This was our first family meal in Rome and it was fantastic. The food was great, but the best part was the kindness of the servers. They welcomed us, a Korean family, so kindly from the beginning, and they were so kind from the food description to the alcohol guide. Their smiles and words at every moment made me feel cared for and interested, and it made my impression of Rome as a city itself improve. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area because of the best servers and delicious food.

Terrific local spot that we found while wandering around. The food and service was excellent. The owner was very nice. Menus came in English and Italian.

They deserve every 5-star review. The service was excellent and personal. They gave fantastic wine recommendations and the food was great. The decoration and atmosphere could be more romantic though! A small restaurant with authentic italian food and little to no tourists (except us). The waiter gave us Limoncello as a gift (5 big glasses) and it was the best I've ever tasted. They could up prices 50% and it would still be worth it.

Absolutely amazing food, the staff is incredibly nice and professional. The owner took great care of us and was answering all of our questions. The spaghetti ala Carbonara and the truffle fettuccine were just pure perfection. This new management deserves 6 stars! Will definitely come back if visiting Rome, and really recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic food and desserts.

Absolutely amazing, I’m so glad I was recommended this restaurant by TheFork. Our server and sommelier were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. We went to some other fancy restaurants in Rome, but this place really feels like home with wonderful wine and food. I usually don’t write reviews but my family really loved this place!

Come to This Restaurant!! You will not be disappointed as the food is absolutely wonderful and they are so attentive and caring with their customers. They listen to what you want - whether it’s wine or the meal and they will guide you to having a perfect experience. The fettuccine with mushrooms and penne Arrabiata were delicious as was the bread (even the crust was delicious and it was the best we had in Rome) and the Somalia spent time listening to what we love in a wine and selected the perfect bottle for our meal. The chicken breast we shared was cooked in a charcoal oven and it was flavorful and delicious! You will love this meal and the experience!!

Amazing experience with both Valerio as our server! One of the best non-touristy restaurants in town under new management. A cozy environment with limited seating so definitely get your reservation in. Hearty authentic food. Loaded with truffle if you like. Great vibes, delicious food. Definitely returning for more when I'm in Rome!!!

Amazing food here in Rome! It’s quiet, unassuming but serves amazing food from starters, pasta to seafood and meats! The team is also extremely friendly and sincere, very welcoming! Highly recommend this place if you are in Rome!

Wow, the best authentic food experience in Rome. Da Mario is family owned, and WAS the best place that we had to eat in Rome. We had a chance to speak to owner and his family, we were was amazed by his insight into wine and professionalism with passion. We searched low and high for the “non-touristy” spots and this really hits the nail on the head. We chose this place to have our engagement dinner and were pleased to do so. Not even sure why this place has anything under 5 stars.Take the extra cab fare and get to a place that knows authentic Italian food. You will not be disappointed.

We were looking forward to come here because the online reviews were very good. Unfortunately, it was so disappointing. First of all, none of the waiters showed any smiles, and their attitude felt generally gloomy and unwelcoming. The food itself was average, not so tasty. This is a truffle-focused restaurant, it may have been a mistake not to order a truffle dish. I had the charcoal-grilled entrecôte, which was good quality but cooking was not good. It was overly salted and too salty for my taste. My wife ordered spaghetti all’arrabbiata, but due to a lack of clear communication from the waiter, penne was brought instead. We were told that fettuccine would be faster, so we agreed, but the dish was disappointing in both flavor and portion size. What was especially noticeable was that other tables ordering truffle fettuccine received much more generous portions. The most frustrating part was the wine. We ordered two glasses of red wine, and the quantity was extremely small, yet each glass cost €12. I understand that they do not offer house wine, but this should have been clearly explained when ordering. Charging €12 for such a small pour (possibly less than 100 ml) felt it's unfair. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we will not come back here.
