staff was very nice. We had about 18 people so there was a lot of people and they did a great job and when we left the restaurant it was packed. They have a bar separate. I don't know what the prices were because I didn't check them because we were at a party that boss was paying everything was cleaned and it was a great time. I would definitely go again. It is in the middle of Beaverton. They used to be right smack dab in the old part of Beaverton a little tiny place. Then they moved to a much bigger place in Beaverton you do need to make a reservation. Place is pretty busy all the time. You if you go maybe try the bar. If you don't want to make a reservation then there's only like a couple people who are by yourself. Otherwise I would make sure to make a reservation before you go

We went the night before Valentine's Day and fortunately had reservations! Lovely food, lovely people. The brick chicken was excellent that night, and as leftovers!

The pizza was delicious, the space felt open and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience!

My partner and I had dinner with our new frinds last night. I recommended this restaurant because it's clean, the staff is always friendly, and their food is good. I ordered the shortribs and I thought it was a bit too garlicky this time. I LOVE garlic, but it had the bitterness taste of raw garlic. The beef was tender and tasted good as I remebered. Our server was very friendly and patient― He tried not to interrupt our conversation. decarli is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Portland.

For my birthday celebration, I decided to explore fine dining options in the Beaverton area and came across an enticing restaurant through Google. I made a reservation via Resy, and upon arrival, I was pleased to find the restaurant nestled among numerous shopping locales, making it an ideal spot for a celebratory meal. The atmosphere was vibrant, especially for a weekend evening, indicating the restaurant's popularity. The staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. To start our meal, we indulged in an array of appetizers including steak tartare, which was expertly prepared, Polenta Fries that were perfectly crispy, and fresh oysters that were simply delightful. For our main course, we ordered the hand-thrown pizza, which arrived with a beautifully thin and crispy crust that was both satisfying and delicious. I also appreciated the cocktail selection, which was impressive and complemented our food nicely. All in all, I was thoroughly impressed with the excellent service and the cheerful demeanor of the staff throughout the evening. It made my birthday celebration truly special. Keep up the great work and the smiles!

Although the service and atmosphere were excellent, we were disappointed in the food offered for “happy hour”. The short rib beef sandwich looked great however the taste was a disappointment. Also, there is no value in happy hour as you are only saving $2 on well drinks and paying full price on the food. My advice is to skip the happy hour menu as the food is marginal and options are slim.

The food, drink and service here are top notch. The kitchen produced food that was delicious with complex flavors that leave you wanting more. The bar mixed cocktails that were classically executed and hit the spot. Our server was a bright spot in an field that is struggling for lack of talent. He made the night even that much better. The only thing that they lack, is there location. Being situated in a strip mall is not ideal, but you quickly forget where you are once you walk through the door.

I've been meaning to try them out ever since they moved into this location. The interior is pretty spacious and can fit a large party. The bar section was pretty nice and is separated from the dining room. We shared a few things and were pleased with it. The items we had were the Butter Lettuce, Cavatelli, and Beef Shortribs. The beef shortrib dish was the standout dish. It's pretty flavorful and tender. The Cavatelli was also pretty good, and you can taste the rosemary in it. Overall, it's a pretty chill place to come for dinner.

The food spoke for itself. We started with the grilled octopus and steak tartar. Both were top tier. Our group then shared a pizza, tagliatelle, and short ribs with a nice bottle of red. The chanterelles on the pizza were tasty and who doesn't love a tagliatelle?! The Short Ribs we're my favorite as they were fork tender and was topped with some good ole horseradish. Ended with ricotta fritters and a scoup of rocky road gelato. -1 * for the corny server asking if it was delicious every 10ish minutes. We will be back again for the food.

Very good food. One of the best Beaverton restaurant to eat on special occasion also. It was booked for full capacity and service can be better ( less staff to provide timely service). This is reson for one less star. Hopefully resturant will read these reviews and try to fix.There was no one to attend at reception for 5 minutes after arriving on time as per reservation . They have crowded reception with seating arrangements at high density near to reception counter . With no one at reception to attend , it has become airline boarding at big airport .

Had dinner last night with a large group. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Pretty much everything here is pretty good but my squid ink pasta was too al dente/hard and a little chewy. The seafood was good. The kids menu is excellent and the pizzas are pretty much adult size. Very good value. Kids loved the butter pasta as well.

Overpriced mediocrity in an uncomfortable setting. We had a party of 9 and were looking for a place to celebrate several birthdays. Since we had such great food on a recent trip to Italy we thought we'd give this local Italian restaurant a try. The good news: the waiters and service staff were helpful and friendly. But that's where the good news ends. We ordered a variety of dishes ranging from pizza to short ribs to chicken. All were expensive, e.g. $28-$38 per dish, and none were better than just OK. The pizza couldn't hold a candle to some of the really good pizza places in the greater PDX area, for example Sorentino in Vancouver WA. And the atmosphere was noisy with obnoxious (not Italian) background music. Desserts, for example the Afogatto were tiny and grossly overpriced, as well as, in one case, apple crisp so sickly sweet as to be inedible. Lastly, the final bill had a 25% tip added which we thought was excessive, and the grand total was pretty shocking given the "Meh" food and below "Meh" setting. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Good food, as always, but service was very disappointing. We sat around for a long while before water showed up and longer delay for drink orders and much much longer wait before drinks showed up. Same scenario for dinner orders!! And our 2nd drinks (glass of wine) showed up as we were finishing dinner. We have been a customer forever and have never seen DeCarli this disorganized.

Mussels were excellent. Caesar salad was very good. Crab linguine was very disappointing with a tiny amount of crab. Pizza was not special but fine.

The attitudes of pretty much everyone needs to be tuned down by a lot and for the love of god refill the drinks. We paid $107 + tip for 2.. wild.. The itty bitty glasses for coke… full of ice.. plus sitting for 10 minutes before a menu even reached us. I won’t be coming back.
