Preguntas frecuentes sobre Chai Thai Noodles
Opiniones de Chai Thai Noodles Berkeley
I always get Tom Yum Noodle Soup. Gone to several Thai resturants in the bay area and they have the best soup. Would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
The lunch special on the week day is the best deal you can get here. Otherwise, I think the menu is a little pricey. Though it is Berkeley and I understand. The yellow curry I ordered was dense with flavor and full of toppings. The fried calamari was very light and crispy but I'm pretty sure it's not fresh squid.
Been to Chai Thai twice now and will come back again. Very tasty and every dish that I’ve tried this far has been great. The curry can get quite spicy even at medium, so I would suggest mild unless you like a lot of heat. Service is friendly. It wasn’t busy both times I went but likely it’s because of the location, not much foot traffic. Worth the trip if you are looking for good Thai food.

I love the noodle soups here, especially Tom yum and Kao soy, and the stir fried dishes, especially Pad kee mao! I like the fact that they're not overly sweet and spicier than what I typically have at Thai restaurants in the Bay, which is great. I wish spice level can be higher, but my friend disagrees so could be just me.
Generous portions, attentive service, delicious food, cute interior. My fave is the Chiang Mai Noodles! 🤤 And I love that the pad thai and pad see yu are very flavorful and saucy. They often have the basketball game on the big screen too. Great neighborhood spot, please support them!
The food here is consistently delicious. We are thrilled they are in the neighborhood! It's definitely our go-to thai place.
Curry, fried rice, satae, and spring rolls were all great. Great portions with the lunch special too
Food is amazing and never disappoints. I’ve ordered in-restaurant and to go with both experiences leaving me very satisfied. Highly recommend.
The tom ka chicken coconut milk soup. Is fabulous. Coconut milk and lemon grass is the flavors in this soup. Perfect on a rainy day.
Love this place. The hour shift change they are closed for is a bit inconvenient but the food is worth it. Love the Kaopoon Noodle soup. YUM
I love the food in this place. We always order the crab fried rice and the pad Thai and it’s delicious !!! Fragant, flavorful, tasty, it never disappoints. I highly recommend it !

I love this spot! I dine in and order out from here all the time. For years now. It’s a staple for me. Everything is delicious and I’ve only had good experiences here.

This restaurant has been on my want to go list, so I was excited to try it out! We ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) and the Gang Khew-Wan (Green Curry). The Pad Kee Mao was tasty, the flavor leaned slightly toward to a sweeter, tomato flavor side, but it was still enjoyable. The Green curry came with generous portion and was really flavorful. I especially really liked the eggplants, the texture was great and the seasoning was on spot!
I’ve been to this place twice and the Pad Thai never disappoints! My friend had the Yellow Curry and it was also very tasty. The place is never very crowded, so no need for a reservation.
Best pumpkin curry I've had in a while!!! my fav used to be Chai Thai in Oakland so it's nice to know there's now one in my neighborhood. Papaya salad with shrimp and my drunken noodles were AMAZING!
Food, decor and service were all good. My main complaint is very small portions for relatively high prices. For example, the roti curry plate (pic below) was beautifully presented but tiny!

We got take-out and as always, the food was terrific. We got one wrong thing (white rice instead of the brown we ordered), so the order wasn't perfect, but we love your food.

Big thumbs up for this restaurant's cozy and nice ambience. Seating was roomy and comfortable. Everything was clean. Staff was attentive. There was a good selection of dishes on the menu. We liked the curry dishes and the Pad Se-Ew Noodle. The tapioca drink was also good. The Pad Thai Noodle was too sweet and too saucy, unlike its traditional counterpart. Overall, it was a pleasant dinning experience.
My experience was very different than the glowing reviews I had read of this place! :( The Thai iced coffee with coconut milk was cuddled, and slightly off. The appetizer fresh rolls with tofu were good. And the spicy peanut sauce to go it was excellent! The entrée however, left us underwhelmed. We ordered spicy crab noodles and chai Thai noodles. There was something way off with the spicy crab noodles, and the chai Thai noodles was very oily. The rating is for the serve staff and the cozy ambience. I however wish i had the opportunity to give my feedback to the staff themselves who seemed to be in a rush.

I like the ambiance a lot: quiet, clean, cheerful but not not bright or garish decor, and great for conversations. However I don't like the food: I have had several meals there which are very salty and garlicky.

Picked up my food and was almost headed back to mine when I decided to eat the spring rolls in my car, when I opened the box I could clearly see the shrimp had rotted, seafood food poisoning is a serious thing. I went back in to show them and they offered to re-make the rolls but I refused as there was no way to ensure the new rolls wouldn’t come in contact with the contaminated shrimp. Shame on the cook for not paying attention at all! If that’s how they would present my food I cannot imagine the lack of safety that is taken with the other food prepared in that kitchen. Will not be risking my health at this place again.
